Hi All!

OP posts:
Are your children’s vaccines up to date?
samsmam · 17/01/2008 21:39

Just laughing to myself about the thread title perhaps we should change it- by the time we finish this thread the LO's will be countdown to 2!

gingeme · 18/01/2008 22:45

Evening ladies. Princess Edward is great with George. Doesnt realy take much notice of him unless he cries. He has poked him in the eye once and he thinks his ears are funny for some unknown reason.
I try to watch it majormoo. Notmuch chance these days with two lo's calling for attention.
Thats one of the perks of having a three year old around the place when your pg they can pick bits up for you

babyducky · 20/01/2008 20:06

evening,

Yeah Kai is fine now thanks, still waiting for an appointment with the dermatologist, his face is a lot better at the mo.

He's been eating so much lately, cant believe it, must be having a growth spurt!

We have had to put the wedding back to next year, Ive changed my mind on just about every little detail, We are now having it at church instead of register office, & having the reception at a nice hotel instead of a pub which it was going to be, also now having 4 paigeboys(instead of 1) & 2 ushers.
We are also having a honeymoon now aswell, & a choc fountain
So we've had to change date so we can afford it all!

That means waiting till next summer to ttc again though.

Thats good news about your dps new job samsmam,

shall we start a new thread then?
Wheres rumpel???!!!

EffiePerine · 21/01/2008 13:40

Thought I'd log on to get the news and WOW!!!! Congratulations Gingeme! Sorry you didn't get your water birth but well done on what sounds like a quick and straightforward delivery. Your pics are so cute - am tamping down the broody vibes until we finally move house, but am getting tempted . How is the feeding going?

Princess and Samsmam: are you both due in Feb/Marach? Hope you're getting on OK. Rumpel: grrr at pg sickness. Glad the scan went well.

Not much news here, DS is teething AGAIN, think it's the second lot of canines. After this, only back molars to go. We also cracked and tried CC to get him to sleep and it seems to have worked . He's waking once or twice a night now (briefly) and getting to sleep at a reasonable hour, so we're all feeling much happier .

gingeme · 22/01/2008 22:03

Hi EffiPerrin. George is feeding realy well thanks. Funny Edward keeps poking my boobs when Im feeding and laughing.
We went to a kids Saturday and they had a small stage at the end of the hall and just as I was feeding George Edwrad fell off the stage straight on his head and I just felt sick because I couldnt get to him in time. One of the Mums tried to put an ice pack on the bump but he was screaming and realy fighting her. I got over to him and sort of put it on but once hed stopped screaming he was running around with all the other kids laughing
Dh is going back to work on earlies tomm. My neighbour is taking ds4 to nursery in the morning for me bless her.
Cant believe all your lo's are getting molars already though Edward is dribbling like mad again and has a sore bum so I think he has more teeth on the way.
Well its late so Im off to bed now.
Let me know when a new thread has started.
Take care all xxxx

taffy101 · 23/01/2008 20:44

I would start a new thread but I can't think of a catchy title!

Owen teething and dribbling everywhere atm. He seems to be getting molars before he's finished getting incisors! No matter, he got an outer incisor before his front ones and looked really odd for a time!
He also has strange rash on hands and knees he doesn't seem ill though, but think that means a trip to the drs tomorrow

Babyducky - so you have decided to change one or two details for your wedding! I suppose if a jobs worth doing, its worth doing properly! Can't wait for the montage though!
Glad Kai is doing ok now.

Ginge - must be tough with the 3 boys now - soon you will be multi-tasking queen.

DH been to london today for that police march, left at 4am - he's still not back! Hope he's not been arrested teehee!

Must go now and sort out lunches for tomorrow - yawn, what an interesting life I lead.

catgirl · 24/01/2008 14:16

hello - long time no post, have quickly scanned thread, have probably missed loads, but - congrats GINGEME - wow - impressive - you stopping now or one more d'you think?

Princessllama - you still at your dad's?

Have lost track of who is having another one (you mad lot !) - hope time is passing quickly for you all!

Bryn is fine and dandy - 9 teeth - top and bottom 4 and then a gap a 1 molar! He rarely lets me look at see if anything else is coming through - seems to be constant teething though. He is a real climber and loves paint - painted his head black the other day! am going to sort out 'tatty' clothes for Monday-Thurs as that is when he is near paint! Fridays he can wear his nice coat!

I am hoping to sort out working 3 days a week - currently doing 5 - so by Easter I hope - anyone in east London fancy meeting up?? (Effiperine - are you who I think you are?? if you are around on a Weds/Thurs....)

anyway, work has been manic recently, as has home... we were all pretty ill for about 2 months before xmas - one after another including childminder, so had a lot of time off. hope to have more mumsnet time now!

RUMPEL · 24/01/2008 17:19

Hi All,

Just a quickie to say hello.

Amber and I have been up at my parents' for a week as my Dad was having a double cataract op. I thought I should make the effort just now as I am back at Uni soon and feel rotten when pg so travelling that far when bigger is a no no.

Amber WALKED preen - at last My Dad was just home form hospital and she walked form him to Mum and has nver stopped since. It was lovely for my parents and Grandma to see. We came home yesterday and they are having withdrawals form her.

Still feeling a bit nauseous but not nearly as bad. I am positive this one's a blue but we aren't finding out - I like a surprise.

I passed my dissertation - whoopee! Only 2 untis to do this semster and I'#ll be finished - at last. I soo cannot be bothered with it - it's been rumbling on since 2005!!

PRINCESS - sending your builders kick up the bum vibes - must be horrid to feel so unsettled when you are fit for popping

SAMSMAM - Yep I am defo stopping at 2 - I detest being pg. I am actually looking forward to labour (in July though) as it means baby will be here and not in there!

Have only put on 1lb so far - am 15 weeks now - I am amazed as with Amber and my first pp I piled it on straight away.

BABYDUCKY - hope your Kai is keeping out of bother

GINGEME - haven't looked at George yet - will when I get a bit more time. Wanted to ask if you were an English royalist? Are your other boys called Harold, Charles and James

Must go as A is whinging!!!

Take care all - nice to hear form Catgirl.xxx

gingeme · 24/01/2008 18:42

Wow catgirl nice to hear things are going well . I dont think I know anyone who wasn't ill over Christmas.Deffo no more babys. Our family is complete now. Besides DH has had his snip so thats put a stop to it all.
Llo Rumpel no we are not royalists just like good old fashion names. None of these poncey rock star names here
Certainly feeling the strain of having three under four today. Have been telling ds3 and 4 off a bit more. Im normaly more tolarent but its getting to me now.
Oh well I will do these silly things eh ?

princessllama · 24/01/2008 19:30

cor gingeme, you're doing brilliantly. i am having huge probs snapping at Hope as she is still scratching my face when she gets cross. help! what should i do? nothing seems to have an impact but maybe because i don't stick to one plan-tried putting her down, saying ow you hurt me, shouting at her in cross voice, firm voice-grrr. really really winding me up, especially as she's managed to cut my lip twice in last 2 days-at least have cut her nails extra short so not as bad as was. feel embarrassed at shame of it.
on a bright note-yes am still at dad's but WE MOVE BACK NEXT FRIDAY . and i haven't had to burst into tears to achieve the result. don't care if they don't actually finish on thursday, we are still moving in. have booked mil to come down and dh taking day off work. and cot being delivered so can nest phew! am bit worried about the filth of the place though, they have promised to have industrial cleaners come but oh my god if they don't turn up we'll be living in a sh** hole.
fantastic that amber walked rumpel, especially whilst your parents were around. i think it makes life alot easier too-less filth on them at the end of the day!
catgirl we were all ill before during and after xmas-incl. childminder and grandpa. most of us had the vom bug and the flu bug-unholy!
effiep. well done on the cc. glad you're getting a bit more sleep.
taffy good on your dh. hope he got home safe.
am going to go and wallow in the bath now.

babyducky · 24/01/2008 22:17

evening all,

pl- We are having the same trouble with kai, He either scratches or slaps! He has cut my eye & lip! Have also tried EVERYTHING, its driving me mad, he does it whenever someone is holding him, I just put him down & ignore him when he does it to me, Its very annoying though, can tell people think "what a brat!" when we're out. Dunno what to do, HELP!!!!

Hope everyone is , x

catgirl · 25/01/2008 11:14

ds2 still occasionally bites me - usually on the shoulder - doesn't do it to dh. Slaps me less often - firm 'no' and put him on the floor- sometimes he cries, sometimes he just gets on with something else. Have noticed that the biting usually means he needs food!

Rumple - v impressed you are doing uni, with toddler and pg!

princessllama - when are you due?

DS2 had jabs yesterday - did not react well at all to them, sick all over me last night, v hot, clingy, bad night sleep - have to confess to forgetting what a bad night was, now I remember! am knackered! These are his 12 months jabs, delayed, due to measles outbreak locally, so mmr was done first. He was fine and dandy this morning, so off to the childminder with him!

majormoo · 25/01/2008 14:39

we're having a smacking problem with DS. He seems to think it is funny when I tell him off. Sounds like it is an age thing and hopefully they will all grow out of it soon.

DS has his MMR on Monday and have to confess I am a bit nervous about it. Woke up this morning thinking about all those autism studies. DD has had both her MMR and the school booster and she was fine, but still..

hope all OK

taffy101 · 25/01/2008 19:31
