Ladies, babies, and bumps, welcome to the new thread!

Should we start this off with an update from us all like last time? I thought that was nice, especially for those who get little chance to catch up.

OP posts:

Morning!
You were posting early Londoner! It's bedlam here at that time of the morning! Chessington sounds fab, did you go on any of the scary rides? Or were you the designated bag carrier?
GG, glad the night terror was just a one off. You must be relieved LOL at you being banned from pushing Sean round in the pink Zapp!
Nova, glad Nat was better yesterday. It's sooooo nice watching them when they don't know you're there and they're having a lovely time. I love watching Jess in her cot after her nap playing and talking to her teddies They're so cute!
Diege, how did the teaching go yesterday? Must look out for those shopping bag things, they sound very useful! And have been meaning to tell you for ages you have a doppelganger! If you have Discovery Realtime (the most boring cable channel, but dp's favourite) she presents the show Overhaulin'! Not sure of her name I'll try and find out!
Chacha, enjoy your scan today, looking forward to news Can't be long til your anomoly scan either Nova?
Looking forward to the hairdressers this afternoon, I love having my hair played with!

Diege · 06/10/2006 12:57

Afternoon! Sounds like you had a fun time LONDONER, you always seem to make the most of your weekends Teaching went fine yesterday, though I'm sick of the sound of my own voice!! Have to do it all again at 2.. RODEO: will let you know how the zapp bag thing turns out. Have also ordered that 3G buggy board that's mean to fit - DH would have a fit if you knew how much it all came to (no telling now...). Oh and I am intrigued by my doppelganger . We only get freeeview, so never see Discovery Channel!
Right, getting a bit panicky about Sunday, just because I don't know where I'm going!!! Being a control freak and all, I'm also going to send my moby no. again on yahoo (when I get in tonight) - think I still have everyone else's somewhere!!
I know you will be dead busy with Saturday's party BROWNIE, but am relying on your local knowledge for a venue .
Speak later

GarfieldsGirl · 06/10/2006 13:38

WOW!!! Londoner, you sure have a busy month there! Haven't been to Chessington for years, I revert to a teenager when I get anywhere near theme parks! And hey! who cares about a bit of rain, you're only going to get wet on the rides anyway!

Rodeo, throw as much yoghurt on Jags as you like! DP has just phoned me, he's been knocked off his bike , fortunately he's not hurt, but bikes wrecked He was in the cycle lane which is on the path then the road, this Jag started revving his engine at him then shouting and swearing at him. When DP turned the corner the Jag followed him, then wheel spun straight at him and knocked him off . Police have been give reg no, and they'd better get the b***d. Grrrrrrrrrrrr!

browniechick · 06/10/2006 14:02

OMG GG, and . Just glad your DP is ok.
Lets hope they do get him ..... what a nasty pasty.....

Diege, have emailed via yahoo, so hopefully things are starting to come together for Sunday!? Let me know if you want any more info!
Diege think you are going to be here around 11ish, Rodeo any idea of arrival time? Beks, are you still coming? Have I missed anyone???

Chully · 06/10/2006 14:33

Hi All,

Haven't been on here for a while - work is manic at the moment! I've been working 50 hour weeks since I got back from hols, which is really tiring.

GG, I can't believe your jag bloke and the cycle accident - that's outrageous! I hope he gets strung up! With regards to night terrors, J had something similar to Owen recently - it sounds like it must have been a night terror. He was screaming so loudly that he even woke up DH, which is unheard of! We both spent 15 minutes trying to comfort him/work out what was wrong before he finally went back to sleep. It was quite disturbing!

Beks, it was so sweet of you to invite everyone to the party - you're very brave. I can't make it though, I'm afraid.

Diege, I've got a net for the back of the Zapp to store raincovers etc, which works quite well.

ChaCha - that went fast! 20 weeks already! I hope you're feeling well - Nova, you too!

Rodeo, you're very amusing!

Hi to everyone I haven't mentioned...

Anyway, back to work - hope you all enjoy your meet-up.

Beksmum · 06/10/2006 17:45

Hi girls, really sorry i haven't posted again for a few days, things here are manic and I'm afraid I'm not going to be able to make Sunday after all - I'm absolutely gutted but bodgit, legit and scarper (the builders)have **ed up and not managed to make the house secure nor get the scaffolding down as they promised so we're not really able to go too far from home at present.

Plus both kids are poorly Thomas has a rotten cough and Ben keeps getting recurring bouts of a really vile virus that is doing the rounds down here, so we are going to give you all a wide berth until we're sure we're lurgy free. What with birthdays coming up!

While I'm on the subject of the virus, please watch out for it as it presents all the signs of appendicitus (sp?) the kids get excruciating stomach pain down their right side, headache, sickness and feel red hot but do not have a temperature. A couple of kids around here were whipped in to A&E and had their appendix removed before the drs realised that lots of kids were presenting with the same symptoms and they finally diagnosed it as a non specific viral infection. They are only recommending keeping the kids dosed to the eyeballs with calopol and nurofen.

GG what a complete that driver was, hope the old bill find him and give hims ome grief. Glad to hear your dp was ok though, bet it shook him up all the same.

Chacha hope the scan went well.

Nova we haven't heard much about your bump how are you doing? Hope Noo settles down soon for you, it must be really difficult for you at the moment.

Diege crack up at you and your buggy obsession, glad the teaching went well this week.

Blimey Londoner sounds like you've got your hands full at the moment, do you fancy a get together soon, before the weather prevents park meet ups - although it would just mena that we'd have to be ladies wot lunched instead the party organising is coming on well, how did you guess what I was putting inthe party bags by the way

Welcome back Chully, good to see you.

Right best go and finish making the dinner as dh has just come in - I'm really sorry about sunday girls, hope you have a great time. Hi to everyone I haven't mentioned Beks

Rodeo · 06/10/2006 20:43

Evening
Beks, oh what a shame But it's better to be safe than sorry - it'd be awful if you returned to being broken into - don't worry, we'll meet again soon That virus sounds scary BTW, hope it doesn't make it's way up this far north!
Chully, you are good to check in here what with your 50 hour weeks - you must be exhausted! Ooh you have a Zapp too! What colour is yours?!
Brownie, we'll aim for 11ish too, we have to be back for swimming lessons (which I forgot to cancel, sorry)at 5 but it should still leave us with plenty of time. I've posted you a reply on Yahoo anyway, plans sound fine
GG That's awful. And it's not long after his bad accident, you must be so upset (well maybe that will come after your sheer fury subsides! ) They must be able to get the stupid tw*t with his reg plate. Give your dp our regards, poor man.
Diege, I've been doing a bit of investigating and your twin's name is Adrienne Janic and there's a pic of her here! Brownie's put some plans on Yahoo for us (plenty of parking apparently!) Think you still have my number, well I still have yours so I will use in case of emergencies!
Right, back to my Friday night, speak tomorrow!

Diege · 06/10/2006 21:45

Hi everyone!! Oh RODEO, how I wish I looked like my twin, lol!!! Oh you do flatter me! DH says I have a 'look' of her, but I should say BROWNIE don't go by the picture if you're trying to find me!
Have replied on yahoo, so seems like we're all set up! BEKS: v.disappointed , but as RODEO says, better to be safe. Bloomin' builders eh, bet you could curse them. Lots of get welll hugs to the boys too .
GG: how horrendous for you and dp - my dh is a keen cyclist and member of our local cycle campaign, and says that the lane to road thing is where most incidents happen, usually because drivers just don't bother looking in wing mirror. Bet the police will get the driver this time - good on dp for getting the reg!!
Right, bed for me (ok, may have a sneeky look at my twin's website again!)

tessasmum · 07/10/2006 09:33

Hello all! Haven't had a chance to catch up but just to say have a lovely meet-up - we want piccies please.
Really sorry I can't make it as its not as far for me as any of the others who are making it but this w/e is MAD. Off to my aunt's 78th birthday lunch in Suffolf today and Tessa and Daddy are doing a sponsored walk at Whipsnade tomorrow. Ash and I are doing 'race support'!!!
If this meet-up is to become a regular can we do a different w/e please?

Have a good w/e everyone

K, T, and A

browniechick · 07/10/2006 10:11

Hello! Just a quick post before manic party prep starts!!!

Diege / Rodeo - just replied via yahoo about tommorrow!! (can't believ it is so close!) Anyway, probably won't get much chance to check mail etc during today, but maybe a sneaky look later! But essentially, see you both around 11am tomorrow, by the Fountain, which is near the main RSC theatre, there are loads of seats around there too - any probs give me a call on my mobile, can't wait!

TessasMum - am sure we can change the weekend if others would like a regular meet in Stratford - it only ended up this late cos we were all booked up before now!

Anyway, must go, loads to get sorted!

B

ChaCha · 07/10/2006 16:40

Afternoon! Yay, some catch up time!

Meet up sounds great, hope you have some good weather and enjoy yourselves

Beks & Chully - Sorry to hear your LO's are under the weather, get well soon!
GG - Also sorry to hear about your DP , how awful but thumbs up for getting reg plate down! Btw, (you weren't being nosey at all) had to see consultant to discuss whether I was going to opt for an elective section or try for VBAC. She just went through all the formalities with me explaining risks with both and asked which i'd prefer etc. I'm going for VBAC but am happy to have section if things don't progress the way they should.

Nova - Hope all is well with you and bump.
L&Smum - Have you started work yet and if so, what's it like to be back? Good to see you post btw, it's been a while.

Does BoB still post? Quite a few names that I haven't seen during my catch up - hope all is well.

Our 20week scan went v.well, everything seems fine and I enjoyed having a proper look at the baby. Feeling all the movements now so reassuring to say the least - seems strange to feel them this early though.
Have finally bit the bullet and decluttered what i can in the house. So far we have 13 black bags and 3 boxes for tomorrow's carboot sale. I am still sorting through clothes. Can no longer live the lie that I will fit into size 12's next year so am being ruthless and getting rid of all. I can actually see floor space now and DH finally has his office back (if only in a room the size of a box) - yippee!

Back to the declutter then.
Oh, Whose b'day is next pls from our little ones would you mind posting some addresses on our Y group pls? I'd like to send some cards if that's ok.

Take care girls - catch up in week x

Rodeo · 07/10/2006 18:00

Righto, Just a quick post to say 11 by the fountain! Sounds great, really looking forward to it! And Diege, she does look like you, maybe more so in the programme!
Chacha, great stuff about scan news! Did you not find out this time?!? Please tell!! Hope you make lots of cash at the car boot.
Really nice idea about the cards! I'll put my address on Yahoo, Jess's birthday is this Tuesday Natalie's birthday is next on the 15th, I do have her address somewhere I think, I'll add it on later in the week if it's ok with Nova.
Right see you tomorrow girls Bye x x x

GarfieldsGirl · 07/10/2006 20:50

Hi!

So exciting ChaCha. Glad baby looks OK, I bet you're always looking at those scan photos now! Good too that you've got all your options sorted. Well done on that declutter, I've never managed it, I just can't get up that early for car boot sales so end up bombarding the charity shops .

Thats a great idea about sending birthday cards, BTW, to all the little 1 year olds!

Have a fab day tomorrow Rodeo, Diege & Brownie. Lots of photos please!

Thanks for all yuor wishes for DP. Unfortunately he only managed to get the 1st part of the registration, (although it was an old one so they should hopefully still be able to trace it). There were 2 ladies who helped him up and saw it all, and also a car that had to swerve away from the Jag, but in all the shock he didn't think to get their details so the police have said its unlikely anything will come of it. Grrrr! At least he's OK, thats the main thing.

Hope all the poorly little ones are OK now.

Diege · 07/10/2006 23:21

Hi! Won't be on now until tommorrow night, so yes, 11 at the fountain!!! Hear's hoping for good weather!
Good to hear from you CHACHA, and great news about the scan . Grrrr GG about the bike situation; hopefully the police can at least trace the car through the partial reg? (they alays seem to on the telly!); hope it hasn't put dp off cycling.
Right, see you Rodeo and Brownie tommorrow!!!

Evening . Thanks for a lovely afternoon RODEO and BROWNIE, and your lovely families of course! We had a great time, and the girls talked about it non-stop on the way home, esp. the park , ('soooo cool' according to dd1)
We got back fine, though had a bit of a delay on the way back. Hope you both had safe journeys . Off to bed now, having caught up on a mammoth repeat of x-factor on ITV 2 .
Good to hear from you TWINKLE! Sorry about your FIL - what a nightmare ; on a happier note, Josh sounds great fun, and I love the names of your 2 new additions! Re: meeting up, I don't work on Wednesdays now, so name your date! I'll have dds 2&3, but we can manage the train no probs .

Currently scaring myself to death watching Derek Acorah's Ghost Towns - with Myleene Klass screaming her head off! ( I know, I'm so sad!) Saw X-factor last night, Diege, it was so brill!
Twinkle, great to hear from you Sorry your FIL is still so ill It must be so draining for all of you. Hope we can fit in a Meadowhall Christmas shop soon, we'll see if we can arrange something with Diege & L&Smum.

sarahsausage · 09/10/2006 09:54

Hope everyone is well and all your babies are doing well.

I'm pregnant again after i took the morning after pill, which obviously didnt work. Only about 4 weeks though loooong way to go.

Rodeo · 09/10/2006 11:12

SS WOW! Hello!! Your right, you've not been on for ages!! How are your LO's? And another on the way! You have been busy Aww, seriously, congratulations and it's lovely to hear from you again
What a grotty morning! Made even worse by my morning on internet banking - it's pretty dire [gulp] Oh well, it's only money!
Anyway I have basket loads of washing to catch up on, as usual, so speak later x x x

novadandypowder · 09/10/2006 11:45

Glad the meet-up went well and I second Tessasmums request for piccies.

Getting all excited about Noo turning one, I think I might actually cry on the day, how tragic .

Bump is doing well, but I don't have that much time to think about it at the mo. Sickness is still hanging around which is poo. Anomoly scan in 4wks time. Just getting on with this one really, and very excited about it . Really really really looking forward to having another one.

Rodeo, I have no probs with you putting my addy on yahoo, if I get the time I'll do it myself, but with my memory I wouldn't count on it.

browniechick · 09/10/2006 21:08

Hey All!! Thanks for a fab day Rodeo & Diege!!
You and your families are just as fabulous in RL as I'd imagined!!! Am looking forward to next time already!
Will try to post the pics on yahoo over the next couple of days, although think Diege has the only Group Shot! (although I have got a fab one of Thomas with his "harem"! )

Ok girls, am now on the look out for a new Changing bag, as mine has started to come unstitched....(DH thinks that any excuse and I need to buy a new one, butI say "No", I NEED one!!!! ) Was perhaps thinking a Skip-Hop Duo in the lush blue camouflge (to match my snuggly cosy toes bought last year!) Anyone experienced Skip-Hop, or any other recommendations? Skip-Hop seem a tad expensive at £50 a throw, but don't mind if it will last.....Come-on you shopaholics you, am needing your help!!!!!

Hope all are well, hello to Bob - please come back, we miss you.....Chacha - how you doin girl? Nova, hope that sickiness gives you arest soon...
Oh, bum, forgot to show you my tattoo! Will attempt to caputre a decent phot and add to yahoo....if you're interested.....understand if you're not though!

Anyway, hello to all others I;ve not mentioned by name,

Brownie

Beksmum · 09/10/2006 21:20

Sounds like you had a good meet up ladies, glad you had fun but am very Still will definitely make the next one.

Just in case I don't manage to post tomorrow Happy 1st Birthday Jess Hope you have lots of fun at your toddler group, make sure you cover mummy in lots of sticky cake

SS welcome back, congratulations how lovey to hear your pregnant, so when will it be due then as we're trying to get one baby a month at present but I'm definitely not volunteering!

Nova glad to hear that bean is developing well, a real pain on the ms front though, hope it wears off soon, but you were like this last time round as well weren't you?

Twinkle good to see you too, your job sounds really interesting, but must have a huge pull on you emotionally doesn't it? Glad to hear Josh is still as gorgeous as ever, he must be a ray of sunlight for you at the moment.

Nothing new to report here so will sign off, speak to you all again soon Beks

ChaCha · 09/10/2006 22:02

Hello Twinkle - Nice to see you post. Your job sounds really interesting, by nature you seem a very selfless person always helping others and being there for them - your line of work seems to reflect this too. I think it's great! Well done.

SS - We haven't seen you for ages. A big congratulations on your PG. Hope to hear more from you soon.

Brownie - Haven't a clue about bags but I know someone who will You shoppers you!!

Rodeo - A very Happy Birthday for our little J tomorrow? What have you planned? I have just been on Y but don't see any address so other than sending a belated card a big Happy B'day from us. Look fwd to all the news.

Beks - Hi [waves] How's everything? Builders? Colds? etc.. Hope things are improving.

Nova - Sounding in good spirits, hope the MS is getting better

Hi to Diege and everyone else.

Some baby chat...

DS dropped his afternoon nap today and i remembered (Nova I think) mentioning this not so long ago. I am sooooo hoping that this is the result of his 24 hour play friend and companion (my mum) leaving earlier today after being with us all weekend - he seemed a little disorientated after she left as did I with no leisurely afternoon baths and basic me time. Oh well! What about everyone else? The cot never worked for us so we are still co-sleeping, the LO sleeps between 9 and 11pm - is he the only one? I'm finding it a bit tiring now. Other than that he's trying desperately hard to talk, has a really funny language of his own that has me in stitches and he's still cruising around. Can i ask for more updates on the other LO's. With DS being the youngest (I think) it's really helps when i pass the milestones that you've all reached and remember all the advice given. Ta, talk later x

tessasmum · 10/10/2006 07:29

HAPPY BIRTHDAY JESS

Still can't get bold to work though I know I'm doing what it says
