Hi girls,

Am off line at home so only mamging to sneak the odd post from work

Congrats on Y ChaCha he's lovely!! You must be v proud, glad the bf is going well and you're getting a bit of sleep.

S has had a really nasty bug for about a fortnight night, hes had diarrhoea everyday for 12 days but seems to be much his old self now, my mums wittling about him though, thinks I shoild take him to the docs, may do on monday just to pacify her.

Hi to all , not long now NOva...

So sorry this is such a crap short post will try again tomorrow but have to run now Byee.....xxxxxxx

ChaCha · 02/03/2007 12:29

Hi all, where are you all hiding then? I know my luck, when things start getting hectic (i.e. as of 5pm today) and i have little net time, you'll all be posting loads and i'll have years of catching up to do!! Hope everyone is well esp Beks and family, hope no news is good news.

Feetheart - Massive thanks Will email you. Our love to the children. It would be great to all meet up again in the same place come the better weather, very convenient for me as i can catch my bus home from the Bayswater Road - takes 45 minutes but only setback is having to fold a double buggy and keep kids on lap etc.. will have to do a trial run soon.

Hi L&S - Thanks Good to see you post at last.

I have just been on to Y and have seen BoB's pics - adorable aren't they? I can't believe how big O looks and S is just beautiful, well done BoB - do hope you can post soon.
Nova - Your pics are lovely, you look great btw and Noo is scrumptious, she's grown so much! WoW.
Have also updated our album with a few piccies.

Guess it's off for another lemsip and to put the deliveries away.
In need of some new activity ideas (indoor) for DS2 - he now plugs anything in to socket that he can find including hoover, nothing is sacred. Also found him out of bed this morning drinking from tea mug that DH had left on landing...very sneaky too, had taken it into corner with back to all doors!

Beksmum · 02/03/2007 13:31

Hi ya, Have been reading just haven't had time to post for the last week or so. The updates are fab what a clever bunch of kids we've got.

Have just had a chance to look at the photo's and Nova Noo is just adorable, love the pen ones and you look really well, I know you don't like being pregnant but it certainly seems to suit you. Hope you're hanging on in there and looking forward to hearing your news - someone please text me if I miss the new arrival.

Chacha what beautiful boys, where did all Z's curls come from, they are gorgeous and those eyes, he is certainly going to be a favourite with the ladies when he grows up. Y is just beautiful too, and Z is obviously very smitten. Hope flying solo with two passengers is going well today.

L&Smum, hope S is feeling better soon, these bugs seem to just go on and on at the moment don't they, we seem to clear one and get another.

Chacha thanks for asking about me but I'm afraid no news wasn't good news, had a really crap week last week, culminating in my grandad passing away on Sunday, which was a real shock as he was fighting fit on Saturday.
It was a really hard day as my friends husband and I had arranged a surprise 40th party for her so I found out at 8am and had to go and set up the room etc at 9:30am and then act as the catalyst to get her to the venue without telling her what had happened - I'm obviously a better actress than I thought!!! Did have a laugh with dh making her cake the night before though. Ended up rushing round Sainsbury's at 9:45pm trying to get royal icing the night staff looked at me like I was nuts - no surprise there then! Sorry to bring the thread down.

Will try to post again with an update on the boys sometime next week, but we'll be the mad house for most of it as it's Ben's b'day on Thursday, he'll be the big 5

Hope everyone else is well, Love to all Beks

ChaCha · 02/03/2007 17:03

Oh Beks I'm so sorry to hear about your grandad, i thought your absence might not be good news. Am thinking of you and thanks for letting us know. Our condolences Beks.

BrownieBells · 02/03/2007 21:31

Beks - at your news - can empathise with you and my love and thoughts and heart goes out to you and yours. Still miss and talk to mine now - he is forever with me and always in my heart and thoughts - as yours will be with you I am sure.

Just wanted to post you lots of love and hugs, will try and pop back on tomorrow to give an update on Thomas, but needed to send love to Beks and family.

Love to all - be safe everyone

Brownie

Hello to everyone else, Brownie, Diege, Londoner, L&S, GG, have nice weekends, pretty nice weather up here, might plan a walk for tommorrow, hmmm.... Better go, I've just been collared to do some Fimo clay modelling!

OP posts:
Diege · 03/03/2007 12:59

Just a quick pop-in as out at 1. Sad news BEKS , thinking of you - agree, very brave with the party.
Hi to everyone else, will read through properyl later anbd catch up .

GreedyGecko · 03/03/2007 20:07

Hi all.

Beks, so sorry to hear your sad news. Yes, you are an amazing friend for keeping your composure.

Lovely photos on yahoo. Gorgeous babies & toddlers.

Busy week here. I went out on Wed for a meal for my friends birthday, came back with a job! I start on Tuesday.
The boys are settling into their new bed. We do have to sit in there though until Sean is asleep, otherwise he jumps around. He loves it!
I guess we also found out why the car knackered up while we were away. Shell really need to get pay at the pump things in, then I wouldn't have to get petrol from Tesco.
Take That tickets are booked, so my friend and I went out last night to celebrate. (any excuse for a boogie! ) I have now lost my voice from singing at the top of my voice, and all my muscles hurt from dancing like a loon! oh, and I'm sure my insides burn from the rediscovery of Aftershock!
Owen's not been well today, so have had to take Sean out to stop Owen being harassed by him wanting to play together.

ChaCha, loved the story of Z hiding to drink Daddys tea! So cute.

Nova, this month! Into the final stretch now, hang in there! Love Noo with pen on her face!

Off now, to try and sell some bits.

Londoner · 03/03/2007 21:33

ah, just lost my whoooole post.....
Hi,
Beks, so sorry gorgeous, sending you tea and hugs and you are welcome here for a real cuppa anytime just call. Wow, can't believe T's b.day has come around again, 5! Wow, dunno about you but I think 5 is a real leveller, you just think how did that happen? Hope you're okay this weekend.
GG, lol, you wild woman. Well done on the bed exchange btw, really bunkbeds? How cuuute!
Rodeo, so, how did the fimo sesh go then? Anything comparable to Bek's rat? Actually it was looking for a video link to Tony Hart's Gallery music to put with this that crashed my original message lol. Ah well, found a great video of Morph in the process though. Hope you're well hun? Keep thinking of lovely image of J and her brown curls and brown eyes as you described, so lovely.
ChaCha, rofl at Z sneaking dad's cuppa, so funny! And what Goooorgeous pics, so divinea couple of heart melting boys, bet you and dh just look at them and feel awash with awe. How are you, any better? So glad to hear the bf going so well, good for you, know what you mean about just giving in and forgetting the chores when you're doing it, wise words you're so right. What does Z think of the feeding? How are you managing on your own? Really fine is my guess.
Diege, busy busy-slow down woman! lol.
Nova, countdooooooown! Love pics of Noo, lol at Picasso ones!
Hi BB!
Hi Feetheart and L&S and Bob and Tex and all!
Still up every couple of hours in night with E but am not giving milk last 2 nights only cuddles! Woo hoo! Fingers crossed, that means last 2 days am down to 1 feed only before bed and I'm really happy with that.
Phew, that just about covers it for now then, night.

feetheart · 03/03/2007 22:07

BEKS - just had to add that my thoughts are with you

Need to go to bed so will try and post an update in the next few days.
Love to all.

GreedyGecko · 04/03/2007 09:58

AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAARRRRRRGGGGGGGHHHHHHH!!!!!

Heatings not working again. Looking on the bright side though, saves a little bit of money as we won't be using the gas. It's the 3rd time its gone (same problem) and when I complained last time they said if it goes 3 times that's when they'll look into replacing the boiler. I'm glad it's gone now, not in October when we start using it again, that would need a much bigger 'argh'!

Hope the rest of you are warm! See ya!

novadandypowder · 04/03/2007 11:33

Beks - I'd also like to pass on my thoughts and hugs to you and your family & hugs]]]]

Feetheart - nice little piece in PP this month

Diege · 04/03/2007 13:12

Nice and cosy here GG . Poor you though, having no heat is horrid . FEETHEART what's this about PP article then eh, come on, spill the beans!! Mum and dad are due over any minute, so just wish the rain would stop. We're all fine, though Scarlett is recovering from being 'stabbed' in the eye with pencil at nursery on Friday (hossy job) which are are extremely upset about as none of the staff seem to know what happended (hence we've not signed the incident form). S is fine, though will eed drops 4 times a day, then back for check-ups etc next week, as the cornea is scarred . Just glanced over at her now, watching Casper video with finger up her nose , so she's back to usual self!
Right, 'nana and taid' have arrived!

BrownieBells · 04/03/2007 19:19

Hi All! [waves]

Have had a look on yahoo - and must say, what a bunch of beautiful babes we all have!! must get on and upload some more of my Tiny Terror soon!

Update on Thomas : Walking and running everywhere! Eats anything you will give him and he can get his hands on! Teeth - he has 2 or 3 molars through, another on the way, and around 7 or 8 standard teeth - and if you attempt to put your finger anywhere near them, he'll bite them off!! Sleeps pretty well on the whole - goes to bed around 6-6.30pm usually asleep by 7pm at the latest. Then wakes anywhere between 6am and 7.30 depending.
Milk - he has 2 milk feeds a day and how much he drinks depends on what mood he's in! The rest of the day we just give him water, which he seems to love.
He doesn't really say any major recognisible words yet, but you can more or less work out what he wants! (all birds are quack quacks at the moment!) and his powers of comprehension are fab as he can do pretty much anything you ask of him (great idea for a mini slave Rodeo - hadn't quite prgressed the idea that far myself, but am now thinking about it!!) He loves to use the feather duster, or dsutpan and brush and is a proper little Mummy's helper . He can blow his own nose, (although he does then proceed to wipe the floor with the snotty tissue! - but we are gettign there!)

All other babes are sounding really well - and Chacha - you make it all sound so easy, have caught myself thinking about ttc no.2 after reading some of your posts - then I come back to reality!!!

Nova - not long for you now either! hoorha - and I must just add that I thought your photo looked radiant on yahoo...

Anyone else inot House? I didn't watch it the first time it was on, but sky plussed all of season 1 last weekend off sky - and am now hooked - am contemplating the box set of season 2!

Right, off to do something useful (not sure what tho!)
Love to all,
Brownie

novadandypowder · 04/03/2007 19:37

Yes...counting down the days...waiting....waiting....

Just read through my notes which include details of noo's birth and it says I had a 2nd degree tear . I was totally not aware of that and didn't have any stitches etc. It may however expain the strange little flap of excess skin I have 'down there' though. Beginning to get a bit nervous about going through it all again. A friend of mine was really keen to ttc no.2 this year, but keeps putting it off.

Diege - pencil-gate sounds awful, hopefully no permanent damage done.

GG - how dare you have a fun social life . I feel the need for a girls night out when I'm human again. at the TT tickets, can you believe I forgot that they'd gone on sale until 9.30 on friday morning by which time I knew they'd be sold out.

Rodeo · 04/03/2007 20:00

Evening
At a loss tonight, no 24 or Lost for a while as I'm a VirginMedia customer No Jack Bauer or Saywer, FFS. Anyway, having a nice catch up here instead
Diege, oooh poor Scarlett Send her our (and esp. Joe's) love!
GG, not again! Will you get a nice new one now? Well done on the bunk bed transition! Are your nights anymore peaceful?
Londoner, FIMO went ok, thanks, although not a fan of crafty activities! We made name plates for bedroom doors (saw the idea on Smart!) Well done with your nighttimes too, Jess was a complete pain last night and was up every couple of hours, but she's been a real grizzle bum today with bright red cheeks so maybe she's got a slight excuse.
Brownie, honestly she's not a mini-slave (mummy's little helper sounds much better!) Nice T update
Beks, hope you are all ok
Chacha, hope you've enjoyed your weekend, and completely KWYM about wanting to get on with other things while b'feeding, but the realisation that what you're doing is really important is a huge step forward in bfeeding IMO Does that make sense?!
Bye for now x

OP posts:
Rodeo · 04/03/2007 20:03

That's good that you had a tear and didn't even realise! You have nothing to worry about. I remember Noo's birth as a really positive one, didn't you even go so far as to say you enjoyed it? Your body's obv designed for it

OP posts:
GreedyGecko · 04/03/2007 20:06

Nova, I can't believe you forgot!!! My friend got to work early to book them! Saturday night was sold out by the time she pressed the button at 9:02, so we're going on the Friday. They're already on ebay for £350 a pair. Not surprised I have to say.

Diege, poor Scarlett, though lol at her with finger up her nose. Hope there's no permanent damage done.

I've sent DP up to get Sean off to sleep. Every time he drops off a dog barks. Grrr.

ChaCha · 04/03/2007 23:19

Hi girls,

Apologies in advance if i forget anyone, i have just had a quick catch up but my brain is a bit of a sieve today.

Diege - Poor Scarlett, just reading what happened made me wince! Am glad to hear that she's back to her usual self though, keep us posted with the outcome of checks next week. Sending her lots of love x

BB - Great update on T

Rodeo & Londoner - DS2 is feeding constantly, feel that i am spending very little time playing with his brother, he's a very active little thing and is not at the stage where i can b/f happily for an hour while we read a book together etc. Night times are fine, i have started feeding him while lying down until i drop off and wake in a panic wondering where the heck he is I am also trying to drop Cbeebies time - was on for far too long during last months of PG when i had little or no energy and needed DS1 to be entertained. Anyway am tired and rambling, will see how things on the feeding front go this week. Thanks.

Nova - Ouch!!

GG - Congrats on tickets and sending some heat waves your way

Weekend went well, DH took the whole weekend off even though he shouldn't have, it was great just having him around DS2 feeding/sleeping a lot, not so smug tonight as he would not settle in basket and is now lying on my bed - forget that little babies have the habit of freaking me out. Look down to see how he is and catch him peeping at me - also think my boys as babies have a little E.T. about them..think i must get some sleep.
DS2 getting quite cheeky, climbing everything and has learnt 'no' very well whilst shaking his hand away, everything is 'no' right now and 'yeah' for chicken, chips, carrots/brocolli, drink, bath, boogie beebies, dry hair only.

I think i better get to bed Night x

Rodeo · 05/03/2007 10:51

Morning
No signs of the storms yet here, hope it holds off, up to do the horse this afternoon.
Chacha, hope that's not a feeling of guilt creeping in there? Y will get much quicker at it, so an hour's feed will soon turn into 10-15 mins. Me and baby soon learnt to bfeed and pull Joe off Bella's hair/wipe a bottom/answer the door etc. And don't beat yourself up about telly time either - for the time being (3wks post-natal!) it is a life saver, he won't turn into a mini couch potato, he's far too active for that
Must make a start on the chores.....

OP posts:
GreedyGecko · 05/03/2007 14:17

nova - TT tickets, O2, face value

GreedyGecko · 05/03/2007 14:29

Sean slept until 5am in his own bed. Shouldn't get too excited, probably won't happen for another 3 months!

Thanks for the heat waves ChaCha! Won't be fixed until Weds. I'm going to lock the engineer in until he agrees to replace it.

Beksmum · 05/03/2007 16:51

Hi girls

Thanks for all the condolences, you really are a fab lot, and it's nice to know people care.

Chacha sounds like you are doing a fab job and making having two look extremely easy. I promise Z will not remember the time you spend with Y, - Ben certainly doesn't he can't even remember Tom being a baby really. They have too many exciting things going on all the time to remember that mummy was busy for a while.

Diege - ouch for poor S, glad to hear she's ok now, but let us know how the follow up checks go. Grr at the nursery for not knowing what happened.

GG sending you heat waves from here to, feel free pop up here for a warm up, if it gets too bad Well done S on sleeping in the bunkbeds, what a clever boy, can't wait to get Tom in his bed. So come on then tell us more about your job, good luck for tomorrow by the way.

Feetheart what did I miss in PP then?

Nova at you forgetting the tickets, that really is baby brain kicking in - T is already a fan as he was dancing round the living room to them the other afternoon - very worrying Eek at tear, but good you didn't know, good to hear you're getting your mind set for the imminent arrival, march babies are lovely honest, well at least till they learn to talk

Am loving the updates, will try to find time to tell you what a little monkey T is when I get a chance, am supposed to be sorting out my grandad's affairs at the moment, but mum's still writing the letters, so having a sneaky catch up!

Right best go and get these things sorted, thanks again guys, will pop in again soon Beks x

Londoner · 06/03/2007 07:30

La la la - la la la la la - Hi girls - la la la
Bets slept through the night..........!! hooray!!
Diege, hope little S is okay, how traumatic. What have nursery said, any proper apology? Bet yours and S's confidence must have taken quite a bashing, hope the eye heals nicely and quickly.
ChaCha, see, you're a double-son juggling pro already.
Nova, so exciting!!
GG, right, where's that boiler man, I want a woooord with you..... hope it gets sorted soon! Awww, S sounds so cuuute in his grown up bed, clever you GG.
Hi Beks.
Hi Brownie.
Hi Feetheart.
...and everyone!
