Another Audi vote...I love my Audi. Though still laugh at the TT my DP of 6ft7 is having to drive as I saved up to buy it as couldn't get pregnant and was sick of my whole world revolving around baby. Bang pregnant the week we bought it after 2 years and 2 operations! Now can't afford to sell it as lose so much money.

CandyPop · 18/12/2012 21:11

Audi vote here!

At the moment if we take the carrycot out as well we have to put down one of the passenger seats!

Def getting a 4x4 when we change cars!

CandyPop · 18/12/2012 21:12

Awww just went into the bathroom to have a bath and can hear dh singing to LO ... He's also found a use for the birthing ball. He sits and bounces on it with the bubba!

Sophiathesnowfairy · 18/12/2012 21:13

Welcome home pass you sound so content and happy to be home.

Enjoy your ice cream anervous I hope things pick up across the evening.some nights Olly grumbles and mumbles away from around 7:30 -now ish, not sure why, he is pretty much asleep. Weird. Is probably complaining about the mad family he ended up with!

Update on our road trip....after my hormonal sulk on Sunday we are driving up all the way to the boat in the same day next week but we are stopping to feed. my bottom has been saved from being squished inbetween two car seats. So we are leaving at stupid o'clock. Fine by me I will prob be up anyway. Xmas Grin

Now am trying to attempt the packing.......

horseylady · 18/12/2012 21:14

Hyundai Santa fe!!!!!! Great car. Even when driven into a gate......

Boot space fab.

It is a 4x4 though. As big as a landrover disco :)

Sophiathesnowfairy · 18/12/2012 21:16

Ooo go for an Audi MM. I have a VW Passat Estate and love it. But still the Bugaboo Donkey takes up loads of boot space.

I have much live for my Donkey though so I don't care!

PetiteRaleuse · 18/12/2012 21:18

Aa vote against Audis. When there are problems they are expensive. Go VW or Japanese every time.

PetiteRaleuse · 18/12/2012 21:24

I do know someone with a four door c1, it's ok. But French cars in the uk are often erm, tricky. The parts are expensive. But don't get me started on the 10,000 eur cost when my audi a6 decided to screw me over.

GTbaby · 18/12/2012 21:24

I'm sat in my room as cant be bothered to play happy family with pil. OH is at work again tonight, he shrugged off the argument as "it happens/ u don't like each other fine / make more effort/ she will get over it".
He brushes things off, like they don't matter. But what he doesn't see is how it effects me or his mum.

Just feeling very helpless. No matter how hard I try i am not good enough for mil, I gave her a grandson. N still not good enough.

jenbird · 18/12/2012 21:37

Hi everyone
Not had time to catch up properly so apologies for all I miss. pass very glad you are home. Hope things settle down nicely now.
horsey It won't get better on it's own! Running puts pressure on everything down there and weakens it even further. Doing too much too soon will really slow down the process too. Make sure you do your pelvic floors religiously and also start off slowly with recovery breaks in your run. yellow You would have to be running pretty hard to produce lactic acid. I play netball and have done whilst breast feeding all mine and have never had a problem with lactic acid even though i work really hard.
First night on my own without dh as he plays squash on a Tuesday. Small girl having her usual unsettled 3 hours. Doesn't seem to realise I have lots to do...

mummytobe1990 · 18/12/2012 21:41

glad to hear you are all home now pass cant imagine how difficult it has been for you all xxx

horseylady · 18/12/2012 21:58

Jen I did interval run/walk not done any for 8 months so wanted to take it steady. I've also been walking daily etc. So have built up very slowly and will continue interval run/walk for a while yet. Doing pelvic floor loads. Was just surprised I leaked a little?! Apart from going easy and exercising is there anything else I can do for my bladder?! Everything feels fine?! Perhaps I should ask my dr at the 10 '6' week check?!

ShellyBobbs · 18/12/2012 22:25

We don't even get a 6 week check here, just told to speak to the doctor if something's not right.

FatimaLovesBread · 18/12/2012 22:26

Along with the VW suggestion MM check out Skoda. They're part of the VW/Audi group and have VW engines and so are v reliable and parts are cheap. But they're cheaper to buy. We're now looking at the Octavia as there's some fab deals on it at the moment.

YellowWellies · 18/12/2012 22:27

Had a chunk of cheese and some ice cream (feel mean as it might cause him pain tomo) and am now going dairy free :(

Been feeding him upright and he has been much less fussy. Fingers crossed!

MM a C1 is very expensive for something so small - I think one shopping trip with a passenger and you'd be out of room?

Pass the photo of P on FB is lovely - she looks so much improved!

horseylady · 18/12/2012 22:27

It's tied in with ds jabs. Asked if I needed an appointment when the mw said 'check with the dr at 6 weeks' they said I could raise any concerns then.

Nhs cutbacks.....

PetiteRaleuse · 18/12/2012 22:42

Good car advice Fatima

ValiumQueen · 18/12/2012 22:43

DS is windy. It sounds like a firework display through the muffle of a washable nappy.

Still in growth spurt hell but he did nap in hs cot at lunchtime and in the pram on school run.

Jealous of bugaboo donkey and trying to imagine how you breastfeed while playing netball.

Hope the world does not end on friday. I would be really pissed off about that.

Fuckballs YW having to gove up dairy. DS is at least half dairy, and most of that is chocolate.

PetiteRaleuse · 18/12/2012 22:45

Erm. Can you ask over there for referral to nhs physio for pelvic floor or ab problems? Here it is automatic. I think some of you need to RANT at your GPs til you get referred. It's important. Ok, not life saving. But important.

Passmethecrisps · 18/12/2012 22:49

Thanks YW! I regretted the telly watching - took me 1hr45 mins to settle her to bed!

VQ this Friday would be really bad for me too. I have plans.

kirrinIsland · 18/12/2012 22:58

Glad you're home pass

Well done on the run horsey

I have a horrible sore throat, and it sounds like DD1 does too :( Hope N doesn't get it too.

MissMummy1 · 18/12/2012 22:59

Thanks for all the car advice. We've been debating it for a few months now and although there is nothing wrong with my car, it will be 10 years old in March and is starting to need money spent on it. It's also not that economical. On the plus side, since ditching the landie dh has seen sense that we do only need 1 car so we can justify spending a bit more on it. Chatting about it tonight, anything as small as a c1 is madness. At the same time though, the xc90 volvo is landrover territory, and would be a disaster with my spacial awareness difficulties and tight driveway! I like the look of the nissan qashqai (sp?). DH could be tempted with a skoda. As long as it's not green and on the £300 a year tax band and owned by my wally of a man as a status symbol, I dont care! Grin

Good luck with the dairy free yw xxx

ChunkyTurkeywiththetrimmings · 18/12/2012 23:04

pass glad you're home.

VQ LOL on many thoughts...

sophia well Xmas Envy about the donkey.

YW Jen reminded me that I have played hockey whilst bfing not literally VQ :) and DD didn't seem to mind.

Who else is a hockey widow? Is it Madam? DH is out every day @ work, then goes to training on a Tues & plays Sat. I haven't had a baby/toddler free moment in 5.5 wks!!!

petite thank you!! Tried making paper chains with DD after her nap, whilst feeding DS. She was almost too engrossed in the tv (should have turned it off, but being lazy & didn't want the tantrums) & then trod all over the chain!!!

GT hugs. Can you tell oh how you feel?

Must book 6wks check.

Dixiebell · 18/12/2012 23:04

At 8.30 I decided to have an early night so came up to bed with Teddy...3 nappy changes and 2.5 hours of solid feeding later and I'm yet to manage to lie down...Xmas Confused . Still, rather he does it now than 3am (hear that Teddy?!)

Who was it asking about piles? I have same prob! Really sore when pooing, but up inside too Blush . Am still hitting the lactulose but can't take that forever...

KissysUnderTheMisteltoe · 18/12/2012 23:07

Thanks garden and shelly fingers crossed LO won't get it. I spoke to my GP and they said she would get some immunity from me but to call them if she got any spots. Hope your twins stay spot free too garden

Glad to hear P is home and doing well pass
