November 2012 - Four months? Oh no, the dreaded sleep regression!

Instead of marking place, please could those of us with older siblings post something (positive) they are looking forward to as our babies get older. I think it would cheer us up since so many are struggling at the moment.

How long after waking in the morning does everyone's LOs want to sleep again?

p woke at 6:45 and was back in her basket by 7:50. She is lying there snoozing now. She still needs to sleep every 1.5 hours - should she not be stretching this by now?

BPLP you don't think he has SAD do you? If he is prone to depression it might be worth a few days in the sun! TBH I always poo pooed it as an excuse

horsey back to work officially on 3rd April. But that is the Easter hols so have had to take A/L. So we are here for another week, then back in Northern Ireland, then back for Easter Hols. Then work.

This is why O is on his nursery trial this week and next week. He gets to do 09:00 -12 today. I am off to find some new work shoes. As you can imagine I have every second of my alone time accounted for!!

pass yes O is like that he wakes up has his milk. Then wants to drop off again.

No poo since Tuesday

O can manage an hour or so after waking up than back to bed.no routine here apart from bedtime routine. Though she is not allowed to sleep after 4 pm.

LO has been a star. Woke him for his meds and he slept well considering. He's been such a brave boy. Back for a check up now.

lily how do you stop her sleeping? P goes to bed at 7pm after her bath but I find it impossible to stop her sleeping after 4pm. She just loses it.

I have no idea why he seems to shun sleep, he doesn't even seem tired, he has recently discovered his toes so seems to want to spend the nights and days holding onto them doing teddy bear rolls all over the bed.

I'm going to hole up indoors today on the sofa and see if he'll drop off at any point, I just keep telling myself that it could be worse, he could be up screaming all night or suffering with reflux or similar but he's not, he's just of the belief that playing is very much more important than sleeping.

pass O still needs to sleep every 90mins. He usually needs his first morning nap after an hour - he woke up at 7 today and is snoozing away now.

And more fucking dog poo. I put the bloody things out at 6 after they spent Half the night fighting. I was back down at 7 then 8.

Ffs. They are not having breakfast if they have bad bellies.

Who was it talking about blood in poo? Was that in relation to CMPI? It is not always an indicator. It's the most definitive one but not the only. P never had blood in her poo. We were asked about a dozen times because none of the docs could understand why not as it was sort of the final jigsaw puzzle piece. In the end they accepted she had no bloody poo but did have the intolerance.

pass anything from 90 minutes to 4 hours?? 4 hours I avoid avidly but there's just no making him sleep. I guess on average every 2-3 hours he sleeps. Anything from 10-60 minutes.

Need to start cracking more official sleeps.

Morning all! E is still asleep. Fed him at 6:15 as he has jabs today and I wanted to avoid jab time plus I have to go shopping and whatnot. He drank it asleep and is still asleep. Last night MUCH better here, asleep at 7:55, woke for dummy at 8:30, asleep till 10:15, dream feed, woke at 4:30 for dummy, fed asleep at 6:15. Am not at all going to complain about the dummy instances!

Sorry so many shitty nights were had :( tits, stunt and I cannot for the life of me remember the other person really sorry! in particular :( I wouldnt drive tits, glad to have you back stunt

passme e manages about 2 hours awake, and usually longer = bag of whinge! He usually falls back asleep within an hour of the first bottle of the day too.

Today am thankful I had a good night last night, my boy is healthy when so many little mites have colds and worse, bless them :(, I am not thankful for jags but am thankful these ones are the last for a while!

Not a bad night here. O went to bed at 7:15 after hours of over tired crying and DP gave him a dream feed at 11, he then woke at 1:20 which is good for him.

Today I am thankful for DP, who after I admitted to him that my depression is back, has done all night feeds despite working full time, to give me chance to get more sleep and my head back together.

I am thankful for my beautiful boy. He is a joy to watch at the moment as he explores his body and what it can do.

I am thankful for this quiche. The friendship, honestly, humour and support is incredible. I am still a relative newcomer but have been welcomed with open arms

Oh and I appear to have bruised a bone in my foot. Struggling to walk on it. Is there anything I can do or just wait for it to heal?

As for thankful-ness, I am thankful obviously for my 4 Y chromosome type people in the house, they're real buttheads at times but I couldn't be without them, also on a much more shallow note, I discovered M&S finally have a range of pretty, colourful feeding bras, £30 for a pack of 2 and they come in funky designs and they go up to size giant (which is what I need) so I can now wear nice matching underwear and still feed the beast easily. :)

I'm thankful for clean floors, that LO's cold seems not to be bothering her too much, and for DAP collars.

I'm not thankful for DD1's nightmares or whatever it is that is waking her so often at the moment.

I'm thankful for being able to do so much shopping online, and all kinds of other little things that make being a mum so much easier than for the last generation including but not limited to disposanle nappies, wipes, decent formula, better access to healthcare, poppers on pyjamas.

And once again I am thankful for this quiche, and will miss you all when we all go back to work.

And I am sad as I think I am going to have to get my permanently vomiting cat put down. Her increase in vomiting has coincided with her becoming very aggressive. We are all at the end of our tether and the vet doesn't have a clue what is wrong with her. She is young but obviously not well, and there doesn't seem to be a reason.

FFS I have just found out the 2 older boys father will not be having them this week, there goes my sleep/sanity rescue plan.

Morning all, was lovely to meet shelly, fatima and tthe detective yesterday and of course the incredibly cute LOs. Have only had time to work, sleep, then work agai since so not caught up but sorry to those having bad times and l am thankful for llovely dh who has looked after all 3 dcs and tidied the house while l dash about frantically!

I am thankful for drugs making my little baby so much better already.. Not out of the woods but he's eating and babbling away on his playmat with his legs in the air.

I am thankful to my mum for coming over and staying and realising I need a cuddle too.

I am forever thankful to this quiche for getting me through especially yesterday.

Most of all I am thankful for my little man in his 'aye aye mum' baby grow who has smiled through the snot and wheezing.

F falls back asleep about an hour after her 1st feed - she's still sound now. We had lovely semi-naked cuddles, for which I am thankful as I love her gorgeous baby chubbyness. My consultant phoned to discuss my return to work, at 8.45, in the middle of said cuddle nap. I thought I sounded quite with it, until he asked me if I was ok, as I sounded groggy . I shall be back from 1st July.

tits am off to google M&S bras....never thought I'd be feeding for this long so have 2 very plain, probably ill fitting given recent threads, "motherly" type ones. Would like something a little prettier. Suspect if I tried to wear any of my normal bras, there would be a severe case of 4 boob syndrome.
