LOL - sokl, Erin cries whever DH eats something. He never gets his tea in peace cos she just won't let him eat anything! I think if she could grab food she'd be stuffing her face

might be easier than this bottle malarky

HV coming round for 3pm to weigh her again. I doubt she's put enough weight on what with having this reflux at the mo. Am gonna ask for some ideas about how to get more feed in her (although if she bloody suggests waking her in the middle of the night I may tell her to F off )

nuttygirl · 28/06/2007 14:14

SOKL - think I might start doing that...tho I shall wait until the HV has been . I'm also thinking it might be better for the gaviscon to be added like that rather than to the hot milk...if Erin's unsettled after her feed and it's been left sitting for a little while it goes all curdley (I know I made up that word!)...can't imagine what it must get like in her tummy

Emmymummy · 28/06/2007 14:15

Thanks Dippy. Have put your cheque in the post this morning, but I think there's a bloomin' postal strike tomorrow, so things may take a while...

S had her jabs - she was screaming before they did them, and was screaming evem more afterwards, poor little soul . Have put her upstairs for a snooze, but she's fighting it. Need to get on with things, ironing, washing & generally getting organised for going away.

The thickened formula seems to be working well for her (Enfamil) as feeds are staying down and she is sleeping better at night. Have also been given some Infant Gaviscon to get into her before bfing. Why do all my babies have tummy problems?

LOL at sticking breast pads on with tit-tape at night. I wear a bra at night too and it really pees me off. No other option though, unless I want the bed to end up soaked (and eventually smelling of breast milk cheese [puke emoticon]).

Right, better get on, so much to dooooooooo!

nuttygirl · 28/06/2007 14:15

Oh and meant to say, Erin has started pushing herself to the top of her moses basket and then waking up crying cos her head is pressed against the top of it

WestCountryLass · 28/06/2007 14:18

Had the HV round today to give me some tips on DDs sleeping (or lack of) and while she was round Leo made huge rumblings from the nappy depertment and so much poo came out it was out of his nappy, all in my lap, down my leg and oozing out over the floor.

I was chatting to her scooping up the poo soup with wetwipes and kitchen roll as her student was sat there looking horrified. Hilarious!!!!

Jemma was on her best behaviour and did not call anyone a poo head so that was good...

Sexonknackeredlegs · 28/06/2007 14:20

Good luck Nutty!

Off out to town now. Need to get out as K is a bloody pita today. Crying most of the time when not asleep or feeding. I am finding it so wearing and boring [pissed off emoticon]!!

nuttygirl · 28/06/2007 14:22

WCL - PMSL @ the poo explosion...hope Erin doesn't do that (she's seems to have been trying to poo all morning!)

Emmy - do you notice the gaviscon making your LO sleepy? Erin seems to just zonk out completely every now and again...it's quite wierd.

geordiemacminx · 28/06/2007 14:33

it must be a poo day -I just walked to the garage to pick car up, took charlie out of pram and realised his white baby gro had a huge poo stain all down the bum and legs

WestCountryLass · 28/06/2007 14:34

Do you think with the Gaviscon, maybe because they are not pukey and having tummy aches theya re feeding and so are jsut sleeping better? Not sure if it is the medication (mine never had it so really do not know).

WestCountryLass · 28/06/2007 14:37

GMM, oh no, it is horrible when it happens and you are out Did you have a spare suit? I am such a lapsidaisical Mum of 3 I never have spares and look like the worlds most dimmest mother on those occasions! Never forget my friend taking her 2nd born to the park and forgetting a spare nappy and suit and he pooed everywhere, the first we noticed was when he had it in his hair We didn't even have a packet of wetwipes between us and ended up rinsing him off in the park toilets and wrapping him a coat. Talk about the first child being like porceliene and the rest being tupperware....

geordiemacminx · 28/06/2007 14:42

nope...no changing bag...

lucikly the garage is only a mile away from homeb so i put him back in car seat and came home... bad mummy!!!

bumble75 · 28/06/2007 15:00

Hi everyone!

Haven't had time to read thread yet and L about to wake up so just going to quickly post, hope everyone is really well, hugs to everyone.

Had a fab time at the Scottish meet up this week, massive thanks to Luce Wheel for being a fabulous hostess, was lovely to meet everyone and their babies and not so little babies - E & B were adorable! WO was right, L was sad to be leaving after having such a lovely time.

I've finally managed to get around to adding a pic of her smiling to my profile.

Hungry baby calls, will hopefully catch up more tonight....

x

elkiedee · 28/06/2007 15:23

SOKL, I don't think you need worry too much about taking baby to classes. a lot of the provision is aimed at giving mums a chance to get out of the house anyway, and if you don't feel that that's essential. If I do take Danny to anything at some point I'm sure it will be for essentially selfish reasons that it appeals to me - baby massage and swimming do sound fun.

pinions, I've only made one tube journey - well two, there and back - and that was with dp to carry the baby, in a sling given to us by my cousin. I used the bus on Friday to get to London Bridge, that's why it took so long.

need to exert myself to make a couple of phone calls before D wakes up again.

leakyR · 28/06/2007 15:34

Bumble -how cute is your smiley dd?! Gorgeous! Makes me feel broody looking at other people's lovely babies.

George stops smiling as soon as I point a camera at him.

This mil thread is both and funny. Made me feel quite lucky.

nuttygirl · 28/06/2007 15:40

Well HV has been. Erin has put on 6oz in 6 days so very happy, she now seems to be following a line...hope it continues.

WCL - it's not that she's sleeping better but she'll just suddenly fall asleep...like she might be crying then stop, shut her eyes and be fast asleep.

Oh and just before the HV arrived I changed her nappy but she did a big wee while it was off all over the changing mat, her clothes, the carpet and my leg so room was in a bit of a state when the HV arrived ...she picked up the REALLY WET nappy (I'd used it to mop up the pee with) ... I should probably have asked her if she wanted to use the bathroom to wash her hands

Kneehighinnappies · 28/06/2007 15:47

Just back from the Dr's had my lot injected, lovely lovely lovely.
I made dh hold them all I can't bring myself to do it to them.
dd1 and lola are asleep z is sitting here itching to say hello to you all, he is flapping around like a goodun.
I will let him have a little type, see if he can spell any better than his mummy.
ryeccrkcrk c,k 58oooooooooooot

ummmmmmm couldn't have said it better myself.

they are 13 weeks this week, i gave up counting in weeks when they got to 2 months, i kept forgetting!

lola weighs 9lbs 7oz
z is a little porker his weight's 10lb 14oz
amazing how much he has put on recently they were nearly the same up till this time.

geordiemacminx · 28/06/2007 15:54

FINALLY got C off to sleep.... he's been grouchy all afternoon cos he is so tired!!

Pesha, thanks for the BLW links - have book marked them as it looks great - looking forward to it a lot!!!

Have got a smiley baby pic on my profile now if anyone wants to have a look?

Not sure whether this is just common sense and I am stating the obvious but my next door neighbour who is a district nurse told me to feed Charlie just before HV arrives - as simple as it sounds, if you give him 5oz he will actually be 5oz heavier? I know its kind of cheating but hey if it keeps hv off your back

CD - once you have next lot of cups in can I have a red one please?

KHIN - dp's dd and ds still wont have anything to do with any of us - it was dd's 16th a few weeks ago - sent card with cheque from us, and a card from Charlie with a couple of pictures of him in it but it wasnt even acknowledged.... think dp is more settled about it now - he's accepted that he has done his best, made all the effort, if at 16 she doesnt want anything to do with him then he cant make her.. hopefully in years to come she will look back and regret her horrible behaviour

Suffering from night time leaky boobs here too - totally unerstand what you mean maveta about pads slipping when you lie on your side... no real ideas, although I have found that making straps as tight as possible helps... might even try a couple of pads of a night. Have to say having tried jonnsons, tomy tippee, avent and boots own I really prefer jonnsons breast pads!!

Right cant remember anything else - gonna tackle this mountain of ironing that stands before me!!!

geordiemacminx · 28/06/2007 16:42

{{{helllloooooooo....is there anyone there}}}

nuttygirl · 28/06/2007 16:50

Oh GMM - charlie's a real cutie.

We must have the most gorgeous babies ever ...they're all lovely.

maveta · 28/06/2007 16:59

Hey GMM - Charlie´s a little sweetie!

I think I´ve done something to my neck, possibly caused by vacuuming with Noah in the baby bjorn at the same time. Ow ow ow ow, it´s really stiff/sore.

That´s the baby bjorn reached it´s life expectancy then...

geordiemacminx · 28/06/2007 17:01

Thought I had killed the thread there with my mammouth post!!!

geordiemacminx · 28/06/2007 17:17

Katy44 · 28/06/2007 17:31

Well, I'm still alive!

zazas · 28/06/2007 17:40

Hello - a few mins of peace. DP has taken boys to judo/ girls upstairs playing with Sylvanians and baby in moses basket sleeping. Dinner in oven and a sneakly small glass of wine by my side - just to steady me through the next 2 hours

Love the dress KH but even though we are getting married - second time round will mean a less formal deal me thinks!

There goes my peace baby awake after oh all of 3 mins!

I do baby massage / yoga with S - I love it as the other Mothers are lovely - S grins and bares it

Now the girls haved snuck downstairs and laid all the throws and cushions out all over the floor / sofas - and we having people coming to view the house in 30 mins!

Teach me for reading mn - should stick to my post 11pm slot

oooggs · 28/06/2007 18:07

wow have you lot got anything done today??????

I have had ds1 home from nursery again, but have also had three dry days in a row - I hope that this is it, the washing machine needs a slight (only slight) rest

SOKL - oh to only make 5 bottles!!!

Just about to start bedtime routine as dh working - will be back later ............
