I'll pop on some sudoocream then and see if that helps, and be extra careful about the drying. Doesn't help that her scrumptious, chunky thighs mean extra knee creases Grin
Might have to invest in some Aveeno
VQ Just loked on Boots and they have 1/3 off Aveeno

ChasingDaisy · 16/04/2013 13:55

Ooh I might stock up.

ChunkyChicken · 16/04/2013 14:35

Not caught up, been stupidly busy again!!! But if I don't say this here, now, I may be done for murder.

My DD is seriously testing my patience & pushing the boundaries. I know its totally normal & think I've been lucky with her behaviour up until now but OMG is she pushing her goddamn luck lately. Arggghhhh!!!!

Sophiathesnowfairy · 16/04/2013 14:53

Arrrrggggghhhhhwith you chunky hope your day starts looking up. Thanks

Sophiathesnowfairy · 16/04/2013 14:54

My whole team at work is busy ordering the Aveeno off Boots now fatima Grin

Passmethecrisps · 16/04/2013 14:55

Thanks to jumperoo our stairs have been vacuumed. Ace.

Rant away chunky

It is so damned windy here and I need to go out.

Think I'll buy P a snickers - peanuts are one of you 5 a day right?

Ok. Need to rescue the bin.

Passmethecrisps · 16/04/2013 14:57

Epic combination = p in Jumperoo and cat standing watching. P jumps with extra excitement.

ValiumQueen · 16/04/2013 15:05

chunky I feel your pain. Considering our girls share a birthday hopefully you are reassured this is normal. I had heard age 3 is when they get an iota of sense so I guess they are making the best of the last few days of being 2. Nothing works with Boo at the moment. Absolutely nothing.

ValiumQueen · 16/04/2013 15:06

pass no wonder she sleeps well.

PetiteRaleuse · 16/04/2013 15:11

Agh I have a year of this ahead? DD1 is being a real PITA. Everything is non non non. How do you discipline a child who is still pretty much a baby? It's deliberate but I know it.s not mean. She's just testing boundaries I guess but OMG I am looking forward to the day she can be reasoned with.

ChasingDaisy · 16/04/2013 15:16

I am now dreading Oscar turning two...

PetiteRaleuse · 16/04/2013 15:16

And I believe the hitting and pinching ect is supposed to be affectionate at this age? Oh it is so affectionate it brings tears to my eyes.

MadamGazelleIsMyMum · 16/04/2013 15:20

DD is only just 2. Surely she should get more reasonable?

ValiumQueen · 16/04/2013 15:23

Me: Boo please stop (insert naughtiness of choice)
Boo: no
Me: please stop doing that, or I will take you up to bed early
Boo: me want go bed

Or
Me: please stop doing that, or I will give you a smack
Boo: me want smack

Or
Me: please stop doing that and we will go to the park after (whatever)
Boo: me no want park

Aaarrrrggggghhhh!

PetiteRaleuse · 16/04/2013 15:26

Yes vq that is it. Another year of that? Argh.

I swear DD has already perfected the Gallic shrug. Threaten me with what you like I really am not bothered. At all.

ValiumQueen · 16/04/2013 15:26

Yesterday when we got in from the dentist I said to DD2 that DD1 had a very sore mouth and she was not to touch her face. Within seconds I had to loosen her grip on the dressing hanging out of DD1s mouth.

PetiteRaleuse · 16/04/2013 15:29

DD1 leave the dog alone. Leave the dog alone. LEAVE THE DOG ALONE. Dog, go outside.

Five minutes later, dog barks, has to be let in.

Repeat. All. Day. Long.

TheDetective · 16/04/2013 15:29

To reassure DS1 was a pain in the ass baby although in retrospect he wasn't so bad I suppose... Or do I just have Rose tinted glasses now?! but at 10.5 months he found his feet and that was that. He turned into angel child overnight! Shock

He didn't go through terrible twos and was just angelic pretty much til 7. That's when me and his dad split up, and very slowly he's changed. Now he's a cheeky prenager. Thinks he knows it all, and answers you like you're his mate. Thinks he's good at lying. He isn't!

So we got a good 7 years of loveliness! I'm sure it will come back in a few years. Underneath it all he's a good egg!

ValiumQueen · 16/04/2013 15:29

She turns 3 on Saturday, so yes, another year potentially. Although your DD will be more used to having a sibling by then, and they will happily play with each other pr Grin

PetiteRaleuse · 16/04/2013 15:30

VQ had the don't touch the soreness conversation before DH came back from his snip a few weeks ago. How long before she butted him in the balls? About 7 minutes.

PetiteRaleuse · 16/04/2013 15:31

Yes but by then DD2 will be starting the non phase. Can I not go back to the clinic and ask for them to be put back in for a couple of years? OK it might be a little uncomfortable for me ...

Then there's the tantrums sparked off by you haven't a freaking clue what, because they get so worked up they can't even point to what it was that bothereed them. If indeed they can remember. Agh.

BigPigLittlePig · 16/04/2013 15:41

I'm not sure it gets better, ever. Not if this Fred is anything to go by.

PetiteRaleuse · 16/04/2013 15:43

OMG I don't blame her I'd have been torn between chucking the xbox or him out :o
