Hello Ladies.
Found a house today!! It is a bit further out than we wanted but it is a 2 bedroom terraced house and we can afford it and the best bit is we can take the cats im so that I dont have to rehome them and it is a nice cul-de-sac so nice and quiet. As long as we pass the administration process (which is £260 and you dont get back if you dont) then it is ours but should be ok.
MyGirl - my friends baby used to do that and smear it on the walls so dont feel too bad.
Sara - aorry you feel rough make dp do everything!
Podglet - good luck with the sleeping thing
NJ - have you looked on ebay to see if there are some for sale to see how much they are going for roughly or put it on the for sale thread and ask for offers, you dont have to accept them.

Charlee · 27/06/2007 19:06

Hellooooooooo ladies!

I haven't posted in a few days so i thought i would pop in and say howdy.

Jack had the cf clinic today it went really well! His chest is sounding as clear as a bell!

The are going to take his tonsils out as he's having problems swallowing which will mean another hospital trip but it will help him and plus its an uber long wating list o it will be a while yet anyway!

Harry has been a bit grumpy today, not sure why i think its his teeth or lack of!
But thet are both tucked into bed ow sleeping soundly.

Jacks Dr is writing a letter to the council to bump us up in the priority stakes a bit he's a top specialist so it should have some oompfh on our banding were in D at the moment it should put us into A which is who gets housed first.

Anyway off now speak soon. xxx

SleeplessInTheStaceym11House · 28/06/2007 09:18

hi everyone!!!

NJ i have no idea about prices, looking on ebay is a good idea!

mygirl, sorry but couldnt help ing abotu dd4!! how did she get to her poo????

i think dd is gunna seriously hurt our kitten one day, she picks him up round his neck!!!! poor thing!! he doesnt complain tho, strange cat!!!

i have absolutely no energy this week, feel so sore when i get out of bed in the morning!! got to walk to town later to get the fruit and veg but that is all im doing today, we're not even dressed yet!!! oh well its not the end of the world!!!

AlfieJacksmummy · 28/06/2007 09:28

Is not being dressed at this time a bad thing? Opps im hardly ever dressed this early. Me and ds always have a big snuggle in bed after dp has gone to work and watch the tele so we are still in pjs
Although we have an excuse today Ive been busy trying to sort this house out, thought of loads of questions last night bet the agent loved talking to me this morning! Only prob is that its a bit more rent (which would be ok) but the council tax is higher too and we get an extra charge cos its a parish (wtf!!!). I also needed to check if there was a phone line, what would I do without my computer!!!!!!
Anyway it should be lk just will have to watch the pennies elsewhere I suppose.
Hope your all ok

SleeplessInTheStaceym11House · 28/06/2007 09:46

AJM i was exactly the same with dd, very rarely up before 9!! but with ds obv i have to get p with her and have to do stuff and i was supposed to be out delivering today but managed to convince dh to help me at the weekend as i felt so sore this morning!

AlfieJacksmummy · 28/06/2007 09:55

Ive just decided not to have any more babies then , only joking. I am lucky to be able to chill in the morning cos the rest of the day till about 10 at night is usually a nightmare!!
Sorry your not feeling great Stacey hope you feel better soon x

SleeplessInTheStaceym11House · 28/06/2007 10:03

not too bad just my muscles trying to work out why iv been doing so much walking! lol

it is a lot harder with 2 but obviously they'r worth it!!!

NatalieJane · 28/06/2007 10:18

Morning all

Stacey the best thing is to keep going else when you do the walking at the weekend you will be all achy again - sorry if that isn't what you wanted to hear!!
AJM, really pleased for you Don't suppose you want another cat do you?!!!
Charlee, glad Jack is doing so well.

Thanks for the ideas on how to find out how much to sell it for. There isn't any others on eBay with all of the kit with it so can't really get an idea from there, I think I am going to put a reserve on for £200 and see what happens. I was really pissed off last night, I spent about an hour and a half writting out the auction page, went into mega detail, pulled info off other websites about it all and stuff, got to the bit about putting a reserve price in and the bloody computer froze and I lost the lot!! So now I have to do it all over again.

Oh well, it's pay day tomorrow LOL Soon puts a smile on my face!!

SleeplessInTheStaceym11House · 28/06/2007 10:27

i know NJ i know but i dont want to!!! (in whingy whiny 2yo voice!!!)

i am walking into town later so thats just ove a mile each way so should be alright, just dont wanna do all the delivering on my own as it's loads of hills and thats why my legs ache and if i do it on my own i have to go up down up down up down, whereas if its me and dh we do one side each so not as mcuh up downing!!!

Debz99 · 28/06/2007 12:08

Hello ladies !

Just a quick update my DS can now clap his hands and say nan !

So, he gives cuddles and kisses, says dad, says nan and when he feels like it says hello, claps his hands and is trying to walk ..... but .... he WILL NOT say mum Grrrrrr...................

saralou · 28/06/2007 14:03

but stacey, just think of how fit your going to be with all that walking!!!

debz... clever little man!

AlfieJacksmummy · 28/06/2007 19:15

Didnt notice but when I changed my name I lost my mumsnet page so just re-did it and put some piccies on (the same ones I think)

Debz - how old is lo?

SleeplessInTheStaceym11House · 28/06/2007 19:25

debz's lo shares a bday with my keiran, 4th nov iirc, so nearly 8 months!! my little k isnt even bothered by talking!!!

Charlee · 28/06/2007 20:08

Wow talking babies thats early! Harry says dad dad dad to everybody but that about it!

podglet · 28/06/2007 20:32

AJM those pics are so cute I love that hair

Debz99, what a clever little boy you have. DS babbles a lot and does teh Da da da thing but no distinguishable words yet.

Stacey, hope the legs feel better after a days rest.

Charlee - good to hear that DS1's lungs are nice and clear - must be reassuring.

Debz99 · 29/06/2007 08:37

DS is nearly 8 months ... and very poorly with a heavy cold I had him propped up on pillows under the sheet of his cot to help him breath !

AlfieJacksmummy · 29/06/2007 09:07

Ahh Debz, poor baba. Hope he gets better soon. Have you used Medised its great for unblocking their noses and is just like Calpol, I found it a Godsend when ds had a blocked nose. Also an old bib tied to the end of the cot with olbas oil on works well. (sorry if my advice isnt needed)

mygirllollipop · 29/06/2007 09:12

DD4 wouldn't stop clpping last night and insisted on sleeping on her front which makes feeding her in my bed awkward, she doesn't normally want to sleep on her front.
She does say stuff but I'm not sure she means to, mamamama, dadada, nanana, DD3 said night night to her and she was copying that for a bit, she mostly just sings away!
DD3 followed on from DD4's crap eating incident (she didn't have a nappy on), DD3 filled up the washing machine with soap power then licked some and said it was 'nice'!
Best get back to them before something else happens!

AlfieJacksmummy · 29/06/2007 09:23

Mygirl can we have a warning next time the subject of poo eating comes up I was eating my toast (luckily I didnt choose marmite today)
Alfie says mum but I dont think he means too he sort of mmmm's but then open and closes his mouth so its like mumumumum

SleeplessInTheStaceym11House · 29/06/2007 09:28

oh mygirl, i see no nappy makes crap eating easy! sorry its not funny when its happening!

when i was about your dd3s age apparantly mum walked into the kitchen to find me dipping my finger in the washing powder and eating it.........!

well ds has mastered crawling! he finally has that art of moving forwards! oh god my life is gunna be hell soon!!!! the poor kitten is gunna know about it too!

debz sorry to hear you lo isnt well, its horrible when they'r ill! hope he gets better soon, i ued to put vicks vapo rub on the back of dds sleepsuits when she was bad!

its my mums bday today so we going out for lunch which will be lovely and my auntie is coming and bringing her new foster child who's dds age so hopefully they'll keep each other entertained! not that shes bad while we're out but it might be nice to not have to keep saying turn round people dont want you staring at them (when shes watching other children eat!)

ho hum should start getting ready really!!!

saralou · 29/06/2007 09:37

morning... i'm child free again... it's rather pleasent!!

my plan for the day is to go tesco's then cook lots of food for them boys. been finding it hard to cook dinner since ryan came along thanks to his persistent screaming, but last night was the final straw, i wanted to shake him very very hard and scream back at him... but i didn't.. instead i sat in the corner and sobbed myself, not feeling well made it so hard! so i've made a plan of attack!!

anyway, happy birthday staceys mum... hope you enjoy your day out... without getting too wet!!

debz, i hope your little man feels better soon, make sure he drinks well... when my ryan had a cold last week he ended up dehydrated because he would't take anything! medised was good for helping him sleep too!

Debz99 · 29/06/2007 11:08

Thanks Ladies ... medised it is then, not heard of it myself was going to get some karvol at lunch time !

Charlee · 29/06/2007 14:47

Stacey i hope your mum has a nice birthday say happy birthday from our brood!

I have had a tearfull day today, first off i saw my kind of brother who we fostered for yonks then the social services moved him as he wouldn't stop getting into trouble with the police, anyway we bumped into hom sfter not seeing him for 2 yrs and he was a right state clearly on drugs he looked ill snd generally really roungh so that made me sad.

Then i have the worries about jack playschool its here im not sure im being silly or not? None of you except Stacey have met him but i think he's is an adorable little boy,e ven if i am being a bit bias?

AlfieJacksmummy · 29/06/2007 16:44

Ahh Charlee, sorry your feeling down today, and sorry to hear ds is not doing well at school, im sure its nothing and next weekl he will be really popular, school is so fickle, I remember my nephew was very shy at school when he was younger (not sure how old your ds is) but now he is 10 he plays for the school footie team and everyone thinks he is great and he gets special treats for being one of the cleverist in his year, im sure its heartbreaking for you but he will be ok.

Im in a bit of a turmoil again now, we were all set on moving although we dont know how we are going to afford it all but someone cane to look at the place we are now and he is buying to rent and said if he does decide to buy it and gets it we can stay because we have kept it lovely, now Im really getting all my hopes up that we can stay and not worry anymore but will probably come to nothing I just want the phone to ring and say he has brought it, the stress is really getting to me, everyone keeps saying how much weight ive lost and how ill I look

LadyAnne1stTimeMum · 30/06/2007 11:02

Hi all - found you again - I'm sorry I have been keeping in touch - I've been having a few 'problems' since going back to work (full time next week - boo hoo) but have just started counselling - I was referred back in January, but it's only just come through. It's pretty ad hoc - but usually on a Thursday afternoon - so at least I get a bit of time to myself. Taro is doing well - can sit, roll, babble and is working on moving from one level to another at the moment, he has a really bad cough - but this has not dampened his cheeky style. He likes to drink from his beaker unaided (usually gets it upside down though), when not being BF he prefers to drink milk from an open cup (usually Daddy's) and will sign 'milk' and 'more'. Has anyone else had a go at baby signing? They use it at the nursery. Taro really enjoys nursery and they are really good at letting me BF - the other children are quite a bit older than Taro but love him to pieces - I always get a 'bye bye Taro's Mummy' as I leave the nursery to return to my desk after a BF. How are the other 'returnees' to work doing? (Sorry I haven't had chance to read through everything). Re:Weaning - as you may know I started giving Taro a few solids at the end of April - it just felt right. It's now got to the point where I found it a bit tricky to keep up with his appetite - I've had to resort to pre-prepared stuff as I don't have time to do full home cooking - I compromise by cooking food for myself and DP (soon to be DH) without salt or anything that Taro can't eat - DP finds it a bit boring - but he can add the chilli sauce or whatever after - I can then whiz up a portion for Taro (although I have to do this when he's occupied in the other room as Taz hates the blender with a passion and usually screams the place down). My Fish pie is pretty popular at the moment - I make it with spinach - although I did overdo it with the spinach last time and my fish pie was rather green - he still ate it. I'm glad that Taz is over 6 months now as he can eat so much more - I often give him a piece of toast the 'chew' (no teeth yet) and he absolutely loves organic rice cakes (a godsend) of which I take everywhere now in case we are delayed. Re:teething - any new teeth yet? (sorry again if it has been mentioned) maybe we should had first tooth info to our stats? Taro is showing signs of teething again and you can see them just below the gumline - he's been waking up crying in pain recently - desperate to bite on something - so hopefully not much longer. Soz for going on so long, but I want to keep in the loop so the speak - I just don't get much time these days...
Love to all
