Anyone else up?

Minion · 16/03/2015 06:21

Not at that point, no. But every other hour it seemed

willywallace · 16/03/2015 10:57

Aw booo Min. I've been up since I posted too. I think my baby might have some broken parts. I am going to dig out the warranty and see if I'm covered for free repairs.

MiniWil was up early too so I'm hoping we can do afternoon naps all round.

ZylaB · 16/03/2015 11:37

We are all covered for repairs wil nods

Doc thinks silent reflux! We've got some infant gaviscon, I need to express some and mix it for after feeds. He suggests not every fed, just to see how it goes. Will try it soon and see if it's magic!!

willywallace · 16/03/2015 11:54

Good news zyla. You have to have quite a lot of milk to mix it with. You can give it with water instead if she'll take it.

ZylaB · 16/03/2015 12:37

I mixed it with an ounce, about 30ml and shook it, she drank it all but I think in future it'll be better to give it half way through a feed as she wasn't very keen on the bottle after a feed. Fx it works.

wil with microwil, if you do think there's a problem then do what the HV says, or at least yo to the gp and mention it, better to try and catch things? X

laurenamium · 16/03/2015 12:41

No discharge here. I'm trying my very best to manage the disappointment, they won't let me take him home until he shows a weight gain. They won't weigh him until tomorrow night, so at the very earliest its going to be Wednesday but they're telling me to expect Monday after the Sunday weigh in... I need to get a grip there's people that have been here months, it's just so frustrating

willywallace · 16/03/2015 13:01

Oh Lauren that's rubbish. Although best he stays in until they're sure he's ok. You'd only have to bring him back if he left too early.

I have no clue if there's anything wrong zyla. I'm inclined to think she's just a screamy baby. We have ranitidine already, I have stopped dairy - and she's still screamy. We have so many appointments already between the two of them, I'm not sure I can be doing with anymore.

ZylaB · 16/03/2015 13:50

Aww poor microwil. Fx the ranitidine works! X

Minion · 16/03/2015 17:16

Oh lauren, I really thought you'd all be home by tonight! that's rubbish but he's in the best possible place! as sucky as that feels.
wil, doc told me ranitidine works in 48 hours or so but I've heard of people who saw a difference right away.

Now I don't want to jinx myself but I think ww3 is over... Ish,
She's been ridiculously smiley this afternoon, chatting to me (as much as she can) whilst I was in kitchen and is starting to really work out that her chubby fist will not fit in her tiny gob. So she's trying out the fingers instead.
Still not eating as much as before but neocate has a higher calorie count per scoop so she's getting enough I think.

I just hope she. Has eaten enough to go more than 4 hours at a go, tonight.
We knew we were in for trouble yesterday, she hardly ate anything and was fast asleep by 4:30! She had a mammoth 14 hours sleep last night. Woke a few times but went straight back off. TBF we thought one of us would have been up for the day at 3am.

ZylaB · 16/03/2015 17:20

lauren sorry he's not out yet, but it does sound like he's doing better and better!

min fx, sounds like a lovely afternoon :)

RPopz · 16/03/2015 18:57

14 hours!? Shock

DS is still getting pissed off he can't fit both fists in his gob at once. Its hysterical.

RPopz · 16/03/2015 18:57

Aw Lauren, gutted Sad Hugs x

Minion · 16/03/2015 19:45

That was just 14 hours in that afternoon. She got up at 6 am and went back about 6:40 then didn't surface from that til 9:45! She can be a proper kipper when she wants.
Of course she can be a grumpy Madam too. Christ she can be grumpy.
She's got this horrific screech which gets higher and higher pitched til she almost loses her voice.
It's fucking painful.

willywallace · 16/03/2015 20:15

That sounds familiar Min Grin . It doesn't help that people keep telling me she has such a 'sore' cry. However she is currently sleeping peacefully on top of me and looks like a wee angel.

ZylaB · 16/03/2015 22:46

H has outgrown some of her smaller newborn sleep suits! Either that or we shrunk them in the tumble drier, but we don't shrink our tshirts so I doubt we have. A out of it is she's stretching out now, but still...yay for growing after the worry over feeding and weight loss. Getting weighed again tomorrow. No way we're trying 0-3month outfits yet though, they're massive!! And a lot of the newborn stuff is still too big, how are they such different sizes from diff shops?!

ZylaB · 16/03/2015 22:51

And lol popz at your ds and his fists Grin Grin

willywallace · 16/03/2015 23:24

Oh the sizes bug the tits off me zyla. Massive differences between shops. Microwil is skipping lots of 0-3m stuff as we can't fit it on. So she's in 3-6 month stuff which drowns her top half but can fit over the bottom. Good news H is growing. We only managed to put on 2oz this week. Hopefully just down to the cold.

So tired and can't get this one to sleep.

cookielove · 17/03/2015 04:08

Why won't he sleep, he is fucking laughing!

willywallace · 17/03/2015 04:58

Sad Cookie

I fucked up tonight. She woke at half two and I gave her the dummy instead of feeding her. So she's been a bit restless for last two hours and hence I've been awake. Have now fed her but know she's unlikely to get back to sleep properly at this time. So I'm going to end up being awake from half two. What an eejit. Should have just fed her then.

ZylaB · 17/03/2015 06:09

:( cookie and wil

She's been in the bedside cot all night except for feeds! Huuuuge step forward! Gaviscon and a dummy for self soothing/extra spit to soothe her throat (yes the doc said try one again for those reasons!) seem to have helped. It's not right yet, but it's better! Hope it's not just a lucky night.

I did spend half the night putting the dummy back in, but still got about 2 hours, as an hour here and there which is good for us. The gaviscon's made her shit thick and really smelly lol, H seems quite impressed with herself!

willywallace · 17/03/2015 08:14

Great news zyla.

I have indeed been up since half two. Shoot me.

Minion · 17/03/2015 08:36

Feel your pain girls. For tge second night running this one has been up and down more time than a tarts knickers.
Wtf has changed?

willywallace · 17/03/2015 09:44

We've definitely been given a dodgy batch girls. Min is R still on the ranitidine?

RPopz · 17/03/2015 09:45

Crappy night here too. He's been doing angry dinosaur noises all night. Plus he pissed in his face again when I changed his nappy and I couldn't be arsed to go get him some more clothes out so I just wrapped him up and put him in bed next to me. Where he proceeded to kick the shit out of me for an hour! So I ended up going to get the sodding clothes out anyway... Haha.

Snoozing peacefully now. Little bugger Smile

Zy he did manage one time to fit his thumb in at the same time as his dummy which I thought was quite impressive! Grin

Oh the size thing, drives me mad too. He's got so much stuff as well, I'm trying to make sure he wears every thing at least once! Not helpful for my ocd clothes rotation system when some of the 0-3 stuff is teeny and some of the newborn stuff is ginormous! Shock

I've got a hair appointment today and he has to come with me.... What was I thinking!? Shall I cancel??
