Had an interview this morning for a job as a registration officer, won't find out if I got it till next week. Interview went well I think but not holding my breath as they are interviewing 11 candidates!

I had some absolutely shocking news late last night. A friend of mine (isobel's godmother) came around fri. We made arrangements for this week, but because Eva has tonsilitis i sent a text to cancel. She didn't reply and then text at 1.30am this morn to apologise for not replying, but her dad had been stabbed 13 times on his own doorstep, for his mercedes car keys.

He was critical and has lost 2 pints of blood and needed 2 operations. They didn't even give him chance to hand over the keys. He must have been/be terrified. So awful for her and her mum too. Her husband had been there not 5 minutes before as well, but had headed out a bit before him.

I had a drink last night and only slept 2 hours, (could not get to sleep for love no money) so i will pass on the and let you all have more!

Finally put cupboard locks on the kitchen doors - keep forgetting and can't open the doors, doh!

We got Seb's first shoes on Sunday. Went to Clarks Village to get cheap ones and ended up getting them in the full price shop! Still, they are his first pair and we will have to keep them (after he's worn them for about a week before growing out of them). He was so proud of them!

Tally - yay for shoes!! I'm off to get S new ones tomorrow. Got her feet measured last week she they were feeling a little tight. She's now a size 5 . Is S really off with the walking now?

Yeah, they've got them. Being charged with attempted murder.

He is off the danger list, as had to have plastic surgery as they targeted his neck, but also got his hands and arms as he was defending his neck iyswim. He's up and about, eating etc. He's one amazing guy. He will need rehabilition/physio though for one of his arms- i think they have made a mess of it.

My friend said the police have been brilliant. Can't really say much, but one of them is related but not by blood, and i get the impression he didn't know who it was. It's a bit like one of my cousins attacking my mil iyswim.

my neighbour stabbed my half brother a few years ago, that was odd.

DS is doing better, still poorly but alert and interacting now.

Mummy, yes Seb loves walking now he's got the hang of it. He just spends the whole time toddling about! He likes to clutch something while he wanders about - whatever he comes across on his travels: toy, muzzie, remote control, dh's wallet... .

DS was walking/climbing around after dinner today (he had been wobbly before) :) At least they can get better quickly.

Don't know if anyone else has been watching 'Brain Doctors' on bbc2 but there was a little girl on there tonight who had a Craniosynostosis op like W did (only she had her front suture fused and his was the back) fascinating to watch but I'm glad I didn't see it before hand!

I had my dating scan yesterday - am 8+3 and really starting to show. I compared me of now to pics of me with A, and think that my belly is as big now as I was at about 15 weeks last time. I don't know then how much longer I'll be able to keep it a secret (hoping for the first time that everyone just thinks am getting fat!)

Size 5 Mummy ?! P is still a fat 3.5, which has reminded me I kept meaning to ask you if you have weighed S recently? I don't bother and haven't since September (so just before she was 1) but my Mum had since scale so I put her on. Now I know it was a bit rudimentary because she wouldn't keep totally still but it said someone betwen 23-25lb's, now when I look at that on the graph it puts her on th 75th centile! How can she go from 9th to 25th to suddenly 75th. She is clearly a titch but surely not a REALLY fat titch ? . I wondered where S was in weight and height if you knew?

Well I had an interview last week and start my new job on 4th March, P will be back at nursery - which I am pleased about as she loves it/them, she can say 11 words now - although "toe" is said in a Bristolian accident . Don't really want to go to work though as have got back in to doing classes with P in the mornings and my business stuff whilst she is asleep. I want to stay at home but have the salary from working . Just to confuse things DH had a phone call at 6am yesterday from a mad woman who clearly has no concept of time differences who wants to arrange an initital telephone interview for a Lecturer in QLD.

AF started a few days ago too so I think the line I saw on the tester was an Evaporation Line (and my over excitement). I am going to see if the Dr will give me a months pill to see if that helps at all - no idea if it will.

Oh great news on the job cheshire!! Is it the same field as before? How is the business going? I weighed S the other day actually but I can't for life of me think what she was. I noted it in her book I can't think where it is! I know it was around 25/26lbs. She's aprox 78cm tall, not grew in a few months however. She shot up 5cm in 2 months following her birthday . Got her new shoes yesterday in a 5 but they look really big on her, def have room to grow. Her 4's were just feeling a little 'snug'. I just got her a wee pair of Oshkosh canvas type ones for £8! They do look more like summer shoes but its only for walking about outside. She still has some boots and her wellys for plodding about the garden. Went to Clarks just to have her feet measured and of course they were pushing all the £38 shoes in my direction. Kids shoes at that price shouldn't be allowed, I don't even pay that for my own shoes!!

SP- any news on your job interview? Didn't see the programme but must look for it. All these surgical/op type documentaries really fascinate me. I swear I was a surgeon in a previous life

Been up at my house early today. All heating materials finally been delivered and fitting going ahead tomorrow. Can't wait to be warm/have hot water and have house be back to normal. Close to a week with my parents in my limit

Who was it that said about speech? I've noticed a huge difference in S just in the past few weeks. She really trying to copy what's being said to her. Running in the park the other day I was saying to her 'I'm going to catch you' and she was laughing and saying 'catch you'. Other popular words from her are shoes, juice, car, ball, up, and the usual mama, papa, nana. Only word she struggles with yet is 'gran' which is what she calls my mum. Nana is my gran (her great gran). My poor mum feels left out . Amazing the difference just a few weeks makes

blending letters so 'gr' comes a bit later. They will often just drop one of the letter so say gan or ran instead.

Slight downer is the next door house sold for £43,000 less in dec 2012!
Asked about the discrepancy, and been told, that they have an extension (it's only a 12x12 one room, one storey extension) and it is better decorated. it's definately not £43,000 better decorated- even if the taps were pure gold. Gonna be fun negoiating!

I weighed isobel and eva (i may have said before) and there is 2lbs difference! Isobel is 24lbs and eva is 22lbs.

mummy Good news on the heating and water, I wouldn't be able to cope, as this house is old and freezing (it literally is warmer outside sometimes and also the washing machine is on every bleeding day- so no hot water would cripple my already choatic system.

I've just posted my carrot cake recipe on fb, as i am currently baking a chocolate cake and it made me remember that i had promised i would -yonks ago!

Just opened my oven to see how the cakes are getting on, and they have overflowed all over the sides and on the bottom of the oven.

My dp will say 'classic sassy'

Why can i never cook/bake/make anything without 1 (usually more) things going wrong???? Seriously, it just can't be done..........

I'm missing a gene or something, there is no other explanation.

I think i used the wrong side of the baking paper too- cos it's stuck!
