I guess that's a pattern too, actually.

Cacacaz · 06/02/2013 07:32

I think I've missed a fair few threads, the last time I posted was December!

Had a bit of a tough time recently but things are now looking up.

Blooming heck GT but congratulations to you and dh

Must go my Wee Dude is awake, must try harder to keep up with these threads!

PetiteRaleuse · 06/02/2013 07:35

Oh I thought he was flying today. That's lucky. DH off sick today with this cold we're all enjoying. Hope he doesn't think he gets to spend the day in bed.

kissyfur · 06/02/2013 07:54

Hi ladies, just marking my place - bit late as you're 15 pages in already! Going to attempt to catch up, think I've missed quite a lot but can gather ffrom just this last page that congrats are in order for GT!!! Omg GT!! Congratulations, wow!! Also hope all is ok with you cacacaz x

Had lots going on here as it was DD1s 3rd birthday last week so had her party at the weekend, DP and i were up til gone 2am the night before making her birthday cake!?

LO is doing well, had her jabs on Monday, luckily they don't seem to have affected her too much. She's 12 weeks on Thursday and has really started cooing loads when you talk to her, so sweet. It's like having a conversation in coos :)

Right think I've got quite a bit of reading to do...

ComradeJing · 06/02/2013 08:00

I LOVE the coos.

Grin
ChunkyChicken · 06/02/2013 08:10

kissyfur my LO does that - coos, gurgles, even sort of purrs in response to your conversation. It's lovely. He even leaves gaps waiting for your reply. :)

Had a pretty good night. DS accidentally fell asleep before his bedtime feed after his bath, but I did manage to feed him. He then went nearly 8 1/2 hrs until just past 5am, asleep the whole time. Uber-quick feed (I was back in bed by 5.30 inc putting collected bm in the fridge & going to the loo) and not awake properly until 7am. He is a v good boy :)

Thinking about donating bm as I'm such a cow but not sure if its a bit much to take on atm. It wouldn't be that much effort but sometimes I feel that things are only just working ok iyswim...

Kyzordz · 06/02/2013 08:21

Morning all! Ds is out for most of today, I miss him already, but I've got LOADS to do! All the bits you wish you had time for and don't, plus the usual stuff! didn't post last night despite waking at 12:30, 1:30 and 2:30. Not LO, just me! Probably my paranoid side wanting to check his temp (which I did but not intrusively, he seemed fine). Would've popped on but was trying desperately to get to sleep so I didn't feel like spending today asleep too. Obviously I still would like to spend today asleep but I can't complain after 7hrs really can I.

My only current whinge is I have the implant stick in ( as of Monday lol) and since having it I've had an awful headache! It's such a sickly one, wish it would bugger off!

ValiumQueen · 06/02/2013 08:35

Crap night here too. Two 2.5 hour sleeps, but took forever to settle inbetween. Full on screaming whenever I went to move. Brought him into bed at 5 to feed and DH was not happy. It was for me, not J. I reminded DH I am not well and not up to wrestling a baby for 2 hours twice in one night.

If J is not improved significantly by tomorrow I will take him to baby clinic to see Dr. He has no temp, I think it is just a very bad cold and he feels rotten.

Off for school run. Deep joy. Just what I need.

Cacacaz · 06/02/2013 09:25

kissyfur we get coos too, they melt my heart!

kyzordz and VQ hope you both feel better soon

glendathegoodwitch · 06/02/2013 09:41

kyordz I had the implant 3 weeks ago and have had terrible headaches since - I think they are easing though!! I also had a really red hot patch around the implant that went really dry and scaly, the itching and redness has gone and with lots of moisturiser I'm not to lizard like but there's still discolouration of skin there!!!

Pikz · 06/02/2013 09:43

LO napping. Have already taken car to garage and now doing house admin and business admin. I'd love a break. So tired. I might want a refund too on LO. His breaks between feeds getting shorter wtf!

BigPigLittlePig · 06/02/2013 09:59

I'll have a refund too please. Somebody in our house has decided 4am is a good time to get up. Well it's not. Especially not when stupid mummy pig decided to stay up for some adult company. Am knackered. Plus was a horrible misery guts to dh this morning Sad

FatimaLovesBread · 06/02/2013 10:27

With her earlier bedtime, M thought 4:45am was a good time to lay chattering to herself.

I think I have a blocked duct. Ms night times are all over the place at the mo so my boobs have been more engorged. Last night I fed her at 12:30am. Afterwards there was still a hard lump in my breast, like golf ball sized and feeling like it does when engorged. I fed her with the same side at 3:30am and massaged while feeding. It's not as hard but is achey

Any tips?

BigPigLittlePig · 06/02/2013 10:35

Have you tried feeding her with her chin pointing towards the lump? (may require some gymnastic ability depending on location of said lump)

Pikz · 06/02/2013 10:37

Fatima warm compress, hot shower and lots of feeding and massage.

ValiumQueen · 06/02/2013 10:37

Bugger. Blood in his sodding nappy. Bright red mucousy strands. Not masses, but I am now on nappy watch. He had an explosive poo and appeared to be putting effort into it, although not hard or anything. May be my antibiotics so I will observe. No more Brufen for him. I will get a px of PCM suppositories from the doctor. I do not want a refund though. I want my baby to be well again.

FatimaLovesBread · 06/02/2013 10:42

Hmm the limp's right at the top so she would have to feed upside down Grin

Off for a hot shower and massage. Will dig out my heat pack.

None baby related question, I'm going up to my sisters and I normally call at the deli for sandwiches for lunch. Any filling suggestions?

FatimaLovesBread · 06/02/2013 10:44

Sad VQ could it have just been a sizeable poo that's irritated on the way out?

blonderthanred · 06/02/2013 10:48

Oh VQ I'm sorry things are still so tough. DS woke after 3 hrs but I persuaded him to go back to sleep for another hr, then after an hr of feeding he did 3 more hrs. So a bit more than you but I still feel the pain of broken sleep! Obviously I don't have a school run to do though. I think he is sleeping better as the cold goes so hopefully J will do the same.

PR I hope your DH pulls his weight today.

Sorry to all poorly/sleep-deprived mums and babies.

The first time DS and I had a proper 'conversation' I cried; he just seemed to get that we were taking turns and then suddenly he burst out giggling as though he could see the absurdity of it! He is a real chatterer now.

VQ have just seen your update. How worrying for you. Hope it is just a one-off, maybe from the Brufen as you say although it was obviously necessary at the time to bring his temp down.

BigPigLittlePig · 06/02/2013 10:50

You may have to dangle a boob over her Confused - like I said, acrobatics!

I'm a boring ham salad kind of girl.

zcos · 06/02/2013 11:04

its been a miracle night for me...probably a one off but tiny slept 11.30-8am then back down til 10 ... she only woke at 8 cos I picked her up and boobed her if anything was a dream feed! But she didn't nap yesterday for more than 10mins - not unusual for her some days she naps all day others she is up all day... feeling on top of the world today Grin not sure for how long but makes up for whole day of Sad Sad Sad on Monday.
in worse news think my period is here it has to be that is v heavy Angry dd only 9 weeks and I am ebf was hoping for a few months more! Sad

horseylady · 06/02/2013 11:10

I hate brufen. I can't believe Its sold over the counter.

Vq hope he gets well soon!!

I did my first meet I left before I fed though.

Elizadoesdolittle · 06/02/2013 11:11

Quick weight up date. Just had E weighed. She's put on 3ozs in 8 days. Now weighs 8lbs 11 (3.94grs) at 12+4. HV was pleased so I can go back to weekly weigh ins at the clinic as opposed to home visits. She had her 2nd set of jabs yesterday and so far no reactions. She's got a peads appt on 5th march and then another dr check up and final jabs on 6th.

blonderthanred · 06/02/2013 11:16

Well done Eliza and E!
