Sara, I bloody clean the thing, so it is mine!!

AJ have a good holiday, sounds like you could do with the break!

Well I am all lovely golden brown, I have used that St. Tropez everyday tanning stuff, very impressed

Have just had a word with DS1's teacher, won't go into it because it is long, but GRRRRRRRRRRR. Why can't they do something about the little shit that is hurting the other kids, including DS1? GRRRRRRRRRRR!

KaybeeandZak · 17/06/2007 21:49

wow very quiet here this weekend!

Just wondering if anyone can help me with regards to food, I'm just not too sure how much I should be feeding ds. He has breakfast lunch and dinner, but doesnt seem interested in dropping a bottle (he's currently on 4 bottles or 7 oz). .... It's all so confusing as thats much more than the recommended 20oz a day

KaybeeandZak · 17/06/2007 21:50

oops thats 4 bottles OF 7oz, total 28oz!!

podglet · 18/06/2007 09:02

Hello all, I'm back!

Had a wonderful time, the weather was
gorgeous and DS was totally spoilt by everybody! The spanish Love babies! I even got to sit in the sun for a while each day and have gone a rather nice brown too!

have skim read the thread quickly:

Debbsy - hope work isn't too dreadful
NJ - wow, what a spree, you look very lovely - cannot believe your DH hasn't cottoned on about your birthday yet!
Sara - after sleeping through most of the time on holiday, DS had me up twice last night

Can't help with the "how much milk?" question I'm afraid. DS will drink between 18 - 25 oz in a 24 hour period but I don't worry too much coz it all evens out to about a pint a day. He is still being a bit funny about food though, really doesn't eat a lot.

Hi to everyone else, sorry if I have missed anything.

saralou · 18/06/2007 09:47

morning all!!

i'm all alone... dp has gone to nottingham all week for induction to new job!! it's great peace, quiet and a superking bed all to myself (until ryan joined me at 5am)

kaybee, i don't think they can have too much milk, i believe thats the minimum they recomend, so it isn't an issue if he's having more... he will drop when he's ready too... i can't remember when ds1 started dropping his, but i'm sure he was older!

podglet, welcome back.. glad you had a nice holiday!!! and having ds1 who is an awful eater, don't stress about food... apparently when they're about 8 they start eating everything... this gives me hope (especially as ryan appears to be going the same way!!)

AlfieJacksmummy · 18/06/2007 17:40

Hi all, I was expecting loads to catch up on but you have all been very quiet this wekend, hope you've all had fun.
Podglet - welcome back
Kaybee - I agree with sara I dont think they can have too much milk, it is a minimum 18/20 oz a day.
Sara - sorry your on your own (or is it a good thing?)

Right well I had a great holiday and didnt want to come home to my problems! Had a bit of a nightmare when we got there, I lost my card, my face was killing, the cot was wrong and there was no microwave! But on Sat we went to a show with Leon Lopez (from hollyoaks, brookside and soapstar superstar) We met him after and had a piccie (which didnt come out and he said ahh about Alfie. Shelias wheels were there too (from the advert) and helped DP down the stars with the pram, he started singing 'Shelias wheels are superstars!!' it was so embarrasing! Lisa scott lee and Andy Abraam form x-factor - he was brilliant!
Stopped at Weston on the way home and walked along the pier it was lush. Got home to find a wasps nest in the fireplace which the landlord says we have to pay to be sorted, yeah right when they are throwing us out? I dont think so!!!
Sorry for the long post

mygirllollipop · 18/06/2007 19:13

Hi, been home for the wkend, good time, glad to see others been away and had good times too. Will catch up properly later.

Charleesunnysunsun · 19/06/2007 10:21

Oh AJ i am glad your holiday was ok (especailly since we will be there in Oct!) I hope you get your wasps sorted, i hate wasps and bees, we have the same problem but with fly's so i kno how you feel!

Both the boys are fine, Harry is sitting all the time now and still desperatley trying to crawl, Jack never did though so maybe harry wont either.
Poor little man is really grumpt the last few days i think he's teething, he did have to teeth pop up slightly but they seem to have gone in again he's not sleepin well and generally quite misrable.

Still no word on DP's job, his current company have left us in limbo while they um and ah about wether he has to leave or not, they said they will approach him in the near future, which to be honest doesn't help us at all so hes looking for another job and will leave either way when he finds one.

grrrr.

I am getting quite annoyed at the hospital at the moment, jacks care team ho promised us they would check on him every week and be there for our support have not contacted us in weeks! They never seem to be in thier offices, so when i catch up with them i will be having words. I have no idea when he is due in clininc and im still not sure 100% what i im doing in regards to contacting someone when he is ill. I feel a bit blah today if that makes sense!

Debz99 · 19/06/2007 11:01

Morning all !

We have finally been offered somehwere to live by the Housing Association Whooopppeee!!!!! It's not ready yet, as the previous tenant who was only in there two months has completely wrecked it ! It's only round the corner from Mum so will be really convenient for dropping off Ryan when I have to go to work ! Hopefully it won't be too long the workmen are in there doing "stuff" ... the sooner the better.

AlfieJacksmummy · 19/06/2007 11:07

Charlee - it makes sense to me Ive felt like that for a while now. Oh yeah i forgot you were going! All I would say is I hope your going self catered, because we went half board (all you can eat breakfast and dinner) and they said there is a wide selection, there were 3 things everynight, no veggie stuff and one night I didnt like anything so went to pizza hut instead! When I was younger and we went, we went self-catering and had a living room and kitchen etc. and of course I knew we wouldn't have a kitchen but we were in a shoe box!!!! we only just about fitted the pram in and couldnt go round it, the bathroom was bigger than the one room we had!! Also the people who we were told would be there, werent there at all - not one of them! Which I think is totally unfair, but other than that it was good, i dont want to bring your holiday down but thought I would tell you cos I know what mistakes I wouldnt make again(IYSWIM?)
Sorry your feeling down make sure you do have words with that care team its not good enough to leave you in limbo!
Mygirl - welcome back too

saralou · 19/06/2007 16:45

hello everyone

ryans got his 2 bottom teeth through, he was having a nibble on my finger yesterday and i went ouch!! so it turns out he's not grumpy, he had his reasons he's also got a funny crawl going on, he looks like a caterpiller, kinda dragging himself round everywhere!

charlee, leave them a message asking them to contact you... then if your still not happy go through PALS at the hospital, to get the answer you need!

aj, it's a good thing he's gone was driving me mad before he left and i'm loving the peace and quiet (and the ability to watch big brother without being winged at or have him talking over it!)

xx

AlfieJacksmummy · 20/06/2007 08:47

Ah Saralou bless him no wonder he has been grumpy!
Well Alfie weighed 18lb when he was weighed yesterday so he is back on track now. Going to look at a house today, it is cheaper than here and it seems really nice and its close to all dps family so can you all keep your fingers crossed for me today ladies? (sorry I know ive asked alot lately). Hope everyone is ok, have you managed to get thro yet charlee?

AlfieJacksmummy · 20/06/2007 09:46

Uncross the fingers ladies. It seems the tenant has had an operation and is in bed so cant look at the palce till saturday now, funny they never mentioned it yesterday!
Oh weel atleast dp can come too and they'v promised noone else is going to look at it before us.

podglet · 20/06/2007 15:05

Good luck for Saturday AJM, sounds v promising...

Finally emerged from the pile of washing from our holiday House purchase going well, just waiting on a date now, we are the end of a v short chain so fingers crossed it won't be long - hurrah

Charlee, that's appalling service you are (not) receiving. I would refuse to get off the phone until I spoke to someone and I think there would be a snot o gram letter as well. How do they expect you to manage without the knowledge and experience? Grrr on your behalf.

DS is now commando crawling all over the place (have just rescued the waste paper bin) and last night slept from 7 - 6
long may it continue!

AlfieJacksmummy · 21/06/2007 19:13

Thanks podglet, I know what you mean about the holiday washing!!!

Well ladies brace yourselves.... I brought a skirt today . and the best bit... I had to get a smaller size .
Feeling good about that but getting worried about the house, only one more day tho!

saralou · 22/06/2007 11:43

gosh, it's quiet here... where has everybody gone????????????????????

ryan is poorly.. just been to the dr's and he has a virus, but he's also dehydrated how do you force feed a baby thats not interested?? any way thats what i have to try doing! he's so hot poor little man

Charlee · 22/06/2007 15:00

oh poor baby i hope he feels better saralou what you can do if he is dehydrated is feed him water on a spoon or in a syringe every so often to make sure he is getting some fluids.

DP had his mole investigated today, its totaly benign and harmless i am so relived!

Jack is doin ok, one of his medications isn't working particuarly well so hes going to the hospital on weds for a check up.

Harry is a cheerfull chappy as ever he is into everyhing! his new thing is headbutting which is painfull!

podglet · 22/06/2007 15:55

Charlee - are you not sunny any more? notice the name change...

Saralou - poor little boy, same suggestion as Charlee really, water from a spoon or syringe, also, what about very dilute juice to give the water a little flavour? Hope he gets well soon!

AJM, hurrah for the new small skirt! I was dead chuffed 2 weeks ago when I bought 2 pairs of trousers 2 sizes smaller than 3 months ago! Fingers tightly crossed for you tomorrow

Where is everybody????

NatalieJane · 22/06/2007 16:57

Hello

It is my birthday today, woke up to a lovely bunch of pink roses, and a huge bottle of my spanish licor (yes it is spelt like that!!) that is peanuts to buy out there but humongous $$$$ here, and a gorgeous diamond bangle, and some earrings, I am a very lucky girl

I have been into town and bought some clothes and makeup, so now I am all tarted up, with no where to go, but who cares, the wine is open, it is a lovely evening, just waiting for DH to get home for it to be perfect

Sara sorry Ryan is ill, poor little lamb, hope he feels better soon.
AJM, good luck for tomorrow
Charlee, so glad for you that DP is OK, DH had a lump on his shoulder a few years ago so I know what you have gone through, I think I cried more than him!!

Oh I nearly forgot, ended up ordering a different buggy, a Jane Energy, I have had a play and it seems OK, very different to push from the micralite but it is much better for putting your bags on the handles, it doesn't tip up!! But mainly George looks a lot more comforttable in it. And I got one of those shade-a-babe things, it seems OK, it is more see through than I thought it would be, anyway I am off to top up my wine

AlfieJacksmummy · 22/06/2007 17:50

Ah saralou - hope your lo is feeling better soon

Charlee - hope you are still sunny, glad dp is ok and hope jacks check up goes well.

Podglet - thankyou for the support I was well chuffed with the skirt but its peeing sown now so I cant show it off!

NJ - Happy Birthday glad you've had a lovely day, my birthday is a couple of weeks hope I get as much spoiling!!

Glad your all on here I thought you were all ignoring me

SleeplessInTheStaceym11House · 22/06/2007 18:13

hello everyone, sorry i havent been around for ages, everything getting on top of me a bit!!

ds is teething again so hes a pita!

dd has a urine infection and a temp of 40+ most the time atm, which is great fun when shes 2.7yo and wont take medicine!!!

dh is having a great time atm with his car as it keeps f*cking up and we dont have the money to fix it!

im not doing brilliantly but just getting on and doing is helping! finally managed to make some extra money, been delivering the charity bags you get through the door, makes an extra £72 a week for us which is useful!

currently we'r £1700 into our overdraft, dh only gets paid £1400 so we'r gunna be £300 into our overdraft at the start of the month, bloody great!!

Happy Birthday to youuuuuuu!

saralou · 22/06/2007 21:09

HAPPY BIRTHDAY NAT!!!!!

well, just to defy all your lovely suggestions (did i mention his complexness?) won't take a spoon (won't for food normally), chokes on the syringe and spits it out, doesn't like juice added..

but he does like milk! so i've been giving him a watered down version of his formula, little and often!

sorry stacey... you do sound like it's rough at the moment, have a ((((hug)))), it's all i can do!

well done ajm on the skirt

AlfieJacksmummy · 22/06/2007 21:33

Stacey - sorry your having such a hard time at the mo, hope things start looking up for you.

Sara - does lo have a dummy, in Asda and other some other shops ive seen, they sell a medicine feeder dummy, it has been a god send to me as Alfie wont have medicine of a spoon or syringe and he is great with that!
