MissZombRee loving the name change & poor DSS.

AWCH Good to see you've been sent for a scan.

Well James Bond was excellent. So glad we went VIP style tho as was packed out. Bloody freezing walking to car earlier.

Just me & the girls today as DH is off on a wedding photo shoot today. Feeling crabby .& AF is due today Sad

Figgygal · 27/10/2012 10:49

Figgygal · 27/10/2012 11:21

Oh and good news was last night we tried size 5 nappies and had 1st dry morning in a week as well as a 6.45 wake up......happy mummy

AWomanCalledHorse · 27/10/2012 11:48

seven, thanks for the link! Looks good!
I did a test this morning & it was negative, left it in the bathroom, DH went in about half hour after I did the test & it was a false positive...I guess it's too early for the hormones to be back to zero?
I'm fine about it, then I'll just burst into tears. Blaming the hormones. Never thought I'd miss the utter crap time that is first trimester pg!

Figgy, all good!
Not looking forward to the clocks changing tonight, we've been pushing everything back this week, but know he'll still wake up at 4am!

seven77 · 27/10/2012 15:54

AWCH that's how I was after mine, stupid things upset me, seeing pregnant women, baby photos on Facebook, my cousin announcing her pregnancy etc, some days I was fine, others I felt sorry for myself and other times I was just horribly jealous. Make sure you talk about it if it helps, I think aethel said it takes 5 days for the hormones to go back to normal. xx

I'm also not looking forward to the clocks changing, after a few bad nights I'd give anything for an extra hour in bed, instead I'll probably just be up at 4.30 instead of the usual 5.30 .

Its really cold out today! looking forward to a trashy night of X factor, Chinese and snuggling under the duvet!

LittleMissFlustered · 27/10/2012 16:25

I could swing for him today, and I'm not sure if his behaviour is him being vile, or just truly not understanding:(

Breathing deeply and making a cup of coffee to drown in:(

seven77 · 27/10/2012 16:34

Hope it improves soon LMF, early night? DS didn't sleep well and is having a grumpy whingey day.

MrsDeterminedandSpecialMum · 27/10/2012 16:55

LMF Hope things improve by bedtime.

Well sodding AF has arrived so along with all my other joint pain I now have severe back ache Sad just want to crawl into bed but I can't as DH is out doing a wedding shoot till god knows what time and I'm here dealing with the girls. Reminds me of when I was a single parent...needs must...early bedtime for us all tonight.

Figgygal · 27/10/2012 17:13

lmf commiserations again good luck for later!!

Just been tickling DS tummy and noticed tooth no3 is poking through the top best get more dribble bibs!!

MissZombRee · 27/10/2012 18:37

I was only thinking the other day that there haven't been any crashes out the front for a while (there were 3 in the first three months of moving in). There is a car on its roof out there at the moment Shock

Figgygal · 27/10/2012 19:15

missree where on earth do u live? Beirut?

LittleMissFlustered · 27/10/2012 19:30

Bedtime...

In other news, I bought sofas today.

MissZombRee · 27/10/2012 19:30

Some might say that Grin We just live on a dodgy bend that people are always misjudging!

Xiaoxiong · 27/10/2012 20:33

Well I hope oi doesn't now have cause to regret meeting up with me - am on day 2 of 101f fever, aches and pains, crushing headache. We had a lovely meal a deux last night but i started shivering in middle of bond film (excellent, didn't like last 2 much but this much better). By the time we got home I felt like some Victorian fever victim. 1000g of Paracetamol works for about an hour and then I shiver and ache and feel like a furnace till I can take more.

And I know where I got it too - guy on the train to work on weds sat next to me for an hour looking awful and clearly feeling like death.

DS and DH fine so far, fingers x they and oi don't catch it!!! It's prob just a little flu but DH is waiting on me hand and foot, he is so worried - he admitted to me that the appendix crisis earlier this year terrified him and he gets so scared when I get ill now.

OiMissus · 27/10/2012 22:03

So far, so good xiao! Fingers crossed!
We've got the firepit out. It's fab!! Can 't believe we've waited so long. We'll use it at the party, and then every night thereafter! There's something romantic about a real fire. Just makes ya want to snuggle up!
BOi is a devil child. He does something wrong, I tell him no, move him away. He smiles, and then starts nipping me - which he's also just been told off for doing. Repeat both. Often.
He is so naughty.
I hope this isn't a sign of things to come.

seven77 · 27/10/2012 22:07

xiao bless your DH being so worried and taking care of you, certainly sounds like flu. Hope you feel better soon.

ZombRee how on earth sharp is this bend that a car can end up on its roof in what I have to assume is a 30mph speed limit being right outside your house?!

LittleMissFlustered · 27/10/2012 22:12

Manu sympathies Xiao, I've got tummy bug/cold hybrid and it's bad enough, but flu is worse. Hope you're on the mend soon:)

Jealous of the firepit Oi, I have been lusting after one for years:o

Off to bed. Hope one of the devices turns itself to not summer time overnight as I'll forget, which will be a bugger when we turf out for a bus that isn't due for an hour in morning!

LittleMissFlustered · 27/10/2012 22:13

Oh, and just because I like them:

[hgrin]

AWomanCalledHorse · 27/10/2012 22:21

LMF, did DS start behaving eventually? How luffly are the sofas?
I've ordered new bedroom furniture [hgrin]

Xiao, hope you feel better soon. That's why us Londoners avoid acknowledging other commuters...they're always just looking for someone to pass their lurgies onto!

Oi, our minds work very differently! I see fire, it makes me want to throw stuff onto it to see how it burns!!

NorthernChinchilla · 27/10/2012 22:25

Oh poor you Xiao, it's grim isn't it? And it's time of year and/or using public transport and/or kids starting nursery and school and/or a year of not sleeping properly and bam! Hopefully you'll start feeling better in a day or two.

Jealous re the sofas LMF, we've never bought one of our own. All of ours are second hand from friends or rellies. What are they like? Hope you're feeling a bit better as well.

Feeling it too seven on the bloody clocks, 4.30am here we come. Why do we have to fart around with the times, why?! Mind you, we had DP's friend arrive unexpectedly so I said I'd get up with DS this morning, so that they could have a drink and stay up late...fully aware that my kindness meant that I'd get the lie in tomorrow morning when DS will be getting up in the middle of the night not evil at all, oh no [hgrin]

Very social day here, but DP went over budget on going out for lunch with friend and treating himself to some posh beers for later- not impressed. I bought a couple of tops, from my own account, from the second hand store round here, but neither of them fit- to be fair, it was the case that I don't think there's a human alive with a shape that would fit them [hconfused]. But grumpy that my one little treat to myself didn't work out.

DS then had one of his night-terror screaming ab-dabs jobbies just at the moment dinner was served, so that knocked that on the head. And as I was trying to get him back into the cot I did something to a rib as it pressed against the bars. One moment of searing agony and it's throbbing now, so reeeeealy hope I've not had the world's most stupid accident!

AWomanCalledHorse · 27/10/2012 22:31

Northen, our current sofas are PIL's old ones & are five years older than me. They're really knackered, but with house rabbits & DS chewing them we don't see the point in buying new ones yet.

Sorry your treat didn't turn out to be a decent treat.

One of the very few advantages to having a mc is DH is doing all the child rearing atm...got to sleep into 10am this morning & everything!
The other advantage is DH has agreed that we can try for as many babies as we think we can cope with before he turns 40 (in just under 4 years)...we'll probably still stop at 2, but at least I can dream of a Von Trapp stylee clan until then!!

OiMissus · 27/10/2012 22:57

Broken ribs on a cot, northern?
awch you remind me of my childhood. I spent many hours setting fire to things. I remember pulling the long hairs out of the dog's tail to see how it burnt in the fire. I set fire to the bin in the lounge once. The carpet section under the bin was bald.
I hope BOi hasn't inherited my arsonist genes. Hmm

Aethelfleda · 27/10/2012 23:02

Yawn. Should be abed but DS has teeth descending at a rate of knots (a week ago had one, now has four!) and is grizzly and wanting non stop cuddles.

Sorry to hear you're grotty xiao and hope it is not too catching for other people! I get the flu jab each year , and if you're highly recommend considering shelling out the £12 it costs to get boots/asda to jab you, if you don't get it then it's a bit less likely you can give it to your DCs.
shame it doesn't prevent colds though!!

dH and I have had a quiet evening listening to Paul Simon on my phonograph, while folding washing. Oh the romance of parenthood. We did have a few glasses of very fine hungarian royal pudding wine though. Hic.

Sofas are only new to me, got them from the heart foundation furniture shop. They're squishy and have removable covers. The only ither furniture (barring cots and minion beds) that I have ever bought was a charity shop dining table and chairs and a set if nice metal shelves from a shop that was closing down. Our current sofas are older than me (I'm early thirties) and too past it to limp on much more. Everything else was donated at various times. It's ridiculous to be happy about buying second hand sofas, but I chose them, which is rare for me.

Boo cslmd down a bit, enough to manage a detente during dinner snyway. hopefully tomoerow will be a feeash start. though he will bot be having snt beluev in the clocks changing and will be up at four thirty i sssume.

Anyway, I'm taking my very bloated and unhappy tummy to bed. Taking a bucket too, just in case:(
