Ladies, babies, and bumps, welcome to the new thread!

Should we start this off with an update from us all like last time? I thought that was nice, especially for those who get little chance to catch up.

Hello! Oh Gosh, how awful Diege - hope things are on the way up in the Diegey household! Was up your way today at my goddaughters 3rd birthday party (Fun2B, by the Warrington Wolves Stadium) We ended up being a little bit late, but other than that, it was great! T really enjoyed it, had big fun in the baby area, and DH took him in the bigger bit too! We then went back to my Aunties, where we all had hotpot (yummy) - T demolished his like he'd never been fed!! Then we headed home - a good day was had by all!!

Chacha = Hooray for Z and his step taking! T has now progressed to about 12+ steps unaided, so be warned!!
Beks - my T is obviously like yours, he loves to climb the stairs if we forget to shut the bottom door! he is a licmber and also loves his food! our T also seems to be teething again, not sure which ones, but def top towards the back(ish)!

Can't believe my little boy will be 1 next Saturday - gosh! As usual, have a very hectic week ahead, so not sure how much I will be able to get on this week (out most nights, and am training when at work this week!) But will post as and when I can.

Off to watch the rest of the Celeb jungle - it makes me larff!!

Brownie

Morning all!

Just a quickie here as we're busy, busy!

Well done Jess on your first steps.

How is Libby doing now, are your nights any better Diege?

Sean had his 12mth booster yesterday and didn't make a sound, I was ready for the scream, but none came. I hope next months are the same.

Just printing out a load of flyers as I'm taking my books to a toddler group this morning, then taking Sean to the orthoptist to check out his wonky eye. I've had a really positive start to my books, thanks Rodeo.

Diege, if you'd like to buy books from me, that'd be great . Just drop me an email and we'll go from there.

Hope you all have lovely days. Speak soon.

ChaCha · 21/11/2006 15:16

Hi girls,

Hope everyone is well. GG - 12 month booster? Do all babies have these, I don't have a clue, does the clinic/hv send a reminder Good luck with your marketing strategy - impressive - you're doing so well

Hi Brownie & Rodeo!! [Big Wave] and hi to everyone else. Beks - LOl at missing flavour of baby - you'll have guessed already i'm sure!

Brownie - Ds's birthday is the 3rd December but am having his party this Saturday - We are having two, one in Wales and one here - don't ask - it's called trying to please everyone, what are you planning? I need help!! Am going to try and be one of those super mums and make all those neat little b'day treats etc but will probably pull my hair out in the process - tips anyone?

p.s. How's Diege? Everything okay now with the kids and Londoner?

LaylaandSethsmum · 21/11/2006 16:27

Hi

GG, Seth had his booster today and Layla had her pre school booster, S cried for about a second but was soon back to showing everyone his " chak-cha" which is translated as 'tractor' or any heavy goods/farm/ motorised vehicle or train really!!
Layla was a super star and didn't even flinch, i was v proud of her as she can be a real dram queen!!

ChaCha - the jab is a combined meningitis C and Hib booster, the vaccine schedule has changed since september so all babies are offered this one at 12 months then they have the MMR and pneumococcal vaccinations at 13-15 mths. Your surgery should automatically send for you.

Rodeo- Hope you're ok and good old Jess for starting to walk. When do you get your new laptop? We'll have to meet up soon i'm off mondays and wednesdays.

Diege - Hope Libby is a bit more settled now, the long broken nights are awful aren't they when you['ve got used to your sleep again!

At work again sneaking a post, so Hi to all i've missed, Beks, Londoner, Tessamum.....and everyone else! xxxx

LaylaandSethsmum · 21/11/2006 17:01

Nova , did you go to the xmas party?..

novadandypowder · 21/11/2006 17:29

Hi all, been feeing very low, I can cry at the drop of a hat at the moment. Todays tantrum was about feeling a failure because noo sleeps when DH puts her down for a nap, but screams and cries when I try it. I don't have the energy to keep taking her up and down stairs to the cot so have spent a few afternoons getting a dead arm with noo asleep on me in the rocking chair. She's really a bit too big to be doing that now. Had an interesting moment this afternoon though, DH was giving me a cuddle and noo got really upset. We picked her up to join us for a group hug, and she threw her arms around me and started pushing and kicking DH away from me. Lets hope she gets out of this before lo arrives...

Londoner - that idea for party bags is ace.

L&Smum - no I didn't go to the party in the end. As well as feeling pretty pooped, I haven't quite felt the same about MN since our thread was needlessly sneered at.

Noo had her MMR on friday along with her final pneumococcal (we started a while back, so she's had 3 in total). She's actually been alright, I was very surprised. Think she may have a tooth coming through at the mo though which is causing her more grief.

novadandypowder · 21/11/2006 17:36

Oh, and does anyone else think it's really sad that the Dec 05 thread ended. I saw a post recently from one of the members trying to get some updates from everyone, and I don't think anyone replied .

Let that never happen to us x

ChaCha · 21/11/2006 18:45

Hi to L&Smum and thank you for the info - hadn't a clue! Are you enjoying being back at work? Or silly question?!

Nova - Blame pesky PG hormones - I do! I hardly make a trip upstairs with the LO to be honest, so i can appreciate what you're saying - the only time i take him upstairs is for his bath which is usually after breakfast and before bed. Other than that everything including nap times are done downstairs which does make things a little easier. If i need to sleep with him at his nap time we both lie on the sofa - is this a possibility for you or would it interfere with routine/sleep times etc? Just a thought - makes a world of difference to my day. I didn't nap with him at 12 today as i had to order the groceries etc. but found that by 5 I was exhausted and so made him lie down AGAIN on sofa with warm milk watching CBeebies while rubbing his head - he is still asleep now! I know i'll pay the price later when he's up playing till late but hey...what to do?
Sending you a hug, love the group hug btw- it's so sweet [hug]

Didn't know that about Dec thread - how sad!! Maybe the person in mention could join us here...

Hey All - quickie from me (just before CSI Miami! and before I flake out, as am shattered, feel a bit pants, sore throat and so on, and have not long been in from Brownies etc!) Anyway,
We have had notice about Thomas's Hib & MenC booster - so have booked it for next week - will enquire what happens next as am now totally lost! so will let you know what I find out Chacha.
As for DS's party on Saturday - we are having an open house! This could involve as many as 30+ guests (and believe it or not, this is being kept small, as have only invited close family and friends!) Am going to attempt to make a cake! and have bought some fab ballons and a banner from tescos - less than £2 for the lot!!! so not sure how much help this is!? Have got lots of family up Diege's way, so 2 car loads are heading down, some staying over night, some going back after refreshments. Am keeping it simple, and just letting people drop in and out as they please, will make sure lots of coffee, soft drinks and a few nibbles are available, pizzas and so on!
Anyway, dashing off now as CSI Miami has just started!

B
