Will she need to be on it for a long time wil?
Any names yet?

JuniDD · 20/01/2015 09:28

Glad R is on the up min, you make the most of it you can.

Are the mws helping you wil? She must have come very quickly, hope you're ok.

MrJ was amazing when she was tiny and I was more or less bed bound. I guess as I don't NEED him so much he just pleases himself. Very galling him going on about how tired he is and sleeping constantly. I love DD to pieces but wouldn't mind deciding on a lie in when it took my fancy.

willywallace · 20/01/2015 10:07

snap Juni, MrWil was great whilst I couldn't move but then he slacked off a bit. Not this time with a toddler to entertain though Grin .

Think we used it until solids were established Min but hopefully R will grow out of it quicker. We didn't have problems until she was 3 or 4 weeks old and can't remember when she started on it.

Was very quick - just a couple of hours start to finish (not in hospital, from first contractions. Was in hospital for just less than an hour) and no time for epidural much to my screaming disgust. Unimaginably painful but overall much better than last time. No name still.

Happy Birthday Popz!

cookielove · 20/01/2015 11:30

wil not sure if I have already said but if not congratulations :)

Elijah slept well last night and now my mum has him for the morning which means I can relax and shower in peace miss him already Blush

Glad things are looking up Min!
J had a horrible rash round face and neck at about 5 weeks, turned out to be eczema and cleared up with a couple of days of steroid cream. If you start seeing yellow crap round her neck line then get back in touch with GP coz it might be infected. Hopefully it is just acne in your case though!
Wow Wil - glad it was quick, sorry it was painful! Confused Are you feeling ok recovery wise?
DH settled J to sleep last night, took him an hour, but I was strong and resisted helping!! Stayed downstairs, had a glass of vino and watched telly - bliss! Grin Said thank you with an attempt at a shag for the first time since birth, but we had to call a halt coz it felt a bit sore Confused Might have to get GP to take a look...

Minion · 20/01/2015 14:49

She's still a bit grumbly, but there's a definite improvement. She's not stretching her legs and back out and screaming in my face, bonus.
I've noticed she also drinks to the end of her bottle too, don't know if it's anything to do with it, but it's different.
Now if only I can persuade her to nod off less than 1.5 hrs after her feed..

ness, my friend has just had everything put back into place down there after over a year! she only went to docs as when her and her husband tried to get it on, it was a bit sore too. Hope they can fix your foo too x

RPopz · 20/01/2015 16:54

A couple of hours Wil bloody hell!! Envy Lol. Hope all went ok and your fanoir isn't too shredded!

Glad R seems better today Min. Poor mite.

Eek Ness how long has it been? I'm a bit worried about all that... everything is kinda numb down there right now Hmm

Nessalina · 20/01/2015 22:03

We last shagged in July I think Blush It wasn't awful, just a bit owch, hopefully it's just a bit out of use! Grin
I've been a slow cooker queen today, made a chicken curry that is smelling flipping awesome, can't wait to scoff it tomorrow!
It's snowing here...

Minion · 21/01/2015 08:40

What exactly should I be doing each day with Ro?
I feel like I should be doing tummy time etc but she either just gets narky or falls asleep.
I pop her in her moses and she wakes up.
I don't think I'm very patient. Ha, she's only a month old

willywallace · 21/01/2015 10:20

God I haven't slept for 3 nights. This is actually what hell feels like. Had to hold the little madam all night however now she is managing to lie in her crib. Hmm Raging headache and boobs in pieces. She clearly was just pretending to be low maintenance. Lucky she's cute.Wink

willywallace · 21/01/2015 10:21

Oh yes to tummy time but loads of babies hate it. Just do it for a minute at a time if she cries.

Minion · 21/01/2015 10:27

Oh wil you poor thing. Have you had the ' sleep when babies sleep ' advice yet?
Yeah, cause its that easy!
Ro has just had bum change, bottle, then freaked out cause of the acid, now has passed out on me.

I didn't even get a chance to entertain, change her clothes or wash her.
That may have to wait till bedtime

Nessalina · 21/01/2015 13:53

Poor you Wil Confused I found days 3-4 horrible, I think they just go a bit mad around then!!
J only started enjoying tummy time at about 8 weeks. Before that he just face-planted and cried!

cookielove · 21/01/2015 15:47

Elijah is 5 months and quite enjoys tummy time but he has always been very strong and can now lift his head very high and also is up on his elbows which helps of course. And the fact that he sleeps on his tummy will help.

I am still struggling with getting him to sleep in his bed during the day hopefully it's a developmental thing and he'll do it soon.

Are you home now Wil? It's hell on those post natal wards. I was up 36 hours straight in labour... and then no hope of sleeping in hospital, even though DS was very sleepy at first.

We finally named him. It's blatantly the wrong name. Bollocks.

Minion · 21/01/2015 17:11

Think I'm boring my daughter. She's done nothing but sleep and take a bottle today.
I had big plans for a nice walk and playtime.
I'll not take it personally.
Hoe she hasn't slept too much and is nocturnal tonight though.
Can they even sleep too much?

willywallace · 21/01/2015 17:54

Apparently Min if mine is anything to go by. She is totally going to be up all night again. Hoping a bath later may wake her up.

Which did you pick Popz? Oh no, I feel pressure now! Yes came home yesterday.

Minion · 21/01/2015 18:24

What name popz?

Minion · 21/01/2015 20:24

So there I was, having a lovely bath. Waiting fir the water to reach a nice temp so Ro could jump in. Husband in the nursery de-nappying and on the phone, when all of a sudden I hear him say 'breathe child breathe'
I panic, shout at him to bring her back into the bathroom and put her naked on me (I read a good article about this just this morning), she's almost purple and screaming.
Gets back in Bath with him, against my chest, my hand supporting her bum and the little Madam poos all over me!
Hahaha
Looks like the gaviscon constipation has been resolved.
Needless to say she looks very pleased with herself now!
But man, I was terrified.

RPopz · 21/01/2015 20:45

Blimey Min that little lady is putting you through it this week eh?? Hopefully she'll sleep tonight after her poopy exertions Grin

We called him Isaac. Everyone's been calling him Ted since he was born and I called him it in a shop 10 minutes after registering him... Now I look at him he's clearly a Ted and I'm panicking! Shock Atgrhrge. WTAF is wrong with me. Can I still blame hormones??

How you doing Wil? Hope the bfing is going ok, I found those first couple of days so hard x

RPopz · 21/01/2015 20:45

Have you got any names shortlisted Wil?

Minion · 21/01/2015 20:56

Isaac was my husbands choice too. But with our surname it would have been a bit mean.
It's a good name tho, as is Ted. That was our fave for a boy. Edward, shortened yo Teddy.
Good choices for both I'd say!!

Nessalina · 21/01/2015 21:38

That's weird, when we originally put our names short list together, our top two were Theodore (nn Ted) or Isaac! We were always going to have James as the middle name, and after a while we both went off the first choices and James was upgraded! It just really grew on me, and he does suit it luckily Smile Popz, if you still feel like it's not right apparently it's pretty easy to change a name officially when they're under one. I think there's instructions on the back of the short birth certificate!
Min - Grin at poo attack! J did that to Adam when he was little, he ran into me and was like 'he just stopped breathing and went all red!! What's wrong with him?!" Then he did it again, followed by this long paaaaarp Grin I was like, yeah, he's just straining Blush

RPopz · 21/01/2015 22:11

Theodore was my first choice the whole preg! I got the heebies about him getting the piss taken out of him at school tho and about Ted being a bit daft.... Argh.

willywallace · 22/01/2015 15:38

I think it's pretty easy to change if you want to Popz. I actually can't seem to find a single name I like. Everyone keeps hassling me so I'm feeling a bit stressed about it. We're kind of choosing between two random ones and I don't love either so therefore can't decide.

Sorry you got shat on in the bath *
min*Grin . My toddler went through a phase of bath pooing. It isn't pleasant to find it floating between Grandpa Pig's boat and a rubber duck.
