PR yes! It is the AFS storage system where Any (and every) Flat Surface becomes covered with objects which are placed at approximately equal distances to each other such that the surface is rendered completely unusable.

Where are you coming to in NI MM?

How old is she MissLaugh? That sounds like colic.

Our house has a breakfast bar. big plus point prior to moving in. Not such a plus point now it's just an AFS! Dsd will insist on eating breakfast there no matter what though so it currently is covered with old envelopes, post, wallet, loose change, batteries, receipts and weetabix dust.

PetiteRaleuse · 07/02/2013 08:43

Agh my hoover has packed up. The bastard. Oh well, no more housework.

MadamGazelleIsMyMum · 07/02/2013 09:00

pikz I adore my McLaren. Wasnt stupidly expensive, very easy to manouver - which I appreciated all the more when my arms hurt after using the P&T as a singleton the first time. It is also hard wearing, easy to clean, goes on most terrains - I've used it on the beach, pavements, fields, mud tracks. It traveled well by plane. It has decent accessories (we have the carrycot which DS is now about to outgrow, the clips to pop the Recarro car seat on, which we have never, ever done, the umbrella, cosy toes). Its suitable from birth and is quite wide, so will do for an older toddler nicely too. Do I sound like a McLaren rep Blush

misslaughalot · 07/02/2013 09:04

Stunt she's 10 weeks

blonderedhead · 07/02/2013 09:04

Well we had another shit night. If DH didn't take him for an hour in the morning I wouldn't be able to function. Well I would of course but I'd've even crankier.

VQ what happened after your 3 hrs? That was a better start than the previous night no?

Kissy I love those leggings!

horseylady · 07/02/2013 09:07

Miss - have you tried gripe water or coleaf? Does swaddling help with the unsettledness?

Oh the envelope thing annoys me too!!!!!

StuntNun · 07/02/2013 09:15

It does sound very like colicky crying MissLaugh, don't even mention the dreaded reflux if it persists it would be worth trying Infacol or Colief.

Sophiathesnowfairy · 07/02/2013 09:26

Yep pr and horsey my DH seems to think the bin is the surface by the side of the sink Confused if the bin is full to over flowing then it stays that way till I sort it out. Now. Call me old fashioned. Call me mysoginistic. In my Opinion bin emptying is a mans job.Grin I am not a feminist. I want my man to do his mans job of bin emptying.

Second set of jabs today. After last time I am giving Calpol before we go.

Great start to the day. O is sleeping pretty well at the mo. He still goes to bed at 6:45. I now get him at 10 to feed. Put him back down at 10:30 then sleeps till 06:45.

This means if I drags myself out of bed at 6 I can get dressed and sort myself out and get the boys up when I am ready. I leave to tAke DS 1 to nursery at 07:15.

Anyway today went to plan.

Off to shine my sink and reboost my laundry! Grin

Sophiathesnowfairy · 07/02/2013 09:28

misslaugh I found DS really colicky just growth spurt weeks. I have switched his mid morning, mid afternoon ad tea time feeds to Aptamil comfort. He sees a bit happier.

Sophiathesnowfairy · 07/02/2013 09:29

Not sure if you are ff or bf miss so that could have been a daft response.

BigPigLittlePig · 07/02/2013 09:36

The past few days LO has cried if she can't see me. She stops the instant I reappear and beams. It's v cute.

Good news, the blender isn't broken. Not so good news, the plug socket is Confused. Turned it on to make some toast and there was an ominous crackling sound.

Clarella · 07/02/2013 09:45

....... checking in Hmm

misslaughalot sounds very similar to what we've been battling for 3 weeks, down to the napping in day in swing, bed by 9:30, sleep for 4 hours! it was partially solved last weekend by colief. we even put swing in bedside cot - I think I kept his upright more - but he's in cot now with colief . we have veryssuccessful burp sessions now and he sleeps peacefully inbetween - don't even need to do rocking transfers etc! (bedside cot might 've helping that tho)
our other issue was lactose overload as I had oversupply. this created lots of slimey green poos. I block fed for 2 weeks and we've now got yellow poos as of yesterday and I'm back to alternating breasts. colief sorts mild transient lactose intolerance by giving an enzyme that breaks down the lactose that's mostly in the foremilk. withouteenough enzyme it ferments in the tummy and comes back up - hence endless wind. we had a double whammy as the over supply meant far too much fore milk and far too much lactose .

that's why not on thread - ladies at Lll. been helping me out!
just run out - was hoping to get prescription today but as it's first jabs day too need that colief!!

YellowWellies · 07/02/2013 10:06

Miss The gulping sounds like reflux which can effect all babies if growth spurt ish or if you've eaten something they're intolerant to. Or it could be late onset Sad . I know I know I see reflux everywhere!!!. Try propping the cot head up so LO isn't flat on their back.

Horsey we had 4 bad nights, reswaddled got 4 good, then 1 bad and 2 excellent. Am lying to myself hoping it was the quickest 4 month sleep regression ever. Seriously though he does suddenly seem to be much less hungry and thirsty at night preferring big chugging feeds during the day. Please keep this pattern wee man. Who am I kidding he's going to have an entirely new habit next week! I wonder if the improvement is linked to me upping his reflux meds to fit his new weight.

DH's shower woke him - so he got to play with Daddy in the morning and seemed thrilled - he rolled over to show off! Smile

TheDetective · 07/02/2013 10:14

Another DP who dumps shit everywhere. Grin

He doesnt get away with it though. He gets incessantly nagged over and over and I'm like a dog with a bone til
he moves it. He will learn... Yes. He will.

DP's car didn't start this morning. It is a bloody good job for him Oscar let me have 8 hours unbroken sleep. Or I'd be a very grumpy detective. DS1 was late for school as by the time I got dressed in pyjamas and defrosted the car, we were well late. I got him to ring my mum to tell her and she told me to hurry up. Yeah thanks for that Mother, like I wanted the above to happen. Hmm

Fucking cars. Fucking arsebadgering cockwanking cuntknobbing cars.

TheDetective · 07/02/2013 10:19

YW they are like a constant experiment these babies! Trying to work out the why's of everything they do!

BPLP I've got a broken socket. Please let me know how yours goes. Am too afraid to call electrician in case it's some horrendous expense. It's the socket behind my washing machine. I now have an extension lead from back of washing machine to above the counter and it's plugged in there and has been for over 18 months. It looks ugly.

YellowWellies · 07/02/2013 10:21

Just ordered the swaddleme microfleece in large - can only find it in pink. Poor Jonas. I love these swaddles they are amazing and he's growing out of the small one - can't risk shit nights without it. Yes am paranoid!!!! Its amazing the juju you ascribe to certain objects / habits when it comes to sleep!!!!

Sophiathesnowfairy · 07/02/2013 10:35

It is true detective. They constantly throw curve balls at you. Even on number 4 every day is like an experiment tweaking things here and there. You just do it with a bit more confidence every time.

BigPigLittlePig · 07/02/2013 10:36

detective am luckily in a rented house so it won't be my expense. My mind is doing overtime though mostly imagining mice nibbling through the cable as the socket was fine one day and then very suddenly wasn't the next. I did contemplate the extension cable but decided against ocd wouldn't allow it due to ugliness

Wish I could work out what makes LO sleep well. Whatever it is seems different every day Hmm

TheDetective · 07/02/2013 10:37

www.amazon.co.uk/gp/aw/d/B00850LP88/ref=mp_s_a_1?qid=1360233374&sr=8-1&pi=SL75 that's the one I got!

TheDetective · 07/02/2013 10:38

I have learned to ignore the ugly by closing kitchen door and going in there as little as possible!.

glendathegoodwitch · 07/02/2013 10:40

kissy I've got a pair of those leggings in froggy lol not sure when they will fit - must dig them out!!

clarella that sounds like Dottie - she's gone from yellow mustard poos once every 3/4 days to watery slimy brown 5/6 times a day - any other symptoms?? I'll go investigate block feeding.

Buggies - ds had a big m&p carrycot/pram which then dd1 was in until 4mths when I twisted dh's arm promised sexual favours to get a bugaboo chameleon - I ? my bugaboo - it goes off road when walking the dog, it's fab in snow and I can change the colours depending on outfit lol -and it will last until Dottie no longer needs it and I can flog it on eBay!! With dd1 we also had a Quinny zapp cos dh has a stupidly tiny car --that he bought the very week before I found out I was pg with dd1

Off out for lunch today - never had this much of a social life before dots!!!

Managed a shower this am but the minute I put shampoo on my hair - waaaaaaaaaa lol

I'm not going to mention Dottie's still sleeping well for fear of karma coming and biting me on the ass!!!

BigPigLittlePig · 07/02/2013 11:01

The boob gremlin has fed hourly since 7 this morning. Her corrected age is 6 weeks. Do growth spurts go by corrected age? Why would bad feeding days co-incide with jabs?! I'm not going to sleep tonight am I?

ValiumQueen · 07/02/2013 11:23

The three hour sleep was sandwiched between many hours of lack of sleep. It started at 00.40. Not good. Not happy. No more blood though. Likely a mixture of sleep regression and snot. Just as well I love the little rascal.
