Night Ellie x

CaptainDippy · 29/06/2007 07:10

Awwwwwwww, Ellie - just read your post about 'being in Eastbourne' - Crying now (I was pretty emotional anyway tbh ....) We miss you too chick; but glad you have good family support up- there. Sorry stuff is so difficult & complicated with school systems etc ..... Call me if you wanna chat - I'm always happy to listen, even if I'm not v.knowledgeable, iyswim!!? {{{{{{hugs}}}}} Love you hon - and your precious boys. xxxx

Had a MN free night & managed to have a good chat with DH - I am just a little weepy atm - bloomin' hormones, eh!!? Lots of things buzzing round my haead & v.tired, not a good combo.

DD1 has been up since 6 - yuk - haven't seen her though as she went straight downstairs. I lay awake lisening to her for a long time, then went down to spy - she is happily playing quietly on her own, bless her. I wish I could sleep as heavily as DH, but I wake at every noise. I feel quite bad though, leaving her alone so long ...... I'll go & surprise her in a sec and wake DD2 up for her too. DH & DD3 still sleeping in our bed.

GMM - I can get you a red cup in tihs batch if you want? Email me: captain_dippy "at" yahoo "dot" co "dot" uk & we'll exchange addresses etc

Feeling v.emotional, not nice. Silly Dippy......

Love & {{{{hugs}}}} to all. xx

what thread? where?

Thanks for the tip re. Tommee Tippee breastpads, will see if I can get them online. My wee sis comes out soon and could bring some, can she get them in Boots? Ideally would love washable ones though but seems to be hard finding ones to fit all the criteria (can it really be THAT hard?!)

My neck is flippin agony, I do agree it is all my own fault for doing housework esp. with a baby strapped to my front. What was I thinking?? Oh yes, that´s right, dh needed to rest so he could play with his band after work I´d like to know how THAT works.. have told him now he can´t have the evening off to go out AND as a result also expect to have midday off (to rest up) cos it means I was 100% with the baby from 7am to 11pm

Made feeding in the night a right palava so off to stock up on ibuprofen today.

maveta · 29/06/2007 07:17

Hey Dipster.. sending lots of hugs and kisses your way, hope you manage to kick the blues as the day goes on. In general I´ve not felt too down but it is hard and I sometimes feel little blue thoughts hovering around the edges, IYKWIM?

I slept terribly a couple of nights this week and lack of sleep always makes me tearful. I sat crying over my coffee at the kitchen table and poor dh didn´t know what to do. In that moment it just felt like I was on this wheel going round and round and round and I couldn´t get off, not even for 5 mins. welcome to motherhood, right?!

You´re doing an amazing job sweetheart, keep battling through xx

JoMa · 29/06/2007 09:05

morning
Maveta - they sell them in boots, there was also a thread a while ago with an online supplier selling them much cheaper. I was in Boots yesterday and saw Lansinoh washable ones, shaped just like the disposables, maybe that's something to ask your sister for

JoMa · 29/06/2007 09:17

it was on Lesley's thread
this is the thread and these are the breastpads

morning ladies....

ellie sorry about the hassle with schools..i think we should organise a protest.. chain ourselves to the school gate!!

dippy - i have emailed you - let me know if you get it as i have had a few failures to other yahoo addresses recently.

if anyone is after a bay gym www.mothercare.com/gp/product/B000JFFB2I/sr=1-8/qid=1183107353/ref=sr_1_8/203-2162984-5161529 ?ie=UTF8&m=A2LBKNDJ2KZUGQ&n=44389031&mcb=core

This one is fab - we bought it at the weekend and C loves it - it has a mirror underneath, and the leaves move up and down... it has flashy lights and music - but its more lullaby than annoying tune - really really good.

Oooo d has jst told me to go out and get a travel cot today - but wont tell me why..

Katy44 · 29/06/2007 10:21

surprise trip away gmm?
sorry to hear about the hassle you're having with schools JoMa
Dippy, how are you feeling now? Hope you can manage to get some rest or sleep
Hi everyone else
runny, how's your FIL?
Off to the docs soon as T is quite wheezy, not sure if this is normal. During the night he seemed to be struggling to breathe, although that may have been snot related!
hes also been sick loads yesterday and today and screaming at his feeds

JoMa · 29/06/2007 10:23

he's encouraging you to shop, don't question it

sounds like you could be in for a lovely surprise this weekend

and as for the protest, they did that parents feel so strongly about it they held many protests, including one outside the building as the final decision was being made, and yet were still ignored

OP posts:
JoMa · 29/06/2007 10:25

Katy, please try not to worry so much, I know babies can be scary but you'll make yourself ill worrying about T so much! sounds like he has a cold and the doc will reassure you

Back again - DD1 at Pre-School & other 2 sleeping .... hurrah!! Thank you for your hugs & kisses, maveta - hugely appreciated! Back to you too - xoxoxoxox I am feeling a little better, still "blue bits" hovering round the edges, but I am battling through as always - not feeling so tired this AM either, which is weird as DD3 fed from 5am and DD1 was up at 6am!! Bleurgh!!

Right, went into shop & confirmed order this AM, so Doidys should be here soon (will give you a better idea of timing when I know....) Doidy Cups rock!!

How is everyone else doing??

I am going to go & see a new friend today!! She is a friend of a friend & we've sort of randomly hooked up now & again (mainly when she comes into my shop...) Well this PM I am going to her house for the 1st time!! Hope it goes ok and my terrors are not too terrible!! Have bought yummy choc chip biccies for adults & gingerbread personages for the littlies!!

Tis raining here - yuk yuk yuk!!

CaptainDippy · 29/06/2007 10:55

I think they advise not to take your LO's swimming before they've had all their injections; but I did!!!! So "go for it" is my advice ...... Little Swimmers do come in all sizes; but if you are looking for Mini reusable Swim Nappies, my shop sells 'em!! Wouldn't be able to get them to you for tomorrow though. Esp with Postal Strikes atm. I have some mini reusables in my drawer here though, could send them recorded for tomorrow?? Email me if you would like me to send them, going to the PO today, so wouldn't be any bother at all......

AngeG · 29/06/2007 11:11

Sorry guys rushing in and out I've got to go to work but saw GMM post about swimming
"GMM Info on babies and swimminghere"

Chin up Dippy...you know where I am if you want a chat

Catch up Later xxxx

nuttygirl · 29/06/2007 11:16

Morning all.

hugs to Dippy, sorry you're feeling down.

GMM - the advice used to be to wait til after the jabs (cos they used a live polio vaccine - so if another baby was there who hadn't had jabs they could catch it IYSWIM) but they no longer use the 'live' version of the jab so you can take them anytime!

CaptainDippy · 29/06/2007 11:21

Hi Ange & nutty!

On 'phone to JoMa! She's taken J swimming already.....

CaptainDippy · 29/06/2007 11:52

Where's everyone gone!!!!?

Anyway, need to get my 2 youngest ready and fed, then off to friends for the PM after picking up DD1 from Pre-School .... all go, go, go here .......

"See" you later ......
