And dairy-free too if needed.

It's not been the best month for a lot of Januaries has it?

Nemo2007 · 26/08/2007 20:57

UD he is sooo scrumptious!!

ratfly · 26/08/2007 20:59

Can I join in? Ds was born in Jan 07 - didnt realise there was a post natal group here!!

Wilkie · 26/08/2007 21:01

Ratfly - welcome. I am certain we have crossed threads before. Details of labour, birth, LO please

ratfly · 26/08/2007 21:02

ooohhhh, do I get to talk about ds
labour lasted 2 days, with NO progress whatsoever. I was high as a kite for the 2nd day, so not too fussed . Then waters broke, heartrate dropped, and ended with emergency section....
Recovery was really quick though, and the whole thing was not as stressful as it sounds.

Wilkie · 26/08/2007 21:04

Bloody hell. What date was he born??

ratfly · 26/08/2007 21:04

oh yeah, forgot to say, I only got to 2cm after 2 days.... lol

So ds is now apparently sleeping through after hv advised he was waking in the night to eat 15oz (2 feeds) above what he should be eating - he was eating nearly 40oz a day AND 3 full meals lol

ratfly · 26/08/2007 21:05

20th

Wilkie · 26/08/2007 21:06

Holy crap!!! DS only started sleeping through at 6 1/2 months. He's on 3 meals a day and only 7oz milk!!! He doesn't like milk weird baby.

ratfly · 26/08/2007 21:06

that was on an odd post sorry. I will answer in a full sentence . Sorry, I am so excited to be on a thread where all our los are the same age
DS was born on the 20th of Jan

ratfly · 26/08/2007 21:07

lol. Ds is a little piggy when it comes to food- hope he inherits dh's metabolism and not mine!

Wilkie · 26/08/2007 21:08

Aw mate - we have been here AGES. We are a lovely group [except RGee, she's old and wizened, she also has a hairy wart on her nose]

We talk alot hence the fact we are on Part 15 of our 7 month post natal group!!

ratfly · 26/08/2007 21:11

It's nice to hear from others with los the same age. like, how others los arent very mobile, but sit up. Or how they arent sleeping though (big subject for me, as I have only just had a full nights sleep in the last week)! All the babies in RL post natal group seem to be sleeping through at 3 months and walking at 5 lol

Wilkie · 26/08/2007 21:13

RL people LIE! We don't.

DS only started sleeping through 4 weeks ago. I don't always believe people - what constitutes sleeping through?? To me, it means 11/12 hours solid sleep - NO interruptions.

What trouble are you having?

ratfly · 26/08/2007 21:15

Well the excessive eating was what seemed to be the problem!

DS also has eczema, so we swaddled at night too until a coulpe of days ago. I think he had too many props for sleep (used to use a dummy) so we gradually weaned him off them, and he is sleeping through - Result!!

eandh · 26/08/2007 21:16

helloooooooo..... welcome my dd2 (hattie) sits up and bum shuffles a bit, decided to take a few steps with the walker so bad mummy I am have taken the walker away a dont want her mobile yet although when she goes in her sit in walker she scoots all over the place normally helped by Ellie (dd1!)

ratfly · 26/08/2007 21:17

I quickly read the rest of the thread - is your ds mobile now?

theUrbanDryad · 26/08/2007 21:19

don't mention sleep!

welcome ratfly - i think i've seen you around as well!

and i will not hear a word against RGee - she is lovely and nice. although Wilkie did bring up an interesting question earlier: Where is MrsC gone? and the lady in Wales who's dp was in the Forces??

eandh · 26/08/2007 21:19

and they work it that most nights one of them wakes up for something (I think they have a plan/chart/sticker thing hidden somewhere who can get mummy up the most especially as dh is deaf at nighttimes and appears not to hear them )

Hattie has decided 5am is a good time to poo whilst ellie thinks 2-3am is good time to either have a nightmare/come in our room and start trying to have a conversation/need a wee but also feels the need to shout about it or shove dh out of bed so she can snuggle up with me!!

Nemo2007 · 26/08/2007 21:21

heloo ratfly and welcome. My DD2 is 5th jan baby, and has only slept through the last week.,.and even that is not in the true sense, she will wakr around 11 for some milk then sleep till 7am. None of my children sleep as my son is 3.10yrs and only just started sleeping through with the help of bribes and DD1 is 20m and is an on and off sleeper due to asthma, coughs, colds etc. So our house is a fun place to be of a night

eandh · 26/08/2007 21:21

loads missing

loubie
mrsc
lady in wales (cant remember her name sorry)
annieapple
pcf
oh god may have to find original list!

ratfly · 26/08/2007 21:24

thanks! I needed to hear that mine isn't the only one not sleeping! (though seems to be now, crossed fingers)
I am only too aware that anything could break his sleeping through too - teething, a cold, the night before I go back to work etc...

my lo (also a 5th jan baby like Nemo's and EAH's!) doesn't sleep through and never has. hence the twitching. i'm desperately hoping he'll sleep better once he starts eating more solids food, but of course he has to eat something first!!

theUrbanDryad · 26/08/2007 21:29

i wonder how piximom got on - she was the only one due with twins wasn't she?

we are a friendly bunch really ratfly (honest)

ratfly · 26/08/2007 21:30

so how is weaning going then?
