Instead of marking place, please could those of us with older siblings post something (positive) they are looking forward to as our babies get older. I think it would cheer us up since so many are struggling at the moment.

X-post detective Grin

cat I guess dreads are quite good at insulating noise. Does he stick one in each lug hole?

sweetpea1112 · 13/03/2013 20:54

Sounds like the standard TT bottles. The anti colic ones have a tube thingy in them. If you need some size threes let me know as O has only just moved up to size twos and I can't see him ever needing size threes. I have an unopened pack.

ValiumQueen · 13/03/2013 20:55

And pass how many episodes of Dexter have you watched? Grin

ValiumQueen · 13/03/2013 20:58

sweetpea I doubt he would use size 3 tbh as he is a bit overawed by the size 1s at the moment. Thank you for the kind offer though.

ValiumQueen · 13/03/2013 20:59

I have no idea how I got into the top author list. No idea at all.

PetiteRaleuse · 13/03/2013 21:03

Night all. Thankful Thursday tomorrow :)

Pikz · 13/03/2013 21:08

I am thankful for my mum coming over as DP is away tonight and I needed company.

sweetpea1112 · 13/03/2013 21:12

That's good pikz

I have realised the importance of a supportive family since having O. Just wish I was close to my mum Sad

Must sleep now. Dark thoughts overtake at night time.

Wishing good nights to you all, particularly mm, izzy and luis ( due to previous bad night's, not favouritism Grin )

kirrinIsland · 13/03/2013 21:15

N is asleep. On me, but it's a start :)

Nice to see the photos from another meet up! Must be time for a southern one soon?

I have walked 937 steps today. This is so pathetic I am almost proud. I haven't drunk coke for nearly 3 weeks though, which is really good for me.

Sorry about you Dad YW That must be hard to hear. Thanks

Yay for an insurance decision mm :)

BigPigLittlePig · 13/03/2013 21:29

I also suspect detectives absence may be the number one factor in lack of sweariness. I can't believe that 2 out of 10 most active threads began November 2012. And 2 out of 10 most active posters are some of our quiche...[proud emoticon]

Got very cross at dh earlier (fish has been used, thanks cat and vq so now less cross). I asked if he could get F ready for bed, at the very least put a clean nappy on her and bring her stuff down. I said the nappies are next to her wardrobe, her bed stuff is on the changing unit. He went off upstairs, F was crying, as she does at this time of night because she's tired & hungry. After trying to calm her down for no more than 30 seconds, he shouts "won't you just shut up" at her then starts swearing at the inside of the wardrobe and yelling downstairs "where are the fucking nappies?" etc etc. I stomped upstairs and did the lot myself and sent him to the naughty step downstairs to finish the washing up. He's tired, I get that not as tired as me and she doesn't settle easily for him, but there was no need for him to speak like that. It made me so prickly and cross. We've had a chat now he's had the wet fish slap and I've said that at the weekend, I will feed her and then I'm going out for 2 hours and he will have to deal with things. He has to learn to settle her when she's upset, and change her clothes (something he's avoided for reasons unknown) and entertain her. Not sure what I'll do for 2 hours have a meltdown at being away for that long but it needs to happen. Rant over. As you were Grin

Izzybuzzybuzzybees · 13/03/2013 21:34

Thank you for the good luck. I'm clinging to what vq has said in that it takes 3days or nights of something for a baby's routine to improve. Well this is night 3 of Operation Big Boy Cot. I'm hoping the bottle earlier and then boob milk rest of night will be a winning combination!

Passmethecrisps · 13/03/2013 21:49

Evenin.

VQ the Hipp instructions are uber pish. Just go for normal 70 degrees. On the continent it is quite normal and almost certainly fine to make with 40 degrees but my inner Brit made me follow the 'proper' rules.

P was a superstar champion today with my pal. Which is good considering how often she was lifted from me for cuddles. All is good - p cried a bit but was 99.9% smiley. We had a wee glass of vino with lunch and P followed the glass and opened her mouth every time it went to my mouth. Hmm. I think she might be a lush like her mummy

TheDetective · 13/03/2013 21:50

VQ I'm not one for internet diagnoses but I've been reading about all this dietary shizz and hole I can't speak for how reputable the site is, what I was reading reminded me of what you've said about J.

Lactose overload. Might be worth considering?? I don't know!

Passmethecrisps · 13/03/2013 21:51

Moan James! Gonnae gae yer mammy some peace wee man?

Izzybuzzybuzzybees · 13/03/2013 22:05

Elizadoesdolittle · 13/03/2013 22:15

It gives me great pleasure to announce I'm home. Fucking get in GrinGrinGrin

I was discharged at three thirty and nipped home to check I still had a house (DH was posting crazy photos on fb like DD1 washing in the dishwasher) and then I went to in laws to pick up my terror. And she's lived up to her nickname. I think she's making me pay for leaving her. Sure she'll be fine in a couple of days. She had better be otherwise I'll be knocking down the hospital doors begging to be let back in!

The in laws cooked me a lovely dinner and both girls fell asleep as soon as we got in. I've had a lovely hot bubbly bath and now got my feet up on the sofa. Heaven.

Have only skim read the thread today but looks like there was lots of fun had at the various meets. I look forward to attending my local meet when a date is rearranged pokes glenda.

Thanks to you all for your support whilst I've been in hospital. The issues with E are not resolved but things are a hell of a lot easier to deal with from home.

Elizadoesdolittle · 13/03/2013 22:25

Oh and I meant to say I've not seen any posts from stunt for a while. Unless I've just missed them. Hope you're ok.

And um E is currently in her Moses basket. I know I know, the cot won the vote. In my defence it was full of washing that I hadn't had time to sort out before I went into hospital and I needed to put her down somewhere quickly. I am probably going away for a long weekend with my girls either tomorrow or Friday so will put operation cot into full effect when I'm back.

TheDetective · 13/03/2013 22:27

Fuck YEAAAAAAAAAAAH! Eliza!!!!

I have been wondering where Glenda is. Don't be abandoning us for studies madam!!!

Lots of absent posters at the moment. Missing all you fuckers!!!

Pikz · 13/03/2013 22:31

Fuuuuck yeah Eliza! Brilliant

Mum just helped me nebulise and feed LO. Had to wake him from such a deep sleep. He's asleep again now so I shall say night fuckers. Thank you for all your support today.

Izzy, det, VQ, kirrin and mm I pray for sleep dust for you and for the others I pray for late wake ups.

BigPigLittlePig · 13/03/2013 22:40

I'm going to bed too. I can hear dh snoring through the bedroom door, down the stairs and into the lounge though so am not optimistic. May root around for the remnants of the wet fish and use it to slap the snoring away Hmm

kirrinIsland · 13/03/2013 22:49

Thanks pikz :)

Glad you're home Eliza Enjoy it!

Night all - hope it's a good one.

Passmethecrisps · 13/03/2013 22:53

My work here is done.

Sleep well fuckers.

TheDetective · 13/03/2013 22:59

There's a funny smell of shit round here Grin.

Contradictionincarnate · 13/03/2013 22:59

I'm still reading 6pm posts busy day for once my award winning mum and baby class - yes really! and zumba tonight after visit from my mum and godmother.
kissy why not try formula if you want? I started giving dd the odd bottle from 11 wks it meant that on occasion like Monday when she wouldn't take the boob dh gave formula enough to calm her to boob her to sleep.
rooty took dd to swim couple of weeks ago luckily had someone come to talk at baby group bout swimming one thing she said was to place baby on tummy and hook your thumbs under their arms your hands on their back you can then walk backwards through water holding them and its like they are swimming sometimes they kick too ... I can't wait to go again!!
ps I HATE Sophie le giraffe she is scary as fuck! Shock may start some sort of campaign ...
or try to promote cham pie gnon made by the same company!! Grin
hope that there is no serious drama further up the thread that I haven't got to yet ... hope your lo is much better pikz!!
see you in the future ... boy this is like timetravel - I really should be sleeping!!!
