Hello Frak, good to hear from you.

ILike Saw Caitlin Moran picked up on your biscuit tin question. I was stupidly excited for you. Grin

Kitty We'll all be lurking awaiting the news next week.

chillikat · 16/09/2012 09:20

Kitty, all the best for tomorrow. Hope everything goes smoothly.

Frak nice to see you back. Hope you get all your stuff back soon.

We've had a couple of viewings on our house this week - so the house is really clean and tidy. It's lovely but M will make sure it's not like that for too long :)

Alibabaandthe40nappies · 16/09/2012 15:46

Frak good to see you, glad the move went smoothly-ish :)

kitty - good luck for tomorrow! Shall be thinking of you. An elective is a totally different thing to an EMCS, totally.

T has decided that he likes doing wees on the toilet Confused He rushes into the bathroom, shouts 'wee wee' and then when we sit him on he actually does it! I am amazed, but also a bit ARRGGHHH because I can't face potty training again yet - we have only really just got DS1 properly sorted out!

Starshaped · 16/09/2012 17:22

Just checking in very quickly say I'll be thinking of you tomorrow Kitty. I'm excited for you! Smile

ILikeToMoveItMoveIt · 16/09/2012 18:53

Funny you should say that Ali, when ds3 gets out of the bath and is getting dressed for bed he runs behind the chair in his room, wee's on the carpet and paddles in it Hmm It happened too many times for it to be a coincidence. Then this evening he wee'd on the living room carpet, laughed then ran off and wee'd again. He knew exactly what he was doing and was pushing the wee out on purpose. It has made me wonder if we should get the potty out.

Like you, I bloody hated potty training, so I'm a bit 'nooooooooooo, not yet'

Good luck with the viewings Chilli, fingers crossed you find a buyer ASAP. Have you seen something that takes your fancy?

Good luck tomorrow kitty, you're going to be a mum of two Grin

chillikat · 16/09/2012 19:49

We've seen a few that we like. It seems a new possibility for us to buy comes up every few weeks. We fear our current choice will go quickly a it's a good price, but we've booked a second viewing to show we're keen.

I got a potty last week. Mainly to have around so M gets used to it. She likes sitting on it fully clothed, not so keen with her nappy removed so no proper use yet.

I've finally started tying and dying more clothes more my Etsy site. I'm also hoping to do a couple of craft fairs in the run up to Christmas.

Kittycatcat · 16/09/2012 20:58

Thanks everyone. I'll be on as soon as I can to update :-)

JKSLtd · 16/09/2012 21:26

Good luck Kitty :)

Frakiosaurus · 16/09/2012 21:26

Good luck kitty

We have a potty bit M seems to prefer free-weeing and stealth pooing. He knows when is about to, or has done, a poo so something about our very relaxed form of EC seems to be working. I'm actually quite keen to potty train in a way but I really don't want it to be a protracted process...

UnderwaterBasketWeaving · 16/09/2012 21:35

Good luck kitty!

No potty action here at all. If he knows what's going on in his pants he's in deep denial. "have you had a poo?" "no" "do you need a new nappy?" "no" "you have and you do, come here" and filthy wrestling match ensues.

Kittycatcat · 17/09/2012 08:48

We are here. We are 2nd on the list but there's a poss emergency that will interrupt it. So prob lunch time. And hopefully still home tomorrow if no complications.

JoEW · 17/09/2012 08:54

Good luck, Kitty!! Can't wait to see new baby pics on facebook.

ILikeToMoveItMoveIt · 17/09/2012 15:04

Is anyone else rather jealous of Kitty?! Not the whole slicing open of the abdomen bit (obv), but the fact she may well be holding a new baby by now?

I defo don't want another baby, but newborns are just so amazing and special

Ds3 has got a cold and had a shocker of a night last night. He has probably slept through every night for the past 8 months, so last night felt EVIL.

Your post made me laugh UBW Grin

Alibabaandthe40nappies · 17/09/2012 15:25

'filthy wrestling match' yep we have those here!

ILike - yes I am a bit jealous of kitty, I would love a snuggle with a lovely newborn Grin And then to have them returned to me when they are about 18 months Grin

GlaikitFizzog · 17/09/2012 15:30

My friend is having a snugly newborn anytime! I'll get my fix there!

Still nothing on the job front, not sure if it's a good or bad sign!

Alibabaandthe40nappies · 17/09/2012 15:42

Fizz - sounds like they are having a good think about it, which if it had someone's name pencilled in is probably a good thing for you!

Starshaped · 17/09/2012 15:44

Yep, I'm definitely a bit jealous too. Although, again I'm so not jealous of the whole lack of sleep...

DD has slept terribly all week (three fucking hours of hell on Saturday night!). I'd
got use to her sleeping through and this
return to sleeplessness is horrid! She's
got a cold and I think there's a wonder week round about now, so am hoping it's related to this rather than being a new 'thing'...

UnderwaterBasketWeaving · 17/09/2012 18:09

Ah, no kitty news still!

Still got fingers crossed for you Fizz, I reckon Ali's right though.

Star what's wonder week?

I've got no hankerings for another at present. I did, when F turned one, but that was more like "right, we've had a good practice, let's do a real one!" Hmm

Sometimes I think maybe in a few years, sometimes I think things are (finally) great how they are, why rock the boat?

I assume, however, that my ovaries will hold my rational mind hostage at some point like last time! Blush

chillikat · 17/09/2012 18:41

We'll join you on an awful night last night. DH and I (and M) must have had about 4 hours sleep :( she refused Calpol twice and woke every hour or so howling. Only BF seemed to help. She's started snotty today so I think it might have been a cold, or teeth, or developmental - yes, Star there's supposedly a big developmental leap around 18 months. I want her to get it over with and back to good long sleeps. Even with the bad night she thought it was a good idea to wake for the day at 6am. We're having a mega early night tonight - and strictly for sleeping Wink

Hope it all went ok for Kitty. I'm kinda jealous too.

sleepdodger · 17/09/2012 19:53

Waves Blush
I belong here but ahem only just realised

Starshaped · 17/09/2012 20:47

God, not sure what happened to the spacing on my last post - I blame it entirely on my ridiculous phone Blush.

Kitty has posted on Facebook. I'll leave her to make the big announcement herself :) Grin

Sorry to hear you had a rubbish night too chilli - join me in a glass of Wine. Fingers crossed for more sleep for us all tonight.

UBW The Wonder Weeks is a book which was written by some Dutch academics who specialise in child development. Their research has found that there a number of specific developmental leaps at certain weeks / months of a child's life and suggests that while babies are going through these sleeps they become fussier, more sleepless etc. Errh, I think that's it in a nutshell but am sure there will be an Aprilite out there who knows more about it than me!

Welcome sleepdodger

GsyPotatoPieEyed · 17/09/2012 21:36

sleepdodger, I think you'll fit right in. Your post made me Grin

Well done Kitty. I've just seen the pics on FB too. Pass the Wine Star Let's celebrate.

JKSLtd · 17/09/2012 21:39

Hello & welcome sleepdodger :)

Congrats Kitty, assuming all is well?

on the Wine here too, Dh away, and i really should be going to bed early...

Kittycatcat · 17/09/2012 22:22

Hello everyone Grin

So we went down about 230 in the end I think. Alexander Robert was born at 2:49 weighing 7 1b 5oz. He's gorgeous and so far very content. Sadly two of his toes are stuck together on each foot. I feel like its my fault for some reason. The nurse says the bones are there so it will be a straight forward snip. I feel a bit rough. Have been sick a few times. S came to visit and was great. Gave A a kiss and his sheep cuddly. Hoping to go home tomorrow.

Welcome sleepdodger. and I hope the rest of you get some sleep now.

I'll pop some pics on the fb page now. Thanks for all your thoughts and wonderful support. You are truly lovely ladies.

Starshaped · 17/09/2012 23:23

Huge congratulations again Kitty. He is really really beautiful. My jealousy levels have severely ramped up since seeing the pictures of your gorgeous little boy!

I know it must have been a shock about his little toes but it sounds like there's a straight forward fix - and of course it is absolutely not your fault. The post baby hormones must be kicking in already!

Hope that you both have a peaceful night Smile
