Hi All!

Are your children’s vaccines up to date?
gingeme · 27/09/2007 19:59

Rumpel dh does do he he Ed's feeds sometimes. In fact hes giving it to him now. Just was wondering if its worth trying him with a cup when he starts having cows milk and giving it to him when I read ds3's night time story. Put them both down at the same time. At the moment I read the story first in their bedroom then bring Edwrad into my room to give him his bottle. Guess I just answered my own question there didnt I
Think Ill join Rumpel for an early night. Its been quite a day.
Move over Rumpel and dont nick the duvet

Rumpel · 28/09/2007 16:09

Move over GINGE - you'll be lucky! DH has been on the floor for ages now as double bed just aint big enough for the both of us. I am a VERY restless sleeper. Not long until new bed arrives 6 weeks and counting

ive got a kidney infection, fed up on anti-b's

princessllama · 28/09/2007 18:55

poor you emilyandlola, have heard from my friend that kidney inf. is vvv painful. i'm sorry to hear about your separation, the first year with the lo's is so hard already.
rumpel, yup i'm the osteo. but am self employed for the charity i work for. so had no come back, and if i did it would look v bad threatening to sue a charity and it's a v small world in paediatric osteopathy so would be a disaster professionally.
typical, now that we have a tight deadline of end of feb for new arrival we are having our back of house taken apart and rebuilt. moving in with my dad for 3 months . still, looking forward to lots of free childcare in the evenings , fingers crossed. haven't heard from planning so getting anxious then suddenly they announce today it's all go and we might start on friday . obviously coincides with dh's hardest week of the year for work and poss even more severe hard work for some time as he works in politics and there might be an election. can you believe he was asked if he wanted a hotel room in westminster for the duration from start of election campaign til d day!!!! thank god he said no. it's going to be bad enough as it is.
sorry for moan
gingeme my all time expert, do we really need to wash all the baby clothes? i put them away clean in plastic bin liners. if so need to get cracking before we have to move out in case building work drags on.
babyducky kai is a cutie.
samsmam impressed with lo walking, lo can't quite let go of my little finger and if i take it away (cruel mummy) she falls on her bottom.
meanwhile the bump is growing steadily and kicking well now. forget about it most of the time-already neglected
i would love to meet up. the v and a would be fab.

gingeme · 28/09/2007 19:47

Princessllama washing the clothes again is entirely up to you love. Some of the stuff Ive got was given to me by a couple of friends. Not saying they are dirty or anything just I like to know what theyve been washed in iyswim?
Lo has a red raw bum tonight poor little love he realy didnt enjoy his bath which is usualy his favourite time of day.
ds3 goes for hi op tomm morning. Got to be at the hospital for 7.30am and hes first on the list. Gulp!
Well thats about it realy. Hope you all have a good weekend.
Take care

samsmam · 28/09/2007 21:01

PL- Are yo going to find out the colour of your baby? I haven't felt hardly any movements wonder if its because my placenta is in the wrong place?

Em- Hope you feel better soon

Rumpel- the maltesers do help a bit but they have a tough job.

Good luck to DS3 Gingeme- hope all goes well, I'm sure he'll be up and about in no time.

princessllama · 28/09/2007 22:31

good luck gingeme tomorrow. i still remember all the special attention i got when i had my adenoids out at his age!
samsmam not going to find out what it is as want suprise. this one isn't kicking half as much or as strong as the last one, or maybe i just don't notice

wuzzlefraggle · 29/09/2007 12:23

gingeme, I hope it went well today xox

Well ladies, I've just joined one of the weightloss threads. I just feel so crap about myself and this last week I've been feeling frumpy DH thinks its me being silly coz its period time right now, but I think I'll be happier with the diet and exercise anyway. Want to be down to an 8 if I can - ooh god, wish me luck, Im a 12 at the mo. so heres to about 2 stone lol. great

anyway, sorry about the gripe, just one of those weeks. Hope you are all well

Rumpel · 30/09/2007 10:26

Hi All,

GINGEME - hope ds3's operation went well and you and Dh are recovering from the emotional trauma of it all!

WUZZ - know what you mean. A size 8 that is about my right thigh Are you teeny? I give up re the weight thing-managed to lose 34lbs since dd was born but could still do with another stone off - no will power - I ADORE cake and chocolate. Only 2 weeks until TTC again!!!! So will just need to accept weight.

PRINCESS - Do you have to give up work in case it affects the baby? Still not sure why you need to stop. What will you do - you could get insurance and do private maybe?

I am going for acupuncture tomorrow night. Am thinking that if I get it regularly it might ward off the horrid nausea/puking thing I had for 5 months last time and will generally help with everything - mind/body/emotions.

I am nearly finished Amber's mural so will post a piccie once finished to let you all see. It is kind of a painting come decoupage as I have added butterflies and felt and pom poms for texture. I kept the flower decorations off of our wedding cake and have put them on her wall too. I am such a hoarder - always think everything will come in useful in the future.

Spent 5 hours in my garden yesterday - pruning back and moving things. A whole lot of plants are being transported to tthe Highlands in Oct to my Mum. Some very jaggy/thorny not child friendly things - so they have to go. Still all that hard work justified the korma and peanut M and Ms I scoffed!

Well must go - loads to do....

gingeme · 30/09/2007 21:16

Good evening ladies and thankyou for your kind wishes.
Ds3 was a real star yesterday. He was first to have his op which should have only taken about 40 mins but ended up taking an hour and a half. Apparantly his adenoids bled an awful lot
About 20 minutes after the op he was eating toast and drinking squash. He didnt sleep all day and kept the other kids on the ward entertained. Dh stayed with him last night and said ds slept quite well or atleast as well as you can sleep in hospital. Came home about 10am this morning and has been quite chirpy. Had a 3 hour sleep on Mummys bed this afternoon.
lo was briliant too considering he spent most of yesterday on the ward too, But they did have loads of toys and a realy nice fish tank which he was fascinated by.
Well thats about it realy. Oh and lo did another 3 steps on his own today.

wuzzlefraggle · 30/09/2007 21:56

ahh, glad that it went well gingeme!!!

Rumpel, what you mean teeny? lol I'm 5ft7 if you meant in height...im confused!

Anyway, I'm off to bed now, will post properly when I have a clear head tomorrow.

Night all

samsmam · 01/10/2007 07:53

Glad it went well Gingeme, children are so quick in recovering aren't they.

Weather is awful here today- meant to be going in to town to buy the rest of the stuff for Samantha's tea party on Sunday. Where has that year gone?

Rumpel- exciting stuff- 2 weeks until TTC. I still had a stone to lose before I was to get pregnant again! I am deterined that I will do it after this baby.

gingeme · 01/10/2007 12:50

Good afternoon ladies. Thankyou for asking after ds3. He had a pretty good night. Woke at 2 for some Calpol and a drink. Again at 6am for the same then slept till 8. Hes had breakfast this morning and a packet of iced gems and a couple of digestive biscuits and lots to drink

Happy Birthday to you - Happy Birthday to you - ADAM 1 today WHOOPEE!!!!!

WUZZ - size 8, 5'7" are you a model? Seems awfully thin. I am a curvacious (ahem) 5'8.5" (the half inch is important)
Size 14 - 16 - methinks I would look anorexic a size 8 - I have got unfeasably big bones though

SAMSMAM - how are you feeling these days?

GINGEME - glad DS3 is doing well now - how are the big boys?

EMILY - hope you are coping okay.

Had my first acupuncture last night - was very relaxing although I awoke about 2.30am this morning and couldn't get back to sleep. Ended up getting up at 4am for brekkie as I was starving by then. The therapist was very nice and he made a lot of sense. I am going every Monday for the next 3 weeks and then I will cut it down to once a fortnight.

Well need to go and do some Uni work - first assignment due in 2 weeks arggggg!!

Have a lovely 1st birthday Adam

Hi all thought I'd bump this up so it's easier to see whos next.

Thank you all for the happy birthdays. I think he had a good day, we spent alot of it with my Nan which was lovely.

We're not having a party but all the family are popping round throughout the day on Sat so we will be celebrating it properly then. I will say that after going to my nephews first birthday party on Sunday I'm glad we decided not to do it. Adam was stealing all the other babys toys and trying to kiss all the girls

I can't balieve my baby is 1! Where has the last year gone? It was such a strange feeling, I kept thinking this time last year...... It also brought up a lot of feelings about my Mum not being there and how much she would've loved it

Happy all the pg ladies are doing well, can't wait to start ttc again. Only 6 1/2 months.

Did anyone watch bringing up baby? Was screaming at the TV!

totallyfloaty35 · 03/10/2007 10:27

Happy birthday to the lo's cant believe our tinies are hitting 1 already, but then i have a dd of 12yrs and i look at her and wonder how she got so big seem to blink these days and your babies are the same height as you and wanting to go clubbing(kids disco) with their mates.
that babyshow, was horrid in the 1950's bit was shrieking at the tv"ignore the militant old witch and cuddle your baby" it made me so angry, surely that regime was used in the that regime was used in the Romanian orphanages to devastating effect

totallyfloaty35 · 03/10/2007 10:29

gingeme · 03/10/2007 15:28

Right ladies I hev been looking at my calender and can do a meet up from 11th to the 15th October. Can anyone else do any of these dates? Would be nice to have a birthday meet up and see how al our lo's have changed?
What you reckon?

taffy101 · 03/10/2007 21:07

not been on for ages, real life is too distracting!
Started back at work this week - is not as bad as i thought but am v. tired as it takes 2 hours to get me and 2 kids ready in the morning so v early start!

babyducky you have such a cutesie baby!

samsmam - i am certain your lack of baby movement is due to the placenta i had the same with dd, the placenta was at the front and was cushioning all the movement - i was v worried before my 20 wk scan as i hadn't felt anything at all, but as she got bigger she made her presence felt!

Little one is cruising well now, i must tell the childminder not to tell me if he takes his first steps whilst with her!!

Got mad party planned for halloween, dd's friends coming - at least they won't stay too late as its a school night. got pumpkin jelly moulds and spooky cookie cutters - am going to be too busy.
