Yes. Confirmation I am pregnant.

Went to GUM clinic to get contraceptive injection. Cos I'm late for AF had to do pref test first. Was chit chatting to nurse. Oh I know I'm not preg. I had very obvious implantation pains. My boobs were very painful. So i know I'm not preg.

Anyway. So we have a positive test.
As you know I wanted a small gap. Just not quite this small.
A surprise but its ok.

I am now entering the panic phase. So forgive me for any random shit I start talking about.

I don't knowDH will be happy. But I'm nervous to tell him. Oh crap. He is home.

PetiteRaleuse · 05/02/2013 16:14

:(

Poor things it mist be hard on them. DD1 pinched LO the other day. I asked her if she wanted to hurt LO and she said yes (she's at that age when they haven't learned to lie yet). I think the desire to hurt her little sister has passed. I don't know what provoked it in particular but I suppose it is natural to be jealous and as she doesn't know how to manage her emotions or even name them she lashes out. Either by screaming (most often) or crying or that one time pinching. Can't be fun being a toddler.

BigPigLittlePig · 05/02/2013 16:16

Bless them. When i was pregnant DSD informed me she was going to cut the baby out of my tummy and then chop its arms off. Not quite sure what her motives were Hmm

GT - you're mad but congrats again

YellowWellies · 05/02/2013 16:16

We had jags too today - all in all not too bad - just his 'they're murdering me' cry. We also had a horrific night here - think its def the 4 month sleep regression - the swaddle just held it at bay for 4 nights. Eegad may it be short lived.....

GT you're mad!!!! Time for your DH to up his game Shock Let's hope H isn't an early mover or late pregnancy will be a barrel of laughs! Good luck - it sounds like its something you've been toying with so many congrats - but rather you than me Wink

PetiteRaleuse · 05/02/2013 16:17

Wow GT that sure is unexpected. Imagine if it's twins Grin

Sorry.

Congratulations. Good luck telling your DH and MIL.

ValiumQueen · 05/02/2013 16:24

Or indeed triplets...

Passmethecrisps · 05/02/2013 16:24

Blimey. Must read those leaflets about the coil and make a decision ignores fact that conception requires shagging

If it is GT congrats and you know we will all be here for moral support.

Get well soon VQ. I can't believe your luck

MadamGazelleIsMyMum · 05/02/2013 16:27

GT wow. Thanks

PR DD adores DS but still smacks him on the head / plays the bongos on his tummy etc. Tis natural.

ValiumQueen · 05/02/2013 16:27

I should buy a lottery ticket.

DonnaDoon · 05/02/2013 16:31

Pikz · 05/02/2013 16:48

Congrats GT!! Woweee and just like that you start again!

Now he's 11 weeks I can kinda imagine another....but not yet!!

PetiteRaleuse · 05/02/2013 16:51

DH just called. Roads out of Lux blocked by the sodding snow so he's going to stay at the office another hour and see if it clears. I am sick of the bloody winter.

PetiteRaleuse · 05/02/2013 16:54

Well, we can't send GT over to the antenatal side on her own. Anyone going to step up and get knocked up so you can hold her hand? Anyone?

Grin

Sorry GT. I honestly think it'll be fine. So much fun when they are a bit older.

GTbaby · 05/02/2013 16:54

Sry that should have read - I know DH WILL be happy.

And he is. First thing he did was congratulate me n hug me. He is happy.

We have decided not to tell anyone until after India this time.
Apart from you ladies.

GTbaby · 05/02/2013 17:01

If your thinking about contraception sort it out. We have only dtd once since a week before Xmas.

Haven't looked at ante natal thread yet. My mind is racing with so many thoughts. When to tell work. When I should go bk? Finding a better hospital.

Pregacare pills. Need to find my self overs. I haven't taken any vitamins or even been eating well.

BigPigLittlePig · 05/02/2013 17:06

GT my SIL has 2 girls, 13 months apart. She only dtd once after dd1 Blush. It was hard work at first, but the girls are now lovely young ladies of 12 and 13 and it's been lovely for them growing up to be so close in age different story now they keep nicking each others makeup & clothes ho hum

Pikz · 05/02/2013 17:13

It will be ace in the long term GT me and big bro only a school year apart. I couldn't have grown up without him... He's brilliant.

Any recommendations for large playmats. The little one with the arch LO is too long for and he can't stretch his arms out. Thinking of a wooden arch and large playmat.

fruitpastilles · 05/02/2013 17:30

Wow congrats GT you mad lady hehe. Smile

Sophiathesnowfairy · 05/02/2013 17:30

No way GT!?!? Shock crazy lady. Congratulations Shock

TheTiger · 05/02/2013 17:32

Oh my gosh congratulations GT! I'm glad your DH is happy, how are you feeling? How many weeks are you?

ValiumQueen · 05/02/2013 17:41

Are you gonna change your name to GTBabies ?

YellowWellies · 05/02/2013 17:42

GT you only need to DTD once especially if FF as (like after a MC) your body is meant to be super fertile because its not feeding your baby - the view is that it thinks LO has died - also why PND risk is higher maybe?

Fingers crossed your DH starts helping out with night wakings once you've got two! You're a better wife than me - if DH had been crawling into bed drunk there'd have been no DTD in our house!!!! Poor sod Grin
