they don't sell Ella in France. Our local Geant Casino supermarket sells that Good Gout, which is lovely. But all supermarkets have some kind of organic baby foods, most often those ones: www.babybio.fr/index.php

Oh guys that sounds tough, Brew all round today?

After some great nights of sleeping through H went back to being up once or twice a night still pretty good I know well it seemed to coincide with my loudly snoring OH moving into the room next door to H. He moved upstairs last night and H slept 9-7.30, so it looks like he snores so loudly he can wake a baby through a wall!! Confused

PuppyMummy · 06/04/2014 09:04

morning berries, sorry to barge in, popped over from pregnancy (32 weeks!) to ask a question!

im organising stuff for hospital bag, how many maternity pads are realistic?

I hav one pack of massive ones, think 24 in. And a pack of smaller ones.
shall I put the whole pack of massive ones in the bag? and should I buy more massive ones? Smile

TIA

Alexandra6 · 06/04/2014 10:18

It depends how long you're kept in for, I was only in for one day so didn't need tons even though I packed loads, in fact I had two suitcases and a bag which made the midwives laugh You could always get someone to bring you some if you need more though or leave the pack in your car boot. Maybe I got through 10 that first day? You need more at home though obviously. I would pack around 20/25 maybe.

MotherOfCleo · 06/04/2014 12:25

hi puppy, I was in for 4 days and maybe used 4 a day so not a stupid amount, would maybe have used more the first night but I was bed bound. The ward will always have extras if you need them.

MotherOfCleo · 06/04/2014 12:31

haha alex what on earth did you pack? Grin I had a big rucksack and H had his changing bag filled with his stuff. Although I didnt have my bag till afterwards and all I wanted were my nighty, facewipes, chewing gum toothbrush ideally but I couldnt get off the damn bed and lipsalve. H's bag was locked in the car till the next day, all the poor boy had were a few sleepsuits a hat and a blanket that first night Blush even the nappies and wipes were locked in the car at home so the hosp had to supply some.

CatsCantFlyFast · 06/04/2014 12:45

Puppy I really didn't bleed a lot but still used 2 at a time for the first couple of days so at least 10 a day

CatsCantFlyFast · 06/04/2014 12:46

Oh and the thick ones are much comfier for the first week

PuppyMummy · 06/04/2014 14:18

thanks everyone! I hav put 12 in the bag, ill put the rest in the emergency extras bag and get another pack of thick ones for home.

im also struggling for space! might have to resort to a small suitcase!

have put in 12 nappies? ill shove the rest of the pack in the extras bag!

not bought a changing bag yet so all babys stuff is with mine.

Tallyra · 06/04/2014 19:37

You've just made me think. we have 1 pack of nappies but I think we might need to bring another one if we'll be in for a couple of days?

Tallyra · 06/04/2014 19:37

oh god, its tomorrow! Shock Shock Shock Shock Shock

BlearyeyedLol · 06/04/2014 21:15

All the best of luck tally. See you over here shortly GrinGrin

Cavort · 06/04/2014 22:11

Good luck Tally, although I'm sure you won't need it. Can't wait to see your gorgeous newborn pictures. Envy

And speaking of pictures, we went for our underwater shoot yesterday so I am eagerly awaiting seeing the results. I have everything crossed for at least one good one of E. Lol did you say you didn't like Scott's wife when you went for yours? I don't know if she was his wife but he had a lady called Sharon helping him yesterday who I thought was lovely.

MotherOfCleo · 06/04/2014 23:07

Good luck tally, so excited for you Grin Grin

CatsCantFlyFast · 07/04/2014 01:54

Puppy I only had 4 nappies in the first hospital bag, the rest were in the car. I literally put in what I would need for labour and 2 hours afterwards, everything else went in the spare bag

Quodlibet · 07/04/2014 06:16

Tallyra I am beyond excited for you - can't think what it must be like to know that today is your baby's birthday. Wishing you all the best - treasure every moment of today.

I am full of the joys of spring today having just had 7 hrs uninterrupted sleep!! After nights of waking every 2hrs or so, last night she stayed up til 10pm and has just slept through til 5.45. Hurrah! I need it today - off to visit my folks in Cornwall for the week, and a bit intimidated by the thought of getting us and all our stuff across London on the tube and then a 4.5 hr train journey with a baby...

MotherOfCleo · 07/04/2014 07:49

Yay, go W, so pleased you got some sleep!! After being up at 6.30 Saturday an Sunday H is still asleep today....cheeky boy!

Hope all goes ok with your journey and have a fab holiday! I'm jealous! Grin

Thinking of you today tally, hope all goes smoothly and you are soon meeting your little one!

Alexandra6 · 07/04/2014 08:47

Good luck tally how exciting knowing today's the day!

cav how much was your underwater shoot and what prints do you get? Just wondered in case my water babies one doesn't go well. I'm looking forward to our shoot. Hope your pics are fab.

quod I'm beyond jealous! S went to bed at 7.30pm and woke up at 11pm, earlier than usual, then again at 2am and was up for ages! I ended up with her sleeping on me like a newborn so we wouldn't wake DH up when he has work! Four month regression is such a bitch Wink Made the mistake of wondering into the sleep forum on here and it was too depressing so I stumbled back out before I terrified myself with stories about good sleepers going bad, and not recovering for months!

BlearyeyedLol · 07/04/2014 08:57

Cav u don't remember the lady's name tbh. She was alright I suppose, just didn't like the way he dunked L. However the shots were so lovely I forgave herGrin. Can't wait to see yours! Did you all go under??
Alex L was a fab sleeper till about 20 weeks and it has gone to shit after. It's only now starting to get better again at 36 (I think!) so hopefully it will be better for you!
Has anyone lowered the cot yet? Did ours yesterday as L has learnt to pill herself up standing and it's a PITA! Can hardly reach her cause I'm such a midget any ideas??? Even considering buying a second cheap mattress to put under hers so as she is a bit higher!

BlearyeyedLol · 07/04/2014 08:59

Omg so many typos!
Cav I don't remember (not u)..
She not he...
And pull herself up not pill!!!!
Morning all Smile

Tallyra · 07/04/2014 09:27

thanks all. I am terrified and nervous and excited. trying to keep calm while we get the bags together and lunch for dh etc. All so practical but I'm on the verge of tears right now.

Alexandra6 · 07/04/2014 09:46

It's such a emotional time tally - so exciting that you'll be holding your baby soon!

lol you are allowed to lie and tell me it passed within days you know Grin oh well, could be worse, and she wakes up in a lovely mood so that and cake has cheered up my morning!

quod you know you said she went down at 10pm, do you just relax and do bedtime whenever she falls asleep? Just wondered as I'm always debating sleep strategies and bedtimes!

Cavort · 07/04/2014 10:21

Tally this wait is definitely the worst bit. It all gets better from here and you are about to have a lovely day. Smile

Alex the underwater shoot was £99. There aren't any prints included in the price but you do get every image he takes on a disc or via Dropbox. I think Lol said she got 10 pictures? There is no hard sell on ordering prints from him but his price list for prints and canvases is very reasonable.

Prints
7 x 5 = £3
8 x 6 = £5
10 x 8 = £7
12 x 10 = £10
16 x 12 = £15
20 x 16 = £25
24 x 20 = £35
30 x 24 = £50
40 x 30 = £75

Canvas
7 x 5 = £15
10 x 8 = £20
16 x 12 = £30
20 x 16 = £40
30 x 25 = £60
40 x 30 = £80
*Custom sizes available on request

Framed Prints (Black MDF Frame with Ivory Mount - frame size)
10 x 8 = £25
12 x 10 = £40
16 x 12 = £50
20 x 16 = £60

Lol we mainly asked for pictures of E, but he took some of DSD on her own as well as both of girls together, he took one of E and me together and then we attempted one with all four of us on it at the end, which I don't hold out much hope for but it will be worth a laugh. Grin

BlearyeyedLol · 07/04/2014 10:26

Alex I ordered 3 canvas as I could not decide on a single one. They look amazing in L's room! The quality is brilliant and as cav says not too expensive. Well worth it in my opinion.
Cav yeah I got 10. Can't wait to see yours.
Today we will have a new berry baby la la la la la la GrinGrin

MotherOfCleo · 07/04/2014 11:39

ohh that sounds far more affordable than water babies, whos underwater shoot is imo a total rip off, hence we aren't doing it. Sad

Thinking of you tally.
