I'm sure she'll pick up pr with her drinking :) keep an eye on her soft spot and her smiles and as I'm sure you know just keep a look out for any other signs of her not being well. Bet she'll make up for it in a couple of days!

YellowWellies · 09/04/2013 17:01

Though my niece's HB was over 200 BPM and her oxygen SATs

PetiteRaleuse · 09/04/2013 17:12

She opens her mouth to feed then spits it out. And gets angry. Then after a few more hours she'll go oh go on then and have a bit. Tiredness only sign though have popped a pic up on fb.

ValiumQueen · 09/04/2013 17:26

Had a lovely day at the meet. Feeling so much better, although more concerned about J. Very helpful talking to the other mums about things.

It is Jacobs fault there was no pic as he fell asleep. Sorry. There is however a pic of James asleep! Yes! Asleep!

PetiteRaleuse · 09/04/2013 17:28

It's certainly been quiet on here without you guys

Clarella · 09/04/2013 17:31

congrats bigpig!!!!!

toomany that is really bad. Sad Angry check the 4 mo as up here it's definitely 6 mo - someone in our lll group's tie had re attached and they had to get it in before 6 mo. we were 15 weeks and it was nothing. I was very pleased to hear the midwife led unit are going to do some training on tt up here and make it a priority.

delighted that lo fed twice sitting in my lap in a cafe today with no issues!!Grin

pr I'm afraid I don't know but you could post in feeding? god it's so tough for you hon. if she seems ok I guess that's something and keep an eye on her soft spot.

fruitpastilles · 09/04/2013 17:44

So glad it's nearly bed time. Bath at 6, bottle at 6:30 and bed at 6:45. Dp working till 10pm so I will actually get a bit of me time tonight.

Clarella · 09/04/2013 17:50

oops messed up the 'routine' - G has just fed both sides (yay!) before bath instead of a nap.... there had better be room for more!! I wonder if tonight's the magic night of more sleep?

PetiteRaleuse · 09/04/2013 17:59

I tend not to start child health threads. They can get very hysterical and a lot of the advice - nhs 24, ooh and hvs don't apply to me being abroad. I'm not too worried for now. Assuming a sore throat.

I have some of that rehydration solution but not sure about using it. Can't monitor nappies brilliantly as she is on amoxycollin so sharting all the time.

TheDetective · 09/04/2013 18:31

PR O has fed less the last few days and slept more but he seems well. When I read your post from this afternoon saying she had taken 8oz, O had taken 11oz by the same time. He took a futher 6oz about 5pm, and depending on his bed time ish feed, he may only take 20-22oz today. He took slightly less than this yesterday.

Is her soft spot sunken? Lips/tongue dry? If you google dehydration in babies, you will get a list of the main symptoms to be aware of. Then you can observe overnight, and take her to the paed tomorrow perhaps?

Chasing Since we have been here in Switzerland, O has suddenly taken to sleeping in the moses basket all night. He would come in bed with us after his 6am feed previously. Was worried as we are on a sofa bed that doesn't feel safe for co-sleeping, but he just didn't need to bunk in with us! I hope he keeps it up when we get home. Am tempted to move him back in with us in the moses basket!!!!

I feel much more refreshed with him doing 4-6am, and then going back down til 7.30-8am. Today, he only woke when my alarm went off again, at 8am (which is 9am here, we are keeping him to BST to make things easier). So whatever is going on, he's doing it all in his own sweet time. Please keep this up at home O, PLEASE!

TheDetective · 09/04/2013 18:34

The way to monitor urine output is to weigh the nappies. 1g equal 1ml.

Weigh a dry nappy first, so you know what the starting weight is!

Of course, I don't know what the output should be at this age, but I'm sure you will be able to get the answer on google!

chunky we have decided to have just three of her friends from nursery and her siblings obviously. It will be in the soft play at BK. she will love it. Cannot cope with anything more exciting than that tbh, especially as J is not right at the moment. Peppa Pig theme.

PetiteRaleuse · 09/04/2013 18:49

Thing is every nappy has at least a shart in it..
She's at 9oz now. Almost 10.

TheDetective · 09/04/2013 19:13

A big one or little one? If it is only small should not matter. Plus it's liquid?!

YellowWellies · 09/04/2013 19:31

VQ it was very lovely to meet you and your wee man (and pass, Izzy and cacacaz) we had a great time putting names to faces and seeing the characters our wee rascals have. Jacob is a gorgeous boy with a heart melting smile - he seems a very chilled soul too (not quite as chilled as James - who was so laid back as to be horizontal!!!) please don't worry about the CMPI its a PITA but 90% outgrow it by 6 months, 95% by 12 months and 99% by 2 years - its much less of a 'sentence' than lactose intolerance though it might make weaning a bit more of a faff.

BigPigLittlePig · 09/04/2013 19:33

So the GP trip was a success - ranitidine is now safely in Fs tummy, hopefully working its magic. The GP seems nice, if a bit scatty. He forgot to call us in, so we merrily waited in the waiting room for 30 mins and F entertained the masses with her shrieks and constipated grunts. He did say something which made me laugh though - he looked at F as we were leaving, and said "you know, some babies have faces and you think, only a mothers love, but F, she is actually really cute". Brilliant.

PR she seems happy enough in the pic on FB, so if she is producing heavy nappies and smiling, and doesn't have a crater in the top of her head instead of a fontanelle, I wouldn't be too worried. Easier said than done though, I know.

Glad the Scotland meet went well, although genuinely a bit gutted about lack of hotdog photo. Obviously pleased J was sleeping next time poke him though, ok?

Sophiathesnowfairy · 09/04/2013 19:41

Is anyone,or indeed their babies, suffering from a rash from dribbling? It looks really red and sore and flares up in the day then calms down at night when he doesn't dribble so much? Please please someone else have this.

What a lovely thing to say bp

pr all tat bp says. Remember even on oral days we don't have the same mounts of hunger every day and even have lite days ( ok so they are few and far between).

Sophiathesnowfairy · 09/04/2013 19:42

that. I was not suggesting that bp* talks tat!

fruitpastilles · 09/04/2013 19:44

sophia S does, it looks terrible, hers is under her chin and also at the base of her neck, it's a real big patch as well poor mite. It feels rough some days as well.

PetiteRaleuse · 09/04/2013 20:01

The nappies aren't heavy. I think there is a bit of pee. The poos are liquid but same as the last amoxycillin poos. Not diarrea. I think we'll get to 12 oz today. Fontanelle no worse than it has ever been - they vary anyway don't they - ugh I hate those pulsing things.

I'm not worried for her particularly, more worried that I'm not rushing her in when I should. I don't actually worry enough sometimes.

PetiteRaleuse · 09/04/2013 20:06

The dog is fine btw, just stressed and not getting enough attention the vet reckons. I agree, we've been too tied up in our own worries to do much more than feed him and exercise him, and in this weather he hasn't had enough of that :(

Evilwater · 09/04/2013 20:06

Hello, we'll this is crazy N asleep and P asleep too. So I'm say alone, with tea and a huge bar of chocolate Grin

I've been given a huge box of cloths, and so N has all new clothing that fits. Grin I'm looking forward to the SW meet!

Sorry to read about all the naughty babies that arnt sleeping, and are ill Sad
