Hope you've got some antibiotics ness & your poorly boobs better soon.
Thanks wil found a few things but DD has to be crawling before she can go, we're quite rural so will have a drive round other local villages & have a look.

Not sure what to do about DP, he's permanently in a grump & let rip last night. He's fed up of how life has changed since DD arrived, ie she is now my priority & not him. He does the odd nappy change & plays with her if she's smiling but the rest is down to me on my own. She started crying last night as I asked him to have her while I had a wee & he decided he 'don't need this shit after being at work' & shut himself in another room in a huff. I'm too sleep deprived to deal with a man child at the moment. Sad

Sorry just needed a moan, mums coming round tomorrow to give me a break & a hug! I really really need a bucket of Wine

Nessalina · 28/01/2015 17:40

That's not good Scoob Sad Sounds like he needs to seriously man up!

Been to the Gps and got antibiotics! Apparently I have 'classic' mastitis Confused DH has taken the day off work to look after J whilst I curl up in bed.

RPopz · 28/01/2015 17:43

That's a bit shitty of him furry ... what did he expect?? I envisage something similar occurring here soon though tbh. Breastfeeding makes it so intense and DH can't really assist in any way. Plus we're sleeping in separate beds now he's back at work so not really seeing much of him! Confused

Did your hv not spam you with a tonne of info about mother/baby type groups?

Eek Ness - Hope you made it to docs!

DS seems to have lost the ability to feed for more than 5 minutes without falling asleep at the boob... and then screaming to be fed 10 minutes later if I put him down. Driving me batty.

JuniDD · 28/01/2015 17:47

Glad you got antibix ness and hope you are feeling better very soon. Mastitis scares the shit out of me.

furry & popz sorry about these men. Sending them some kicks up the backside. I moan about MrJ a bit but he is good.

wil how's it going with DD2?

A friend asked me if I was bored yet of mat leave...no way!
Only one hairy moment on my journey today - at traffic light on a dual carriageway and all the posts were shaking in the wind! Borrowed a woven wrap so keen to have a play with that if DD is agreeable.

willywallace · 28/01/2015 20:16

Men can take a while to come round and get used to things although that is an extreme reaction Furry. It's ridiculous that he would complain about your daughter being your first priority. I hope he has the good grace to realise how he's behaving and apologises. He's not prone to depression or anything?

I have MIL here just now so am getting lots of help. MrWil can be a bit lazy but he is in charge of sorting MiniWil out - I suppose he doesn't do that much for the baby other than nappy changes during the night. It is hard when the baby is glued to my tit for a large proportion of the day.

willywallace · 28/01/2015 20:18

Going well thanks Juni, she is just adorable and looks quite like my Dad who died a long time ago so it's quite nice. I am so lucky and have had so much help though. When everyone leaves me I am sure the stress and tears will start!

cookielove · 29/01/2015 15:40

I have a poorly boy :( caught another cold grrrrr! And I think his teeth are hurting as he loved knawing/sucking on my carrot sticks earlier (they were cold)

Minion · 29/01/2015 16:02

Oh no, poor little eli x
I was all set for an afternoon out to see ladies I was grounded with, the snow put a full stop to that.
So house bound.. Again.
Sigh

willywallace · 29/01/2015 19:18

How're things with MrScoob Furry?

Nessalina · 30/01/2015 06:30

Hey all Smile
Hope Eli's feeling better cookie? Colds are so horrible Confused
Has the snow been bad where you are Min? We've just had some pathetic flurries, nothing to write home about really. Not that I've been out anywhere, been feeling thoroughly sorry for myself! The infection's still there, boob is still sore and hot as hell, but my fever's finally gone down after two days of antiBs and paracetamol - hurrah!
DH had a bit of a meltdown today - I think the pressure of being primary parent made him go a bit loopy. He'd compiled a list of 12 things I keep doing that piss him off! To give you an idea of the severity of the offences, no.1 was 'leaving the teaspoon on the counter after you make a cup of tea so it leaves a stain'
and no.12 was 'not closing the drawers in the nursery properly after I take something out of them' Hmm
Honestly, he really drives me up the wall sometimes! I'm like 'hello! Looking after a baby here!'. But it's important to him, so I've said I'll try harder with the stupid stuff. I did give him hell for not being very sympathetic the first day I was ill though - he so thought I was just being a hypochondriac!
How's things with your OH Scoob? Have you had it out with him? Hope you're ok xx

JuniDD · 30/01/2015 07:25

ness you sound very calm about the list. I could kick his arse into next week for you. How mean! When you're ill! Angry Angry

Minion · 30/01/2015 08:30

A list!!
What is he?
8?
Why didn't he just talk to you.. Although the teaspoon convo has been bandied about at Minions too. It's not half as bad as people leaving the teabag on the side, when there's a Sodding bin!
Are you starting a collection?
Are you donating them to a nation of fervent but undernourished tea drinkers?
Are you perhaps stock piling them to make art work Tracey Emin would be proud of?
No!!

Then bin the bastards!!!

Aaannnnnddddd breathe.

willywallace · 30/01/2015 08:34

Oh my god Ness!!!! A list?!!! I would make up my own list starting with "You write fucking stupid lists about trivial things and need to catch yourself on." Sorry I'm v tired this morning. Mr Wil would boot my arse to the other end of the country if I came at him with such a list I sometimes make them up in my head though.

Glad the boobs are on the mend. My friend said that mastitis was worse than childbirth. And she had an 11lb baby with only gas and air.

Another sleepless night for me, hurray.

FurryScoob · 30/01/2015 09:11

Hope Eli's feeling better cookie

ness Shock That's just mean especially while your feeling crap. Id do everything on the list even more!

Mrscoob is still alive too much snow to dig up the patio he apologised & came home with chocolate. He had yesterday off & had a better chat, he seemed under the impression he would have to do more round the house for the first couple of weeks & then I would 'go back to normal' & we'd have a baby that hardly ever cried. Reality has hit him & he now realises this is my new normal & I'm no longer gonna do everything while he sits on his arse on the computer! He also spent more time with DD & noticed how much she now does & how much he's missing out on so hopefully he's gonna be more involved now.

Nessalina · 30/01/2015 09:37

That's a result Scoob! How daft is he though?! He can't genuinely expect life to have stayed exactly the same, surely? Shock

My DH has anxiety issues, so he is incapable of 'just saying' things like a normal person but instead keeps thinking about them and planning to talk to me, and having full arguments with me in his head, and getting more and more pissed off, until finally it reaches a crisis point where he drops into a massive sulk and I have to prise what is wrong out of him Hmm Whereas I'm like 'babe, can you NOT leave full bin bags resting against the car seat?!' - job done Grin
It's annoying, but I'm used to it now. I've had 10years of passive aggressive bollocks to deal with! He is very lovely 95% of the time, he just sucks at conflict.

cookielove · 30/01/2015 09:39

It seems alot of our men seem to be having little break downs. Or saying mean shit. Dh told me he regrets having Eli, he loves him completely but he never wanted children and he misses the easyness of life before. I wish he hadn't told me to be fair. But he is always so frigging honest. Hmm

Any who Elijah is still suffering but is sleeping well so at least that is ok.

OP posts:
willywallace · 30/01/2015 09:59

Jesus Cookie that's an awful thing to come out with. The baby stage is hard and some people hate it but it doesn't last long in the grand scheme of things. He'll probably be happy as larry once Eli can kick a ball around with him.

Ah Ness, I'm a bit passive aggressive with MrWil, must drive him nuts shouldn't be so bloody annoying then should heGrin . MIL has just reminded me how 'good' and 'hands on' he is as he lies in bed sleeping while I am on sofa with crippled back after being up all night. He will do stuff when asked though. Just seems to lack the initiative to figure it out for himself.

willywallace · 30/01/2015 10:00

Clearly too tired to do strike throughs properly.

FurryScoob · 30/01/2015 10:57

FlowersWine & Cake to you all, especially cookie that's a mean thing for your DH to say.

Hope you get some sleep soon wil

Minion · 30/01/2015 11:13

cookie, WHAT? That's terribly honest of him, and not in the good way.
Are they under the impression that when we are home alone with the babies, they sleep all day and shit rainbows?
Crikey.
It's good that he's so honest with you, but there's a time and a place for keeping shtum. And after having a baby and sleepless nights, it's definitely the time and place to shut ones gob.

willywallace · 30/01/2015 11:17

To bring an air of positivity to our glum morning, I can fit into my skinny jeans! Can't bend down in them but one step at a time Grin .

RPopz · 30/01/2015 11:27

Oof Cookie Sad What a shitty thing to say.

Ness ... a list!? That is simultaneously hilarious and infuriating! Kudos for not losing your shit! Glad the boobs are feeling better Smile

Min I am a tea bag leaver outer/ collector Grin Drives Mr P batty Grin Grin

RPopz · 30/01/2015 11:28

Hooray for jeans Wil Grin

Minion · 30/01/2015 11:33

Feels good doesn't it wil, congrats!

JuniDD · 30/01/2015 11:53

cookie that's horrible of him. Did you give him what for?

What a week!

Well done all you slinky malinkies...I think I am going to be one of those who holds on to the weight. MrJ was taking pics of me and DD today and had to delete a load as I looked so fat! Didn't even show me. Oh well. Should nuclear winter occur I'll be AOK. Hmm

Off to a "photographing your baby" course today. £10 says she does an enormo-shit as we arrive and I spend half the class sorting that out.
