I'm quite envious of those of you with routine.
One day, one day

Off to bed - here's hoping F sleeps enough so I can drive dahn sarf to meet evil and the lovely N tomorrow.

PetiteRaleuse · 09/04/2013 21:53

Weather forecast has gone up ton21 and sunny for Sunday. Please let this be true.

MissMummy1 · 09/04/2013 21:54

Lovely day with lovely ladies. Smile VQ J is as gorgeous as ever! Pass has a boinging jockey in the making. My M was making eyes at Cacacaz ' M and Izzy 's J and Matilda made us both look like liars by having a wee snooze!

Strange one at work tonight. New client. Already whinging about my fees. This one will be fun Hmm .

M threw up all over my mum when I was out. In her hair, down her top, everywhere!! Envy

Sophiathesnowfairy · 09/04/2013 21:55

pass why don't you try dropping the 4:30. Make the feeds at 7:30,10:30 and 6:30 slightly bigger and cut a bit out of your 1:30( and try to move it closer to 2) so she takes a good feed at 6:30 to help her bulk up for the nights sleep.

TooManyDicksOnTheDancefloor · 09/04/2013 21:57

pass-I don't know how much B is taking as she's BF but she definitely feeds for longer and doesn't mess around as much now she's four hourly. Your feeds are a bit clustered towards the evening so she's probably not very hungry.

MissMummy1 · 09/04/2013 22:09

Fucking hell. I think Tilly might have just self settled without tears for the first time ever! A little bit of hand holding and she was out for the count!

I give her 20 mins tops

Izzybuzzybuzzybees · 09/04/2013 22:13

Fingers crossed MM!

I had a lovely day at the meet. Was so nice talking to other mums with babies around the same age. I'm still in shock at James having not one but two naps! He's currently wide awake kicking about on the floor showing I signs of wanting to eat or sleep :-(

I'm tired!

Kyzordz · 09/04/2013 22:19

pass I have tried dropping Eric's dream feed to see if it helps with the other bottles. That means he is only being offered 4 during the day though which I am a bit worried about. He was drinking about 37-40oz, I have with a fight maintained this because of the df, however I was thinking that perhaps he is growing less rapidly and needing less milk, so I thought I'd try this approach. Yesterday I did not push the issue too much and he took 28oz, today he took 28 1/2. I could get another 8 in with the df but if he keeps sleeping through i am assuming he does not need it? To me its a huge deal as he wolfed down 10oz more a couple of weeks ago easily and would often seem hungry still. If in 3 days time (it is 3 days to see a change isn't it?) he isn't drinking with less of a fight I could re-instate the df, but is 28oz really that small an amount? I don't know If to be grateful he is drinking that much or worry that it is a chunk off his usual!

Anyway, what I meant was, I would try dropping the df and see what happens. I am accepting results are not instant and babies are trial and error repeats lots to get it to sink in

E has had rusk again today. He eats 1/2 a rusk made with 1/2oz milk. He started this behaviour before food so he hasn't caused it, and he eats with more enthusiasm than he drinks so I am going to keep offering it him and see what happens. Might have to move away from rusk at some point though!!

Glad you all enjoyed your meet up :)

I used to travel with work. If I go back to my current job I shouldn't have to, but if I go for something in the same field but elsewhere I'd be lucky to avoid it. Years ago when I lived in London I had to travel every month or so and hated everything about it and that was before I had children. I don't want to have to do it in the future.

kirrinIsland · 09/04/2013 23:11

Evening all :)

Glad the meet went well.

Sophia N doesn't have a rash on her face, but she does have it on her hands - I assume from chewing them all day long. I am reluctant to put anything on it as I think it needs to dry out more than anything. It is also better in the miring and gets steadily worse all day.

Like stunt despite having a shocking sleeper, I am still keen on having another. Just not yet! N will have to be at least 2 before I even think about it, but the fact that 5 months of no sleep haven't put me off is a pretty good sign that it is what I want just need to convince DP

Potty training has begun in our house! DD1 seems to have decided she's ready so we're going for it whilst at home - no accidents yet! She still in nappies when out and about as I don't think she's ready for that yet and i don't want to put her off.

Izzybuzzybuzzybees · 09/04/2013 23:16

Bedtime in the buzzy household. Maybe meeting so many well behaved good sleeping babies may mean James has a try at sleeping better tonight?! Nope don't think so but I'm ever hopeful!

GTbaby · 09/04/2013 23:28

First night feed done. Hope he goes to 4.30. I'm going to work tomorrow to Tell my colleague I'm pregnant Blush not sure how ill break it...
From everything I hear she has been filing my boots well and may be glad of another year in charge. Or she is hating it Shockwill find out soon.

Am 15 weeks along now. Goes so quickly! Glad some of you are thinking about nxt babies lolWink don't let me be the only one having my nxt for too long. And also we need someone else we can tell the shocking news to our partners about!

My question. Do I NEED to buy new bottles for nxt baby? I have 4 tiny TT ones. 6 white large bottles all hardly used. And 6 blue large bottles which I used most of the time. Can't I just buy new teats?

StuntNun · 09/04/2013 23:30

I just bought new teats GT, the bottles are on the third baby!

kirrinIsland · 10/04/2013 00:05

Grr. Think tonight is gonna be a shocker. She usually goes straight into her cot after a bottle of ebm, but so far I've had 2 failed transfers :(

LuisGarcia · 10/04/2013 00:12

weary fistbump for you, kirrin

MaMaPo · 10/04/2013 00:19

I'll join in, Kirrin and Luis. Onto the second feed already - I suspect I'll be popping in frequently.

Clarella · 10/04/2013 00:32

well I just slept solidly for 3 hours! fab Smile I'm confused as to what exactly has gone on since I've been asleep ( got a bit shirty when I kept asking Grin ) but dh has basically picked up and pretty much put down once, and done some hand holds/ hand on heads which has kept lo asleep ish 8-11:45 - basically no feeds but he's not cried at all for them, just a bit of help resettling before he properly woke up. (he totally can't resettle any more)

but we can still do this now as it's a bedside cot. if it helps its worth a try.

Im sort of of the opinion he can't resettle at the mo without a bit of help but breaking the feed association is a good thing as he's actually gone 4 hours without and I've managed to get him to feed for much longer just now. so should last technically! feels ok as he's definitely not ill now.

I soooo wish I'd swaddled. we were told not to. and then recently a hv said for naps wrap him up (swaddle) but leave hands free as that's how they self settle. however, I now realise his longest independent naps are in the pram when out in a cafe with lots of blankets/ snow suit over his bottom half. so trialling a thin sheet tightly tucked over his sleeping bag just under arms and a heavy blanket over his feet in an effort to hold him down a bit - it looks very old fashioned. it's not particularly warmer for him as top half still exposed. if it works it's a damn sight safer than the bf pillow he ended up on from 4 last night! what do the quiche think?

interestingly again - we use weighted blankets for calming some of the asd kids at school, they do feel nice when you try them!

Lily311 · 10/04/2013 00:33

I am here. First feed of the night. She had an amazing 6.5 hours stretch.

Clarella · 10/04/2013 00:34

Sad kirrin luis mama - I'll be with you from now on I reckon.....

itsnotyouitsMeals · 10/04/2013 01:26

Hey all! Sleep regression, a weekend in London (and a night out!), a tow truck back to Oxford with a broken down car, a defunct boiler so no hot water or heat and here we are. Am half caught up but wanted to say hi.

Sorry to hear about poorly baby pr, fucking redundancy fatima, reflux bplp and cmpi vq. Happy birthday belatedly to mm and stunt. I know there's more but need to catch up properly. Thinking of you lily

Controversially maybe, I did 'pure' BLW with DD1 and will with DD2 pending advice from paed as we got a referral for DD2 as am off dairy and soya. I just couldn't face purees and wanted to eat myself as I am greedy hence needing to lose 2 stone still

bplp you mentioned Minehead. I was born and grew up there!

Um, I have a Manduca which I love, whoever asked about slings.

And DD1 didn't have formula when I went back to work she just reverse cycled like stunt explained. She's three and I still feed her at bedtime. I wish I didn't!!

Anyway hope ladies and luis are sleeping.
Meals x

itsnotyouitsMeals · 10/04/2013 01:28

Oh. See you're not getting sleep luis. Or mama kirrin clarella. Am going to try to zzzz now. FC for you guys. X

itsnotyouitsMeals · 10/04/2013 01:29

And lily. Sleep dust all round

ValiumQueen · 10/04/2013 01:31

Back to frequent night waking it seems Hmm woke at midnight and now 1.30. Sounds and looks as if he is in pain again. More vomiting and these are very acidic. If he wakes again tonight I am not sure I will be waiting until baby clinic on Thursday.

Just in time for fucking cunting sweary Wednesday. Hmm
