My god! Just as I was steeling myself to go make it up with her, after she's been howling like a demented thing for 13 minutes solid (I don't think she even stopped to draw breath once), she went silent. I was just saying to DH via instant messenger that this leaving them to cry it out thing is bollocks as she just gets more and more het up as time goes on, but maybe it's not total bollocks, just very hard. i certainly wouldn't have left her this long at 3 weeks, like the HV and my mum were telling me to do though. I'll go and check in a couple of minutes that she is OK, and not gone silent for a bad reason and then I think I'll go enjoy myself for a little bit - by cleaning the utility room for example

TALLULAHBELLE · 19/09/2007 11:17

Did she fall asleep J ? Or was she just readying herself for another onslaught ? That's what my dd does.

Charlie999 · 19/09/2007 11:20

aw Jamantha - has she gone to sleep? My DD is on her third nap of the day but I don't care either! I'm knackered and that doesn't help!

Leaving them to scream for a while doesn't do them any harm...its times like this where I almost wished I still smoked.....I could really fancy a ciggie.....

Charlie999 · 19/09/2007 11:23

oh fuck...spoke too soon...crying again

trendaverter · 19/09/2007 11:32

AAAAAARRRRRRRRRRSSSSSSSSSSSEEEEEEEEEEE

TALLULAHBELLE · 19/09/2007 11:33

Whassup TA ?

Jamantha · 19/09/2007 11:35

What's up TA?

She was asleep. I got the utility room cleaned up, the floor swept and the dishwash half unloadede. Now she's awake and screaming again, but did have half hour nap, which is better than normal

daisyandbabybootoo · 19/09/2007 11:45

oooh a cig sounds good. I am even tempted by DHs cigars.

Jamanths, sorry you're having a hard time of it today. Can you get out for an hour this evening, even if it's just the coffee shop in Sainsbury's or for a swim. Big {{{{{hugs}}}}}

Just back from WW.....I lost 0.5lbs still, better than nothing or even putting on. Must try harder this week!

DD has her big brother's favourite bear and is telling him big big stories. I hope she doesn't get attached to it, he is definately not ready to give up his "boys" yet (he has about four that have to go to bed with him every night)

daisyandbabybootoo · 19/09/2007 11:46

SG said she lost 8lbs her first week of slimming world ....so that's something to aim at!

loonylovegood · 19/09/2007 11:49

Goodness! Is everyone ok? It all seems to have gone a bit tits up for everybody...{{hugs}} xxx

Can someone please tell me to stop being such a pussy and go and hang the washing up? There was a massive wasp buzzing round the washing line just now and now I'm too scared to go outside!

I wanna lose 8lbs! What a good advert for SW!

Jamantha · 19/09/2007 11:55

Go hang up thy washing, woman! Take a big cloth to shoo waspy away if needs be.

Not going out tonight, but have arranged to do so tomorrow.

Jamantha · 19/09/2007 11:56

And am going for a walk and some retail therapy with DD this pm

TALLULAHBELLE · 19/09/2007 11:57

Chase wasp around garden with wet nappy. You'll soon lose 8 lbs.

Charlie999 · 19/09/2007 11:58

Ohh don't do wasps....nah...stick it in the tumble dryer...that's what I've done ...anyway, too bloody cold here to hang anything out

loonylovegood · 19/09/2007 12:01

It's so cold here, I wish the wasps would hurry up and die. Surely they can't survive for much longer in this chilliness!

Daisy your pushchair has just been collected!

ROFL at image of holly chasing a wasp around the garden with a wet nappy

that you can hang things out..'tis shite and rainy here and v v cold and our central heating didn't work this morning!

I just got babyboo's Child Trust Fund voucher. I missed out on this with DD as he was born 3 months too soon . What is the best thing to do with it?

Holly, if you qualify for the maternity grant, do you get a £500 CTF voucher as well?

loonylovegood · 19/09/2007 12:04

Ooo, I don't know daisy, maybe. I've already got the £250, maybe they'll send me more. I forgot to do anything with it with dd, so after a year the govt put it in a fund for me! Oops! I have no idea what to do with it. 'Tis v confusing.

justbeme · 19/09/2007 12:05

Morning!
Oh sorry Tallulah re little lambs - who were you then?
Im Juliet 0395
No one else was bidding at the same time as me - I put my max as £36, but got them for £22!

Jamantha - I only get 3oz when expressing - takes about 10 mins and then my hand hurts!
Daisy am at you for getting 8oz!

and why does TA always leave us in suspence?!

riabutterflew · 19/09/2007 12:06

isn't it cruel to tumble dry wasps?

loonylovegood · 19/09/2007 12:06

I don't chase wasps, I run in the other direction! Spiders are fine, we have loads of massive ones in our house. I nearly cried the other day when I found one of them dead in the sink! They are our friends! Wasps, however, make my blood run cold!

Charlie999 · 19/09/2007 12:07

Daisy, we're just putting our voucher into a high interest savings account. Its in their name so you don't get any say in what they do with it at 18.

We've done our own investment for K (only a little bit each month) that's in our name, so if she turns into a juvanile deliquent or junkie or something, she can't blow everything that has been saved for her

Have a look at this

TALLULAHBELLE · 19/09/2007 12:07

Was wondering what to do with that Daisy. No idea about investing.

Holly - what is mat grant & how do u qualify?
