I got another iPad. Apparently the other one was possessedGrin.

Happy with this one.

Weaning. This is my plan:
7 bottle
8 breakfast
10 bottle
12 lunch
14.30 bottle
5 dinner
6.30 bottle
10.30 bottle if needed

Than with time I will drop the 10 am bottle first than the 2.30 one. We shall see.

Checking in. Have been thinking of weaning. I'm unsure what to do. J is 24 weeks and 2 days. We go on holiday when he is 27 weeks exactly so I would have had him on solids for only a week before we go (Ibiza all inclusive). Two options...

A) wean him as normal and take baby rice and pouches or
B) delay weaning til we are home when he will be 28 weeks

Opinions? If its magically gonna help him sleep I'd choose A but B seems easiest!!

Fatima I have this nursing bra in a 32H (WTAF?) and I luffs it. I also have this Freya one.

I'm completely clueless about this weaning lark. What is a papaya? Do you have to cook it? Do they even sell them in Northern Ireland? I would never have thought of feeding leek or avocado to a baby. How do I have two children with wide and adventurous food tastes exactly? I have ordered this book in the hope it will help.

J licked a piece of cucumber in Pizza Express today and made this face Hmm I had Calzone and it wasn't nice, just like a big Findus Crispy Pancake.

Stunt it's a exotic fruit... Orange flesh and big seeds. Like all weaning foods it's orange and makes orange poo!

Pikz · 19/04/2013 19:36

I'm sulking. DP doing his bath because I am just so fucking damn sore. How I am going to manage 8.30-5 study day tomorrow is beyond me. But I've fucking paid so I'm going.

VQ Where are you today? Hope all is okay in Valium Castle!

Talking of baths - is anyone else not using any seat at all? Have put O directly in the bath with a small amount of water a couple of times. He absolutely loves this, especially now he can roll, and lift himself up etc. He's never left alone obviously, and he can get out the bloody bath seat anyway. Is this okay?

Hello.

Beautiful day here. Too knackered to type much.

izzy I would wait personally. Unless he seems mega keen.

Be back soon.

Det we used the baby bath about twice. He either gets a deep bath to swim in, with continuous support from me, or dp has him splash around on his back in 1" water. We don't take our eyes off either way, but a seat is an unnecessary expense imo.

det I don't put sinead in her baby bath anymore, she much prefers being in the big bath in very shallow water, she loved bath time anyway but now she's got more 'freedom' so to speak gets even more excited tries to forget about the £30 I spent on a second baby bath from mamas and papas that she only used twice trouble is she screams even more than before now when I take her out, I think she'd stay in the bath all night if I let her!

stunt avocado is great all mashed up. A real super food packed with vitamins and sweet. Has to be ripe though. DD1 still loves it.

IzzyI wasnt looking forward to weaning at all, but it hasn't been as much disruption to our freedom as i thought. i'm quite enjoying this new chapter but it did disrupt his sleep for a while and he'll be out of his normal environment being on holiday so maybe best to wait until you get back or do a few tastes without getting into a proper routine with it.
Pikz his poo is more regular now, every two days and its so much thicker now and smells a bit more.
We still use the baby bath but i think we are going to stop soon. We didn't have a seat. DH just holds him.
Purple i'm not sure about the mango freezing, i would like to know myself. Also banana, has anyone tried freezing mashed banana??

pikz I think a slowing down of poo at the beginning is normal. Or it could go the other way. This is why the three day thing of introducing new food slowly is good. Helps the little bowels get used to the new exciting stuff.

I'm here. Fucked off, but here. Fucked off with my Mum, and DH and both DDs. J is awesome. My little buddy. Was slightly tempted to just fuck off somewhere with just him. Just for a brief moment.

I will be ok. Just fucked off.

J will be having a bottle if he wakes in the night, and that makes me sad. It is for the best though.

izzy start when you're ready. Or baby is. Holiday or not. You'll be easily able to do blw on holiday but take a few fruit puree pouches to be sure. Babies tend to take great leaps on holiday. So much new stuff to explore.

Hello everyone Smile

Izzy I would probably wait, but that's because I'm a lazy arse

Evil hopefully LO is now fast asleep

Detective we use a mamas and papas bath support, although he wriggles loads so doubt we will be using it for much longer.

I have an interview for my dream job in just over a week. It is for a childrens charity as a childcare worker. Its fair to say I am shitting myself so unbelievably nervous as I have to do a presentation. I haven't ever had to this for a job interview. Any advice will be greatly welcomed.
