babyducky · 11/09/2007 21:39

wow kiansmum! What a surprise!
Hows she doing?

CONGRATULATIONS!!!

good luck for tomorrow rumpel, hope you dont have to repeat.

youngmum- Kai has started having big tantrums aswell! He has also started headbutting everyone!

He can say mum, dad, bubba, bum, nanna & we think he is trying to say kai, he keeps saying 'ka ka ka'

He has taken 2 steps a few weeks ago but nothing since then, he can stand up by himself for ages though, he just doesn't move!

How is everyone else doin?

gingeme · 11/09/2007 21:46

Oh my God Kiansmum BIG CONGRATULATIONS to you and your family. What a lovely suprise. She was obviously getting fed up in there wondering what she was missing out on
Well done xxxx

Rumpel good luck with your studies. I have great admiration for anyone in further education. I hated doing it at school let alone now Im an adult. Though if and when I start studying to be a Doula I suppose Ill have to get my head a round it.

I have always had short hair so when I hace a mad few months and decide to grow it thats when I look weird

samsam how are you doing? Hows your pregnancy going? Pop in and let us know

totallyfloaty35 · 12/09/2007 09:56

Congrats to you kians am thrilled for you.
I have moved house so not been on much,no broadband and up to my eyes in boxes.
Lexie can say mum mum and dada and num num (our word for dummy) she can stand alone and claps and points, she took ages to crawl and then stood in the same week.We have been invited to a first birthday party on saturday,i cant believe they are almost 1,where did the time go????????? and im amazed that some of you have done it again already!!!!!!!!!!!
The room sounds very pretty rumpel.

samsmam · 12/09/2007 10:04

I'm here- popping in! Lol.

Big Congrats Kiansmum. Big surprise! Glad everything is ok.

I was supposed to be going back to work on Monday but it has nw been decided that I am probably suffering from postnatal depression again.
So it has been postponed by a week or two.

I am ok had a sickness bug on Monday couldn't even look after LO don't know how you are supposed to be ill and look after children!
Got my first antenatal appointment at the hospital tomorrow. Sure that won't be that exciting just blood tests!!

Rumpel- you sound very artistic- very exciting the TTC bit!

Off to the eye specialist with LO today- at last. We shall see what happens.

totallyfloaty35 · 12/09/2007 10:20

im trying to post some pics but not having any luck

totallyfloaty35 · 12/09/2007 10:21

wow it finally worked

gingeme · 12/09/2007 10:23

Glad your ok of sorts samsam. Great fun all the anti natal check ups arent they? Not!
Does everyone elses lo's put EVERYTHING in their mouth? Just got a piece of tissue box out of Edwards mouth. If it isn't paper its a toy or a tele control or his brother!
He is saying 'da da' at last now and I think he says Edard now too
I had a phone call from the hospital today. Ds3 has got his tonsilectamy on the 29th Sept didnt expect it till October time. Still it will be done and out the way before lo's birthday.
Still trying to get lo to clap but he just holds on to my hands and claps with me. He does wave bye bye though which I find very endearing.
Were off to swimming later. Just hope I can squeeze in to my costume
Have a good day all x

babyducky · 12/09/2007 11:01

I couldn't remember who it was!

hope your ok samsmam, xxx
& hope all goes well with the eye specialist.

gingeme- kai cant clap yet either, but waves bye bye to dp when he goes to work, its so sweet, & he opens his mouth for a kiss before he leaves aswell!

taffy101 · 12/09/2007 21:00

CONGRATULATIONS KIANSMUM!!!

Babyducky how did you see floaty's pics, i couldn't find them - looked on profile but still no luck, so i looked at gingeme's profile and her pics are cute!!

Hello youngmum!

Going back to work 1 Oct, have finally found a nice childminder and she can also take dd in school hols which is convenient. Not looking forward to work, rang up to book time off next easter (cheeky i know), and everyone in the office was shouting 'don't come back, the new boss is a complete bitch', so that hasn't encouraged me really. Oh well, lets wait and see!

Catgirl - does your ds enjoy school? dd is loving it thank goodness. It is not wearing her out as much as I had anticipated though

kiansmum · 12/09/2007 21:20

Hi Ladies,
Thank you all for your congrats.
Hope you're all ok.
I still can't believe she's here and i'm a mum of 4!!!
Hope all you ladies that are pg are ok and everythings going well.

Last night was a fun night, NOT!!!
Everytime Kai woke up he woke Chelsea up and everytime Chelsea woke up she woke Kai up. We have to have Kai in with us as he still doesn't sleep through the night and would keep his brother awake if we put him in with him. So didn't get much sleep and was absolutely knackered as hadn't slept the night before as was in labour!!!Hope tonight's better.

babyducky · 12/09/2007 21:42

taffy- just clicked on her profile then the pics are at the bottom.

Glad your dd is loving school!

oh poor you kiansmum, sounds like a fun night!
What does Kai think of chelsea?

babyducky · 12/09/2007 21:43

oh taffy just looked again & they have gone now! How weird!

kiansmum · 12/09/2007 22:07

Babyducky, We had to have Kai with us in the labour room as he wouldn't settle at my friends house with the other kids(he's a mummy's boy!) but he was good as gold and slept through the whole thing!!!
When he woke up we showed Chelsea to him and he laughed at her and tapped her on the head! He keeps looking at her as if to say why is my mum cuddling you and not me!?!
I've gotta admit it's hard trying to deal with them both at the same time.

gingeme · 13/09/2007 09:08

How was your night kian and Chelseas Mum .
Thats what weve got to sort out where our two lo's are going if this one is another early morning baby!
If I have to take them with me ds3 might want to join me in the water
Lo wants to be led around by his hand+s this morning which doesnt help as my back is hurting today. Think it was th swimming.
Oh well waiting for ds3's nursery teacher to visit this morning then off to Clown Town.
Have a good day all x

samsmam · 13/09/2007 13:56

LO is apparently really quite long sighted so it may mean glasses for her. They are going to see her in 3 months and if there is no improvement they will discuss further needs?!

First antenatal appointment today- 1.5 hours the wait! Looks like it'll be C-section for me because my placenta is totally lying over my cervix. Apparently little chance of moving.

Hope you had a better nights sleep kiansmum.

gingeme · 13/09/2007 14:06

samsam my ds1 is the same. Hes been wearing glasses since he was about 2. Hes been told he can wear contacts when he's 16. I think he would miss hiss glasses though because he has worn them for so long. They do some lovely childrens glasses now though. Not horrid pink or blue plastic ones.
Oh low placenta. How far are you now? Is it totaly covering your uterus then?
Just been to clown town. Lo is getting so adventurous now. Hes in a mad rush to do everything at once. Its lovely there because they have tots morning every week day and they get free sandwiches and squash at 12. And it wasnt too busy today now all the big kids have gone to school.
Maybe we could do our next meet up there. Think all our lo's would love it.

samsmam · 13/09/2007 14:12

Yeap totally covering- I'm only 16 weeks so there is a chance I hope!

catgirl · 13/09/2007 14:14

hello - new thread I have found! Hope you are all fine and dandy.

we are - haven't read through yet. ds2 is such a cheeky chap, 6 teeth, crawling at such speed and he certainly likes a power cable. Pulls himself up on everything, lots telling us he will be walking by the age of 1 - we shall see!

going to scan thread now and be back in a while....

catgirl · 13/09/2007 14:21

didn't mean to sounds so much like 'yoda' at the beginning of my first post there!

gosh you lot have been busy - another baby already - many congrats! Studies, hairs cuts, parties, babies, I feel like I am running to stand still!

Taffy - glad you have found a childminder. DS did like school, up until yesterday, and has now decided he 'doesn't like having two playtimes' wierdy child! I think the realisation has hit that this is it now and he HAS to go has got to him, but he will settle again, I'm sure.

am going to a pta meeting soon - am sure I am not old enough/mature enough to go to a pta?!

gingeme · 13/09/2007 14:33

Hi catgirl funny I was talking about you the other day. Ds3 starts nursery on the 26th and I was wondering how your ds was getting on. I think you have just answered my question
Oh doesnt sound hoprful then samsam. Better get your helpers booked for Feb then Ive heard a c section takes quite a while to get over.
Thats about it realy.

totallyfloaty35 · 13/09/2007 16:03

sorry about that, managed to delete the pics but they back again now

princessllama · 13/09/2007 19:33

hi everyone. congratulations kiansmum, sounds hardcore parenting.
samsmam, babies look really sweet with glasses although i do admit may be a pain to keep them on her. sorry about placenta p. hope it moves.
we've got a 1st birthday tomorrow, unfortunately the mother is right up her own bum and thinks the sun shines up there. still she's a cousin so can't not go.
feel like am constantly screaming at dh at the mo. constantly tired and v grumpy and tearful. only 16 weeks pg so this is going to be tough.
lo finally got one of her top teeth tonight so fingers crossed will be happier and not wake 3 times a night.

Rumpel · 15/09/2007 15:54

Hi All,

WOW - HUGE congrats KIANSMAM. An early surprise.
SAMSMAM - have you asked on MN if anyone has experience of low lying placenta? There may be a chance it could move.

CATGIRL - good to hear from you.

PRINCESS - hope you are feeling more upbeat now. Did the birthday go well? Hormones are a real pain. I remember feeling violently angry to the point of rage about 5 days after conceiving. Really irritable for a good 3 weeks when first pg.

Well LO has another tooth - making 3 now. The 3 at the bottom front. We went swimming on Friday and it was Mummy/baby lessons. Ended up joining in (wasn't intentional but we were just 'there') she loved it. Sat her on the edge of the pool and she 'jumped' in (being held of course). There was teeny tiny toter there - 4 months old and made me feel all nostalgic for my little baby. I love the age Amber is now but am at how quickly they grow up. She is a right laugh just now though..

started back at Uni on Wednesday - was alright but the people were a bit clique - don't need to see them again though . I am hoping this week's class wil be more friendly.

Was in my neighbour's last night - she had one of those agent party things. met some more of the neighbours and it was nice to have a good natter - 3 glasses of vino though and today I feel hung over and just want to EAT EAT EAT! Agggggg Still need to shift this last 10lbs! Oh bugger it - it is the weekend after all.

DH is away back to his old stomping ground tonight - for some reason he feels nostalgic and wants to revisit but I keep telling him it will be horrid. Still he had a viewing for the house so I am fingers crossed that they will put an offer in as it is becoming a nighmare now - really need to get it sold.

Hope you are all having a fabby weekend.

TOTALLY - photos have gone again?!

Anna is waking around like a pro now! she is so fast it's scary! Nothing is safe lol

Hope you are all well
