And dairy-free too if needed.

It's not been the best month for a lot of Januaries has it?

Welcome ratfly . Ill fill you in I have a ds who 3 and my dd was born on the 14th jan. My ds is a handfull ask Eah she gets the brunt of my moaning.

Well iv had a busy weekend we went to parents house and slept there last night, lauren was in our room when we went went to bed we woke her up and before you ask NO we werent shagging it was the bloody floor boards!!!!!!! She was singing away to herself and saying dadda dadda her new word. In the afternoon took aidan to the park and there was a paddling pool guess who was straight in trainers on and all I could have killed him.

Enjoy the rest of the bank hol GUESS WHERE IM GOING ON SATURDAY PORTUGAL YIPPPPPPPPEEEE

eandh · 27/08/2007 15:45

LAL and that you are deserting me who will I moan about Ellie to now?? (although we will be going on holiday in 2 weeks time yipeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee)

Meant to say we put Ellie on the omega 3 fish oil capusles (well she doesnt like them but I squeeze the stuff out and she has it off the spoon going ot buy the syrup next time) and she has been on them 2 weeks and the last few days she has been a delight, few tantrums etc but not as many as before and not to the level they were getting to.

I went into town with them both this morning and actually tried some clothes on whilst Ellie sat in the cubicle saying 'mummy beautiful' or 'mummy yuck' no running off etc in fact we ended up in town for 2 hours with no tantrums running off etc. We got all the stuff to do her party bags with and whilst Hattie had her nap we filled them up and also I have been a nice Mummy and let her have paints out, normally she'll do it for 10mins and get bored but shes has spent the best part of an hour 'painting' so maybe the fish oil is helping in that respect???

I have a huge pile of ironing to do as my washing machine was fixed and broken again so brothers girlfriend done all my washing but now I need to iron it all (normally I do a bit of ironing each night and it doesnt take to long) and dh been texting me loads today so have a feeling he has an ulterior motive tonight

LadyTophamHatt · 27/08/2007 16:01

Another recommendation for metanium here. FAB stuff.

However, Wilkie you shouldn't put too much on. One of my pals from my RL post natal group is a instensive care/surgical prep nurse and they use it in hospital on bed sores etc. She said its extremley potent stuff and on babies should be used very sparingly.

LadyTophamHatt · 27/08/2007 16:02

she won't use it on her baby because its so strong.....

theUrbanDryad · 27/08/2007 17:29

we use Bepanthen here - works wonders on the little dude's bum if he's a bit sore. he's in my good books today, he ate a whole cube of chicken and veg and rice! am so proud of him! he did the most explosive poo ever just now though (ut was dh's turn wink])

2Happy · 27/08/2007 19:31

Evening. Too tired to post properly, been at an agricultural show all afternoon after working all morning. ds1 just spent the WHOLE time climbing on tractor after tractor after tractor. My life is just going to be like this for ever. dh was working, but didn't put any sun block on and now looks like a lobster!! Eah - I followed your link but couldn't see a tractor [stupid emoticon]

Ratfly - hello and welcome . ds2 was sleeping through, but then he started losing weight so I started to wake him for night feeds and he seems to be quite happy to carry them on indefinitely. In fact, he's like the opposite of Wilkie's J and spurns everything but milk (though he took carrot from the CM today!! Hurray!)
Eah - ds2 was the second of feb - it's always wrong on your list [stamps feet like it matters ]
Wonder how Galmum is, she was going to move house, hope she's ok. And katierocket and saltcod were on another thread last week.
Canmummy - how're you feeling? Any better?
Strangely was going to suggest secret santa. Honest! Did one with ds1's PN group - just like LTA (Lady TOPham Angler) suggests - one person co-ordinates etc. Presents for the mums definitely, ds2 has stuff of his own plus all of ds2's stuff
Can't think coherently, suspect I'm waffling now (shuffles off, mumbling "John Deere, New Holland, Massy Ferguson" under breath)

does this work 2happy?

Wilkie · 27/08/2007 20:32

SECRET SANTA - READ IF SKIMMING
OK - my idea - I'll co-ordinate. Email me if you want to join in by Friday and I'll sort it. For those of you unsure of format. Email me your name, by end of week I will stick all names in a hat and pull out names (to make it fair and evenly spread). I will then email you back with the name of the person you are buying for. My email is [email protected]

Shall we say tenner a head?

LTH - thanks for the Metanium tip, I do have a tendency to plaster it on

2Happy - Agricultural show. Ahhhh, remember them well. Used to be the marketing account manager for Simba/John Deere/Opico/Claas joy oh joy and HAD to attend some show at Earls Court each year (can't remember what it was called). Zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz!!

I look at that list and am sad we lost so many people. Just the hard-core massive left.

Lovely day today. Had our BFs round with their LO. She is nearly 1 yr old and kept crawling after J and kissing (well licking) his head So sweet and SO gutted my camera is broken

Wilkie · 27/08/2007 21:34

EAH to the rescue

canmummy · 27/08/2007 22:05

Hi everyone - I'm busy recuperating! (that means I'm laid in bed with my laptop, remote control, glass of wine and dh has just run me a bath!). I'm feeling loads better but still frustrated I can't do too much.

Wilkie - count me in for secret santa but my laptop isn't set up to e-mail so I'll have to do it later/another day! And another vote for metanium

LAL - hope you have a lovely holiday I could do with another one

Ratfly - welcome!

Going in that bath now before he pulls the plug1

LadyTophamHatt · 28/08/2007 11:52

Don't suppose any of you want a ready made 8 yr old??

I'm sick to f*cking death of him

VinoRouge · 28/08/2007 12:25

Wilkie I want to do secret santa please. I love the idea!!!

LTH - I am wowed by you catching mackerel. You are too cool for us really. Hope all the DS's were suitably impressed.

We had a successful camping weekend

Lizzzombie · 28/08/2007 15:43

Thanks for nappy rash recommendations. I will go on the hunt for both of those creams.

Hope everyone is having a good day. I am so pleased Bank Holiday is over, now I can get my house nice and tidy again! DP painted our bedroom on Sunday, I now have a lovely purple feature wall!

PCF! Is anyone else TTC? We could place bets

theUrbanDryad · 28/08/2007 18:43

evening all!

bit of a rubbish day here - Z is really in pain with his top teeth coming through. he was ok this morning, but then started to grizzle, then scream in pain this afternoon. he sat on my lap and sobbed for about ten minutes, i put him in the sling and carried him round for a bit which soothed him for a little while, but then he started crying again. i felt so bad for him being in so much pain. stupid teeth, why do they hurt my wee man so much? in the end i gave him some Medised and put him to bed.

there is a bright side to this: since moving him back into our room, and co-sleeping more, i've found myself getting less impatient with him. i feel a lot more attached to him, and this makes me happier!

PCF - good luck with the ttc! will we see you soon on the June antenatal threads soon?

Wilkie · 28/08/2007 18:49

UD - top teeth are a PITA. I can't see anything, just keep giving him Calpol. He's not eating properly either. Has gone off sweet foods (strange boy).

So far for Secret Santa:

Me
EAH
Liz
Jodie
UD
LAL

C'mon girlies...

Seriously, where is MrsC? She has been MIA for AGES.

VinoRouge · 28/08/2007 19:40

Ellen has a top tooth poking through. WE have been getting through a lot of nurofen lately. Not got round to buying medised yet. Been too busy to get to Boots!

Having a hard working week of just one day and its over now. Yippeee!!!!!! Ellen fell asleep havingher tea in her high chair so god knows what she's been up to at nursery. I woke her up to change her and give her her bottle then she konked out again in bed. Lets hope it lasts til morning.

Tomorrow off to see Wilkie for the day. More adventure! Thursday got friends round for lunch/afternoon, Friday hospital and I suppose some ironing then off on hen weekend to Chester races. Anyone got any tips for me???

DH on his way home from work so time for tea shortly.

PCF good luck!!!

saltcod · 28/08/2007 19:50

Oh vino I love the races we went 2 weeks ago I bet on a horse called eddas because its eah friends mnet name and it won . I love the races iv been to cheltenham, york, aintree, southall, market rasen, uttoxeter doncaster, haydock the list is endless my dh is a big betting man he goes to cheltneham every year for the 4 day festival and lets put it like this a few years back he paid for my £ 6000.00 kitchen with his winnings .

ratfly · 28/08/2007 21:03

Hi everyone!
we went round friends at the weekend and I can't believe ds did so well with his sleep - he wasn't swaddled and fell asleep in his buggy (being walked, mind), fell asleep in the car on the way home, and went straight down i his cot when we arrived home. I actually feel like we are making headway!
And he is nearly crawling now - I dread that day when he can get around independently, so I am enjoying the peace and quiet for now!
Hope all your dcs are fab!

eandh · 28/08/2007 22:08

evening, had a great day here too, hattie woke up at 6.30am but ellie slept till 7.30 (she put herself to bed at 6pm the night before so must have been tired) and this week she really has been the loveliest little thing to look after so we have had a nice day (maybe me not being on here today has helped )

Just got back from bingo with eddas (we love going to bingo we never win but its so funny how the old biddys take it so seriously)

Wen to Drs today to egt another prescription for my pill, and they discussed dh having the chop or me having the injections every 12 weeks but I found myself saying that we werent sure hattie would be our last (eeeek where did that come from?) although if we did have another maybe sooner rather than later would be better I am so unsure
(having sold most of my baby stuff ) right am off to bed now so night

Wilkie · 29/08/2007 08:53

Morning. We are up to a total of 10 for the secret santa so far.

J had a good night, slept through from 6.30pm with only a little whinge at about 7.30pm. Got up at 7am. Lovely.

His teeth are obv hurting though cos when I gave him his breakfast he immediately cried and stuck his fingers in his mouth. Bless him

Looking forward to today - Vino is coming over for the day. J has combed his hair(s) especially for Ellen (Hattie really does need to be a little more forward EAH )

Not much to report other than I am sat oppostie a little twunt at work who is 8 years younger than me but thinks he knows it all. YAWN. I want to slap him but I suppose he's not worth the effort. He's just a cock.

Ratfly - great about the sleeping!!! Fingers crossed.

LAL - if I give your DH some money can he turn it into £10k for me , have tet you my address for those prices

Saltcod - HI you should come on here more often, we miss you

JodieG1 · 29/08/2007 09:15
