Those first tears are horrible. But... plenty more where that came from. Those first tears come from pain. That's all. Not sadness, or anger, or hatred, or disappointment. Just a jab of pain. It's a reflex, not something you have done to hurt them. So don't feel bad. The first tears had to happen some time.

PetiteRaleuse · 05/02/2013 22:38

And once they start, unfortunately they happen more and more. The jabs, pain, open the waterworks. Don't worry.

Shitting hell GT you bloody mentalist!!!

Congrats though!

Crazy woman!! Wonder how you are going to keep up on 2 threads!!

ValiumQueen · 06/02/2013 00:32

Shit it is blowy here. I am glad we are all home.

DS slept for 2.5 hours which is fab for the first stretch. Having a good feed so fingers crossed he will go down no trouble.

StuntNun · 06/02/2013 04:16

It's quiet tonight. Where is everyone? J has had another long stretch so I've had five hours sleep. Phew! I was beside myself last night when he wouldn't go to sleep. He was lying there yelling and staring at me accusingly but nothing I did seemed to help. DH is back from Trier tonight so maybe I'll get a bit of a break during the witching hour(s) this evening.

I hope everyone's okay and getting some shut eye.

Where is everybody? Am i the only one left in night feeding sleep deprivation hell?

StuntNun · 06/02/2013 04:18

Ha x-post Pidj! I'm here propping the thread up at night. We're in most active atm.

OMG GT that is something else! I couldn't do this again for at least a couple of years, you are one brave crazy lady :)

PetiteRaleuse · 06/02/2013 05:19

Agh, DH and I stayed up until 1 talking and it's now just gone 6 and both DDs are awake and hungry.

Wow what a quiet night on here.

PetiteRaleuse · 06/02/2013 05:21

Agh. I bought the wrong level 3 teats, opened and sterilised them.

TheTiger · 06/02/2013 05:26

I'm here. Just doing 2nd feed of the night, but DH did the first one so i've had 6 hours of lovely sleep!!

It seems most of the babies on this thread are much better sleepers than ours stunt and pidj!

Titsalinabumsquash · 06/02/2013 05:36

I said to DP that one of the lovely ladies from this thread is expecting again, his response ...

"Is it you? Please say its you!!!..."

Dopey arse.

In other news I went to the gym last night, I'm possibly cripples this morning Confused

Thechick · 06/02/2013 05:38

I still have a bad sleeper, we are still here!!

PurplePidjin · 06/02/2013 05:55

Grr unnoticed nappy fail means I've been feeding since 4. That's in a bamboozle with a microfibre booster. Aaaaaaaargh!!!

And he refuses to nap so it's not like i can chill later while he sleeps either Sad

MissMummy1 · 06/02/2013 05:58

I'm here. Thanks PR I'll be prepared for it in future. Being a mummy has obviously made me soft, watching her sad little tear stained face made me want to cry too Sad bless her. She did sleep 11 to 5.30 though!

Does anyone have the M&P Luna or Luna mix pushchair? I've eyed it up in M&P shop a few times and need a smaller pushchair than my massive travel system for trains etc when I don't have the car. Any opinions? There's an almost brand new one on gumtree in my area ignores fact if is bright pink, ughh reasonably cheap.

StuntNun · 06/02/2013 06:05

Chronic sleep deprivation has finally taken its toll. Baby is being taken back this morning. Now where did I put the receipt?

Masses of snow here. Hope your DH is able to get out of Trier Stunt though I have to say the airports here are generally better prepared than in the UK, being more used to it. Normally Trier direction gets a bit more than we do.

ComradeJing · 06/02/2013 06:06

Another thread!

Bloody hell.

Hi all

Ds rolled from front to back today. I suspect it was a fall more than a roll though Grin

wellieboots · 06/02/2013 06:11

my mummy brain fail for today - DDs passport has arrived but I was out so I got a card to pick it up from the post office. Marked "A. Wellies", and I wondered who it was for! oops, note to self, must remember my child's name in future! But in fairness, she doesn't get that much post Grin

ComradeJing · 06/02/2013 06:12

Far out... Just catching up with thread...

GT!!! Congratulations!!

Had Ds weighed when we went for jabs (thanks for the sympathy on the last thread btw). Ds is 7.7kg which is about 16lb I think. The wee chubber!

ComradeJing · 06/02/2013 06:12

Wellies Grin

GTbaby · 06/02/2013 06:35

Det I'm worried about the same thing! One thread is hard enough. But now two! I've LO hope.

PR I did exactly same thing. Opened pack and sterilised Hmm waste of £8

Tits come and join me! There is another lady there with a 4 month old. Wink So I'm not alone.

StuntNun · 06/02/2013 06:56

Thanks PR, he was delayed a couple of hours but made it back to Heathrow late last night. He has meetings in Weybridge today then back home tonight. The snow has all melted here and been replaced by gale force winds, the Sold sign outside the house is distinctly askew now.

In other news I booked our summer holiday yesterday so we will be in Aberdeenshire for a few days then Fife for a week. It's all about the food, I'll be eating battered white pudding, Fisher & Donaldson fudge doughnuts, I may even have a bridie! I miss Scottish food the most.

Hate to say it, but 16 weeks to the day and we have had full-on sleep regression in the House of Cats. They weren't even sleeping that well before but there was at least some pattern. Two nights now and they've been yawping every hour from midnight. I can't find the receipt either stunt. Exchange or credit note it is then.
