saralou · 30/06/2007 12:08

wow la, what a post!!!! glad taro's doing well though!!! ryan just got his bottom teeth... did lots of the crying waking in the night thing... hopefully taro will get his soon, it's not nice when you can see it hurts them!!

charlee... try not to worry! (oh how easy that is to say) ds1 is like this (ish) he's always needed encouraging to play and will hold back till he's invited in! i would say he has 1 proper friend, his girlfriend olivia (she's very pretty and they have my approval ) their terrible when together, but on the days she's not in he kind of goes around everyone.. it broke my heart when i had to sign of his development folder when he moved into his new group and it was saying stuff like very timid, needs encouragement (quite shocking too, nursery staff always say he's been fine today.. no indication before i read this). i just think thats how owen is supposed to be and it's traits from family members i can recognise too (quite similar to my dad and my sis)

mygirllollipop · 30/06/2007 13:58

Charlee - honestly it sounds just like kids.
Can I put a bet on that Amelie will be the last in this group to get a tooth?

AlfieJacksmummy · 30/06/2007 17:14

Sad Sad Sad

saralou · 30/06/2007 18:04

whats u ajm, why you looka so sad??

saralou · 30/06/2007 18:05

up

AlfieJacksmummy · 30/06/2007 21:46

Sorry could'nt be bothered to write anything earlier, feeling royally p**sed off today. It seems the man who was telling me he was going to buy my place and let us stay was a big fat time waster and is not going to buy it in a million years, it was like rubbing salt in a wound getting all that false hope after just getting my head around the whole moving thing.
My car is buggered and been trying to fix it myself which is a joke as im useless, with the help of my dad over the phone, bless him!
We are totally skint, litterally not a penny to our name so had to go scrounging to family, I hate doing that!
and to top it all (excuse the tmi) im bleeding like a stuck pig! Im so fed up with it, I had endometriosis before ds and was told that being pg would solve all that (yeah right!) since having him I bleed constantly for 10 weeks after then didnt have a period for 7 months so couldn't start taking my pill for ages and now Im bleeding so heavy I cant even go out anywhere, even though im taking the pill. my Mum said she was the same after having me and had a d&c and eventually a hysterectomy to sort the problem, so that didnt make me feel better.
Sorry for the moan, bet you wish you hadnt asked!

saralou · 01/07/2007 12:28

yup, sooooooo wish i hadn't asked only kidding, sorry chick!

can't really offer much on the moving/car stuff, just some hugs ((((( ))))) and sympathy...

gynae nurse hat is on today, get yourself down to your gp's for a referral to gynae. hysterectomy is not your only option, but the bleeding can be controlled with meds or minor operations.... the theory behind endometriosis getting better is that your body is rested for 9 months without periods... some will improve, but if your endometriosis is bad it may not... did they stage it for you??? also endometriosis may not be causing the bleeding so get it checked!

AlfieJacksmummy · 01/07/2007 13:03

Oh someone to offer advice! Forgot you know all about these things. Ok i'm gonna pick your brain now (sorry).
I had a laproscopy about 3 years ago nad the doc said he wasn't expecting to find anything or not alot anyway but turns out there was loads all above and by my womb and ovaries mainly and then I was due to go nd have it all burnt off on the day I found out I was pg so obviously didnt have it done but they said that being pg is the best thing for endo anyway. I think it was the second highest grade (is it 1 2 3?)But before I was pg my periods were bad, heavy and could last for a few months at a time and then I didnt have one for a year!!
I went to the docs a few times about this problem but she keeps sending me off and telling me not too worry, but its ok for her I cant leave the house cos it even goes through 3 night time maxi pads!!
Sorry again

saralou · 01/07/2007 15:42

bare with me i'm working today!!!

you need a referral to gynae for menorrhagia... thats heavy/long periods to you and me! the only way to know if you still have endometriosis is to have a repeat laparoscopy..

meds can be used to control the endometriosis, or a minor procedure to get rid of adhesions... hth

AlfieJacksmummy · 01/07/2007 15:47

Ahh thanks Saralou - sorry for bothering you whilst at work but appreciate the advice, will make an appoint when ds gets weighed on Tues and if she fobs me off again I will wait till we move and see a new doc and hope they are more helpful. x

saralou · 01/07/2007 19:25

gp's are crap at the best of times... don't let her fob you off!!

SleeplessInTheStaceym11House · 01/07/2007 21:50

hello everyone!!!!!

charlee, dd is just like jack (oh and he is as cute as a button and a lovely little boy dont you worry about that!!) she doesnt 'play' with children! we go to young mums on mondays and all the other kids play together (from around age 2-4 and dd is 2.8) and she sits out and plays alone.....its just her, she doesnt like kids that cant have a proper conversation with her, she doesnt like lots of kids in one go, she doesnt like rough kids.....etc.....etc.... i think a lot of it is just the age..dont worry they'll get better!!!

AJ sorry about the d*ckhead with your house, how horrible for you! hopefully someone nice will come along and let you stay!!

LA, we have 2 teeth, bottom ones, hes showing signs of more but they've not appeared yet!! as for weaning, my dd grew up on jars and packet food, hasnt done her any harm! ds gets home cooked whatever we'r having, hates purree and makes cute moneky noises if im not feeding him quick enough (liek while im trying to feed myself!!)

I Have an announcement............................

We have a CRAWLING baby!!!!!!!!!

oh god my life is turning upside down. i cant turn my back for one minute.....i did the washing up the other day kept checking keiran just finished off and came back to find he'd got the kitten (not even 9weeks old) by the scruff and was bashing him from side to side on the floor! he's tried heading for the litter tray.....hes tried getting daddies x-box......im never gunna rest again am i????

anyone else crawling? please say its not just my son getting into absolutely everything!!!

AlfieJacksmummy · 01/07/2007 22:15

ds has been up on all fours for about a week but actually managed 2 movements forward today but he usually drags himself around which is worse cos you look at him and think he isnt moving and the next minute he is over the other side of the room.

We have no teeth yet but lots of chewing and dribbling so maybe soon?

podglet · 02/07/2007 07:34

Morning all,

AJM, so sorry about the house - what a horrid man to get your hopes up like that. I really hope something comes up for you soon.

Hi LA, glad you are back - missed you! Hope you are doing ok and LO too. DS has 4 teeth now, 2 top and 2 bottom and loves clashing and grating them together - ewww!

Stacey - DS now commando crawls and can go a fair distance when he thinks I'm not looking. He is also pulling himself up to try and stand - eeek!

Hi to everyone else, hope you all had lovely weekends

mygirllollipop · 02/07/2007 08:47

Yup Stacey - DD4 been crawling for a while now about a month, luckly house still babyproof from DD3!
AJM - def get seen by a GP.

SleeplessInTheStaceym11House · 02/07/2007 08:50

AJ, ds was on his knees for around 2 weeks before he worked out what to do! lol, he used to scream coz he was so frustrated!!

might not be keeping the kitten keep finding dd with her hands orund its throat, poor thing!!!!

mygirllollipop · 02/07/2007 09:00

Oh yeah DD4 was on her knees rocking for a while before she realised there were a few more things to do to get crawling! Then she went backwards for another while. DD3, however, rocked for months and just couldn't be bothered to crawl, why would you want to when you have two big sisters to cater for your every whim?! Then once she did crawl and realise it could get her places much faster, she was away! She was the same with walking too although she done that at 12 months.

saralou · 02/07/2007 09:09

morning...

stacey, ryan does caterpiller crawling, he's pretty nifty! can mostly be found harrasing woof when he's trying to have a kip out in the hall! try taking out the handsets and unplugging the x-box, ds1 used to like playing with dp's xbox and this deterred him slightly (wasn't so much fun when it's a black box that doesn't do anything!)

ryan has apparently been renamed by ds1... his new name is................. fish! why fish i do not know, but he keeps calling him it! when you point at ryan and say 'whos this' he says fish! its quite cute really!

i bought them one of those activity tunnel things, i'm exhausted watchng those two going round in circles going through this thing!

SleeplessInTheStaceym11House · 02/07/2007 09:23

awww what a lovely ifsh

saralou i meant to tell you before, i think you're my mate pretneding (her lo is just 10weeks old) as she has a 2yo owen and a 10 week ryan, how odd!!

i gotta go got cookery class at young mums today, cookign for your family for under a fiver....i can manage that anyway but thought i might get some more meal ideas.....if there's anything good il post it on ehre for you all!

saralou · 02/07/2007 09:39

well they are lovely names!!!! your friend has made good choices!!

NatalieJane · 02/07/2007 11:06

Morning all

Not good in our house today, DS1 is poorly, George is coming down with it, I am shattered from staying up with DS1 all night, and our phone has decided enough is enough and has given up the ghost.

So I thought I'd come and cheer myself up on mumsnet for a while before we get back into bed..!!

Spooky name things... I have four sisters, our names are (in age order) Tracey, Amanda, Kelly, Natalie (me!!!) and Samantha, I went to infant school with a girl called Natalie who had three sisters, Tracey, Amanda, and Samantha, her mum was pregnant, had the baby and called it Kelly Nobody could believe it!!

George is doing the rocking on all fours thing, but he can get around fairly slowly to where he wants to be, he is an expert at going round in circles on his belly. And teething, he keeps getting sore gums and you can feel the teeth there ready to push through, but then it goes again, just to get sore again in a few days, but he has been an angel with it, he has only really cried with it once, half a spoon of calpol later he was back to himself.

Right DS1 is feeling sick again so I am off, have a good day everyone xxx

AlfieJacksmummy · 02/07/2007 21:10

Someone really has it in for us . Just when things were starting to look a bit better, the estate agent rang and said our refrences dont look good (we've never had a problem before) and so they will probably say no. That means we have nowhere to live, no money and are down £260.
I cant believe all this b Hope everyone else is having a better time - Some bday Im going to have!!

SleeplessInTheStaceym11House · 02/07/2007 23:32

oh AJ i cant believe something else has gone wrong....i really ope htings get better for you! [hug]

well ds is wel and truely teething and its a nightmare, im off to bed, early start tomo! nun night

Charlee · 03/07/2007 09:07

Morning everyone

Stacey thanks for saying such nice things about Jack and it's right back at ya about your 2 little angels! I have his parent - teacher meeting tommorrow but i don't think there is a problem i think im just worrying over nothing.

AJ - I am so sorry to hear your having a rough time again, it always seems like ban news comes in 3's so hopefully thats it for you now, i have no suggestions to help you but i am here if you need a chat becuase i of all people know how draining life can be when everything goes wrong all at once.
Huggs to you honey.

NJ - I hope your feeling better in your house!

I hope everyone else is doing ok what with teething, crawling babies and everything!

I had my first yoga class last night! My mum saw that i was begining to get affected by stress so she booked me in for a yoga course and it was ssssssssoooooooooo relaxing! I really enjoyed it.

Harry is teething and has a cold at the moment which could be related i suppose but he's not the happiest of bunnies. He is so so desperate to crawl he gets on all fours and rocks then moves his legs as if crawling but his hands stay still! He can go backwards though
He has been pulling himself up on the t.v cabnet though which was nice to watch but no si fun when he starts putting bits of snadwich in the video player!
He has his 8 month check this week but im sure everything is fine with my handsome little fella.
He already has a little girlfriend! My friend has a little girl a few weeks younger than him and they sit facing each other and Harry strokes her and kisses (well gums) her!

Jacks doing well, he has a bit of a cough i will have to watch since my sistes brood all have bronchitus so it wil not be good ata ll for Jack to catch it!
He has his sports day at school next wekk, bless him he can't run any faster than he walks so i don't think he will be winning many races but he's really excited about trying! I will go and cheer him on and do my emarrasing mummy bit!

DP has been off work for a few days with bad stomach ache the dr has said he might have irritable bowel syndrome which i now is not sice becuase my dad has it and he a big hard man and it makes him cry and poor DP is only tiny! But he is feeling better today so hopefully it has worn off for a while.

Anyway thats me caught up so i will post soon.

Hugs to all xxx

mygirllollipop · 03/07/2007 09:10

AJM - similar thing happened to us, we had no credit history so for some reason they didn't want us as tennants (because saving up and paying cash for something is sooo unreliable obviously, and your landlord is giving you credit too obviously????) so we got my mam to stand guarantor and there was no problem. Ridiculous really that we were a son-to-be family of 5 yet we still had to ask mammy to help, it what it's like these days.
I should really get round to getting DD4 weighed. I want her in the new car seat, she is supposed to be 20lb but I think is only 18lb. Problem is she's really long and her feet go half way up the car's seat, which doesn't help her already messed up feet! We put the old one in the spare room so DD3 doesn't want it back!
