wil is she feeding really fast, could be she's getting what she needs quicker? Try switching sides when she comes off? Uhm.. Apart from that I'm not sure..

RPopz · 30/03/2015 13:01

DS went through a phase of only feeding for about 5 minutes at a time. It felt odd as previously he'd be on there for hours! Shock They seem to get more efficient at feeding as they get older. As long as she's happy and doing plenty of nappies I wouldn't worry?

DH has just insisted on taking the dog and the baby to the post office together on his own.... never known so much faffing about for a five minute bloody journey Grin Still had to point out the baby was in the pram with no socks or blanket on before they left....

RPopz · 30/03/2015 13:02

Feel weirdly edgey about it him being out without me... Sad

willywallace · 30/03/2015 13:23

Hahaha popz. Loving the lack of blanket. It's about 4 degrees.

I assume by the weight issue she isn't getting enough. And she faffs so much I don't think she's an efficient feeder. I give up trying to figure it out.

Pisghetti · 30/03/2015 15:11

BabyPis is back to birthweight Smile only managed 1.5 hrs in the magic wakey up basket last night though yawn

I feel weirdly broody today Shock

JuniDD · 30/03/2015 15:16

wow! well done baby pis!

wil are you feeding from cues or putting her on when you think she's due a feed? I think it was this age I found v hard as she could go longer but I got stressed she wasn't having enough. May be worth waiting a bit longer if appropriate. dd once went 4 hours Shock

the baby stealers were at MrJs gym. But it was ok

Minion · 30/03/2015 15:50

Nicely done pis, great news.

What tactics did you employ to ward the baby stealers off, juni?

Aside from her injections I've achieved the grand total of frig all today. Every time I go to put her down she whinges, not eating and just wants to sleep,
Now the sensible side of me says it's the cold she caught of us, seeing as though her nose is streaming and all.
The not so rational side assumes this is the first day of wonder week 4. It's due to start today and can last 35 days!

Great.

Just great.

willywallace · 30/03/2015 15:53

I don't time Juni, have no idea when she feeds really and find it weird that HV and doctors always ask how often they feed whilst telling you to feed on demand. Confused I think maybe she's distracted by the toddler.

Good work Pis!

willywallace · 30/03/2015 15:56

But maybe I try to feed her too soon instead of trying to stop her crying another way. Hmm.

Or maybe it's the injections Min?

ZylaB · 30/03/2015 16:10

wil when mrwil is around get him to entertain miniwil in another room, you try and feed microwil in a quiet calm room and see if she's any better? Would let you know if that's it? Hope she sorts herself out!

TheBooMonster · 30/03/2015 17:34

oh no min maybe the injections will knock her for six?

ah popz if more milky hormones are made at night that explains a lot! Maybe that's why no matter what she wakes up at 1am...

zyla I always make them plot with a pencil so I can replot when they leave!

wil MicroBoo is on the boob for barely any time at all, generally about 5-10 mins, I tried pumping this afternoon where has the bloody ardo pump been all my life, I love it, plus my cold water steriliser and in the 5 minutes that I allowed myself to pump whilst miniBoo screamed at DH I managed to get a good 100ml across the two boobs, so if babies are meant to be better at getting milk out than pumps she's probably getting more than you think, perhaps try and keep a record of when she feeds and how long for for a day or so and see if there are any obvious gaps where she's not feeding enough?

how did mrPopz and co fare on their post office trip popz?

Minion · 30/03/2015 20:07

I would normally blame the injection tbh but she started being odd yesterday.
She had just took over an hour to get down again. Bloody light night! Although I imagine she's still on the minus 1 time zone.

willywallace · 30/03/2015 21:29

That's a good idea Boo.

This one won't go down either Boo. I've left her downstairs with MrWil.

willywallace · 30/03/2015 21:30

Shit, meant Min.

TheBooMonster · 30/03/2015 21:39

Mine was down... Then I decided we should have an early night... DH brought her upstairs still asleep and then decided as she was going to bed he should change her nappy she is now awake and now she's woken up the "foolish mummy, you thought you were going to sleep?" booby dance has begun... He is unsurprisingly back downstairs playing Diablo...

JuniDD · 30/03/2015 22:14

Mine refused to go down too. WTF is with these babies tonight, eh? I bet she's up half the night AND she's teething so hurting my boobahs when she feeds.

Had dentist today. Apparently my jaw bone is receding. Great. Confused

OP posts:
willywallace · 30/03/2015 22:20

How does that happen Juni?

Was he expecting her to stay asleep during nappy change? I'd frigging kill him. What is Diablo? Can you change the wifi password to something only you know and then feign innocence?

TheBooMonster · 30/03/2015 22:24

I'm not sure what he was expecting, she is still wide awake, with the eyes and everything, we're both covered in milk, I really want a glass of wine or just squash would do, he's not even come to check if she's gone back to sleep, next time I'm telling him he can keep her downstairs till he comes up! It's a 1st person computer game, with spells instead of guns from what I can tell...

Receding jaw?! How? Shock

RPopz · 30/03/2015 22:25

That sounds unpleasant juni! Sad God I haven't been to the dentist in about 15 years.... I dread to think what they'd say.

MrPopz's post office trip was not a success. Apparently some random drunk was trying to start a fight with him on the way Confused (we live in a tres classy area Grin ) and then the queue in the post office was really long and the staff were being really slow and DS was screaming.... So he came home without posting his parcels haha! Grin

RPopz · 30/03/2015 22:27

That is annoying Boo.

Amazingly I managed to change DS without waking him up the other night!

willywallace · 31/03/2015 03:20

I could never manage that Popz. Grin at the Post Office visit. MiniWil used to scream as soon as I entered any shop. I panic-bought so many things just to get out quickly. Including shoes I hadn't even tried on. Now I just let people endure the screaming...

We do that Boo. Means I can get a bit of rest before nighttime shift.

Minion · 31/03/2015 07:12

If it's happening to all babies, I reckon it must be the time difference.

willywallace · 31/03/2015 07:42

My baby has not a clue of the time difference. She is just a bloody crap sleeper. She's so frigging windy.

Minion · 31/03/2015 07:55

Is that microwil blowing a hooley outside my house then wil? Christ, I may end up in Oz at this rate.
Mini min has once again claimed my side of the bed whilst she snoozes.
She's lying on her back cuddling her rabbit and bnot flailing all over the show, she stretches and her fingers go a bit twitchy, but I've not seen her startle yet. We're going cold turkey on swaddle and moses basket on Thursday, do you reckon, seeing as though she is quite still, she'll be OK? Thought we'd tackle it when husband is off.

ZylaB · 31/03/2015 07:57

H took hours to put down last night too, in the end I tried swaddling her arms again, despite her screaming last time I did it and it seemed to work, we had a 2 and a half hour stretch at least.... I don't bloody know, she's so inconsistent lol
