And dairy-free too if needed.

It's not been the best month for a lot of Januaries has it?

MrsCarrot · 08/09/2007 21:37

lemon poppy seed cake, and toast crumbs..

EAH did you make that cake?

eandh · 08/09/2007 21:39

Yes >

MrsCarrot · 08/09/2007 21:44

20 pounds, bargain!

I made dd a fairy castle once with swiss roll towers and ink icinged cornet turrets. Didn't look as good as that though. I bet she was thrilled with it.

JodieG1 · 08/09/2007 21:47

Did it hurt loads then Wilkie? I haven't been brave enough yet. How long did it take?

eandh · 08/09/2007 21:48

she was it actually looked better but dh knocked the tower so had to patch it up (originally the doord were slightly open and had jelly tots cascading down. He is a family friend makes all our cakes and only ever charges £20, he is actually a jeweller by trade (made my engagement/wedding/eternity rings)

MrsCarrot · 08/09/2007 22:00

That's lovely, EAH, I wish we had someone to do all our cakes, and jewels!

Wilkie · 08/09/2007 22:05

It took about 10 minutes. Have been going to my beautician for ages so she knows me well. Good job cos I yelled 'fuck' after each strip. It is fine above (i.e. usual bikini line) but the lower they get and closer to your actual fanjo it really really stings like buggery - not enough to put me off though. I would never have it all off again cos that ABSOLUTELY killed me and left it very sensitive afterwards although it did feel nice IYKWIM.

I have my underarms and eyebrows done too which are nothing compared to that!

MrsCarrot · 08/09/2007 22:07
Wilkie · 08/09/2007 22:08

I had it done prior to giving birth and with every strip I jumped, causing J to jump!

Not that the MWs seemed to care, nor did they comment on my beautifully groomed bush!

MrsCarrot · 08/09/2007 22:16

Did you really? I think givng birth was probably my bushiest, not having been able to see it for so long.

Wilkie · 08/09/2007 22:18

Yer, went about 30 weeks so it had grown by the time I went into labour but not too much

LadyTophamHatt · 08/09/2007 22:21

wilie, would you get it done again for child birth?

Wilkie · 08/09/2007 22:22

Prob not - I couldn't have cared less when I was in labour!! My legs were TRES hairy anyway.

TBH - I have a bit of a 'thing' about hairy fanjo. I HATE the feel of it when it is too hairy which is why I am a bit obsessive with waxing it.

LadyTophamHatt · 08/09/2007 22:25

how funny...di you notice my typo?

wilie

I doubtther are any willies on here being waxed...

Wilkie · 08/09/2007 22:26

Nope but my beautician does male waxing too - makes me PMSL with her stories about it!!

Had one bloke ask if it needed to be erect for her to do it - ha ha ha ha ha ha

eandh · 09/09/2007 08:48

Morning, I have just had the best nights sleep in ages fell asleep around 10ish and woke up at 8.20 and am now Mnetting in bed with a cup of tea whilst dh popped out for a run. Mum and Dad said girls were good last night hattie slept 6pm to 5.30am but just laid in their bed till 6.20 when she started 'singing' to them. Ellie slept 6.20pm (fell asleep on the floor as she was so tired) and didnt wake till 7am!!

Pil's have bought a new car and they have a honda civic that is in perfect condition fully serviced etc, however, because it is an old reg the dealer only offered them £100 for it so they have given it to us as a 2nd car (its mot/tax till july 08) insurance is only £16 per month and it'll perfect for dh to use to get to work if the weather is bad and also handy if we need to be in seperate places yeah yeah we are a 2 car family!!!!!

eandh · 09/09/2007 17:00

everyone must be very busy today !!

geoRGEEweasley · 09/09/2007 18:20

Hi Eah!

Just back from the hen weekend and it was FAB! How often do you come back from hen weekend more refreshed than when you left? Had a great time at Centre Parcs - spent all yesterday afternoon lazing in the spa, on water beds, and in the warm sunshine, and lie ins on Saturday morning and today. Very restained on the alcohol front so am really perky this evening!

Got home and pleased that DH coped, although P has a huge bruise on her forehead from a forward fall onto our wooden floor (similar style to the Friday topple Vino, but worse!). DH had to go to bed this afternoon to recover from his full day with the lo!!

eandh · 09/09/2007 19:16

sounds lovely rgee and pmsl at dh going to bed!!

I have just put everything in the car so hoping noone nicks it tonight!!DH started loading the car but he is so unlogical I took it out and redid it so everything is in the boot (except hatties swim seat which is inflated as mum and dad took them swimming today)

I have cleaned the house from to to bottom so if a burglar appears he'll be impressed with the cleanliness dh does not understand the 'must clean house before we go away thing' also changed everyones bedding so when we come home we'll have clean bedding.

As I was child free today popped into town and bought myself new boots and shoes, got DH some navy blue converse shoes and couldnt resist and got ellie some sparkly/glittery converse. Hattie got some socks and a new top from next also got a lovely fluffy pink chenille type blanket in primark for hattie for £3 its so lovely and soft she'll love snuggling up with it.

Wilkie · 09/09/2007 20:51

EAH - I think we should ban you from spending for a week - bet yo couldn't do it!!

RGee - which CP did you go to? We are going to Sherwood Forest in the morning - WHOOO!!! Although I would be more excited if J didn't have a temp of 38.5C!!! He doesn't appear to be poorly but it red hot. He has been tugging his ear this evening so it is either an ear infection of the fecking teeth!!!!!!

EAH - my packing is not very good so I have left it to DH to sort. I just get everything out and leave it on the bed He then packs it all away neatly.

Dragonhart · 10/09/2007 09:05

Have a good holiday EAH and Wilkie {if you hve not gone already!}

We have bought a Wii and I am loving it. I normally hate computer games but this is really good fun and I have been boxing every night. It is very good to get rid of your frustrations and judging by the ammount my arms hurt good for flappy arms! Bowling is good too and I beat DH last night (DH is a geeky gamer).

Starting to give up bf this week, firstly by cutting out the afternoon feed and giving Ruth formula (she does NOT think it is a good idea but that is another story which involves alot of crying and head butting when I try to give it to her but a totally chilled baby when DH tries to!). Makes me feel a bit sad but as I have been bf/preg for the last 34months and we want to have another not too far appart, I really just want a bit of a break.

Just a quick question for ffers. When you make up say 150ml, the powder goes up to about 180/90ml. So does that mean that if she drinks it all () then she had had 150ml or 180/90ml?

Wilkie · 10/09/2007 09:20

DH - you go on how much water you put in and ignore how much it goes up to when formula is in it. HTH

Right, am offski! Temp seems to have calmed, took him to GP this morning for quick once over before we went and they couldn't find anything.

EAH - have a great holiday too.

Have a great week - see you on Friday when it's MY BIRTHDAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
