Crumbs - definitely leave it Chloe, or it will probably turn green in the sun, pool etc.

at Febreeze Friz - thank goodness she's ok. Also at why anyone buys Febreeze - I got some when it first came out, and it proved to be about as much use as a chocolate teapot.

Am I being unreasonable to expect that a flight arrivals website would tell me that an hour long flight was going to be more than an hour late before it gets to the point that it's already 25mins late ?

Only did 4 feeds today as friends here to help distract. Unfortunately the first one was 3 hours long, the second one was an hour, the third half an hour and the bedtime one about 15 mins.

ChasingSquirrels · 31/05/2007 20:40

ekk at the Febreeze,
lol at the image of purple dye running down back,
OMG at a 3-hr feed - I would be out the WHOLE time csws - we seem to be back on track after our hols, 2 feeds yesterday (plus a v quick top up at 5pm at a friends when I should really have been home getting tea) and 3 today. Morning and bedtime, plus mid-afternoon to get him to sleep, actually got him to sleep this morning without one, and then he slept for 90 mins - unheard of.
Gave him a haircut last weekend - no 8 all over and ds1 had a no 5, normally give him a 3 - a 5 looks so much better.

2boysmacca · 31/05/2007 20:59

friz

csws , you must have the patience of a saint!

Did the gym this morning, it raiend all afternoon so I downloaded a few tunes and danced all afternoon. Ds2 loves dancing and ds loves to sing!

Tomorrow, I am hitting the gyma gain int he morning, then I promised ds I'd take him for a coffee (read cake) and int he afternoon I have a guy coming to quote to replace the front door panes of glass. Without wishing to offend anyone, the previous occupants replaced all the original sash windows with UPVC glazing (why, why why?) but to add insult to injury, they then put in tulip/rose stained glass windows. I loathe them One quote has come back with £280 + VAT wtf? for 2 panes of glass!!!

KelBelle · 31/05/2007 21:04

at febreeze too!!! I had some in the cupboard that I tried to use this week and it didnt do a lot!!! DS threw up all over his carpet and no matter how much it was washed his room still smells of sick!!! Any ideas?

I ordered DS a new sleeping bag the other day, have a look. I really like these ones and not bad prices either.

I've been really tired this week hence not posting so often. I was actually in bed by 10pm last night which is a one off for me I can tell you! I'm probably going to try and have another early one tonight.

2boysmacca · 31/05/2007 21:07

Yes, a bowl of white vinegar in the room around the offending smell (don't pour over the carpet, keep it int e bowl). It's great to take away smells like soured milk and vomit.

CantSleepWontSleep · 31/05/2007 21:15

url doesn't work Kel, even when I copy and paste it in.

macca - did it really rain by you? We must have just missed it - had lovely sunshine late afternoon so we went for a walk with just t shirts (and bottom halves of course ).

Glad you've got your feeds sorted CS. Now if dd could just follow in T's footsteps....

Forgot to say, I got interflora from dh today as a further apology for my post office visit yesterday!

Phoenix · 31/05/2007 21:17

Oooo i like the look of them Kel. They're cheaper than grobags. I need another couple of 1 tog ones so i might get some

Phoenix · 31/05/2007 21:18

ChasingSquirrels · 31/05/2007 21:20

bags look a good price.
well done mrcsws on the interflora.

CantSleepWontSleep · 31/05/2007 21:22

Thanks ladies . PG - if you need 'another couple' of sleeping bags, how many do you actually have?

Phoenix · 31/05/2007 21:26

Well i have 3 2.5tog but only 1 1tog so i want another 1or2 1 tog ones so i don't have to wash and get dry in the same day cos i'm lazy

Phoenix · 31/05/2007 21:26

And i like different pattern ones

ChasingSquirrels · 31/05/2007 21:30

I have 2 x 2.5 tog (6-18mo) although they were ds1's and are pretty well worn, then 1 x 1 tog (18-36mo), plus 2 x nothing tog that are home made from brushed cotton baby sheets - probably 0.5 tog great for summer.

ChasingSquirrels · 31/05/2007 21:31

on and a fleecy one that has arms and you can zip into legs for car seat use - that one is lovely, hardly ever used it though as we dont go out

CantSleepWontSleep · 31/05/2007 21:33

But surely 2 of any given tog is enough, rather than 3? Then you can wash one once you start using the other, and dry it the next day if you like, all before you need it. How often does Lew get a clean one?

Flame · 31/05/2007 21:33

Scrub the carpet with bicarb. DS hates sleeping bags - he likes the weight of oodles of blankets

OP posts:
ChasingSquirrels · 31/05/2007 21:35

usually 2 is enough, only had the first 3 with ds1, and different togs and sizes, so we had 2 then when he went into the summer one at 20mo we only had that one. but there are occasions when 3 would be good - when they are sick and have thrown up all over their bedding for the 2nd time....

Phoenix · 31/05/2007 21:40

I change his grobag every couple of days or occasionally after a week.

I've only got 3 x 2.5 togs cos i couldn't choose between 2 of the patterns

But 1 x 1 tog isn't enough

CantSleepWontSleep · 31/05/2007 21:41

Yes I totally agree that having 3 is good idea. When dd was sick we got through 3 and the same number of sheets, but if you have 2 tog types, then you have a third as a back up, even if it's a bit hotter/colder than you would ideally like. Where's pg gone - I'm trying to save her some money and stop her buying things she doesn't need!

ChasingSquirrels · 31/05/2007 21:42

1 x 1 tog wasn't enough, we ended up using the 2.5's aswell, but I then ditched them and gave him a duvet pretty quickly when it got warm on the basis that if he kicked it off, it was warm and it didn't matter. Then after the summer he was used to the duvet and we never went back to grobags. not sure what to do with T this summer, as he is 4mo younger than ds1 was at the same time of year.

CantSleepWontSleep · 31/05/2007 21:42

Ah, X posted! You have my blessing to buy one more 1 tog one. Do you really change them every couple of days, or are you just saying that not to look slack? I'm totally slack - dd easily goes a week or more in one bag, unless we spill medicine or something on it.

Phoenix · 31/05/2007 21:43

csws. You'll never stop me buying things i don't need lol i'm useless so is dh.

ChasingSquirrels · 31/05/2007 21:44

lol, I'm totally slack aswell, at least a week, if not two here.

Phoenix · 31/05/2007 21:44

Ok i'm just saying it I normally change it on a Friday/Saturday when he stays at my mums.
