Hi everyone,
It's great to see the new thread. It was getting abit crowded on the other one!
Yippee, we all survived the summer hols!
Hope you're all ok.

I went to see the MW this am and found out my DD is OP at the mo so have been told to spend as much of the next 3 weeks on all fours to try and turn her round!!!
How're all the other PG ladies getting on?

I've bought alot of bits and pieces for Kais 1st birthday already as it'll be manic when the babe arrives. Yesterday i got a highchair decoration kit with I AM 1 on it, it's a really good idea.
Has everyone else started planning parties etc?

babyducky · 05/09/2007 17:24

kiansmum · 05/09/2007 17:39

Hi Babyducky,
I got the highchair thing from a shop in Yeovil called Birthdays. Don't know if you've got one near you?

My Kai had the same problem with his teeth a couple of weeks ago, thankfully it only lasted a couple of days so don't worry there is light at the end of the tunnel!

Hope you have a nice meal with your sis. What are you having?

gingeme · 05/09/2007 18:23

Rumpel you never cease to amaze me.
We are going to make a birthday card for lo and send it off to CBeebies and hope they show it on his birthday. We were looking at cakes today too in Tesco. Might get one where you put their picture on it. Havnt decided on presants yet though.
Well done babyducky on starting your Christmas shopping. I dont blame you realy.
Sorry you cant come on the 19th samsam. We will deffo have to have a meet up in October providing my dh's and ds's ops arent too close to the date.
We went to Ikea today and got the finishing touches to our newly painted bathroom. We bought a blind for just £9! A loo roll holder and hand towel ring that actualy match.
We bought ds3 a fleece throw for his bed too and we saw a brill cot there whixh was £29 with mattress. We are going to get it for bean as ds4 will still be in his cot bed for a while yet.
Lo is so desperate to get walking. He holds onto our hands to be walked round and gets very cross when we sit him down. Doesnt do my back a whole load of good.

babyducky · 05/09/2007 20:08

kiansmum-yeah there is a birthdays near me, i will have a look!

yeah had a lovely meal thanks, went to this really nice little italian place, had cheesecake & loads of wine though & meant to be on my diet, oops!

Have you been wedding dress shopping yet!?
I'm goin next week,

gingeme- i love ikea! £29 for a cot & mattress!!!!
we are gonna get one of them photo cakes aswell. I had one for my birthday!

EffiePerine · 06/09/2007 09:36

Gingeme: sorry but don't think I can make the meet-up on the 19th. We must try for a meet-up around October for birthdays.

I'm planning to make a treasure basket for DS with the help of my mum (there's a thread on here somewhere about it - searhc under heuristic play). Basically a basket full of everyday items of different materials and textures for him to explore. A revolt against the pile of plastic beepy things we are amassing atm! So I'll be hunting junk shops for stuff, as well as trying to get creative with buttons. Wish me luck

kiansmum · 06/09/2007 16:38

Hi Ladies,

Glad you enjoyed your meal Babyducky, sounds lovely.
I'm really pleased you've got a birthdays near you, i hope you can get hold of one. They're only £2.49 and they have a little plastic mat that goes under the highchair with babys 1st birthday written on it and flags that go round the tray on the highchair. They're really sweet.
I haven't started looking for a wedding dress yet as so heavily pg at the mo can't possibly try any on!!! I'm gonna try and lose some weight after Chelsea's born and start looking after christmas. You'll have to let me know how you get on with your dress hunting next week.

Gingeme, That's really creative of you to make a card to send in to CBeebies. I've always thought how good the cards are that get shown. If i made one it wouldn't get shown it would get thrown away!!!!

Effieperine,
Your treasure basket sounds like a cool idea. LO will love it. Good luck with making it.

gingeme · 06/09/2007 20:22

Oh thats ashame EffiePerrin.
Definately do a meet up in October.

babyducky · 06/09/2007 20:55

kiansmum- sorry i wasn't thinkin when i asked you that, doh!
Have a look on ebay though when you do start looking, I've seen loads of bits on there, a lot cheaper than in the shops. Lots of nice tiaras aswell.

I'm going shopping tomorrow so will have a look for one of them highchair things!

We entered kai into this 'baby of the year' competition in our local paper a few weeks ago, think it comes out tomorrow, will try do a link to it when its out so you can all vote for him!!!

hope everyones ok, x

kiansmum · 06/09/2007 21:49

Babyducky,You've gotta do a link for me to vote for Kai when the paper comes out. He's bound to win it. From the photos of him in his Chelsea kit that i saw the other day i'd say he's absolutely gorgeous.No-one else stands a chance.

I've seen a few dresses on Ebay that i like so will continue looking and hoping that i can lose the baby weight!!

babyducky · 07/09/2007 15:38

thanks kiansmum it wasn't in the paper today, should be next week.

Went shopping earlier, trying to find an outfit for the christening, got a pink dress but i will prob end up taking it back, unless i lose a bit more weight by then!
Got dp a new shirt to wear.

they didn't have the highchair thing in birthdays!

hope everyone has a nice weekend.

Not alot else to report realy.
How are you all? Ho are the other pregnant ladies doing?
Well off to bed. Night all xxx

Rumpel · 09/09/2007 11:58

Hi everyone,

Hope you are all in fine fettle just now.
I am busy busy as usual - not enough hours in the day. Started decorating Amber's room today. I bought watercolours so I am painting a big tree and flowers, bushes etc and fairies. I have little butterflies to stick on and glittery things and am buying her a little fairie door for the tree. Got some beautiful transfers form ebay so I bought pink material yesterday to add to her curtains for the transfers. Just need a couple more days in the week and I will have time to do everything!

We went swimming again on Friday and she just loves it - so funny to watch her eyes go huge with excitement.

Bought a new buggy - a petite star zia. I have a mini cooper and it fits into the boot without having to put a back seat down - it's fab. Good to handle too. I've got a Quinny Buzz which is great but not so good for when Amber and I are just out shopping or wandering.

I've also been out in the garden with some plant books as I have no idea what the people in the house planted in the garden - have managed to identify most of them but still a few to go. I am going to whip out most of the things, which is a bit like sacrilage, but I'll take them up to my Mum's in October for her garden.

How are all the wedding preps going? Amd you PG ladies- are you all keeping well and blooming now?

Oh, I also got all my hair chopped off yesterday. it was halfway down my back - has been for years, but it is very thick and heavy (I had layers put in it last year) but it was doing my head in - too hot too annoying. So I got it all whacked off! I now have a boring chin length bob . I feel as though I have lost a stone. Although DH is not too pleased - do all your Dp's like long hair on women too?

majormoo · 09/09/2007 17:35

hello everyone.
Rumpel the room sounds lovely. very brave on the new haircut. Hope you like it.

Gingeme-congrats on having another boy. Cannot remember if I posted that already as half the time by the time I have read what is going on I do not get time to post.

DD starts school tomorrow. I am more nervous than her! They have to take a shoe box full of stuff that is special in with them. DD has decorated hers with feathers and stickers so I think I am going to look like a competitive mum of the first day!

Ds's christening is next Sunday. He is dribbling for England at the moment so hope it stops a bit by then.

Hope all the pregnant people are blooming. Any more announcements yet?

gingeme · 09/09/2007 20:47

Oh Rumpel sounds beautiful of you being able to decorate it so girly
Thankyou majormoo. I was giving lo his bottle just before bed as usual with his triangle pillow on my lap and could feel bean kickignaway in there as if to say'hey whats going on out there? Your squashing me!'. Fast running out of lap now
We went to Epping Forest this afternoon and sat lo on the floor in the woods hwere he proceeded to eat half the foilage.Hate to thing whats going to be in his nappy tommorrow morning.
Rumpel you have to be so careful with your plants with lo one too just in case she gets a taste for them.
Were probably going swimming tomm while I can still fit in my costume.

EffiePerine · 10/09/2007 19:47

Glad I'm not the only one experiencing the first tantrums!

That room sounds fab, Rumpel. V envious at your artistic streak. I would make a right mess of it. Have had hair chopped as well, but DH likes it and so do I! I only get round to having my hair cut every 3 or 4 months so I like to get my money's worth

DS coldy, teething and v v shouty atm. He's worn our cm out today, DH's turn tomorrow and then mine!

Rumpel · 11/09/2007 15:30

Hi All,

Nice to hear form you again Youngmum - wondered what had happend to you.

Back at Uni tomorrow oo er - feel very inadequately prepared! Wasn't supposed to be back until next week but they have changed it AGAIN. I might have to repeat a unit which is a right pain in the jacksie. I specifically asked bwfore I took a leave of abscence last year to have Amber if it owuld be okay to take this particular (it comes in 2 parts) and was told yes. So I will be very if they now say no - especially as I will have to pay to repeat it!

Effie - Your lucky your DP like your hair. Mine had never known me with shorter hair - I look weird to me never mind him!

I don't have straightners either and now that I have washed it is has gone mad!!! Remember Swing out Sister anyone? It is like hers now

How are all the beans cooking? Anymore scans imminent?

Still only 2 bottom teeth here but she did walk about 7 steps today - yeah! I was holding her hands and she just walked - amazing

Well need to go - am off to Uni tonight to bag all the books I need before anyone else starts! It is great living only 5 mins away - used to take me 11/2 hoyrs to get there.

I have booked an acupuncture treatment for 1st October in preparation of TTC again! Still a fat cow though (sad) weight loss has come to a standstill - my willpower is pants!!!!

Hi Everyone,
Hope you're all ok.
You won't believe what happened. Last night my waters broke(3 weeks early!)
and this morning at 6.51am Chelsea Alana was born weighing 6lb 5ozs.
I'm so glad she's here but still can't quite believe it as i wasn't expecting her for another 3 weeks.
So glad it's all over with.
Who's next!!!???
