ILikeToMoveItMoveIt · 25/06/2012 14:03

All of this talk of babies makes my ovaries twitch Grin

We got back from our hols yesterday and I am currently tackling the washing mountain of doom. The bloody rain better stay away.....

Cyprus was great. The boys were great, but gawd it was hard work and relentless. But still glad we done it. It was mostly the heat that made it such hard work tbh.

Can't believe your ML is only around the corner kitty, how fab.

Also great to hear your scare has helped you make a decision Fizz.

I know what you mean about your periods returning Ali, I thought the same. They're back now until the menopause - such fun Hmm

We haven't seen CycleBump here for ages, hope she's ok.

Glaikit · 25/06/2012 14:07

Didn't cycle ump nc? I'm confused, not difficult I know, can we have a list again!

Btw you guys can still call me fizz! It's weird you calling me Glaikit!

I didn't even realise there wasnt fizz in your name anymore! Confused

Oh yes, cycle did name change but she hasn't been on the thread though. At least I don't think so.

Kittycatcat · 25/06/2012 15:24

Have asked MN to remove it. Seems there is no other way :(

Glaikit · 25/06/2012 15:25

Phew! That was a hairy moment! Don't worry kitty I very nearly did the same thing!

Kittycatcat · 25/06/2012 15:27

At least they responded quickly. phew.

Glaikit · 25/06/2012 15:33

I reported it too just incase you'd gone offline! I think that none who knows me well would work out I'm me on here, but I know some are keen on staying anonymous.

No harm done!

chillikat · 25/06/2012 16:33

I'm intrigued - was it our real names list? (That makes us all sound like secret agents :o )

Alibabaandthe40nappies · 25/06/2012 16:43

Yes I reported it too! Don't worry kitty :)

I have moaned about various relations far too much to let my identity become public, and I am very attached to my MN name!

chilli - it was. I felt myself come out in a prickly sweat! Grin

Hello lovely ladies, long time no see!

I am very reassured to see that Finn isn't the only one not walking or with teeth! I think he is just lazy but being number 4 he was always going to have people passing him stuff, although at 15months I hope he starts doing it soon.

Congratulations to all of you who are pg again and fingers crossed for those wanting to be. I was pg with dc5 but had mc 3 wks ago at 10wks.

Had an eventful time with F as he has got really bad eczema and a whole heap of allergies! He is allergic to milk, eggs, cats, peanuts and soya :( He is on a mixture of milks, 1 is a formula that is hypoallergenic and the other is an Oat milk which he seems to like. The oat milk is great for cooking with and has made a few things easier. Bless him though, he is such a happy little chap and is always smiling and gabbling away.

Will try and have a little catch up as haven't been on for ages!

Kittycatcat · 25/06/2012 20:55

Hello april
So sorry to hear of your mc.
And bless f.

Alibabaandthe40nappies · 25/06/2012 21:08

Hi April!

Sorry to hear about your mc :( And about all F's allergies - what a nightmare for you all to deal with :(

kitty it is the pits being pregnant through the summer, it just makes all the cankle/swelling/puffy hands stuff so much worse.

AprilMeadow · 26/06/2012 07:19

Thanks ladies.

To be honest the allergy thing isn't so bad. We know what he can eat at home and we batch bake special cakes for him and freeze them so he can have the same as his brother and sisters. Eating out is a little more stressful but if all else fails he can have jacket potato and beans :). The Consultant thinks he will grow out of most of them as 90% of children do, but the milk allergy is so high she isn't sure if he will out grow that one. His soya allergy is probably the first he will out grow so fingers crossed as they seem to put it in EVERYTHING!

Kitty, I had dd2 in Sept 09 and whilst the summer was interesting with the heat etc it was a great excuse to eat ice-cream and dip your toes in the paddling pool. Just think of the cute outfits you can dress him in for Halloween and Christmas :)

Kittycatcat · 26/06/2012 08:14

Thanks april :). yeah i might get my foot spa out from under the stairs. I pl;onked down in the recliner yesterday and hubby did dinner while my feet returned to their normal size..oh yes cute outfits :))))))

JoEW · 27/06/2012 10:52

Hello April ladies!

I do still pop on now and again but usually at work when I am supposed to be doing something else. Like now. Hope everyone is on good form! I am sorry, I never have time to read everything properly to catch up on all the news. Is it just Kitty that's pregant? How cool that you are starting ML, really hope it stops raining! I have spent most of this summer thinking 'thank god it wasn't like this last year', my epic walks in the park so that C could nap would have been a lot more soggy.

Sorry to hear about your MC April. Hope you're doing ok, it's a sad time.

Hope everyone who's been ill is on the mend too.

Life is good here. We moved house, finally, and work is going well. I love my Friday's off with C and he's loving nursery, so that doesn't feel nearly as hard as it did at the beginning.

No walking here yet but he's trying to stand up unaided. He's always been quite far behind where he 'should' be but we've been discharged from physio as they are completely happy with him, which is ace. He's babbling away but no words yet. He says mama but that seems to be entirely food related, I pretend it isn't.

I'm currently planning a major work trip which is going to have me out in South Africa for TWO WEEKS in September. I am absolutely dreading being away from C for so long! It's so spoilt of me, as it's a lovely thing to do, but I am going to miss him terribly.

In other news. I am having a get together with eight of the other babies (and their mums) from when we were in neonatal. Three sets of twins, one girl and another boy. All coming over on Sunday. I am really excited about seeing everyone.

That's about it with my news. Love to all!

Kittycatcat · 27/06/2012 11:07

Hi joew

Great to hear C is doing so well :). I would struggle with two days so can imagine how you must feel re two weeks!

spoutlet is also pg. (formerly countspoutula). i think she must be due in Nov... we havent heard from her in aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaages tho.

Have a lovely time Sunday

JoEW · 27/06/2012 11:09

Oh, while I'm here. Has anyone else's DC turned into an absolute diva recently? We have major objections to everything - "no you can't play with the screwdrivers", "no you can't feed raisins to the dog", "no you can't climb the stairs", all greeted with flinging body backwards and loud crying.

Love him, though.
