santascRUMPELedsuit · 24/12/2007 19:22

Hi All

Just wanted to say Merry Christmas for tomorrow! Hope you all have a fantastic day and all the LO's love it too!

I am 10 weeks now and have felt a bit better the last 2 days - remarkably. I think I must be growing a boy this time as is quite different from the last 2 pregnancies.

Big Christmas hugs to you allxxxx

EeyoreIsFab · 24/12/2007 22:26

Hi All!

Just popped in to wish everybody a HAPPY CHRISTMAS

Hope you all have a lovely day - can't wait mayself!!

(DH has just realised that he hasn't bought me a card Oh well, it is Christmas, goodwill to ALL men ...

babyducky · 28/12/2007 10:06

hi all,

hope everyones had a lovely christmas,

we had a great time, kai got some lovely presents and got spoilt as usual, will show some pics soon.

U had that baby yet ginge?

gingemebells · 28/12/2007 14:31

Hi babyducky and no baby isnt here yet. Two weeks to go.
We had a brill Christmas. My big boys were here and they all had a great time together. I think lo was a little overwhelmed by it all but he loved all the new toys he got and he ate all his Christmas dinner
Did any of your lo's meet Father Christmas? If so how did they find it? Edward was very serious with his first meeting but atleast he didn't cry!

babyducky · 28/12/2007 17:36

ooh only 2 weeks to go! How exciting!

Kai was being a cheeky monkey with his xmas dinner, we went to my mums & coz everyone was there he was showing off and throwing everything off his highchair! He only ate a few carrots, somehow managed all his choc trifle though

kai didnt meet FC, think he would've been really scared!

does anyones LOs feed themselves yet?
Kai has started to not let me feed him anything he has to do it himself, even pasta with tom sauce, yogurt, ready brek, its sooo messy & meal times are taking about an hour now!!!!

gingemebells · 28/12/2007 19:46

Oh no naughty Kai with his dinner. Yes Edward feeds himself most things though I do draw the line at 'soft' stuff. Hes into the habit of throwing stuff on the floor too. I more or less make two dinners and feed him one while the rest goes on the floor. A real pain to clear up when you cant bend
Hes starting to point at things now. Not realy with a purpose though but its fun trying to understand what he means.
How many teeth does Kai have now? Edward is just pushing his 4th one on the bottom but still only has 2 at the top.

babyducky · 28/12/2007 23:19

yeah thats what i do, try and feed him some in between all the throwing and trying to do it himself!

Was so much easier when he would just let me do it, aw he's growing up so quickly!!!

He wants to walk everytime we go out now, walking into town which normally takes 15 mins now takes over an hour!!!
he is funny though he stops and waves at everyone we walk past!

he has got 4 teeth at the top, & he's just getting the third one at the bottom.

His eczma(sp?) is really bad at the moment, he had it when he was really little then it went but now its came back again, he's had 3 different creams & he has prob gotta go and see a specialist, poor thing.

where is everyone anyway???

hello?
hello?

xxxxxxx

samsmam · 29/12/2007 08:51

Morning- I had an ok Christmas, LO loved christmas dinner but not so interested in presents! We didn't finish opening presents until Boxing Day night because there were so many. This house is overrun with fisher price little people!

Samantha has woken up with another cold they just come one after the other.
Think we have are just getting teeth number 14 and 15 through.

I am ok- really tired and running out of energy quickly- only 8 weeks to go...........
We are starting to decorate LO's new pink room today so we can put new LO in her nursery. Argos were here delivering her wardrobes at 6.55am!

gingemebells · 29/12/2007 11:46

Wow samsam she sure is cutting her teeth quick. That probably explains all her colds.
Your brave babyducky letting your lo walk everywhere. Edward walks a bit if were anywhere not too busy but luckily hes quite happy to get back in his buggy after a while.
Only 8 weeks samsam. How do you think lo will take to having a baby in the house? I thought things were happeining early hours of this morning. Was getting contractions every 8 mins for about an hour. Feel realy niggley today and have a period type pain under my bump . Going to the park later when dh comes home see if we can move things along. It worked for Edward
Well glad to hear all your lo's had a good Christmas xxxx

babyducky · 29/12/2007 15:47

hey samsmam, cant believe you've only got 8 weeks left.

hope the decorating goes well.

ooh sounds like it could be starting then ginge? how exciting! Anything else happened yet?

ive done a christmas montage if anyone wants to see,

babyducky · 29/12/2007 16:04

sorry think it works now

gingemebells · 29/12/2007 17:37

Absolutely briliant babyducky. I take it Kai doesnt like hats! Looks like he was thoroughly spoilt. And so he should be

santascRUMPELedsuit · 29/12/2007 18:03

Hi All,

Glad to hear you had good fun at Christmas. Been really busy here. bro, SIl and neice for Xmas - was really nice to watch the girls play together. Amber was impressed with a Lion soft chair she got form my parents. She was a bit with her trike from PIL - too wee yet but it is fab. Will do her for ages. Amber had Thai prawns and smoked salmon for the first time for Xmas dinner - she loved them. She is a total carnivore - loves meat of all types!

Boxing day SIl and I went to the sales as A needed a new coat. Got lots of fab stuff in Debenhams then nearly fainted. Had to sit down at the end of the queue, then made my way to the seats but thought I wasn't going to make it in time. Some nice lady called the first aider for me - was very . Thank goodness it wasn't just A and I though. SIL got me some cake and coke and I sat for 30 mins till I felt okay. Low blood pressure and hypoglaecemic.

I am serioulsy begiining to think I may have 2 cooking in here as my tum is HUMUNGOUS! I look about 5 months preggers and am only 10 weeks. Does your tum expand that much more quickly when you have them close together? Have gone form size 14 to 18 and not put any weight on. I am sure I am cooking a boy this time as I cannot get enough protein

We then went back to where we used to live yesterday for a wedding. I did really well and managed until 9.30pm - late night for me! God, we had to wait so long for our food though - everyone was practically chewing their arms off! Luckily I had a wee stash to keep me going or I would have keeled over for sure.

I have not had a full night's sleep for about 4 months now I am absolutley shattered. If A hasn't been unwell then I can't sleep myself! I get terrible insomnia in early pg - it is a right royal pain in the ass!

Anyway sorry for the huge post but I hope you are all well and enjoying the hols - A is certainly enjoying spending so much time with her Daddy!

EMILYANDLOLA - if you pop in was wondering how you are coping with it all? Must be hard for you having split up with LO's Dad so hope you are okay.

GEMMITYGEM - where are you these days?

YOUNGMUM - ditto?

PRINCESS - how did it go at your Dads'? Not too stressful I hope.

GINGEME - any news?

gingemebells · 30/12/2007 12:05

Oh my Rumpel don't do scary stuff like that! Are you ok now? Do you reckon it could be twins then ? Do you have twins in your family? Guess youll find out at your first scan.
No news here baby seems to be quite comfy where he is. Could do with him coming a bit early actualy but he obviously has other ideas
lo is real snotty again and moany today. More teeth on their way I think.
Well its lunch time and my three year old is asking for some sandwich.
Take care all xx

santascRUMPELedsuit · 30/12/2007 19:33

GINGEME - twins on both my sides. A must be getting another tooth too as she has hands in mouth constantly and is dribbling again - no 9 when it arrives.

She actually slept through the night last night - yeah! I slept form 8.30pm to 3am then woke up - managed to doze off and on though. felt quite puky again today - bleurgh. Maybe you will have a New Year baby and be in the papers! Any of your other ante-natal club popped yet? There are so many on mine I can't keep up! One is on no 6 and another is on no 7 child! They must be good at being pg.

Take care all.xxx

gingemebells · 30/12/2007 19:52

Yes Rumpel quite a few ladies have popped already. A lady had twins naturaly yesterday. She already has triplets. All concieved naturaly too
I checked Edwards mouth earlier and not only does he have two coming through at the bottom I can see little white bits at the top too. Poor little fella. No wonder he is so miserable
Took the boys to Clown Town this afternoon. What a difference now Edward can walk. He was climbing up everything. He thoroughly enjoyed himself. Mind you so did I. Thought it might have got things going a bit but alas not.
Well off for my shower now.
Take care all xxxx

princessllama · 30/12/2007 23:38

happy christmas everybody. Hope also has a tooth coming i think but it's too high risk to stick my finger in anymore-she thinks it's hillarious when i yelp in pain. -no.14 so v toothy. she has dribble swinging from her chin plus snotty nose and sticking finger in her mouth. she's got a new toy from my mum's boyfriend called 'bath predator'-v. amusing what a 48year old man with no child experience buys! it's a 3 foot long rubber dolphin that takes up more of her bath than she does. fortunately it's tail makes for a satisfying teething chew. she also got 3 new teddies-that makes 53 since she's been born. obviously she's not interested in any of them.
oh my god gingemeballs-can you imagine triplets then twins, you'd never be able to cough safely again. keep us posted on how you're progressing.
thank goodness am at in laws and not dads for last 6 days as have developed sinusitis and been in bed alot. lo is kept entertained by lovely family and huge numbers of horses, puppies and sheep. slightly terrifies me on the horse front as she wants to give them cuddles and they seem quite vicious to me. but then i am really frightened by horses anyway. i'm trying to pretend to lo that am not as don't want her to be handicapped by it too. sil's horses are huge-professional things.-horrible, apart from the really cute foal. but still, there's no knowing what they might do when she insists on sticking her fingers up their noses
rumpel hope the feinting and queasyness goes soon-it doesn't help when sleep gets so short. glad you've got the secret stash of food sorted-have been doing that at all the weddings this summer. got to go to one next weekend and really not in mood. just too waddly and knackered.
four more weeks til get back home . dad is being a bit grumpy-was in such a faff on xmas morning he didn't even open his presents with us before he drove off to visit his sister for the week. have taught lo to say'oh no' when i ask her,'what does grandpa say?'
sorry vvv long post.
slight cloud on horizon-tomorrow have to attempt to manipulate mil's back on kitchen table with huge pg bump in middle. don't feel confident at mo-treating family always is disaster when they don't get miracle but they always pester until feel too guilty not to try

gingemebells · 31/12/2007 11:56

Good to hear from you princessllamma. Sounds like your lo's having a great time with all the aminals. Lol at her trying to put her hands up the horses noses though Im sure the horse is none to keen.
Edwards got his second booster in an hour. Should add to the misery of his teething and cold
I feel realy tired today and Im getting period type pains too. My parents spent Christmas in Cyprus this year and came home last night so Ive told baby it can come now Nanny and Grandad are home. Wonder if it will listen
Well better get some lunch soon. Have to be at the the docs for 1.
Happy New Year to you all xxx

santascRUMPELedsuit · 01/01/2008 15:06

Happy New Year all.xxx been feeling rough here so living quietly and crabbitly - poor DH .

majormoo · 02/01/2008 21:04

Happy New Year to you all. Have not posted for weeks what with all the Christmas festivities.

Christmas was lovely with the kids.

Hope the pregnancies are going well. We are going to start TTC this month so very excited. Planning to go for a very laid back approach (as it were!)this time. With DS I was so desperate to be pregnant, it wasn't much fun really.

gingeme · 05/01/2008 20:56

Hi ladies how are we all ? Only a week to go till D day. No sign yet though just lots of niggles and tightenings so far.
Lo is into climbing now. He climbs up on everything now. We bought ds3 an eisel for Christmas with a kind of shelf in the middle and he manages to get up on there. Dh caight him climbing on the kitchen table yesterday with a big grin on his face. Little toad.
He seems to have an eye for the girls now too. We went to a childrens party today for a little boy who was 10 and Edward went round smiling at all the girls. We went to Clown Town during the week and a little girl came up ti him and was helping him up and down on the equipment. A real ladies man
Not alot else happening here realy. Hope everyone had a good New Years Eve and drank loads and was merry.
Take care all
xxxx

babyducky · 07/01/2008 12:14

hi all,

happy new year to everyone!

Had to take kai to a&e sat morning, he was boiling hot when he woke up and kept shaking and then going all floppy, scared the life out of me, turns out he has got an ear infection & his eczma on his face has become infected, which is making him feel really poorly, poor little thing, he has also got another tooth coming through & a cold so i bet he feels awful, Hes on antibiotics, & he's been refered to a dermatologist.

He's not himself at all, he's been sleeping a lot & just wants cuddles, he's still eating & drinking ok though so thats good.

hows everyone else doin?

any sign of the new lo yet gigngeme?

How are all you other pregnant ladies?
How long have you all got left?

xxx

princessllama · 07/01/2008 20:18

hi babyducky, poor kai sounds horrible, always dreading having to go to a&e with lo. you must be having a really hard time. eczema always worse with teeth and fever. have you tried cutting out dairy products-works for me but i haven't had the really awful eczema like my mum's that oozes and bleeds.
pg is progressing, have been practicing not saying'i feel huge and grumpy and hormonal' when people ask how i am. nobody wants to hear that. 2nd time round they have so much more room to bounce around and elbow you. it keeps diving into my pelvis and jumping on my bladder when i'm pushing the pushchair.
we tried the natural history museum today just to do something different. i quite enjoyed it but she did run riot in the mammals gallery, thank god she didn't manage to get at any of the exhibits..
ginge hope you're ok
rumpel how's the chucking up?
samsmam are you coping with lo? am finding it really hard just to get up the stairs after her.
what stage is everyone else up to with milk/bottles now. not sure what should be doing.
