Sorry to burst in, but what are others doing for bedtime wear tonight? Thermometer reads as 26deg in his room! I'm only under a sheet and am sweating. I've put 2 layers cellular blanket bit worried its too much, might strip it to one?

Jnice · 23/05/2012 21:33

Not that hot here, but can you feel down the back of his neck? See if he feels too warm or sweaty? How many layers is he wearing? Or just in a nappy?

Scheherezade · 23/05/2012 21:35

Changed him to just a sheet.

Scheherezade · 23/05/2012 21:36

Sorry x posts Jnice. He's nappy, vest & sleepsuit. He didn't feel overly warm but was a little clammy.

MamaMaiasaura · 23/05/2012 21:37

scheh I was going to ask same as 26 here too with fan going. J is in a sleep suit - no vest. Had cellular blanket over her but taken it off her. I'm seriously considering changing her ether into a vest or just nappy. She sleeps better in a sleeping bag but just too darn hot. If she is just in a nappy, I'll have her in bed with me with just a sheet.

FuzzzyDuck · 23/05/2012 21:42

S room gets sun in the morning only so is one of the coolest rooms right now. I had window open all day and she is in bed with nappy, p.js and in sleeping bag. She sleeps better in it so went with that. House is cool now, no idea what temp though

PenguinArmy · 23/05/2012 21:42

nappy, vest and blanket. If he wasn't swaddled then i would just have the vest.

PenguinArmy · 23/05/2012 21:44

but as others have alluded to every baby is different, some like it hot others have little clothing on even when quite cold.

Scheherezade · 23/05/2012 21:48

I never even thought about his clothing, just automatically put him in vest and sleepsuit. He's fast asleep so I'm not changing him, might take sheet off.

EdwardorEricCantDecide · 23/05/2012 21:52

Mhairi still wears vest sleepsuit and sleeping bag although I have now changed her to 1 tog summer sleeping bag she seems to be on in that.

Jnice · 23/05/2012 21:59

Scheh I would probably leave him dressed as is but remove the bedding in that case.

I have some 0.5 tog grow bags from Felix and Isaac - they are good because you can have the baby in with just a vest and they feel pretty snug but still cool.

MamaMaiasaura · 23/05/2012 22:02

I'm going to bed in a bit. If she's really unsettled I'm going to pop vest on her instead and put her in 1tog bag.

FuzzzyDuckosaurus · 23/05/2012 22:09

It's getting much cooler now, I know her room will get cold through night, hence keeping her in grobag

MrsHende · 23/05/2012 22:11

Ed, I've done the same as you - don't think it's 26C in here though!!

I'm off to put the thermometer in the bedroom and find out! (and to feel her to make sure she isn't too sweaty! Thanks Scheh for bringing it up Smile)

MamaMaiasaura · 23/05/2012 22:13

Grin fuzzyduckosaurus I love your new prehistoric name

FuzzzyDuckosaurus · 23/05/2012 22:16

Thanks Grin. Was for another thread but I'm quite liking it so it may stay Grin

MamaMaiasaura · 23/05/2012 22:19

I am upstairs now and it's so hot. Ds1 in just pants. Ds2 short pjs no covers sprawled across my bed, j in cot in my bedroom sprawled on her front.

I want to open the window but all the mozzies will eat us. I live right next to woodland with stream so lots of flying fuckers bugs.

MamaMaiasaura · 23/05/2012 22:20

A dino thread and I'm not on it? Hmm Shock Envy Bear

FuzzzyDuckosaurus · 23/05/2012 22:28

Yes!!! In chat, get your dino name sorted!!

MrsHende · 23/05/2012 23:21

Jeez-o, I'm shattered!

I chucked out suggested that DH might want to take L out for the morning to give me a bit of time and space to do some cleaning.

We're doing a big move around of our furniture this weekend in order to get Lizzie out of our room Sad. We're in a one bed flat and our final decision for now is to have Lizzie sleep in the living room, to create a wee snug for us in the kitchen to retire to in the evenings and to move our dining table and chairs to the hall. We're really lucky to have big rooms, just too few of them!

So, before the big move I needed to tackle the clothes mountain that has been growing in the corner of the kitchen of clothes that L has grown out of.

What a task!

Three bundles: (1) white/unisex clothes to be given to my pregnant SIL (being induced a week on Monday, very excited that L's cousin is only 6months younger!) (2) clothes I want to keep (incase I pluck up the courage to consider being pregnant again!) (3) charity shop (to be kept for two more weeks until I find out what SIL has and she can have first refusal if it's a girl!). Oh, and have chosen 4 sleepsuits to send off to be made into a keepsake bear, only £20.

Between the cleaning, 4 loads of washing hung outside and then sorting the clothes, it's exhausted me!

I've checked the temperature of our room and it's 21c just now and L seems to be a fine temp. Like the sound of 0.5tog sleeping bags, I'm off to google Felix and Issac.

EdwardorEricCantDecide · 24/05/2012 03:24

Impressed with P's sleep the last 3 nights 5.5 hours and 6.5 last night. I still have massive dark rings under my eyes though :(

strawberrypenguin · 24/05/2012 07:26

Hope all the hot babies slept OK last night. W's room was also at 25 degrees he we had both his windows slightly open and he slept in a best and a 1.5 tog sleeping bag. Off to find those 0.5 ones now thanks for the tip Grin

Arabella36 · 24/05/2012 07:30

Hello, and sorry for butting in, but I saw this thread in "most active" this morning and it made me feel nostalgic so I've been reading some of your posts. I started the October 2011 baby bus way back, and I recognise lots of your names like penelope and eric and others, so I'm wondering if maybe your threads have carried on from that?

BTW, I stopped posting on the earlier threads because my pregnancy ended up being really complicated and I knew from early on that the twins would have to come a couple of months early at least, so I didn't feel in the same boat as everyone else anymore if you see what I mean.

Anyway, I want to wish everyone and their babies the very best and sorry again for sneaking in this morning but its been lovely thinking back to the excitement of the early pregnancy days Smile
