Wuzz - was it not you that was concerned a while ago that Anna wasn't 'doing' as much as other peoples' LOs? ha ha - look at her go now!

kiansmum - you must be exhausted - i cannot envisage having another lo to look after atm!! I'm sure you must be delighted tho running on adrenalin i expect

samsmam - both my pgs were low lying placenta and both moved eventually. It is far too early to speculate. Do not worry just yet. With my last pg it was 2 weeks before due date when it was confirmed that i wouldn't need c-section. Put it out of your mind until the big day - long way off yet and c-section not end of the world.
I do hope you are feeling better in general - are you starting back at work soon?

Wuzzlefraggle - keep thinking of you as dd is watching reruns of fraggle rock on nick jr!

my lo is crawling (fast) and thinking about cruising. Went to get cruising shoes for him yesterday for playing outside and he is size 3F (aww!) but they had none that size in stock, so he is still in stocking feet.

kiansmum · 16/09/2007 22:10

Hi ladies,
Hope you're all ok.
Cor, it's hard work having 4 children!!!
Chelsea is good as gold but Kai is into everything atm.
I'm breastfeeding Chelsea and hope to continue for a bit longer but whilst i'm doing that Kai usually finds something to do that he shouldn't so have to put him in his walker which he doesn't like and have to listen to him whinge whilst breastfeeding.
I feel really guilty towards Chelsea as i had all the time in the world to spend with Kai cos Lauren and Kian are older but i don't feel i can spend time with Chelsea as Kai still needs me so much.
Kais teeth are also coming through so he's been whingy and miserable for the last 3 days, bless him, and hasn't been sleeping.
I've been told it gets easier, i hope so!!!

Anyway, enough of me going on. How're all you pg ladies? Hope all's going well.

1st birthdays approaching fast for our LOs. Where's this year gone? How're all the party plans going and what pressies are you getting for your LOs? I need some ideas.

kiansmum · 16/09/2007 22:25

I've just managed to download some piccies for you to have a look at on my profile.

samsmam · 17/09/2007 09:09

Beautiful pictures Kiansmum. Have you got any of all four children together yet?

Taffy- did you have completely covering cervix. Apparently mine is overlaying os at moment?
Not back at work yet, I do need to get there but at the moment emotionally it is a bit difficult. I'll sort myself out in the end.

Rumpel- I have that malteser thing going on again- perhaps another girl!

babyducky · 17/09/2007 10:19

hi all,

hope everyones ok.

afternoon

gingeme: ds1 sort of getting used to school- he went through this in nursery too - loved the first few days, then didn't like it once reailty hit that 'this was it'. Was better this morning so shall see what kind of day he had.

had to take ds2 up to hospital on Saturday (gp out of hours, not A&E), he was getting all these funny marks - first ones on left arm and leg, then one appeared on right arm, then the left side started to clear up, and by the time we got to the hospital (after ringing nhs direct and seeing local pharmasist) his right leg had developed too - allergic reaction I was told - all very strange and hopefully it won't happen again, so we won't have to figure out what he was allergic too. In himself he was as bonnie as always, so we weren't worried - also being a second child probably helped too!

still amazed that some of you are studing and moving houses, having babies already!! I can just about make it to the office! and I had better get back on with some work....

wuzzlefraggle · 17/09/2007 16:22

ahhh, lovely pics kiansmum!

Taffy, oll @ fraggle rock. I used to love that as a kid. I have bought Anna a dvd of fraggle rock (not that she is remotly interested in TV yet)..honestly...its not like its for me!!

hope you are all well. I'm tired out! work and a baby is hard work!

taffy101 · 17/09/2007 21:12

samsmam - neither placentas were completely covering the cervix, but the last one was very near, even at 38 weeks, they only knew it wasn't in the way cos babe's head was engaged. Relax, it has 24 weeks to reposition. Just be thankful for technology - in olden days this was a BIG problem as the first anyone knew about it was during birth when usually too late.

kiansmum - so sweeeeeeeeeeeet pics, aww. I can understand how stressful it must be trying to feed chelsea while kai wants your attention. my lo keeps pulling himself up on my legs ALL the time whenever I try and do anything that doesn't involve him!

catgirl - my dd had some sort of allergy around easter time and was covered in spots. Never figured that out either (might have been extreme chocolate consumption), but she got over it ok.

planning halloween party for lo (actual birthday is 31st). Need to get pumpkin lights and need ideas for spooky food (for 4 year olds - dds friends) suggestions welcome!!

babyducky · 17/09/2007 21:57

halloween party will be good taffy, I'm gonna do that for Kai when he's bit older. His birthday 3rd nov so only few days out! I really wanted him to be born on halloween! Its my sis birthday 31st & dps sis!

We used to have really cool fancy dress parties on her birthday when we were younger, I was so jealous that my birthday wasn't then!!!

Not sure about food, my mum used to make cakes with green food colouring & jam in the middle which was "blood"

gingeme · 18/09/2007 22:20

Good evening ladies. Samsam how are you?
Beautiful pics kaismum
We had a busy few days at my parents. Lo had a great time harrassing my Mums poor cat and eating all the pebbles on the beach and shouting at the seagulls. H e has a new trick of standing in between your legs facing away from you and holding on to your fingers shouting till you get up and walk him around.
Got the pre assessment for ds3's op tommorrow afternoon. Trouble is he has a horrible cold. I just hope they dont put his op back because of it
Beans fine as far as I know. Moving around like a gymnast. Caught sight of myself in my Mums full length mirror and I seem to be carrying vry low this time.
Well Im off to bed now.
Take care xxx

wuzzlefraggle · 19/09/2007 16:50

Hi all

I'm a little down in the dumps today. My job has gone down the pan they no longer need an Online Customer Care assistant which I'm gutted about. I'd only been working there a week and a half and I was enjoying the work. Being able to work from home at a legit job with a guaranteed wage was perfect.

So now I am on the hunt for another home based job, grrrr,

babyducky · 19/09/2007 19:49

oh no, poor u wuzz, hope your ok
& hope u find something else.

I'm looking for something to do at home aswell, hard though to find something decent isn't it.

hope everyone1 else ok,

booked my wedding car today!
if i ever work out how to do links I will show u all!

taffy101 · 19/09/2007 20:41

Aww wuzzle i had been feeling rather envious of you working from home. Badluck, hopefully you can find something else to do at home.

babyducky, sounds like your wedding plans are going well.
I like the idea of green cakes (for halloween not your wedding!) Gonna go on ebay to look for halloween stuff now - outfits and decorations etc

ginge - your ds sounds like mine, he keeps grabbing my legs so i have no choice but to pick him up or he'll fall over if i move!!

catgirl · 19/09/2007 21:11

wuzzlefraggle - sorry to hear your job news - was going to ask what you did that meant you could work from home - hope you can find something soon.

Taffy: how about worms in jelly?? shops will be full of halloween treats soon - if they aren't already.

you lot have made me think about what to get ds2 for his 1st birthday - sorted out my parents gift to him: a push along walker, as he tends to do that with the kitchen stool anyway - but it is a hard floor, so walker on living room carpet will be better I hope! think we are going to get him one of those rugs that has 'street plan' on it - you know for playing wtih cars etc. Never did get one for ds1, so a present they can both enjoy!

DS1 has been ok in school this week, 'no crying unless I fall over'.... so that is ok - until half term I am told, then you start all over again!

babyducky - when are you getting married - sorry must have missed the date - so hard to keep up to date on this thread - or is it me?!

night all, wishing you all peaceful nights!

wuzzlefraggle · 20/09/2007 10:39

thanks girls I'll be ok, I'm just a little gutted. But I have already applied for another 8 jobs so, it's playing the waiting game again. The job I was doing was online customer help via email and live chat. But you could apply for typing/audio typing etc. It's avoiding all the scammers thats the hard part.

ooh 1st birthdays!! hehe, I cant wait.

gingeme · 20/09/2007 11:05

Morning ladies. Keep your chin up wuzzle something will come your way real soon.
Went for a meet up with some ladies from my January thread last night. Had yummy pizza express again
Lo took a step today well he walked very carefully to the end of the sofa and then took one step and promptly plopped to the floor.
Ds3 had his pre op assessment yesterday. Lovley people in the hospital. In fact they were so nice ds3 didnt want to come home. His op is Saturday 29th. We have to be there at 7.30 am and his op should be about 9.30am.
Catgirl glad your ds1 is setteling in nursery now. ds3 starts on the 26th but has to have 2 weeks off after his op. Ive bought him his plimsoles and new trainers. He has to have some wellies too but well get them when he goes back.
Well were off to Asda now to look at Halloween outfits.
Have a good day all xx

princessllama · 20/09/2007 12:44

hi all
wuzz sorry about job. i get the boot next monday because of the pg-. has been great being at work having a bit of time for me.
ginge thats great that you've got the date for the op, v. soon. sad he'll miss 2 weeks at nursery though. best age though i suppose, i had my tonsils out at 15 finally-and i missed half a term of school missed loads and loads of stuff for gcses.
babyducky trampoline sounds a good idea. i am being a selfish mummy and buying myself some new mat. clothes instead of present for lo as i think she'll get loads of presents from everyone else and after a whole year of looking after her i'm giving myself a treat.
rumpel how's uni. my hormones are a bit better now that dd has slept through on a few occasions-less sobbing about not coping and less screaming at dh-a bit anyway...
bossy woman told me yesterday lo isn't sleeping at night because she's too tired and doesn't sleep enough in day-what do the rest of you think?

catgirl · 21/09/2007 08:55

just a quick one before I start work about the sleeping qusetion - I have found with both of mine that if they nap well during the day, they do tend to sleep better at night - but sometimes getting them to nap well meant/means walking them round in the buggy, rather than putting them to bed and me sitting with tea and chocs! Or a bus journey is good - you get to sit down then!
But we have no routine as such - ds2 now naps in the morning, and again after lunch (that can range from 30 mins to 1hr 30 mins) - hope that helps. But bear in mind that the above is about my children and worked for us!

purpleflower · 21/09/2007 09:05

Hi all haven't been on in ages, I can't believe DS will be 1 in less than 2 weeks! We aren't buying him a present as we have no money and he will not remember anyway, I'm going to make him a card to keep in his memory box.

He is now walking all the time as he has decided he hates crawling. It is so funny because he can't stop himself properly yet and just goes splat on the floor and laughs

Am very very jelous of those pregnant or with another already. We decided to wait so have booked our wedding for April so we can start trying straight after.

It's brilliant to be able to read about all the different things our LOs are doing, makes me feel a bit better. My nephew is 3 days older than DS and they are compared alot although they are so so different.

gingeme · 21/09/2007 09:13

Hi catgirl and purpleflower. Glad your ok and your lo's are doing well too.
Catgirl my boys dont have a nap routine realy. I ll have to change it again next week when ds3 starts nursery. Hopefully hell be knackered and have an afternoon nap as well as lo
The special card sounds perfect purpleflower. What a good idea. I dont think well buy lo a gift as hell probably get loads form all his guests. Wrote his invites out last night. 11 children invited so far.
Lo is still crawling everywhere but when being led he holds on with just one hand now.
Well off to playgroup now to tire them out a bit.
Have a good day all. xx

babyducky · 21/09/2007 10:21

hi all,

catgirl- we are getting married 14th june!!

welcome back purpleflower! Glad your lo is ok, thats a lovely idea about the card, what date is your wedding?
We are gonna start trying for number 2 straight after our wedding aswell. Cant wait!!!

princess- I've found Kai sleeps better at night if he has 2 good naps in the day, guess they are all different though aren't they?! His routine is completely out the window lately anyway, ends up in our bed most nights where he is teething at the mo.

gingeme- glad you have got a date for ds3's op, hope all goes well.

xxx

wuzzlefraggle · 21/09/2007 11:23

babyducky, snap re the baby's sleeping habits!

Anna is in our bed most nights too and deff sleeps better during the night if she has 2 good naps during the day. lol.

Well girls, I'm off out tonight. Going to the Bristol Hippodrome to see a show called Vampires Rock. Eddie Ojeda (guitarist from Twisted Sister!!!!) is gonna be playing and I cant wait! I'm not dressing up in the full basque set up, but am going to be wearing a black corset with me black trousers with pink earings, necklace and bracelet. hehe, i cant wait!!

This will be the first proper night out I've had since the baby was born!! It's for my sister in laws birthday

wuzzlefraggle · 21/09/2007 11:31

cant believe I forgot to add this...Anna has a nasty fall last night and bruised just under her eye Have any of your LO's had nasty falls? She is ok today, just the bruising is there. It looks like a mini black eye

gingeme · 21/09/2007 12:44

Wow wuzzle sounds very sexy. Hope you have a great time.
I remember ds1 had two massive falls in one day and he was seeing the hv the next day for his 8 month check up. The first was he fell out of his buggy. I never used to strap him in as he was a lazy baby which resulted in a big egg bump on his forehead. Then my Dad put him on his shoulders and he banged his head on a sign and another egg size bump. I got some dirty looks at the hv clinic.
Thankyou babyducky. ds3 asks every day now if hes going to hospital today? I think hes a bit excited
