Morning

Jamantha - glad DD is happier today....mine seems to be as well although she's down for her nap ATM and its early days!

Vio's letter was heartbreaking wasn't it?

That thread was a great read last night...the vibrators one was particularly good ...FayLisa's was as well...

Bumper / BZ....hope today is a better day for you

daisyandbabybootoo · 20/09/2007 09:13

Jamantha....I'm glad things look sunnier all round this morning.

Word of advice on toilets...get a plumber! My DH spent about £25 on bits to fix our toilet....couldn't do it, broke the bit and then we ended up having to call out a plumber and it cost us another £100 ...I should've done it myself, but DH likes to go all caveman on me from time to time.

My lovely DD was up at 3am . I fed her for a bit, she wouldn't settle, so DH brought her downstairs and she polished off another 5oz of EBM. she settled at about 5am and then was up again at just before 8. She is going to be cranky and mizzy today of she doesn't go back to sleep!

that thread did make me laugh. I was reading the choicest ones out to DH and the two of were killing ourselves. It's the forst time we've had a laugh together in ages

BadZelda · 20/09/2007 09:14

So do I! Couldn't sleep for ages last night worrying, so I'm knackered now. But at least I didn't have to clean poo of DD1, her room, toys etc at 5.30am like yesterday morning - so much more cheery today ;)

daisyandbabybootoo · 20/09/2007 09:15

Take it easy today BZ...it'll seem like a breeze with only two kids to look after!

BadZelda · 20/09/2007 09:23

Yeah - I really don't make life easier for myself do I? Think I'll take em down to brockwell one o'clock club this morn, so DD1 can play whilst DD2 feeds. She was on every hour yesterday - but DH reckoned maybe because I was SO stressed, letdown was affected and she wasn't getting much milk.

daisyandbabybootoo · 20/09/2007 10:43

AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAARRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!!!! !!!

trendaverter · 20/09/2007 10:58

hello all

Well yesterday got the post to find that DS's passport application has been rejected AGAIN. 3 times now....

Stupid nappy woman is telling me she has refunded me my money, but she HASN'T, despite me emailing her screenshots of account to prove it

Took LO to be weighed to find he is dropping on his centile thingy and no longer thriving, and got lecture from HV who is talking to me like I am stupid, I say he is not gaining weight as his reflux has been bad this week, despite dr's diagnosis HV continues to try and tell me it's NOT reflux, it's POSSET. (OH REALLY, posset travel in 2m arcs across the room does it? )

DS vommed all over the throw rug so I put it in the wash, it decides it's life is actually over while in the dryer and spurts out chenille ALL OVER the house causing me, DH, DS and the dog to spend the evening coughing and itching

GRRRR

But I did get the housework done.

TALLULAHBELLE · 20/09/2007 11:07

Poor TA! Things can only get better.

Whats up Daisy ?

daisyandbabybootoo · 20/09/2007 11:19

passports!

ROFL TA at you having ishoos as well....in an ironic oh isn't bearaucracy crap kind of way!

Ours stems from fact that DS was born in Scotland...I mean Scotland FFS, it's hardly a foreign fucking country.

or is it?

daisyandbabybootoo · 20/09/2007 11:20

TA surely some weight loss is OK when he is as big a lad as yours is and you have a very long way to go before he can be considered FTT?

TALLULAHBELLE · 20/09/2007 11:22

We got DD's UK passport easily enough - well except for taking the bloody photo- but had to get her a visa to enter Australia. Surely with her dad being Aussie & me holding Aussie citizenship she should be automatically Aussie too.

foxybrown · 20/09/2007 11:25

Gotta love British Beauracracy (sorry, can't spell. Had trouble with 'packet' earlier! )

I LOVE Thursdays!

TALLULAHBELLE · 20/09/2007 11:29

What happens Thursdays?

AIBU - to feel insulted by DH enquiry "So, have you lost all the baby weight yet?"

foxybrown · 20/09/2007 11:32

Poking him in the eye is not unreasonable for that one. Charmer!!

Thursday is sitting on my arse making my baby laugh morning. All the others are at their institutions. Its lovely!

TALLULAHBELLE · 20/09/2007 11:35

Thought so - where can I get an extremely loooong poking device?

Sounds like a nice day Foxy. I have to take DD to the dentist for her first check up!!!!

foxybrown · 20/09/2007 11:42

Huh T??? Dentist?

Off to pick up DD, then to a friends for lunch.

Hope everyone is OK today!

Charlie999 · 20/09/2007 11:44

Do what Tallulah - a dental check-up? Sorry, what are they going to check?

daisyandbabybootoo · 20/09/2007 11:48

i have been on the phone all morning trying to sort passports out, and each person I speak to tells me something different.

We want DSs passport issued in my married surname, the surname of his father, who is on his birth certificate. Passport office say we need to change his name by deed poll at english registry office, english registry office say it needs to be done in scotland, scottish registry office say fill in form 23 take to any office and do it in person, office we phoined say its form RR1 and needs to be dne by post....aaaaaarrrrrgggggghhhhhh

DH primed with his coat on ready to dash to scotland to get the new birth certificate so that we can get DS passport in his dad's name.

daisyandbabybootoo · 20/09/2007 11:53

tooth decay mahoosively huge problem in Scotland so they like to get them in when they are young!

They give out toothbrush and 1000ppm fluoride toothpaste at primary school. We keep getting it from my sister as she is awash with the stuff....but still her DCs needed to have most of their baby teeth pulled out through rot .

DH has gone on mercy dash to first available Scottish registry office over the border (Hawick). It closes at 4:30, so wish him God speed!

TALLULAHBELLE · 20/09/2007 11:53

Nightmare Daisy.

Have been roped in to 'child smile' pilot scheme which does initial dental check @ 3 months. Not sure what will happen, prob more educational than medical.

TALLULAHBELLE · 20/09/2007 11:56

Yep idea is to combat the dreadful tooth decay that is rife in Glasgow. Am pretty sure that i will be spoken to like an idiot & instructed not to give DD irn bru in her bottle.

daisyandbabybootoo · 20/09/2007 12:01

LO at the irn bru in her bottle!

my sis thought it was ok to give her kids diet coke cos it had no sugar in and that no-added sugar squash was fine. No-one told her that the carbonation is just as bad and no added sugar doesn't mean no sugar.

My DNs were utterly amazed when they were visiting us that DS still has all of his baby teeth and were actually in his gob counting them at one point

Jamantha · 20/09/2007 12:04

Afternoon! Sorry for those having passport problems (or any other problems). We've decided just not to go abroad just yet, so no need to jump that hurdle just yet.

Stay and play was better today. Some of the mums spoke to us and without the musical instruments out it wasn't quite so noisy to frighten DD.

TALLULAHBELLE · 20/09/2007 12:35

good news J - these things take time.

Just got the post & have appt 9th Oct for DD's 2nd jags. The ones she's already had. She's due her 3rd set the week after. Am off to change our GP & HV. Am sick of incompetence & lack of concern. Is the last straw after being told last wk tp pack up b/f as am obviously no good at it & having pnd check yest that wasn't even looked at never mind discussed.

loonylovegood · 20/09/2007 12:40

Ewww, don't you just hate that horrid powdery bit you always get at the bottom of cup-a-soup? No matter how much you stir it is aways there! Yuk!
