Hi All!

OP posts:
Are your children’s vaccines up to date?
gingeme · 22/11/2007 14:41

So far weve tried my Mika cd on the stereo in the car. Sounds ace
Didnt make it to real nappies in the end
Yes lo pulls a wet wipe out sticks it in his mouth then keeps sticking his tongue out saying eryuk!
Is everyone going to attempt to put Christmas trees up this year? Were still not sure as lo will probably pull it over a few times or nick the decs off it. Well see.

taffy101 · 23/11/2007 09:46

I think we are going to put off xmas decs for as long as we can. When dd was 18 months she chewed a sparkly star and had very festive poop on xmas day! Still she came to no harm!

jealous of you people with new cars!

why do all babies love playing with wet wipes?!

Hope you had a good day with the relatives rumpel. and good look with your essay

Nice clear but cold day here today, feel like I should go somewhere on my day off but the housework is beckoning too, decisions decisions.

wuzzlefraggle · 23/11/2007 22:20

Hi all, not posted for a while - back at my old job working from home and have been UBER busy LOL!

Anyway, hope everyone is ok.

Anna had her jab, and has the last 2 next thursday :/ great. And, yep, another wet wipe lover here to. She pulls them all out and then sticks one in her mouth LOL.

Decs are deff going up here! Not until the 8ths though (ish lol)

Well, doing some more of me Xmas shopping tomorrow, so need to get some sleep in so I can shop till I drop with my m8. Daddy is babysitting hehe!

majormoo · 25/11/2007 18:30

Hope you are all having a good weekend.
Not sure what we are doing about decorations. Seems such a shame not to have the tree up but it could turn into a nightmare with DS constantly trying to grab stuff.

I am very relieved my smear was fine (yes rumpel it was just a check up after treatment a couple of years ago but it is always very stressful waiting for the results.) so we could TTC if we wanted. Feeling very bad for my sister though. In the summer she was expecting her first baby but had a missed miscarriage. It seemed to take ages to sort everything out i.e. waiting two weeks after finding out before her D&C, being kept in hospital for ages before having it. Anyway they are back TTC and they had been very hopeful this month as her AF was late, but unfortunately it arrived today. So not sure really whether we ought to out off trying for a while, hoping she gets pregnant first. On the other side because of my pregnancy history I just want to get on with it now

santascRUMPELedsuit · 25/11/2007 20:10

Evening All,

We will put up decs - our first Christmas in our new home as a we family My brother,SIL and neice are coming over too - so it will be great fun.

MAJORMOO- know what you mean about the pg thing. My SIL had 2 m/c and the first time I fell pg I felt awful telling her - I was crying and so was she. The thing is she is 5 years younger and has more time - IYKWIM and we were just so relieved to be able to conceive after DH's accident. Then I had a missed m/c at 11+ weeks and found out at the 12 week scan. When I fell pg with A I didn't feel quite so bad telling her and then she fell pg 3 months later! You'll probably find that you both end up pg together. You need to ask yourself though - do you want to relax and have a drink at Christmas or do you want to TTC?

I am absolutely knackered today - LO was up from 2.30am - 3.30am - she is snuffly and has a temperature - I think it must be the MMR kicking in. And my tummy is enormous at night - I look about 4 months pg - I'm only 5 weeksish

My other SIL is 4 months and doesn't even look pg at all Still she is married to my BIL So I shall count my blessings!

Joined the other ante-natal club - July and there are 35 people on it

Will be weird to have a Summer baby.

Am a bit anxious though as have been feeling remarkably well - not as sick and yucky as before. I am thinking it may be that I am not working now? Not that I am complaining, as such, it's just you get a bit worried don't you?

Hope you all have had a lovely weekend.

GINGEME - have you been out in your new car all weekend?

gingeme · 26/11/2007 13:03

Yes Rumpel we have been realy running the car in so to speak this weekend. My step son has been down for the week. He lives in Cambridgeshire. We drove him home yesterday which was about a 2 hour drive. It was sooo comfy. The best bit was he lives in a village(Chatteris) just one along from the one I used to live with my ex(March) and we went to see my old house. Wow how its changed. I got out and had a quick look. Didnt hang a round too long though in case they thought I was some weirdo hanging around the house. Cant believe I lived there 10 years ago.
Anyway lo's doing brill. He has his mmr on Thursday morning. Not looking forward to that. He has started giving kisses now which is so cute but he opens his mouth which can be a bit soggy.
Only 6 weeks to go before our last lo arrives. Had a look round Mothercare World this morning. Finnished Christmas shopping at last. I was looking at the new nursing tops in there. Not too badly priced plus they were pretty modern without being over flouncy. Think I might be adding a couple to my wardrobe soon.
Well I think thats about it. Take care ladies xxxx

santascRUMPELedsuit · 27/11/2007 19:05

GINGEME - you have a stepson too!? Any step daughters?
We had news today - the bloody house sale has been put back until the end of January. Was supposed to go through on Friday ggrr! Means that Christmas will be a 'careful' affair.

Lo is still poorly she was crying out in her sleep last night so it was another rubbish night's sleep for me. I woke up severla times all sweaty - I always get particularly roasting when pg. Got my Dr appointment tomorrow - am 6 weeks now and felt really nauseous this morning bleurgh! Luckily felt better by this afternoon as my disseratation is due in on Friday [terrified panic emoticon] DH is still away and not home until Friday and I have been unable to do any work as A has been really clingy and poorly.AGGGG!

SAMSMAM - was thinking of you last night - I had a maltesars hot chocolate - was too sweet for me - have you tried it? I prefer Aero. I am off coffee so have a hot choc at night now.

Whos' LOs are walking by themselves now? A still isn't although she can walk holding just one of my hands now.

What have you got them for Xmas - A is getting an OKO trike - with a push handle - it is fab.

Hope you are all wellxxxx

gingeme · 27/11/2007 20:40

Sorry to hear about the house situation Rumpel I hope lo is on the mend soon too. Definately not what you need while your feeling rough yourself.
I have 2 step sons. One of 20 (21 Boxing Day} and the other is 18. No step daighters. So with this bump thats 7 boys betweenus
Lo started walking just before his 1st birthday. ds3 didnt walk till he was 15 months so Im sure Amber will be well on her way soon.
Took lo to a new playgroup this morning. He didnt know what to play with first. He kept trying to eat the salt dough which was disgusting. But he loved the playgroup
Hope evryone else is keeping well.
We have got lo an ELC fire engine fro Christmas and an ickle pickle which you press his tummy and he says a few phrases.

santascRUMPELedsuit · 01/12/2007 10:30

Hi All - this thread has been very quiet lately. Are you all Christmas shopping?

Well I should be jumping up and down for joy, as my dissertation was handed in yesterday, but I feel bloody awful. LO has passsed on her stinking cold. So now after hardly any sleep due to LO I can't sleep cos' I can't breathe and am all bunged up - am feeling very sorry for myself.

On a brighter note - it is a beautiful day here and DH came homw yesterday. LO's face was a picture huge .

He is away to pick up his new car today - so very excited.

Now when I start to feel better I can get on with decorating this house and doing the hundreds of things I have been putting off because of Uni.

How are all you pg ladies? I am feeling sick mostly in the mornings (then sometimes late evening) this time around. I am hoping it stays like that as I can cope with that - last time I was sick all day
Not so good when you have to change a bum explosion in the morning though - bleurgh!

Anyway hope you are doing well and have a fab weekend!

GEMMITYGEM - where are you - haven't heard from you for ages?

princessllama · 02/12/2007 20:17

well done on the dissertation rumpel.
i can smell sick everywhere-went to get lo from her rest and she was covered in it, 3 whiney hours later embarrassing us at friends house she vomitted all over herself in car. poor thing has been washed down as well as poss considering she refused to sit down in bath. have washed my hands but just can't get rid of smell. wonder what the car will be like tomorrow.
must be the most whale like grumpy pg woman now. how are you doing samsmam and gingeme? rumpel hope the sickness doesn't get too bad.

babyducky · 02/12/2007 22:50

hi all, hope your all ok, & all the LOs.

Havent been on 4 a while, been busy doin xmas shoppin, wrappin, writing cards etc, nearly all done now though, thank god!

Also been busy with wedding stuff, debenhams have messed me around so much with my bridesmaid dresses, long story, grrrr

& we have still gotta find a reception venue, running out of time, have looked at loads of places but cant find anywhere suitable/big enough etc.

anyway, Kai is such hard work now he's walking properly, never seem to get a min to myself.

got him his first proper shoes the other day, so cute. He's a size 5f, what size are your LOs?

when the woman tried them on him, he was really smiling & wouldnt take them off again, then he kept walking over to the mirror & lookin at himself. Was so cute,

well done on the dissertation rumpel, & sorry to hear about the house sale.

off to bed now, take care all xxxxxxx

babyducky · 02/12/2007 22:53

oooh forgot to say
I'M GOING TO SEE TAKE THAT TOMORROW NIGHT!!!!!!!!
Woo hoo, so excited

taffy101 · 03/12/2007 20:28

babyducky ur having more fun than me tonight! Hope you have a brilliant time.

Kai sounds so cute with his shoes! Owen is a size 3f! Before he was born i was told on my scan that he had big feet - what a lie! Or maybe i need to get him remeasured.

Got a fun evening tomorrow, i went and agreed to look after my friends two boys after school and give them their tea and DH will be in work - eeeekkk! I'm sure they are better behaved than my two though

Going xmas shopping on friday into manchester and dd going in after school club so we don't have to rush back. Done some shopping on internet though - they are both having wheelybugs. Tree not up yet - will see if lo attempts to eat CMs decorations first!

santascRUMPELedsuit · 04/12/2007 15:01

Hi All,

BABYDUCKY - wedding can be very stressful! Trying to keep everyone happy grr! Have a fab time tonight - I bet the show is excellent. The best live gig (in terms of theatrics) I ever saw was Alice Cooper at Glasgow Barrowlands - amazing and for atmosphere The Ramones and Skunk Anansie were the Dogs'.

PRINCESS - poor you - are you still at your Dad's house? You sound fed up - when are you due?

SAMSMAM - are you okay you haven't posted for ages? Is you AND bad just now?

I am feeling rough as a Badgers' bum today Exhausted and nauseated. I was intedning taking LO out as we have been in for a month now with her being poorly but feel to weak and tired so I shall stay in and rest - again.

LO had her first poo on the potty this afternoon. I am trying to get her used to it so we can train her easliy and quickly. Do you know that in the 70's the average age for PT was 18 months - now it is 3 years!!

Well am off to tidy up. I have a wedding on the 28th December and my tum looks enormous already. I will only be 10 wks then so don't want to show it off - make it obvious IYKWIM what shall I wear? The coupl who are getting hitched are really lovely people but having major probs TTC. I hope they have something extra to celebrate on their wedding day.

gingeme · 04/12/2007 18:10

Hi ladies long time no type
Just got back from the hairdressers. Took lo for his first ever hair cut. He just loved looking at himself in the mirror. Big smiles bless him. I got so sick of people saying 'aw isnt she sweet' or 'how old is she' . The last straw was today when the sonographer asked what children I had already and I said 'all boys' and she gave lo such a funny look.
Anyway hes doing brilliant. Climbs up everything and getting into real mischief. He says quite a few things too and actually said 'gandad' to my Dad on Saturday
His shoes are size 4f taffy. He has wide feet like me.
I havr 5 weeks to go before dc5 is born. Getting fed up now. Glad to say the heartburn hasn't been too bad this time but my feet aare slightly swollen in the evenings.
Well done on your erm uni thing Rumpel but sorry your not feeling very well with this pregnancy. Was you very sick with Amber?
Samsam how are you? Hope all is going well with your pregnancy too. Let us know.
Well off for my dinner now.
Take care all xxx

santascRUMPELedsuit · 04/12/2007 18:22

hey GINGEME only 5 weeks! You might end up in at Christmas, what with all the previous experience you've had Yes I was terribly poorly with Amber - all the way through and the pg before her I was also ill, got to 11 weeks and started feeling better thinking it was as I was almost 12 weeks but it was a missed m/c so my hormone levels had begun to drop.
Are your big Scottish boys coming to visit you over the hols? Must be expensive for you at Christmas time.

I haven't actually had Amber's feet measured. She is now into a 4 but her feet are mega wide, with big high arches, just like her Mummy. DH says she is a mini-me anyway and the only way he feels that he has had any input is the colour of her eyes Oh I am dreading her being a teenager already!

gingeme · 04/12/2007 21:29

Hi Rumpel Im hoping for 7th Jan to give birth.
Oh yes it is expensive now my bigger ones are erm bigger. They are only with me for four days though. Day before Christmas Eve and being picked up Day after Boxing Day. ds3 is realy looking forward to them coming.
I hope you are feeling better soon.

princessllama · 05/12/2007 18:49

gingeme everyone always saying to me that lo is a boy-poor child is now almost permanently in pink -still doesn't stop all of them though. lovely you've got the boys for christmas day. i don't know how you cope so amazingly having five. sometimes when i'm feeling whiney i remember how capably you run your lot and i feel a bit embarrassed.
rumpel, hope you feel better soon, it must be scarey wondering if feeling better is a good thing or a bad one. sounds v healthy so far. hope's feet are even fatter-3g! she's got high arches too so doesn't fit half the shoes.
good luck with all the marauding kids taffy.
samsmam hope you're ok.
i had to call in the reinforcements today as was vomitting all last night with lo's bug and can't eat anything or drink without bad tummy pain, think it makes it worse that the baby is lying on my sore tummy unless i sit up really straight

princessllama · 05/12/2007 18:50

babyducky am v jealous, i'd love to see take that. hope it's brilliant

gingemebells · 05/12/2007 19:47

Thankyou princessllama . Trust me the past couple of weeks havnt been running too smoothly. I have been so exhausted! Edward just seems more and more clingy by the day and its realy getting to me now. I just hope he doesnt carry it on when babys here
I had a 34 week scan Monday. Babys doing well and theyve stopped worrying about it being a big baby now.
Were currently in the middle of decorating our bedroom. Well dh is Im just supervising
Cant belive hell be here in 5 weeksish its gone so quick. I guess thats because Ive had lo to keep me on my toes.
samsam where/how are you?
Hope everyone else is well and looking forward to Christmas. xx

babyducky · 05/12/2007 20:21

evening ladies,

take that were brilliant!!!

Glad the scan went well. cant believe you've only got 5 weeks to go!

SAMSMAM????????? Where are you? hope your ok, x

Samsmam · 10/12/2007 20:41

I'm here. Got lots to read and catch up on so I am going to do that tonight.....

I am ok, just the usual tired! 29 weeks this Friday. Had my 4d scan last Friday it is weird to see, looks just like LO at that gestation in 4d!

I am trying to think of a good xmas name, so I'll carry on thinking about that too!

I wonder how Kiansmum is getting on? And Gemmitygem? and all the others that used to post regularly

So will read and catch up and then post properly.

babyducky · 10/12/2007 22:24

hey samsmam, glad your ok, 29 weeks already!!! Does your dp know the sex of the baby yet?

Its soooooo quiet on here lately, where are you all???

I was just thinking of all the others who used to post, anyone out there?????

hope everyones ok xxx

princessllama · 11/12/2007 20:01

hello i'm here too.
been to antenatal yoga for no 2. they were talking about the pelvic floor at the end for half an hour and i was just thinking do we have to, grumpy old pg woman! still better than rushing home to clear up dh's sick-why do men have to be so much more graphic when they're ill, and why couldn't he have had the sick bowl by his bed like i told him. i won't gross you all out, but i think we're talking buying new carpet for my dad.

Samsmam · 12/12/2007 12:53
