CONGRATULATIONS Aunty Hill! Glad all went well - was the labour as quick as your posting? If so...wow!!
Sympathies to everyone with colds - especially your houseful Wabbitt - hope everyone a bit better now. We are all suffering here too but with the added delight of no heating! Yes, to add to all my other tribulations, the boiler has decided to pack in. Have waited in all day for heating engineer who has so far decided not to show...grrrr...He better come soon. Good jopb we're all poorly and not really up to going out, though some heat would be nice. You're all lucky that none of you live in my neck of the woods otherwise I'd be landing on your doorstep!
SR - I could have kept you company on Sunday night - I was up with DD1 and her coughing and spluttering for most of it. Hope all your problems ar enow resolved.
Mamama - when are you heading back to the UK? Will you be here for bonfire night next year? I don't think it's what it was though...too many big bangs for my liking and being let off here, there and everywhere. Someone at work (who I know only by name, really) lost her husband on Saurday night - head blown off by a firework. Although she wasn't there, 2 or 3 of their young children witnessed it...very sad.

mamama · 10/11/2006 16:49

jaamy @ your friend. And very .

Simplyred · 10/11/2006 21:44

Oh god Jaamy thats horrific - those poor children and his wife I have to admit fireworks terrify me - we had some in the garden last weekend - and I was nervous!

Simplyred · 11/11/2006 07:11

Morning!! - off to a Ball this evening!!! and meeting Lenny Henry - its the SW yearly knees up!

IdrisTheDragon · 11/11/2006 09:11

Morning .

I am also off to a ball this evening.
Mine is an NCT one. I haven't ever been to a ball before . Should be fun .

mamama · 11/11/2006 13:31

Oooo, all these balls. SOunds lovely. SR, whats SW?

Hope you have a great evening

Any news mummyhill?

wabbitt · 11/11/2006 22:32

Hope you're having a wonderful time SR and Idris

Mummyhill - hope you're having a ball too enjoying your new niece

Jaamy - Noop's over her horrible virus - it went in quite a spectacular way with a post viral rash that came up on Thursday and caused the most violent itching for her (poor poppet - she had to put up with me calling her a mangey hobo all day [naughty mummy emoticon])

I'm sleepy - just having a cuppa before I go to bed

Mamama and all with non sleeping babes - hope you're getting better nights now.

zibes to you all xxx

mummyhill · 11/11/2006 23:29

More lovely autumnal weather here - we've been having a crafty morning and fingerpainting... we're going a walk in a little while

IdrisTheDragon · 12/11/2006 13:09

I had fun at the ball . Am somehwat suffering now but as DH has taken Alice and DS out I am able to suffer in peace . Must get dressed some time. And tidy.

Simplyred · 12/11/2006 18:28

Hello! Just got back!! Great fun went to bed at 3.15am !! SW is Slimming World like Weight Watchers only better - I've been a consultant for the last 7 months!!!

IdrisTheDragon · 13/11/2006 09:10

Hello .

I am at work.

Alice looks like a beaten up baby at the moment . She keeps falling over and has bruises all over her face. She is much more of a dare devil than DS ever was.

Simplyred · 13/11/2006 22:37

Hello!

I know what you mean Idris - Rachel always has a line of bruises across her forehead - where shes crawled into something or launched herself from something! I'd like to order some eyes in the back of my head - and an extra arm would be useful!

mamama · 14/11/2006 01:55

Hi all,

It's freezing over here. DS has had a tummybug since last week so we've been cooped up, doing laundry & feeling a bit miserable! We managed to get out this morning for the first time in 4 days only to have DS be sick again as soon as we got home. Ugh!

Glad that the balls went well at the weekend. Hope all the bruised toddlers heal soon

Simplyred · 14/11/2006 06:56

Morning - Your poorly little man mamama - hope he is feeling much better

mummyhill · 14/11/2006 11:46

Hello everyone D slept through for 3 nights then had a night from hell again last night!!!! Am hoping that we can have a good night tonight cause I was just starting to feel human after 3 nights uninterupted sleep.

OP posts:
mamama · 14/11/2006 14:49

Yay Mummyhill - 3 nights uninterrupted sleep must have been fabulous! Sorry it didn't last. Hopefully last night was just a blip & he'll go back to sleeping well. Sleep zibes coming your way

Thanks, Simplyred. The doctor saud just to do what we usually do unless DS looks unwell, which he doesn't. So I'm hoping we can make it through music class without any unfortunate 'incidents'

wabbitt · 14/11/2006 17:31

Hello hope you get him into a routine of sleeping well MH

mollyollymummy · 15/11/2006 11:11

Hi everyone sri not posted for a while, have had a hectic couple of weeks with this, that, and the other.
mummyhill- gongratulations! how wonderful to become an Aunty hope mother and baby are both doing fine.
Jaamy - so sorry to hear about you're friends husband at the fireworks that's horrific!
mamama - hope your DS is feeling much better. It's no fun watching you're lo's being ill. My DD has been ill since Friday, initially I thought it was just teething pain, but she's had a fever and been off her food and last night developed an alarming rash, although I have to say she seems alot perkier, anyway, off to the doc's to check it out. Hope everyone else and their lo's are well.

Something quite lovely happened to me a couple of days ago, I heard from an old friend who I havn't seen in 20 years, she's been trying to find me for years, we used to work in Ireland together then got married and went our seperate ways. She put a lovely advert for me on friends reunited. She now lives in Denmark and has a dear little boy whom she conceived through IVF and has had a failed attempt for another we are hoping to have a reunion soon. The sad thing is she used to live about 20 miles away in Salisbury unbeknown to me.

mummyhill · 15/11/2006 11:24
