Toomany I'm stuck on the contraception thing too... Not sure what to do for best. Deffo want another but not for a couple of years so a bit stuck as it took 18mnths to conceive this one..worried about taking hormones and it messing my system up but we both hate condoms.

MM mature cheddar (slobber....) the man doesn't know he's born - I'd kill for cheddar right now Grin. Am now dairy obsessive. I could happily sit and smell a hunk of cheddar....

Horsey happy birthday for tomorrow - many happy returns x

KissysUnderTheMisteltoe · 08/01/2013 21:50

Thanks pass I was angry too, silly man! Confused

Well LO hasn't actually been as bad today so maybe the gaviscon has worked a bit (actually managed to get her to swallow it this time) I tried giving it to her before a feed at 7.30 and she's not been sick or had a crying fit since Smile thanks for the tip BPLP! Thanks have also stopped giving her infacol as I didn't want to mix the 2, maybe that wasn't helping matters?!

ChunkyTurkeywiththetrimmings · 08/01/2013 22:00

YW admire your willpower but I guess knowing your Lo would suffer register you'd suffer is inventive enough. The antibiotics I'm taking have to be taken on an empty stomach, so 2hrs after & 1he before food. As a constantly hungry grazer when pg/bfing, this is akin to torture!!! I obsess about food in the 3hr window, planning my meal & over-eat to compensate. This is why crash diets do not work....

VQ well done, I'm impressed. I thought DS would go to bed with DD tonight, at am admittedly v late 9pm (we just cannot seem to get her in bed by 8pm at the latest whatever happens - its my new years resolution!!) but no, he was resolutely awake. Now he's feeding but faffing about, so guess he's not hungry, just tired, but won't give in iyswim. Grrr.

DH is in Asda doing the weekly shop. Bless him.

BigPigLittlePig · 08/01/2013 22:01

Ooh well fingers crossed it works for you Kissys Smile
I'm hoping for another good night tonight, dread wednesday mornings though as have to be up early to take dh to work so can't slob in bed til god knows what hour

Passmethecrisps · 08/01/2013 22:17

Small but perfectly formed lane! P screamed blue murder after her jags - proper actual tears. Poor sausage. She is sleeping now though.

P is on the 25th for weight, 25th for length but 91st for head! What's that all about? She has a huge noggin! No wonder i needed an episiotomy - between that enormous turnip head and her fists in front of her face I am surprised she came out at all!

horseylady · 08/01/2013 22:32

Pass - ouch. A girl I work with had that. She was most pissed off annoyed as she wanted an epidural but no, too busy. Baby came out like superman and properly tore her. Then she needed a spinal to get sown up. She says they should have just given her one!!

Ds reassuringly average head and length. I think he's probably dropping below 25th now for weight. Saying that today he's eating lots more so you never know!!

lcdaff · 08/01/2013 23:08

Boo has her first lot of jabs on thursday. Calpol stashed in cupboard and plans for a quiet day friday.
Pepared for the worst, hoping she won't suffer too much. Certainly won't hold a grudge against her if she feels sorry for herself afterwards. She'd only be taking after her mummy.
(I allow myself to wallow for a full weekend each year after my flu jab!) The nurse jabbing her however is a diffrent matter...granddad sees her atleast twice a week and won't let her forget.

Although I'm ready for potentail post jabs fall out, worrying myself potty about the actual jabbing.
As dh is around in the days I've essentially demanded he take her in and leave me out of it. Thinking I might make the whole experience worse for her if I'm stressing out.
Can't decide if I should chicken out and wait it out in the waiting room or brave it the first time then decide if to deligate to dh perminatly.

Oh and a stupid question, where are the poor mites actually jabbed? Have to decide if we'll use the sling or pram, would hate to put any presure on sore area.

Candypop 95% of hubby bashing occurs in private or to friends, however he does get when he pushes me over the edge. Like ripping the zip off the changing bag.

PetiteRaleuse · 08/01/2013 23:14

Jabs go into the thighs. One hardly seems to bother them but the other goes straight into the muscle. Ouch.

Happy birthday horsey , glad the worst of E's illness seems to be over in time. LO pigged out today - first time I've really felt confident she's eaten enough in a week.

Passmethecrisps · 08/01/2013 23:34

'icdaff that is not silly at all. One jag in each thigh for us.

nillynoon · 08/01/2013 23:53

A&E trip for us tonight after phoning nhs 24. One v hot listless little boy, who promptly perked up when we got there! Was so worried, but he's fine, just a virus. Mummy now needs gin!

Passmethecrisps · 09/01/2013 00:01

I am so glad things are ok nilly! I find that the best cure for an ill chil is medical attention! I have had P crying for literally hours and hours then perk right up in front of a GP

nillynoon · 09/01/2013 00:02

Thank you, I was just so relieved. He's gone to sleep now after lots of cuddles

ValiumQueen · 09/01/2013 02:02

DS settled around 9.30 and woke 1.15 with an almighty poo. Fed beautifully once changed, and just asleep now. Hopefully I will get a similar stretch the noo.

nilly glad he is ok x

TheDetective · 09/01/2013 02:02

Currently being the hand that rocks the cradle... He isn't for sleeping tonight. Go the fuck to sleep!!! Grin

Ewan just finished. Dp snoring. And Oscar grumping away still spitting his dummy out like some kind of fun mummy torture game.

DP does more the less I ask. New tactics developing here. Hopefully everyone just me really will be happier.

First time at a mum and baby group tomorrow! Excited! But will be tired at this rate. Hmm

Oscar is a strange thing. 25th (up from 2nd) centile for weight. 98th for height Blush. HC is on the 75th. Don't know what it was at birth as it wasn't documented in his red book, but I seem to remember it being around the 50th. I have long skinny kids! DS1 is the same... Even though they have different dads, and I am short and fat.

Btw. Have come to the conclusion that all men in my life are useless! My Dad keeps leaving the loo seat up. Peeing on said seat. Leaving hairs in my bath. Messing up my kitchen. Leaving his stuff everywhere. He sat around on his iPad as I frantically tried to get myself ready this morning with Oscar who really needed to sleep but I had no time to settle him or we would have been late getting to where I needed to go. So instead of my dad offering to maybe rock him in the pram, I ended up sandwiching him inca v shape pillow in the middle of my bed as I sat throwing slap on my face. Singing away to him with Aerosmith on too loudly on the iPod dock just to try and keep him entertained. Well he only went and bloody fell asleep himself! Hope it works next time! Still can't believe my dad just sat there and didn't offer me any help! Twat!

I think it was Candy who asked about abx? Yes that sounds normal! Abx do funny things to baby poo :)

TheDetective · 09/01/2013 02:11

Oh and he also rubbed in my face the fact he has just spent £8000 on tickets to Australia in business class. This is the guy who has just retired 3 weeks ago at 55. He is sat in my house telling me this as I'm quite literally stopping myself from crying because my house is ready to fall apart, there is so much water damage to it. Both cars have got water damage. My car is currently sat in a garage awaiting my decision on whether to try a temp fix to the leak in it, or do I pay £600 and have the fucking roof removed... Because that is the only cure. Fucking twatting piece of shit car. Turns out it has been written off in the past and has been repaired. The roof repair was inadequate and the whole car could actually turn out to be dangerous in a crash. So not a good thing to find out, is it?!

And he wants to tell me how much money he has stashed away, his tax loop holes, and what he is spending on holidays.

While his daughter worries about her home, her car, and going back to work full time with a 5 month old baby.

T-W-A-T. Should be proud am teetering on my own two feet. Will one day be fully standing!

nillynoon · 09/01/2013 03:43

Detective, can I throw twunt in as a word for your dad too?

StuntNun · 09/01/2013 05:10

Third feed of the night after finally getting J to sleep at 11:30. No wonder women start to think they have no milk, when baby is feeding and feeding. DH was shouting at J last night which is worrying. I suppose he just lost his temper but it makes me think he's going to pick him up roughly and hurt him. I wish he would go and sleep in the spare room but he insists on staying here to help.

DS1 has decided to start weaning J on lollipops! I managed to convince him to start with baby rice instead.

Must be catching, I had a non sleeping baby tonight. B woke at 9.30pm and didn't go back to sleep until 1.30am. She then slept until 5.10am

Hoping she'll go back now with no fuss, fingers crossed.

kirrinIsland · 09/01/2013 06:13

Glad everything is ok nilly

N didn't go too sleep until 1. Well, she'd sleep fine on me but as soon as I put her down her little eyes would ping open - very frustrating.

£8000 on tickets There's a whole other world out there! Does he rub it in on purpose detective ? Or is he just generally thoughtless? Either way, you have my sympathy.

CandyPop · 09/01/2013 06:46

Us too! Must be catching .... LO has been waking up every 3 and a bit hrs. She has runny poo at the mo as I'm on antibiotics so I have to go change her each time and then the only way to get her back to sleep is for her to fed!

stunt my dh has random days like that and like urs when I suggest for him to go into spare room and ill try settle her he insist on staying and he shall do it. But him getting stressed stresses me out and then I'm sure that unsettles baby more as they can sense it! Thank god the last couple night LO seem to have got into a routine and able to settle herself after a feed and only wakes for one .... I did before voice my concerns with dh that when he gets angry he may unintentionally be more rough handed without knowing and then may end up hurting her and so I said we are in this together and that he should feel like when he is getting stressed he can let go and let me take over and if the its the other way round I would let him take over (obviously this was to make him feel better as us women are just made of stronger stuff ;) )

Sophiathesnowfairy · 09/01/2013 06:57

Am I being OTT to take Olly to the DR. Ever since his jabs last week I have really struggled to get him to take more than 3oz when he was taking 6-7oz per feed. No temp, it occasional barking cough and sharp intakes of breath. Bit cross if I try and get him to take more than the aforementioned 3 oz. sleep patterns seem ok though now after about four days of excessive sleepiness.

ValiumQueen · 09/01/2013 07:06

Not OTT sophia hope all is well x

Catbag · 09/01/2013 07:10

I agree with VQ sophia, I would be worried too x
