kitty - hurrah for lie ins! Our two were both awake at 6am

chillikat · 22/09/2012 13:40

I'm envious of your lie-in Kitty. We were up at 5, finally resettled her at 6 only for her to be shouting 'hiya' through the monitor again at 7am. She slept really well, I just wish it was a hour or two longer.

Take it easy Kitty, hopefully it'll heal faster then. Did they recut your previous scar or make a new one? I'm wondering if mine would get made neater (and less lumpy) if I had another.

Kittycatcat · 22/09/2012 14:28

They cut me in the same place and everyone's been very complimentary about it Wink. I haven't looked myself but apparently it's v smooth and tidy

chillikat · 22/09/2012 14:43

I don't think I dared to look at mine for a few weeks.

Kittycatcat · 23/09/2012 07:59

First poo - check.

chillikat · 23/09/2012 13:44

Well done Kitty! Shock Bet you're glad that one's out of the way.

JKSLtd · 23/09/2012 13:51

Grin & phew Kitty!

Kittycatcat · 23/09/2012 13:56

Thanks to the iron tablets it wasn't as bad as last time but v glad it's over Blush

Little man weighs 6.15 now. Need to fatten him up Grin

Kittycatcat · 23/09/2012 14:02

frak I think it's that time... We will need a shiny new thread soon Wink

ecuse · 24/09/2012 13:32

Aargh I am so pissed off. Our house purchase has just fallen through again. The vendors have been having trouble with their purchase and apparently they're so upset at all the hassle they've had they've just decided not to sell or move. I might have to retreat to the toilets at work for a weep. We are never going to move Sad

ecuse · 24/09/2012 13:33

I might add they appear to have decided this some time ago, but just haven't let us know. Even though we agreed to wait for them to find a new place after their last purchase fell through on the day of exchange. Fucking fuckers.

Kittycatcat · 24/09/2012 13:41

Oh ecuse that's shite Angry

ecuse · 24/09/2012 13:48

We are never going to get out of our 1-bed flat Sad Sad Sad

Kittycatcat · 24/09/2012 13:51

It must be so bloody frustrating. I'd be going nuts. I hope it all works out for you soon.

JKSLtd · 24/09/2012 14:39

Oh Ecuse, that is shite :(

The right place will come along again and hopefully next time the vendors won't be assholes so difficult.

Starshaped · 24/09/2012 15:20

Sad ecuse- the bastards. Have they at least agreed to compensate you for the fees that you've already paid out?

It must be soul destroying. We're in the process of buying but our vendors situation is complicated and I'm worried sick that they're going to pull out at the last minute.

ecuse · 24/09/2012 15:35

No, no compensation offered. This is the second vendor that has pulled out on us. First one was just as we were about to sign contracts - then their daugther got ill and they changed their mind about moving (understandable). With this second one we were supposed to sign contracts at the end of July but they lost their onward purchase and begged us to wait for them to find somewhere new. Then their solicitor went quiet on us about 4 weeks ago and stopped responding. Chased and chased and eventually sent the estate agent round to the house to ask them face to face and they said they'd changed their mind because they were 'so disheartened' by the whole process. Angry. I'm ranting now, but just so cross and disappointed. There's naff all on the market that I like the look of at all, and we're about to shell out for a third set of solicitor and survey fees and we're still in our 1-bed flat with a chuffing 17 month old baby.

Starshaped · 24/09/2012 16:10

God, that is awful. I really feel for you guys. People can be so selfish sometimes Sad. We would be absolutely screwed in your situation - we just couldn't afford to fork out for another set of fees etc.

Hopefully they'll get some bad karma back in return and you'll find somewhere perfect and chain free in return.

Frakiosaurus · 24/09/2012 17:38

Oh no ecuse Sad how utterly shit.

Happy 1 week birthday to kitten!

Kittycatcat · 24/09/2012 19:14

Thanks :-). Can't believe it's been a week already.

JKSLtd · 24/09/2012 19:27

Neither can I, wow a week flown by already!

MrsWajs · 24/09/2012 19:45

Oh no Ecuse that's so shitty for you :(
We're in a completely different but similarly frustrating housing related situation ourselves and I know how annoying/upsetting/disheartening it can be. Try and keep your chin up and I'm sure it'll all work out soon. :)

ILikeToMoveItMoveIt · 24/09/2012 19:55

A week already. I always find it amazing that as soon as a baby arrives it's like they've always been there.

Sorry to hear about your woes ecuse, what they have done is truly shit. Chin up lovely lady.

Alibabaandthe40nappies · 24/09/2012 20:01

Kitty a week! How are you? Are you taking it a bit easier?

Ecuse that is utterly shite. The system in England is shit, really shit. Sad It will come right, that house wasn't the one for you.

GsyPotatoPieEyed · 24/09/2012 21:36

Sorry about the house ecuse, rant away, you have good reason.
