I hate this being up alone imagining all the other lo fast asleep - having been so since
7 I know that's not true but is what I think! Grin.

ComradeJing · 07/02/2013 05:25

Pikz sleep regression started at 14w for DD.

it was sheer hell

TheDetective · 07/02/2013 06:26

I don't get it.

Poor DP.

He always ends up with the two awakenings. He's done 10-6 on my night Blush. Yet again, it's a good night/bad night obviously not bad in the grand scheme! alternating thing going on Hmm.

I am so grateful that he has these nights, but still don't understand why no consistency yet?!

I'll try not to think about it to deeply.

Was convinced he'd have me up all night. Seems sleepy now so clearly isn't going to start the day at 6 as I feared.

Yay Chunky! Glad DH is improving!

Hope VQ got some sleep. I always wish for 8 hours unbroken sleep for you...

TheDetective · 07/02/2013 06:32

And we're done. Another fairly quick feed/transfer.

See you in the morning... Grin Now don't be doing anything fun without me Wink.

YellowWellies · 07/02/2013 06:50

8.45pm til now! Best ever. Clearly he needed an earlier bedtime and doesn't need to cluster feed every night. Just holding him til he nods off. Please. Don't want to start the day now.

4 month sleep regression started for us at 14 weeks - it might be calming down - maybe. Please. I think he was getting cold in the night as now he's on his sheepskin he's had two much improved nights. Have also figured I need to hold him longer before transfer - hence being on here.

VQ whenever you're ready to meet just shout. Hope you all feel better soon.

The only other buggy I was tempted by was the mountain buggy but it seemed a bit big for the bus, shops and our boot. Do they do a double?

YellowWellies · 07/02/2013 07:03

And he's under.... may DH's alarm not wake him in half an hour. Envy

PetiteRaleuse · 07/02/2013 07:11

Good morning. Rubbish night here, nothing to do with LO. DD1 took ages kicking about before she settled, and then I woke up at about midnight and she was standing in the bed. Standing, but sleeping. I just quietly told her to lie back down, and she did, but without waking up. DH was still up for some reason, and came to be a little later, and I still wasn't asleep, then I Woke up at about 4 and couldn't get back to sleep coz of weird dreams every time I shut my eyes. LO started stirring at about 6 so we got up at half past six. I'd go back to sleep but I really need to clean. Or at least hoover. I was so groggy yesterday that I allowed DD1 to just flick her satsuma peel all over the sitting room.

LO seems in a better mood though so that is good.

Does anyone else have a DH who uses every available surface as a dumping ground for crap. My kitchen worktops are such a mess, as is the dining table, and every time I clear them they get cluttered up again within hours. I'm going to have to go round with a bin bag.

Sophiathesnowfairy · 07/02/2013 07:13

gt which is your preferred hosp? Just being nosy really.

I too believe pushchairs are like handbags and oe is required fir every outfit!

I have done;

Chico can't remember what it was called for about town
Land rover 3 wheeler for country sports
Phil and Teds for new addition and encompassing the above country sports
Mcclaren quest for flinging into the boot carefreely
Bruin buggy for elk to school ( quite good actually)
Bugaboo Chameleon chosen by new engineer husband to fit it with Windsor set
Mothercare lightweight buggy for hols
Bugaboo Donkey for number 4

Grin

The bugaboos do it for me don't feel I need another suppose it is like getting a Mulberry, which unfortunately I have not got. Hmm I haved been asked what I want for my 40 th.

Cacacaz · 07/02/2013 07:19

I'd be up for a Scottish meet, although I think I'm probably the furthest away. I live in Ayrshire.

Horsey is it the vista you have? I can't see a zipped part in mine?

Gt I've used the BJCM double and the mountain buggy double, I love the BJCM I had plenty of space for both children at work. A 6month old and an almost 3 year old.

2nd set of injections here today, then M has his first swimming lesson. Not looking forward to the injections

I'm rather concerned that M hasn't been feeding as much as usual probably paranoia setting in for the past week he hasn't been feeding as much as before. We are averaging at 6 feeds in 24 hours at around 7-8 am, 10-11 am, 1-2pm, 4-5pm (expressed breast milk which he will drink up to 4oz but usually 2-3 oz) this is often followed by me feeing him some more either straight away or 30 mins to an hour later and then one more feed at around 7-7.30pm. Please tell me if this is normal? I'm just concerned that before he was feeding around 10 times day. It seems such a massive change. I was under the impression that because in breast feeding he would need to be fed more than JFK was giving him formula.

MadamGazelleIsMyMum · 07/02/2013 07:24

GT I have a P&T sport double which is pretty good. I prefer my McLaren xlr though.

horseylady · 07/02/2013 07:24

pr yes and a dh who is unable to throw things in the bin and empty the bins. In fact he does NOTHING round the house. He will cook but generally I've been doing if.

Although he did stand up to his dad who was trying to get dh to decorate his house. I think he knows I'd actually divorce him if he did his dads house and garden above ours!!!

yw yay!!! When did his sleep start improving again?!

PetiteRaleuse · 07/02/2013 07:28

I can't join in with pram talk. We have three - a normal traditional pram, a fold up push chair and a double baby and toddler thing, which I still haven't used. Someone gave it us but it's quite rare that DD goes in the buggy now as I make her she prefers to walk.

I don't know if any of them are specific brands - I got the big one cheap on ebay and the fold up thing was a 20 quid job from the supermarket. When I was pregnant with DD1 I was completely Shock at how expensive everything was so made it my mission to buy everything as cheaply as possible second hand. I think I have saved thousands. And little by little everything will be resold or freecycled. My granny is appaled at me buying everything second hand, but I have really enjoyed the feeling of getting a bargain.

PetiteRaleuse · 07/02/2013 07:29

DH has always been really good about helping out in the house, but his new year resolution appears to have been to stop.

zcos · 07/02/2013 07:33

been back up for 30 so do feel like the odd one out! and dh (who now gets ready for work on landing so he doesn't disturb us) has just set off fire alarm by spraying deodorant! Sad
I feel like the odd one out I only have a travel system Sad ... really would have loved a Quinny or something but couldn't justify the cost. I still haven't used the pram that came with it...been using the car seat as a buggy!

horseylady · 07/02/2013 07:34

Caz yes zip on th buggy part? On the vista.

zcos · 07/02/2013 07:39

Mmm petite I have to agree ... everything I have seen that I have thought ooo I'd like a playmat for dd I have searched and got second hand so a quarter of the price! got lots of her clothes second hand too! a lot of mine are from charity shops. I volunteered in one when I was younger and realised the quality of person bringing in the quality of clothes. I get things I need like warm winter coats from there for example... although I do also shop in debenhams! but I love a bargain! :)

PetiteRaleuse · 07/02/2013 07:50

We don't have charity shops over here unfortunately, so I really depend on ebay. I bought three lots of clothes for DD1 this week for a total of less than 75euros. She's sorted for the year. And it's not all top quality designer stuff, but she's not even two - her clothes get ripped and filthy within several wears, especially as she spends so uch time playing with the dog and lying on his rug Angry

it's good for her immune system.

Cacacaz · 07/02/2013 07:53

I've pulled the buggy part out of the cupboard and I can't see any zip part where exactly on the buggy is it horsey?

zcos · 07/02/2013 07:53

yeah I have ebayed ALOT I figure it will make me a better mummy cos I won't worry about dd ruining outfits...I also have a terrible habit of keeping things for best. I really must get out of that with dd the things simply won't fit her!

misslaughalot · 07/02/2013 08:10

Morning all. A bit late to this but congratulations GT Grin

So we've had another rubbish night here. We've had a bedtime routine in place for 2 weeks now and at the end of last week it seemed like it was working. Bath, massage, story and feed, then Babylaughalot was down to sleep at about 9.30 (rather than midnight) And she was sleeping for 4-5 hours before waking for a feed.

The last 4 nights have been different though. She'll sleep for about 10-20 minutes before waking, her legs and arms will be flailing around which I took to mean she has wind, so I'll burp her and pop her back down. Continue over and over and over (with added screaming) for 2 hours. She hasn't been asleep before 11.30 at all this week. When I first get her up I'll sit her on my knee to wind her, and if that doesn't seem to be working I'll then get her over my shoulder and that's when the screaming starts. She also sounds like she's gulping in between crying. Any ideas as to why? I can't do many more nights like this, it's wearing me out. We tried Infacol with her a couple of weeks ago but then had a day of 4 horrendous poos (instead of one every other day) which we put down to that so stopped using it. Maybe we should start again if it is wind, but I'm not certain it is as she doesn't always bring some up before she gets off to sleep again.

It only happens at night. When she naps in the day she'll have 2 hours with no problem going to sleep or staying asleep (although she's in her swinging chair for many naps, but definitely won't sleep in there if she has wind so whatever it is doesn't bother her during the day).

Help!

Pikz · 07/02/2013 08:12

Madam is the xlr good? It's what I've been recommended as a buggy due to how high the handles can get.

I too feel left out as am using my beautiful yet tank like travel system. Have been looking at buggies the last couple of days though. I feel as VQ says I am destined to end up with a maclaren!

Elizadoesdolittle · 07/02/2013 08:30

petite yes, my DH is the same. He also uses the dining room table like its a wardrobe. He gets in from work and immediately takes his trousers off and hangs them on the back of the chair. If I didn't put (throw) them upstairs I dread to think how many pairs there would be there!

Bit of a crap night here. E still has a really bad cough so making eating and sleeping hard for her. These poorly babies suck Hmm

Passmethecrisps · 07/02/2013 08:34

cacacaz on the back of the buggy bit

BigPigLittlePig · 07/02/2013 08:36

first jabs today Sad

BigPigLittlePig · 07/02/2013 08:37

PR my dh is well known for depositing the contents of his pockets on the dining table/kitchen worktops. He will then open the post and leave the opened envelopes on the side Angry. Drives. Me. Mad.
