P has a bath in the big bath sitting in her seat. Just before taking her out DH likes to give her some 'free form splishing' and holds her while she swishes about. The seat is nice for making her secure but the water never covers her tummy.

Gro Anywhere blackout blind installed. Very effective!

I am going to start making up purées next week I think. P's consultant appointment came through for the 14th May so I think I may wait until then to actually start giving solids. We will wait and see.

Baby Sensory appears to be P's favourite place for showing off new skills - today's was unsupported sitting. She cheats a bit by resting her hands on her legs so she is bent over. She sat like that for a looong time though.

Just when I thought we were getting somewhere with milk P has had another day of complete refusal, letting it dribble out the side of her mouth, screaming and gargling before spitting it out. There doesn't seem to be any rhyme or reason to it. Ah well.

I put P to bed nearly two hours ago and she has barely moved a muscle. She has totally worn herself out today! Hours of bouncing, singing, entertaining my friends with her awesome raspberry blowing skillz seems to be the key to self settling! It has been loads of fun but I am completely and utterly wrecked.

I will be fine, not really needing a rant, but here is a snippet:

DH has decided to go vegan. Just like that. Like having a lodger with his own shelf of shite, cooking separate meals, not eating together, no doubt expensive too. Sometimes he is such a twat.

I am having a 44 year growth spurt.

Passmethecrisps · 19/04/2013 20:57

Cross posted.

Sounds shite VQ. Sorry you had a shite Friday.

Hia cacacaz!

PetiteRaleuse · 19/04/2013 20:58

Ooops. Flowers

I am off to bed so I don't have to talk to the afore mentioned twat, so do not worry about me. I will catch up at night feed.

It really helps to know you guys care x

Passmethecrisps · 19/04/2013 20:59

Sorry. But what the actual fuck? Fucking vegan? Is he having a fucking laugh?

Blimey. That has made me quite cross.

BigPigLittlePig · 19/04/2013 21:00

VQ get some bacon. Nobody can resist the smell of bacon. What a wally.

F woke up with a scream, a proper "I'm hurting" bellow. Not sure why. Calpol on board and now she's settled a treat. Teeth? Constipation? Reflux? Why don't they come with a manual??

She has always had baths in the big bath, with a bath seat in. She's now able to sort of body pop her way out of it, with her over-enthusiastic kicking and splashing.

Evilwater · 19/04/2013 21:01

He is now! What a bloody nightmare. All of sudden, he's stopped going to sleep at bedtime! Confused why? Just why?

Lets see....
Poo- yes he is pooing more. Some a stinkers to be sure.
Weaning- going well, but today fussed loads.
P - thinks he knows it all!

Evil

PetiteRaleuse · 19/04/2013 21:01

:o @ 44 yr growth spurt. I suppose you can put him in charge of LO's weaning for the next few weeks. You can add fish and meat as and when. With mid life crises come responsibilities.

PR that is genius! Daddy Led Weaning!

Passmethecrisps · 19/04/2013 21:05

I didn't get a manual either BP. What is with that? Either a manual or some sort of LED with error codes you can google.

PetiteRaleuse · 19/04/2013 21:08

Yes we care vq

My news. Went to gp. She pushed on my cheek bone and I screamed. Sinus fucking itis. I understand why LO was so upset. Am on amoxycillin. Hope it doesn't give me the same sharty reaction as LO :o

I am Blush to say I asked. The Dr said, erm, well you took it in December, did you shart then? No. Ok.

Cacacaz · 19/04/2013 21:12

VQ I think your Dh is being very selfish, flipping Nora I would go ballistic if my Dh said that. Twat!

Howdy Pass

Pennie it's for a Scottish charity called Aberlour. It is part time hours, ideal for me working with children with SEN in a respite unit. My presentation is to be based on the health and well being indicators in Scotland, known as SHANNARI. I need to show how I would evidence that I promote and embrace the SHANNARI indicators in my practice. Gah Confused

Passmethecrisps · 19/04/2013 21:17

Oh how I love the shannari indicators! Aberlour sell delicious sweeties which are guilt free because they are for charity.

Cacacaz · 19/04/2013 21:25

Aren't they just magnificent Pass I am a stress ball just thinking about them and how on earth I will be able to discuss them within 10 minutes without sounding like a don't have a fecking clue!

Izzybuzzybuzzybees · 19/04/2013 21:26

cacacaz well done on the interview. I'm sure you will rock the presentation, I've done few over the years but never childcare related. PowerPoint is your friend!

Im concerned about feeding in public in Ibiza, anyone use a nursing cover? I was thinking that way I could pop a whole boob out but hidden?? Clothes for holiday is proving difficult for discrete feeding but I've got a couple if strapless dresses that if I was under a cover would maybe work!

BigPigLittlePig · 19/04/2013 21:32

Izzy my standard bf attire is a vest top underneath a normal top top. Lift top top up and vest top down and voila, a boob is revealed. If you just wear a vest top, and use a pretty lightweight scarf around your shoulders, would that work? You can hide quite a lot behind a scarf I've tried

Cacacaz · 19/04/2013 21:35

Izzy I was given a mamascarf, I haven't used it though. There are videos on the website which make it look straightforward to use. I would probably just use a large muslin.

I'm rather excited my parents are arriving back from Australia tonight. I cannot wait to take M to visit them tomorrow, he hasn't seen them for weeks.

GTbaby · 19/04/2013 21:41

Thanks for the bath Q detective! I was wondering this the other day looking at bath seats thinking "I don't wana spend 30quid" Hmm I know I know but trying to tighten belt with another year of maternity on the way.

Will try 1" of water idea. I have a little stool to sit with him. N get some bath toys. He splashes his feet around in his baby bath now so will deff need to move to big boy bath.

FatimaLovesBread · 19/04/2013 21:43

Thanks for the tops suggestions. I like the New Look ones detective

I'm venturing in to Leeds on the train with my mum on Thursday so had thought about going to Bravissimo stunt. I'm in a 32GG at the moment but I think the 32 might be a bit big round my back now I've lost the baby weight

Izzy I've been thinking similar about feeding on holiday. I might just whack a whole boob out and take a scarf.
I'm more concerned about going to watch DH play cricket. The season starts tomorrow and it's a long day and I'm feeling a bit dodge about feeding there. Think I'll just have to whop them out whilst spectating

Izzybuzzybuzzybees · 19/04/2013 21:43

big I normally do the that but I know I'd be too hot abroad at least it better be too hot!!

cacacaz I've had a look at feeding covers but wasn't sure the best/easiest one to get. I don't have big muslins and thought maybe a cover would work better and be more fool proof boobproof even

clarella thanks for the zulily heads up. I ordered two hot milk bra and knicker sets :-)
