And dairy-free too if needed.

It's not been the best month for a lot of Januaries has it?

you are all lovely and friendly

Nemo2007 · 26/08/2007 21:31

Chloe loves food that isnt hers..wont be spoon fed so doing BLW which seems to be going ok and is a lot easier.

eandh · 26/08/2007 21:34

hattie loves her food 3 meals of her own (mashed up lumps now) plus whatever else she can steal from other people!!

ratfly · 26/08/2007 21:34

I tried blw, but it was sooooo messy! And ds kept shoving things too far down his throat and made scary choking noises.

ratfly · 26/08/2007 21:38

Saul is eating 3 meals a day, but we have to be careful because he has eczema, so have to watch out for allergies. So we are taking things really slowly...

Wilkie · 26/08/2007 21:41

J lurves his food - purees (and choc fingers BAD MUMMA)!!!

Although he has decided that EAT IS FOR THE WEAK this week and is refusing anything. I had to resort to.....dare I say it......MILK.....at 3.30pm!!!!!!!!!!!

Wilkie · 26/08/2007 21:42

BTW Ratfly - a lot of us MSN too if you have it

JodieG1 · 26/08/2007 21:44

We've been to Milton Keynes today to Gulliver's land and the kids loved it, inlaws live near it so they came too. Lovely and sunny it was as well. Thinking of going swimming tomorrow.

Wilkie - Ethan can crawl the stairs too, not bothering with the gate this time though as I think I want him to learn how to get up and down the stairs safely and anyway the other 2 need to go up and down stairs as well. I keep the door shut so he can't get out unless I'm there! Chocolate fingers for lunch sounds yummy, Ethan always needs a bath after dinner as he makes a right mess lol, he loves brocolli and gets it everywhere.

I'm up for a secret santa I don't mind if it's for child or adult.

Ratfly - welcome I never listen to hv "advise" about how much to feed babies as they eat what they need and there is no "normal" amount they should eat really because they all need different amounts. My ds2 is still bf so I don't know how much milk he takes but he wakes 4-5 times a night to feed as well as during the day and also 3 meals a day plus snacks. He eats proper food as we're doing BLW and stuffs it all down hehe. He's never slept through the night or anything like yet but it will come in time.

ratfly · 26/08/2007 21:45

oooohhh yes that would be cool!
I am [email protected]

Nemo2007 · 26/08/2007 21:47

just added you

JodieG1 · 26/08/2007 21:47

Ratfly - they get used to the food after a short while and don't gag anymore, the first couple of weeks were the worst with gagging but he's fine now and gagging isn't choking Nothing to worry about Ethan has an allergy to egg after having it a couple of times and being fine and we're waiting to see someone for tests etc now, it was scary as his lips swelled up and he had hives all over his face and hands. Thankfully he was fine and I don't think he even ate any that time as he kept spitting it out, instinct for him I believe.

JodieG1 · 26/08/2007 21:48

Just added you as well although I'm not online at the mo.

Nemo2007 · 26/08/2007 21:48

Chloe still gags sometimes but more from taking too big a chunk..lol

Shimmer · 26/08/2007 22:16

Evening all. Just a quicky as I'm off to bed in a mo. We're taking F to London zoo tomorrow and I'm SOOOO excited Been gorgeous hot weather here the last few days.

Welcome ratfly! Saul is a fab name! My LO is Freddie

EAH F has taken to doing a poo about 5:30am too! He usually wakes up and shouts around then just to let me know he's done one, but will go back to sleep pretty much straight away Is it terrible that I don't usually get up to change him?? I've got used to him sleeping til about 8 and don't think i'd cope with having to be up for the morning before 6!

Definitely up for the Secret Santa

UD love the new pics! You should get Baby Einstein for Z! It's pretty much the only thing F will sit quietly for. Those wires though!!! F would be over there chewing through them in a second!

eandh · 27/08/2007 06:40

morning dh woke hattie when he went to work at 4.45 took me till 5.30 to settle her and then i couldnt get back to sleep so am downstairs watching tv and haing a cup of tea in peace I expect they'll both be up soon, oooo on cue I can hear ellie moving about!!

Shimmer have a fab dayam very I cant be bothered to take mine anywhere today as its a nightmare with them both on my own!

Lizzzombie · 27/08/2007 07:34

Wow - you all can talk!

Hi Ratfly welcome to our nice friendly group, where we promise we wont shout rude things at you like other people on this site.
MrsC is around, I have seen her on other threads.
LTH well done on the fishing!
Xmas Secret Santa - I'm up for that! I never get enough presents any more...its just not fun.

I need your help...!
LO has REALLY REALLY bad nappy rash, can anyone recommend anything in particular which worked for them? We have tried Kamillasan and also Sudocreme. Neither worked, if anything they made it worse. If its as sunny today as it was yesterday then we will have a naked bum day in the garden (but he did 7 poos yesterday so I am still considering this)

have a good bank holiday x

Lizzzombie · 27/08/2007 07:36

Definately second the Baby Einstien thing. Dvds and Cds, both are magic at calming LO (and me!) down

geoRGEEweasley · 27/08/2007 08:45

Quick post before DH susses me.... Am supposed to be packing for Ireland.....

Have a great BH. Am away for the week - wedding on Thurs, then back in time for wedding on Saturday (yawn..).

Hi Ratfly - ignore Wilkie. She is cos I am a wise, mature woman of the world

Lizz - nappy rash cream we use (think it's called) metanium and it is brill. Would v recommend it.

I'm in for secret Santa, so long as it's adults !! LO will just be too spoilt, and with birthdays at the same time..

Right, must dash.

Wilkie · 27/08/2007 09:20

LIzz - I second metanium - absolutely magical stuff. Just be careful not to get it on your clothes or carpet as it stains. If nappy rash really bad apply it at every change and an extra thick layer at night.

Wilkie · 27/08/2007 09:20

BTW, you can buy it just about everywhere - not just pharmacies. It's usually with the baby stuff.

metanium is fantastic we always have a tube in this house

I forgot to tell you about my shock letter on saturday, the manager of ellies pre school (the one that has helped her so much and if it wasnt for her I'd never have perserved with Ellie being at pre school) is leaving and wont be there in the new term.

I am so so sad becuae all holidays ellie has been asking when she'll see xxx again, she does like other assistants but this lady was her absolute favourite and she'd always settle down for her, luckily her 2nd favourite lady is now going to the manager and I am hoping it all works out as my worst fear is that pre school closes and I have to relocate her aaarghhhhhh (going to do loads of funraising to make sure they stay open now!) Just got to explain to Ellie that xxx wont be there when we go back (starting to hyperventalite about how long its going to take to resettle her in september)

eandh · 27/08/2007 09:27

pcf hattie has head dived off the sofa and our bed in the last week

Wilkie · 27/08/2007 09:59

PCF - J dived off our bed and mums bed. He has also fallen down a couple of stairs after climbing up them when I was in the kitchen.
