How fab to see the first gold medal Jo Smile

I don't think C sounds behind with his speech. They are all so different. Ds2 didn't really say very much, then around his 2nd birthday he had a vocabulary explosion and hasn't stopped since. I think as well that boys tend to vocalise later than girls.

Good luck with the choir Fizz, what are you singing?

I have noticed that I takes himself off somewhere quiet to poo, luckily he has had his nappy on Grin

Ds3 has had 2 haircuts so far. The back grows faster than the top and sides so he needs regular cuts to keep the mullet from developing!

Starshaped · 03/08/2012 14:33

DD isn't saying much either Jo. Not sure there's much incentive for her to start either when she can make her feelings known by squealing and gesticulating! DN didn't say a word until he about two and hasn't shut up since. His mum misses the peace and quiet!

We have been having regular haircuts here for months. Her hair is wild - it's the one thing that strangers always comment on. She's got a proper thatch - just a shame it's so unruly!

ecuse · 03/08/2012 14:44

When Jo needs a poo she takes herself off to have a lean against a wall or something, braces both hands and gets a look of intense concentration.

My mum says I used to hide behind the sofa to do one :o

Kittycatcat · 03/08/2012 14:56

I know its a way off yet but I'm seeing a new thread title developing. Haha Wink

TeamGlaikitBritain · 03/08/2012 14:57

It was the noise B makes that gave him away behind the curtain .

Anyway it's cleaned up now and my neighbour works in a dry cleaners so she is going to pick them up and take them in with her tomorrow.

ILTMIMI we are singing a medely from Mamma Mia. Wouldn't have been my top choice but it's quite nice. I have a solo in Take a chance on me on Sunday and I'm conducting on Saturday!!

caramellokoalalover · 04/08/2012 21:51

Inspired by seeing all the pics of the LOs on FB I thought I'd pop my head in and say hello. Has been waaaay too long between postings Blush.

Am loving reading about how everyone is doing and what the babies/toddlers are up to. Still thinking of S as a baby really as she's on the 9% line so still quite teeny and not walking. She has very little interest in walking unless we hold her hands, which I'm reluctant to do given the killer it is on my back. TBH I'm in no rush for her to walk, just tiring of my mother asking me for weekly progress reports Smile

A few very random words, like Daisy (Upsy Daisy) - the shame at how much ITNG she must be exposed too Wink, and daddy, byebye, doodoo (poo - charming).

MrsWajs · 05/08/2012 01:09

Wow all the pics on fb are great, so many of your LOs look like toddlers now! R still looks firmly like a baby IMO as she is still pretty much bald but....she did start officially walking yesterday!! She did her first steps about a month ago but had been pretty disinterested in repeating the experience since and then yesterday she just got up and started toddling across the living room floor all by herself! She's very pleased with herself!

Also not sure if she still posts here or if it's already been mentioned but I believe aussiemummy is pg again! Congrats if you're lurking :)

Kittycatcat · 05/08/2012 06:52

Awh that's fab mrsw

And congrats aussie

UnderwaterBasketWeaving · 05/08/2012 07:26

Congratulations Aussie!

And well done MiniWajs on the walking. That was what F did; randomly walked across a friend's living room, then didn't do it again fir about 6 weeks!

ILikeToMoveItMoveIt · 05/08/2012 10:22

Congratulations Aussie Smile and well done on the walking R.

How's the choir going Fizz ?

I will get round to putting a pic of I on FB!

TeamGlaikitBritain · 06/08/2012 08:48

Hello! You may all form an orderly queue to have my autograph! :o

Choir was fantastic! I loved it! But the best bit was meeting Ashley banjo from Diversity! He is very very tall and has huge hands! The photo of us together it quite comical! I'll post it on FB when I get a copy. I think there will be you tube videos too so if you want I'll post a link to them too! I can't wait to see what we are doing next!

ILikeToMoveItMoveIt · 06/08/2012 09:12

Is Ashley just as good looking in rl? Envy

Did you come up to his navel?

Did you have to stop yourself from licking him?

Kittycatcat · 06/08/2012 09:13

Well done fizz. Would love to see the video. How good is that. I'd look rather silly next to him with my 4.11 frame. Will keep my eyes peeled on fb. Glad it went well.

Terrible night with s. I expected it tbh as we were at the inlaws all day and rather than putting s down for a nap we kept him going so he slept in the car, came in, had his bottle and went to bed. He stirred a couple of times but after 12 wouldnt stop crying so I gave him a hug and put him down and he kicked off. I gave him medicine and gel as he's also teething and that didn't help. Calmed him and put him down and he kicked off. When I was working we would bring him in with us cos a) we needed to sleep and b) were worried about the neighbours. But there will be a littler person in our room in 6 weeks and we can't have him coming in with us then so I let him cry it out. Eeee. Needs must but it was horrible. He'd stop then start again. Felt like a life time but wasn't that long. 15 mins maybe. Then he woke at 630 but I left him and he went back to sleep til 730. Yay. I said we aren't missing a nap again. It ruins his pattern. Then he asked for more milk this morning which he clearly didn't need as he sicked up the excess... In his hair... Which is being cut today.... So he's now had a bath. He's in a good mood tho.

Kittycatcat · 06/08/2012 09:14

Pmsl ilike

Daisy17 · 06/08/2012 09:21

Aw, Kitty, those nights are just so horrid. It's never any use putting S in our bed, he writhes around and gets even more upset. It's cuddles or nothing with him so quite a few times I've just had to shut the door on him and curl up in a ball till he goes quiet. Or cave in and go back in and sit in the chair with him till he starts snoring! [Grin] Hugs for being brave.

Very jealous of all this FB action - is it possible to find any of you on there so I can see pics? Don't worry if not.

Kittycatcat · 06/08/2012 09:25

I managed to calm him stroking his hair in his cot but that only worked while I was there.

Absolutely you can add me. We created a mumsnet april page but I can't think how to add you. Anyone?

Daisy17 · 06/08/2012 10:16

Thanks, Kitty, will wait for someone techy to come and enlighten us.... :)

TeamGlaikitBritain · 06/08/2012 10:27

He was fully clothed unfortunately I think I would have been about nipple height. He was just off stage, but, oh my he smelled lovely, all manly Blush. I made a bit of a tit of myself when I asked for the photo, but I don't care! I refrained from asking him to sign my boob in eyeliner! I think he is younger than my brother! That's bad!!

Daisy, send me your email address by pm and I'll add you to the fb page.

TeamGlaikitBritain · 06/08/2012 15:37

For anyone not on fb here's the new man in my life

TeamGlaikitBritain · 06/08/2012 15:38

And if anyone wonders what Glaikit looked like, check oot ma face!!

Alibabaandthe40nappies · 06/08/2012 15:53

Hello everyone!

Can't believe how big our babies are now! T is still going at life like a bull in a china shop, his new favourite trick is to climb on DS1's bike and try to ride it Grin He still doesn't sleep much.

We have got a few words, Mummy, Daddy, DS1, biscuit, Mama! (bellowed at high volume when he is sitting on my lap which is a request for BF and makes me giggle), no, me-me (means 'I want that').

kitty I can't believe you are almost having another, not long to go now!

ILikeToMoveItMoveIt · 06/08/2012 16:20

Lol @ check oot ma face. I even said it in my head with an (appalling) Scots accent.

Your expression cracks me up, it's saying 'holy shit. Ashley Banjo has his arm around me and I wonder if he is hung ' Grin

Lovely to see you Ali. glad to hear that T is still loving life, however not so glad that he thinks sleep is for wimps. Don't stay away so long next time

GsyPotatoPieEyed · 06/08/2012 21:13

Great photo Fizz, I have to confess I saw the picture on Fb first and didn't have the foggiest of who he was Blush.

There must be something in the air with all this random pooing. DS, yes DS not DD did a major poo pant filler in his underpants at the library this afternoon. Luckily it didn't seep through to his shorts as my DM had dropped them both off to me at work and didn't bring the supply bag. Despite several scrubbings of hand sanitizer I'm sure I can still smell it on my fingers [boak]

TeamGlaikitBritain · 06/08/2012 21:25

Bi carb gsy, add a little water and let it foam. Makes your nails sparkly too!

JoEW · 07/08/2012 08:57

Hi Ali! Glad you're ok. I'd been wondering where you were.

Fizz I love that photo! You made me giggle. How old is he?!

Kitty hope you had a better night. Love the new haircut, it does make them look so grown up, suddenly.

We are getting quite a few bad nights, we get a couple then we'll have a run of great ones. What is getting me is that on the bad ones I simply don't know what the issue is. After trying the usual range of tricks (water, milk, calpol, nappy change) I have sometimes resorted to bringing him into bed with us but he just wants to play. And twice I have fallen back to sleep and woken up to the sound of him plonking to the floor and screaming. Bad mummy.

He is fine if I am in his room with him but the minute I leave he's standing up and crying. I wonder if it's seperation anxiety. There's clearly nothing wrong with him.

Nice tip too fizz. The thought of slightly poo-ey fingers is making me feel a bit queasy, mind.

C has learnt a word. It's "ow" and he combines it with slapping his head. I believe its to do with the Five Little Monkeys song but it's attracting some funny looks.
