Glad you had a good time with Stacey, hope you have a fab time with whatever you choose to do with teh holiday voucher. Hope you have better luck with the hospital. You echo my sentiments exactly. I love my girls to bits but I want a life back with space in the house not full of pushchairs and car seats etc!

NatalieJane · 31/05/2007 10:34

Morning

Well BB has landed All girls, don't think it's going to work very well TBH, but we will see...

Typing in the nude, it is a habit of mine, problem is when you go to stand up and the back of your thighs are stuck to the leather - ouch!

Charlee glad you had a good day with Stacey, and hope you can get away somewhere for a bit of a break, you deserve it Also fingers crossed for DP and DS

DH still hasn't clicked that he has managed to put himself on call for my birthday weekend, I'm getting a bit narked about it now. I don't expect or even like a big fuss, but a little bit of thought wouldn't bloody hurt would it?

I will get him back, it is payday today and we are off into town, I can feel a bit of retail therepy coming on, what do you think? I could do with some new sandles for the summer, and DS1 would really appreciate a new Wii game, and little George could do with the most expensive baby toy I can find in Woolies, oh dear looks like I will run out of money before I find anything for DH, what a crying shame.........

AlfieJacksmummy · 31/05/2007 11:23

NJ - PMSL at your post! Hope you get lots of nice things for you and your lo's (nothing for your naughty dh)mmmm i feel like spending some money now .
On the subject of more children I always said I wanted 2 or 3 kids and still do but at the moment I think I would feel guilty on Alfie if I was pg cos I feel like i would be replacing him (iyswim)can any ladies with more than 1 lo tell me how you get over this feeling?

NatalieJane · 31/05/2007 12:09

AJ, for years after we had DS1 I said no way to another because I honestly didn't think I could love another person as much as I love DS1, but then DS1 was suddenly all grown up, going to school, doing things for himself, and I felt ready for another baby. I know this is going to sound really bad, but while I was pregnant with George, I did often ask myself if I loved the 'thing' growing inside me as much as DS1 and I can honestly say 'it' didn't come close and I did get a bit worked up about it, but when George was born, it went out of the window, and now, there is no difference at all. I think it helps that DS1 has been sooooo good with George, I might have felt guilty putting DS1 in a position he wasn't happy with if he had have reacted differently to George, but DS1 loves him so much, he wants another baby as much as I do!!

I think actually if anything George has made things better in more ways than you would think. His birth helped me to come to terms with DS1's birth which made me feel like I'd failed in some daft way, now I realise I didn't. George has made us look back to the first few months of DS1's life and really changed our view of it all, DH and I went through a load of problems when he was born, just as some of you are now, we had no one family or friends close by to help out, it was a complete disaster some days, now I find myself feeling guilty for being a better mum to George than I was to Thomas in the first few months! I don't mean I was a horrible mum to DS1 but I now have more patience, I now know what I'm doing instead of learning along the way, maybe the fact that I have grown up a lot myself since I had DS1 has had a lot to do with the differences.

Anyway I have banged on enough, the moral is you won't be replacing anything or one by having another if that's what you want, you will only be adding.

AlfieJacksmummy · 31/05/2007 12:18

Thanks NJ I think your right about knowing when the time is right, plus I asked my mum if she loved me any less than my brothers (I was the 3rd) and she said of course not she loved us all equally but in different ways which I think is nice.

The one thing im looking forward to when I have another baby is that I will be more prepared and know what im doing cos with ds it was all such a blur for about 6 weeks and I missed out on so much that I wish I could go back too.

The other thing is I was told I wouldnt probably be able to kids due to Endometriosis (well not naturally anyway) so I know im v.v.v.v luky to have my bubba but I would be upset if I couldnt ahve another but would feel blessed for ds1.

AlfieJacksmummy · 31/05/2007 13:29

Oh buggger it!
Just found out that we are being thrown out
The landlord cant afford the finance so we have 2 months to find somewhere. This is my worst nightmare as nowhere will let us rent for a price we can afford with 3cats and a garden in a quiet area. They have said we can move next door when our neighbour moves out next month but dont want to live there but cant afford to move anywhere else!!!!

v.v.v.v.v.v.

podglet · 31/05/2007 14:07

Oh no AJ that's pants. Poor you. Have you tried the website rightmove.co.uk for other rents? Really sorry.

NJ - oooh, retail therapy! Hope you have had a nice time. I had a bonus today. I went to shut the last accounts I had set up to deal with my dad's estate and was told there was nearly £200 interest in there! Think I will be spending it on an outfit for the 2 weddings and an 80th birthday I have this summer plus a lovely outfit for DS of course, which no doubt I will buy for the first wedding (end July) and he will have grown out of by the 2nd (beg Sept)

Just had a disaster. My friend bought over some toys her twins have grown out of and one is a wodden car thing. DS seems to really like and was waving it around and has clonked himself on the head with it poor little chap cried his heart out. A yogurt cheered him up though, typical man, thinks with his tummy!

NatalieJane · 01/06/2007 10:19

AJ, what a nightmare for you I hope you find a solution quick enough.

Podglet, poor DS, I am sure he will it 100 more times before the day is out.

We didn't get to town in the end, DS1 managed to turn his room into a bomb site in the space of 2 and a half minutes so we spent the afternoon clearing up instead, DH still in bad books, but I am off shopping with my mum tomorrow so I am sure we can dent his bank balance, it is mums birthday on Tuesday so I reakon she deserves some very expensive treats, on DH of course

I have sooooooo much ironing to do today so I probably won't be back before we leave for mums, so have a good weekend everyone, and I will see you all next week with my shiney new tattoo xxx

Charleesunnysunsun · 01/06/2007 13:19

A.J thats crud for you, can your local council house you?

Better news here, Jacks test came back clear so it look like it's just a chesty cold! so no hospital for us!

Dp's interview went well and they are letting him know by wed next week.

Evening all.

Woohoo Charlee, that's fab, really pleased to heat it

Nothing really to report here. DS went from 7pm to 5.25 am last night which was fab

Just thought I'd check in and say have a lovely weekend all. NJ, hope you got to your mums and have a lovely time.

AJ - any news?

AlfieJacksmummy · 01/06/2007 21:42

Hi.
Charlee - im so pleased, all that phyiso must of done the trick!

Well been feeling v.v.v. sorry for myself today, the more I think about moving the more upset im getting. We can hardly afford things now, let alone refernces fees, deposits, removal vans and not to mention looking for somewhere cheap enough, and then there is uprooting Alfie, and he was born into this place im just gutted gonna speak to the council on Monday (dont think they are open tom?) every place ive looked at has gone so far!

Anyone else feel like everything they touch turns to s**t?
(sorry to be on such a downer)

AlfieJacksmummy · 02/06/2007 11:23

Ok it is offical there is nowhere to rent where we live that we can afford!!

Charleesunnysunsun · 03/06/2007 19:04

Good evening everyone.

We have had a lovley weekend, its been fantastic weather.

We went and booked the Holiday for October and we took the kids to Fishers Farm Park in Whisborough Green it was such a nice day out I have never seen Jack so excited and happy he was getting in all the animals pens srokng and loving the baby lambs and piglets and playing on all the toys it even brought a tear to my eye watching him splashing in the bumper boats with dp!

Any way we have decided to move house again, we live in the middle of nowhere at the moment and our house which we rent privatley is joind to a farm which is infested with flies which merrily crap all over my clean ashing and nice clean white wals (which were not allowed to paint) and i really could do with being closer to the hospital and my family for Jack so im going to talk to the council tommorrow about getting a pleace.

Anyway poor Harry is having trouble eating again, well actually he eats like a pig but keeps being sick, im not sure if its from over eating but every evening he projectile vomits everywhere! Im not sure why?

He is desperate to crawl he spends all his time rolling around the floor pushing himself up onto his hands and knees but can't quite get anywhere yet!

Anyway best go have fun bye!!

AJ - Have a word ith your council maybe they could house you or help you get a private rent that takes housing benifit? I don't think they are legally alloed to see a baby out on the streets so they should do something.

OP posts:
mygirllollipop · 04/06/2007 07:51

Glad you had a good time Charlee! Good idea to move also.
AJM - DH said if you've been in the house over 2y the house must be sold with sitting tennants HTH.
Can't type for too long as DD4 crawls off in the other room! I've got twice the reason to make sure the baby gates are shut!
We've had company this weekend (PIL) and DD4 got sunburned yesterday (in the woods) so v. guilty mammy alert!

AlfieJacksmummy · 04/06/2007 09:18

Thanks MyGirl. Unfortunatley we have only been here a year, actually we had the leter through we have to be out the day we moved in last year! Im off to the council today but i'm sure they will put us somwhere really horrible but its worth a try. It just seems to be one thing after another at the moment. Just gonna look at the place to rent on the internet again, wish me luck!!
Hope everyone else is ok!

NatalieJane · 04/06/2007 09:22

Morning

AJ, I don't really know anything about dealing with the council, but I am sure they can't see you on the streets with dependants. Good luck with it.

Charlee, so pleased DS is doing well, where have you booked to go in October? Any news from DP's job yet?

Had a lovely weekend with my mum, no tattoo, the place I have had all of the previous ones done has closed down, and the other place that was recomended to me wasn't open on Sunday (too busy Saturday to do it) so I will have to wait till next time we go down.

GRRRRRRRR at my sister and her horror kids, but so so so pleased with myself, my boys are so gorgeous and well behaved Is that much boasting allowed?

Right I am off to catch up on BB, have missed it all weekend. Catch you later xxx

saralou · 04/06/2007 14:35

afternon all! had a busy few days... we decided to try and sort ryans sleeping habits out and get him to go to sleep in his cot and it's going quite well, the first night was hell though, took about 2 1/2hrs before he went to sleep but it's down to an hour now... we just have to persevere... but he's not been waking in the night either since we started this!!

today i've hurt my bloody neck though! woke up this morning, stretched up my arms and felt something go pop... it really hurts now and dp has had to take the day off work to look after me and the boys!

AJ... goodluck with the housing people today, i hope you manage to sort it out!

charlee, ryan does that when he's crawling.. gets up on his hands and knees then can't move! he's doing commando crawling though and is getting quite speedy at it! goodluck with getting your house move sorted too!

mygirl.. i hope she's not to sore! i'm pretty slack at putting the sun tan cream on and last year ds1 had heat stroke... very guilty mummy here!!

xx

SleeplessInTheStaceym11House · 04/06/2007 15:09

hiya everyone! we'r back home and settled in agiain!!

it was lovely meeting you charlee, we will have to do it again some day! your boys ar both so lovely (although i cant believe how big keiran was compared to harry!) iv got some pics which il put on when i get a chance although didnt manage to get any of the kids together as my two wouldnt sit still!

well keiran is doing a lot better now his eatin is getting better but hes still not sleeping through!! arrrggghh

hope all those with housin problems get them sorted soon! i know its a horrible situation to be in!

AlfieJacksmummy · 04/06/2007 19:12

Well that was a waste of time at the council today. They said we weren't priority because dp works (even though he is on a pitance) and we have to apply for private letting. I told him that it is murder to find somewhere we can afford that will let us have our cats and he said well you will have to get rid of them then!!! I know it might not seem like a big deal but ive had them 5yrs and they are part of my family, then to my utter I started bawling. It was so embarassing I just couldn't stop and I said what if I dont find anywhere and he said come back and declare yourself homeless (WTF!!!) I said what with all my stuff and a baby?? He said well you will be waiting for 5-7 years for a council house so you better get looking! I swear I could have punched him!!!
Anyway Im glad everyone else seems to be having a better time.
Saralou - OUCH!!

saralou · 04/06/2007 20:04

aj, sorry chick. i'd probably cry too (sorry, thats no help!) i think it utrterly sucks that they can't help you at the moment, the system is a sucky one! would you be able to move in with parents if the situation got utterly desperate? how long till you have to be out???? i really hope something turns up for you xx

saralou · 04/06/2007 20:05

ahhh, and hello stacey, glad you had a good time away

AlfieJacksmummy · 04/06/2007 20:55

I've got about a month and a half to be out. I couldn't really move in with them because they only live in a tiny cottage (with lots of dogs) and there would be nowhere for us or all our stuff same with dp parents.
I know what you mean about the council they actually said we arent entitled to any help cos dp works so basically if he was sat at home on his arse then they would help us, its completly mad!

podglet · 05/06/2007 08:34

Good Grief AJ, that's really rubbish. I am so sorry, I have no practical advice for you. Whereabouts in the country are you? Here, I found a big ice cream in my freezer for you, not much help I know but I thought you might like it... have a hug too

Charlee & Stacey, glad you had a lovely time last week and the kids all got along!

Saralou, I did something similar a couple of years ago, I went to the Dr and he said I had put my neck in tortion (sp?) - I was on Diazepan (again sp?) - it still hurt, but I didn't care I can totally symapthise though, v painful.

NJ, glad you had a lovely time with your Mum at last!

Am sorry to type this with AJ's trouble at the mo but we have found a house! We both fell in love with it as soon as we walked in. It is just round the corner from DP's elder sister (the nice one, not the cyclepath) and is huge. An elderly couple are moving out so it needs modernising - just what we wanted! There is no forward chain so we could be in within 6 weeks as our buyer is v keen too am v excited. Will also stop going on about it now...

Debbsy, where are you??? Hope all ok hun, know you go back to work soon, thinking of you.

Hello to everyone else

podglet · 05/06/2007 08:35

sorry, mammoth post there

AlfieJacksmummy · 05/06/2007 08:55

Dont be silly Podglet im happy for you atleast other people are having some luck my friend said to me yesterday she had 3 houses lined up and is taking her pick!
im in Gloucester , the problem we are having is that most lanlords wont except cats which i can understand because although mine spend most time out and are v. clean, they dont know that. There have been a couple of places but they have been quite far out and we have decided to go nearer the town cos all dp's family is there and none can drive so it would be nice.
We are being a bit more positive about it now, we are in a masonette at the mo and we aren't really happy here it is so noisy upstairs and we have had damp probs and stuff so we are looking forward to a new fresh start just wish there was a bit more of a time scale!
Sorry fr the mammoth post too
